   Good afternoon peeps , sorry about not being around been busy and also needed a break after reader round up. But i am back and I have for you book 5 in the Daughter of the Moon series . THE WHEE OF FORTUNE  by Hp Mallory.

                            MY REVIEW

 Welcome back to the daughters of the moon. Kate finds herself in a different universe Obsidian where she is trying to find Valerian who was taken by his crazy ex girlfriend . When she bargains part of her soul away and then pulls her naked mother and her trusted guardian through to the other side. Along with Luke the magician who is her guide and is hopelessly in love with her . She and her band of ragamuffins have to go and find an object that could or could not end the mortal and shadow world. She must find the Eternal witch who is the sister of the crazy raven witch . Will Kate be able to save the worlds and get back to their universe in one piece. 

  Kate and the gang are back and honestly funnier than ever. Kate is still trying to come to terms with the powers she has but there are moments that she doubts herself and all that she can do. When push comes to shove and she stops doubting herself she can do so much more . Thank goodness she has good friends that have her back and will keep her safe. Luke is poor long suffering guide who has to teach and try and not fall in love with Kate.  With the rest of the crew they will try and figure out how to get Valerian and part of her soul back . We get to see the Raven witch in all her glory and her sister and save the world . When you get everyone together the laughs start up again . Each character is well written and you will love them from the very start. They get more and more complex with each story oh Rocco is back and funnier than ever. For a talking goat he makes the story so much fun to read. 

  This is one of those stories that you can pick up and start reading and laugh your way all the way through .  The author loves to write snarky, sassy characters that are flawed but you can see the good in them and fall for them.  I am so happy that she is back and writing good stories . If you want a fun series check out THE DAUGHTER OF THE MOON series . You will not be disappointed .

The reigns have been handed down to the younger generation, the generation whose ties are connected by deceptions in the past. He walked away thinking he would have infinite absolution once the love of his life became truly his under the eyes of God.                        MY REVIEW

 This four book series follows the lives of a family that Michelina didn't really know she had and what happens the day that things went wrong in her life but actually saved her life in the process,  She is taken to a world where you can't trust anyone not even the closest people that come into her life As the books go on we see how they thrive and start to take over the family business. As Agosto finds the love that was taken away from him . He keeps Vivian in his life and is ready to retire the family and give over the Michelina and Luca . Between saving her best friends life or save the life of the brother she never knew she had . As she saves her best friend things happen that hurt the family . But there is damage has been done and will her best friend survive what happened to her. 

   This is a series of books that the characters start out strong and keep getting stronger. Michelina has a back bone of steel and a sassiness that shines through out the books . In book one we see her as the sweet school teacher and by book 4 you see her as the head of the family and putting things right and keeping everyone safe . Luca has been torn between two worlds and when he saves Michelina he decides to keep her safe and you see by book 4 how he fits in with his family more and more . We have so many characters through out the books . I think Agosto and Vivian are my favourite . Agosto the head of the family and getting older everyday. Vivian was his first love until she was taken away by his rival . After years of waiting we see how revenge can work but doesn't want to have Vivian or Michelina hurt in any way. You love how the characters evolve and grow more complex with each book. 

  This series of books shows the growth of the characters and how they evolve into the people they become at the end of the series . I truly love this author's writing style and how she draws you in with such interesting characters and back stories . I will admit there are cliff hangers at the end of each book but it is great cause the next book is right behind it. So if you like a mafia series  with stories that will have you engrossed the whole time and actually like the characters this the series for you . So if you want a good story this is the series for you. Add it to your fall reading list

 Welcome to the naughty side of reader round up.  This collection takes some of best loved fairy tales and shortens them up and gives them a dirty little twist. 

  This is such a fun collection of short stories . Each story is set in and around the 17 century . Where woman were seen and not heard and the men are manly men. We see the women finally beginning to get what they want from the men in their lives, who knew that they could have so much fun. All the stories are concise and well written, my favourite story is LORD de BHERE'S LADY  it is loosely based on Goldilocks and the three bears . When Isabelle's husband comes home with a proposition that can not be denied . When the desires of the night become carnal and new things and sensations are brought out and loved . Each story is crafted with such a a complexity you will love the short stories . 

    This is a fun collection that will have you blushing and reading well into the night . They are fun fast reads that you will enjoy. We all love our fairy tales but some of us like our fairy tales a little twisted

    Good afternoon peeps today we are diving into book 6 of the Ardulum space opera series . ARDULUM MIRRORS OF ANDAL  by J.S Fields

 The planet Ardulum has died and taken with it every last andal tree, and piece of andal cellulose tech—dissolving the Alpha Plane down to lightspeed travel and archaic communication. Yet Ardulum’s consciousness still lives, unwelcome, inside Atalant’s body. But two consciousnesses cannot share one host—especially not when one is a former planet.

