                         MY REVIEW 

 One mistake a long time ago comes back like a tornado. Liam broke Sloane's heart at the age of 16. They grew up in the club and thought they would be forever. Torn apart by a stupid decision . Years later Sloane is back to try and bring the chapters back together.  After their fathers died the club fell apart . Liam has been under a life of regret and the legacy that is falling apart around him. Sloane is a force to be reckoned with. A tornado wrapped up in a thunderstorm. She is the only woman that can help save the club and his heart from the wreckage of the past. 

    These are such a great set of characters flawed and oh so real . Liam is an alpha man but man is he ever flawed . He is fighting demons of the past and hurting over the love he lost. He is carrying a lot of guilt from the past that haunts him everyday. Sloane the woman he loves comes home like a tornado. She is tired of the way the clubs are being handled. She has a hard life and has come back tougher and stronger than ever . He past has been one of hurt but a learning experience that will have most people hiding in the corner . From being attacked by ex bikers that knew her dad to going into special forces and becoming the head of the south chapter of the biker gang that have split. She is a force to be reckoned with but she is also a very hurt young lady who wants to heal and find the man that has held her heart since she was a teen. Both these characters are so well written , they are flawed and hurting but together they are stronger and better . We also get to meet some of the funniest most loving characters . 

 This is one of those books that you think nah it will just be violence and alpha men parading around . But honestly it isn't . It is about two people that have been hurt by their past and want to heal from it . The author takes us on an emotional journey of healing and finding the love that was lost so long ago. I read this book in a weekend . I really loved the characters and just wanted to wrap them both up in a warm blanket and give them cookies cause they needed a little time . I will say that there are triggers that will be revealed through out the book. But it doesn't take away from the characters and the story . So if you want a good series for your fall reading list check it out .

                        MY REVIEW 

 Petra and Rand are back in the Cloistered city after winning the battle at Mynydd. Things at home aren't what they seem. They are welcomed home by her mother and trusted slave Bartholomew with Lindy in tow they try and settle down. But things start to get crazy when Rand is taken in for questioning and Petra is shown around the palace which seems strange. When Sunniva wants to have Rand to herself and has a hatred for Petra. She makes a spectacle of them at her wedding and uses Rand in ways that keep him a shell of the man that he was . Petra tries to help him as she tries to pull Rand and Petra apart. Wanting all the power for herself. Even as things start to look bleak will she be able to save Rand or sacrifice herself in hopes of curing Rand. Will she save him from the evil taking over . 

 Petra and Rand are back and honestly better than ever . Petra really comes into her own as the lady of the house and the woman that will do anything to make sure Rand and her house are safe and secure. Rand seems to be more troubled with everything that is happening . Why the Emperor and the Empress are interested in them and what they can do with their bond. They are fighting for their lives and what they have made for themselves but everyone seems to be against them .They are becoming more and more complex and we get to see them grow and evolve. I am truly liking how they are evolving and growing . 

  This story starts right after the end of book one . We get to see how they come back from war and how everyone fits together and also the underside of what it is like as a lord and lady in the city. There are twists and turns through out the book and you are on the edge of the seat all the way through. I couldn't put this one down the author took us on an epic journey of love and what would one do to keep the other safe. This is one of those books you can read in evening. I will tell you it will leave you wanting more. There is a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens in the last book in the series . Another great book for your fall reading list .

                         MY REVIEW 

  Petra is taken to the Cloistered City when she turned of age to work in the city as a clothes washer . She wants to rise in the ranks to courier but she has secret plans to find out what happened to her brother and the lies that are being told about him killing himself. When she takes the chance and becomes a courier to a captain of the Shivlary. Captain Rand Tsenturian a man who captivates her heart and her mind . When she finds out that her brother and the brooding captain knew each other . When he comes out of the shadows and takes her to a special garden where she incites an ancient incantation that binds them together .  She is the sacred and he is the sacrifice and together they will tear the walls of the Cloistered City down . 

    Petra and Rand are actually the most unlikely couple you will meet . Petra is a hard working peasant who is trying to find out what happened to her brother after he came to the Cloistered City . She is hard working and a little bit naive in the ways of the court life and what it means to claw your way to the top. When she is thrust into a world where she can't be without Rand her other half or physical pain will come to them both. She grows up fast and really becomes a force to be reckoned with. She becomes a woman of court with a heart that takes every person seriously . Rand is well he is broody and is all about being part of the Elite company Shivarly. He has even taken a vow of celibacy . He is tough and single minded about what must be done . Until the day Petra comes into his life and incites the incantation that will send them both into uncharted territory. He is driven to fight and protect but is also conflicted to the feeling he has for Petra. He wants more but he doesn't want to give up all that he is for what he can have. 

  This is one of those books that starts out as a mystery and then takes a turn and turns into a full on Romantasy . With beautiful harsh landscapes and the variety of people and social classes it honestly reminds me of Game of Thrones and LOTRS . I truly liked this book and the writing style is superb. This is one of those books that will have you reading all night . I couldn't put it down. So if you want a great book for the long fall evenings check it out .