Amidst the remains of a shattered galaxy, Guard Four and the Keft scrapper Bell chance a return to the Neek homeworld, where andal is still rumored to grow. A stable forest of andal could power the Cell-Tal technology to save Eld Atalant's life. Instead, Guard Four and Bell find a populace grappling with the aftershocks of Ardulum's death, and find Ardulum’s genetic influence is wider than they thought.

                     MY REVIEW 

 Ardulum has died taking the last andal tree with it along with the tech that it supplied. Ardulum still lives but lives inside Atalant and is kind of driving her crazy.  What remains wants a body of it own. Emn is desperate to save Atlant and will do almost anything to save her. If Emn can avoid the Chartered systems assassins jut long enough to Thesby there is a chance that they can be reunited . 

  This is the 6th book in the series . The characters just keep becoming more and more complex. There is such a special relationship between Emn and Atalant. You see such a sweetness and a tenderness between them . We also get to see some ooey gooey sweet emotions from Bell and Guard four . We don't know what it really is but they are so cute together. You  can't help but caring for these characters . They are fun to read and fall for . 

 This book didn't take me as long to read as book 5 .  It read faster and the characters jump out at you.  This author is thorough with the story line and the character . No character feels less than the man characters. This is a series that has your head in outer space and your heart wit the character. I suggest you add this series to your fall reading list .

                     MY REVIEW 

     Sully who is a demon hunter, he has been wandering Los Angeles  killing demons . Until the day he walks into a bar and offers to help Mick. She is worried about her missing friend and when Sully walks into the bar their world changes. Secrets are found out and destinies are unlocked for Mick. Sully is by her side the whole time. But the question is can they survive the secrets that are revealed and will they survive the chase and the fight between Heaven and Hell. 

  This book starts out with a fight between heaven and hell, with Arch Angel Micheal leading the charge. The pact was formed and Asmodeus and Jophiel are picked and agreed to this pact. A child was born and the passage is safe . Now we get to see Sully and those that are helping or hindering what the pact has kept secret all those years.  Each character is well written and very complex . There are multiply points of view in this story and characters that we can and can't trust. These characters are going to take you to the edge of your seat through out this story. 

  This author is a new author to me and I really love the way she lays out a story and characters.  This is a story that will have you sucked in by the end of the first chapter . I truly loved this story and read it in an evening . I want to check out book from this author. Her story building is amazing and you will get sucked in fast.  If you like books about good versus evil heaven versus hell. Check out this book if you want a good story with really good characters . Add it to your fall reading list.

                        MY REVIEW 

    As a battle worn Fae assassin Kane is battle weary and battle ready for what is to come next. He has two battle ready wing men or this case wing women . Avery a mortal with a touch of fairie in her to use magic on those they capture and Ariana the last of a long line of witches . They are a on the hunt when a body shows up drained of all their blood. As the bodies start to pile up the three of them are on the hunt and to make matters worse an old flame of Kane's  shows up just to throw some more flames to the fire. Will they be able keep streets of West Houston safe or will the undead take over city. 

     Kane and ladies are back and better than ever. Kane is a Fae assassin and has killed many a demons . He is dangerous but lovable man who will kill those that have done wrong. Avery is a mortal woman who is strong willed and wants help keep the streets clean of all things. She is attracted to Kane but they never act on it. Ariana is the last in the line of witches . She is strong with magic. Both women are strong willed and sassy. They get as they get and they and they are so fun to read.  They are such fun characters and they are very complex . 

   This is the fourth book in the series and it is such a fun read . The author has a fun sense when it comes to his writing. The characters are well written and you will love them. The story is faced pace and you can't put the book down . I read this book in the evening and truly enjoyed it . I really enjoyed it and want to go back and read the ones I missed. So if you want a fun read for your fall reading list.

                         MY REVIEW

 It has been fifteen years since Atalant was jettisoned from their space craft after questioning their planet's religion. But she didn't die she just disappeared . Now Guard Four has been hopping from docking bay to docking bay trying to find Atalant and the traveling planet of Ardulum to show that the traveling planet is not a mystic diety that here people thought it was. 

They must unravel Ardulan fact from the myth to save her friend and billions of others that are being threatened by the Void. How does a person suppose to stop the void with out giving it what it wants Ardulum and its destruction. 

There are actually two stories going on at the same time through this book . We have Guard Four and her hunt for Atalant and Ardulum. She is on a mission to find out what happened. She is fighting for what is right and wants to get to the bottom of the missing Ardulum and what happened to her friend. When Atalant comes back as an elder . A little older and a little bit more smart . They want to clear Atalant 's name and show them that Ardulum is real . Salice and Nicolas are trying to find survivors . They both are wanting to find family that is like them and they want to keep everyone safe and together. Each of these characters are well written and complex. They are very intense when it comes to each others and those who they love keeping them safe. 

   This is one of those books that you will sit down and read and it will suck you in . The author does such a great job keeping the story lines separate but also combined at the same time. The plot is complex and you find out something new every second chapter . These are characters that you will love , laugh with and cry. This book does have a big twist in the end and you do kinda gasp but it will keep you reading all night . A great read for those nights where you are up late and need a good space opera to keep you entertained .

                      MY REVIEW 

 Sorin is master chemist working on helping the guilds after magic was banished to edges of the world. When Queen Magda wants to end the guild and bring everything up to date. Sorin is tasked to releasing the magic that is caught in the amulets to try and help the guilds . Magda wants to bring in the industrial revolution to help the people . As they venture out on their missions they find a wake of destruction as they find themselves in the wake of the rapidly growing industry. They see the harm of what can be happening. They have to make a decision on if they can bring back the guilds or keep going with the industrial . One will loose Sorin their queen and the other will loose them their heritage. 

   Sorin and Magda are basically 2 sides of the same coin. Sorin is clinging to their old traditions and Magda wants to usher in a new age for their land . Sorin is shy and just wants to work on what they are meant to do. Work on figuring out how to keep magic and the guilds alive .  Magda is an outgoing woman who as queen wants to bring the land up to a new age. Sometimes they butt heads and Magda comes off as a little pushy toward Sorin. But they love and care deeply for each other Sorin is the focus of this book and we really get to see how they grow through their adventures . Magda doesn't have a starring role in this story she is more of a back character we don't really get to see her through out the story. There are various side characters that come into play and have such good relations with Sorin . These characters are so well written complex. You will start caring for each of them by chapter 2

     This is one of those books that will take you on a wild adventure. It is a multifaceted story with great characters. You see how the author ushers us into a new era in history and what happens when you are bringing new things into the world. This has some interesting characters. Sorin is non binary and Magda is part of the LBGT . This book is a really cool read for ones that are coming to terms with things in their life . It is a YA  book but adults can read and get lost in the world just as easy. You really don't have to read book one if you don't want to but if you want to get a more in depth back story it would be good to read. So if you want a sapphic read for your fall check it out

 Nearly two years ago, I was nearly dead when Kaysee Belluomo drained me completely of my blood. However, a peculiar angel with a tarnished halo and fangs, by the name of Jarod Fox, came to my rescue and saved my life, albeit by turning me into a vampire.

LET ME START BY SAYING, I DIDN’T ASK TO BE A VAMPIRE, BUT IT’S BEEN, LIKE, THE COOLEST THING EVER.

I was finally acclimated to being a blood-sucking vamp and now I was being considered to be queen of a failing vampire kingdom, after the Reina and Rey were slain. Wow! Is this real life? Lil’ old me? A vampire queen? It was an unrealistic fantasy, which may never come to fruition if Princesa Santana Alamilla, who wanted the crown more, had her way and, kill me.

Who woulda thought this little Rodeo Queen had the potential to be a Vampire Queen? Hell, I didn’t, but I was up for the challenge.

Would I finally meet a Prince Charming to replace the void in my heart every man left? Not sure about that either, but dreams are a wish your heart makes, right?

                      MY REVIEW 

  After being attacked by a crazy vampire on a bus Valainah was hanging on by a thread. When an angel that brought her back to life. That angel was a vampire name Jarod. Who with is mentor Rainer have been helping her for the last two years . Once she finally gets a hang of being a vampire things happen and she is thrust into the place she didn't want to go back to Seattle where she is in training for what we are not sure of yet . Some people want her dead and the others want her to become the queen. She really doesn't know who to trust but with Jarod and Rainer's help she might might make it to take over for the queen Alimilla who's family name has been tainted . Valainah is the twin for this queen and they hope they can get her in power.  Now she must lead an army to fight queen Alimilla . Will they be able to come out of this alive. 

  These characters are wild and so much fun to read . Valainah is a tough as nails young woman . She had the world at her feet she had her life mapped out until the day she met her boyfriend and they moved to Seattle.  She was a typical young woman with dreams and ambitions. Wise cracking and always pushing the boundaries with the people in power. Jarod is her friend and maker , a fun loving vampire who likes to crack a joke at the wrong time , almost like a father figure in her life. When someone hurts Vee he is the first one to get to her, He is her confidant and honestly her best friend. Rainer well he is kind of a geek lack of a better word . He is always there tsking and shaking his head at Vee . They may feel like they are being driven crazy by Vee , they are her fiercest protectors and family . We also get to know some of the other characters that round out the cast . There are a lot of characters that we meet through out the book . Like Emarosa who trains Vee and well kind of it seems a grudge against her . Each character is well written and you really start to like them and cheer for them.

  This is one of those books that can really surprise you . You think it is going to be a brooding dark vampire story. Turns out to be a laugh out loud story that you can get lost in. The main characters fight like they are family but they really do care for each other . You can't help but care for them and laugh at them. This is the first book I have read from this author and I really want to dive into book two in the series to see what happens to everyone. Yes this book leaves you on a cliff hanger but the good thing the second book is out all ready . This could be a fun read for you Halloween week reading list check it out.
