  Good afternoon my peeps , yes I am back with book two for Novels for Reader Round up. This afternoon I have for you a mystery/ thriller  KILLER INSTINCT  A Neverly Moore book one by Michelle Cochis

 Two years ago my life came to a complete standstill. 

As the world around me kept going, I fell through the proverbial rabbit hole. t took a lot of fight to climb back into the living again, but now something is after me. There are a few things I'm sure of, it's deadlier than I ever imagined and hellbent on, not only destroying my world but also ending my life.

 

                       MY REVIEW 

 Neverly has been fighting for the past two years to get back her life . She was a police officer with the Ontario police service when she witnessed a gruesome murder. Since then she has been having feelings of being watched. When the bodies start to pile up around her she has to ask her ex partner for help to figure out what is going on. Before they both end up dead. 

 Neverly is a strong woman who has had a bad last two years, she is a fighter and wants to figure out who is following her and whoever is killing people that she knows . She does have a bit of a stubborn streak and she likes to push people away. Dex is her hot ex partner who has and on and off relationship with her. He kind of comes off as cocky but underneath he has a heart of gold that will do whatever it takes to help Neverly out and figure out what is going on. Flynn is well he is a loner who has a way with people, he is one of those people that you like him but you can't really trust him .  Each character has flaws that make them more relatable and makes you want to cheer for them and keep them safe. 

   This is one of those books that is a good mixture of a mystery and paranormal thrown in a thrill. The characters are well written and complex. This is the first book from this author that I have read from her . I liked how the story flowed well and there was some good twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat for most of the time . There are some very hot scenes through out the book . I like that this is a Canadian author and she used landmarks and towns that are recognizable to me . I can' t wait to dive into boo two and see where she takes us . Check it out I read it in an afternoon .

   Good morning my peeps, I hope your week went well . Woohoo it is Friday and a good weekend to find some new books . Today is the first novel of reader round up . We have a sci fi book for you from one of my favorite authors. WAYFARER AV494 by Matthew S Cox.

                        MY REVIEW

 Kerys Lore is on the adventure of her life, she is on her way to an alien ruin on a distant planet. This could make her career finding this ruin  When they land on the planet and start hunting around the ruin. Things go down hill fast when she sees her ex there and after finding a profound discovery on her first day. Things start to go down hill and now she is fighting for her life where people are going crazy and dying and a sinister ex stalking her around the dome. Will she survive what is happening and get home safely. 

    Oh my gosh the cast of characters in this book are so well written. Kerys is one of those characters that is strong and honestly has an ax to grind with the company that she use to work for. She is a fighter and when push comes to shove she will fight who or what ever comes at her.  But there are moments where Kerys comes off whiny and you kind of want to shake her. Will is her ex and a botanist that is already working on the far away planet. He is well what can you say about a stalker . Not much but he just gives off such a creep factor and when you really get to know him and watch him with the others, you really just want to punch him.  We get to meet a varied members of the group each of them has an attitude that will either get them killed or survive. Each character is well crafted and complex. You will love to hate some of them and cheer for the others . 

   This is one of those books that gives you all the feels. It seems like it is a cross between Aliens and Martian . The characters are well written and complex and you want them to come out alright . The author has constructed a well crafted story full of intrigue, conspiracy and lots of action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There are moments that you feel that you are right in the middle of the action and there are a few places where you will be reading and then get a scare. This is a great book for those who love sci fi and horror .So if you want a good book to get lost in for a weekend check it out .It won't disappoint you .

 Author Lily Holland is a Mystery and Romance writer. You can find her at her desk or with her mother Carol, or sister Taylor. Lily lives a nice, quite life with her familiar, Walter the raccoon. That is until her sister Taylor makes her go to the upcoming Witches Council Meeting.

Lily’s world is turned upside down when her high school sweetheart, Officer Tripp Townsend, is a guest speaker at the council meeting. With news that St. Paul Cemetery has been vandalized, matters take a turn for the worst when they discover it’s only happening to the deceased of witch bloodlines.

Carol, along with her daughters Taylor and Lily, try to solve the mystery as to why this is happening. Lily has to find a way to let the past go and make sure that there could be a future with Tripp. But with someone trying to exhume the dead, that task may be a difficult endeavor.

  

                           MY REVIEW

  Lily is a mystery / romance author who is also a strong witch. When her mother and sister push her to go to the witches council meeting . Things happen that turns her world upside down. When her child hood sweetheart comes in looking so good in his police uniform. Informing everyone that some thing hinky is going on in the cemetery .  They have a mystery to solve and some hearts to mend while they are working out what is going on.  Also Tripp and Lily need to figure out what their relationship is and Lily has to figure out her new powers as they figure out what is going on. 

   Lily is such a fun character , she is so quiet and wants to write her books . Doesn't really want to get involved with witch business. She thinks her sister and mother have more power than she does. She is a little unsure of herself in most things.  Carol and Taylor are strong witches in their own right . they are sweet and fun loving, Tripp well he is sweet and handsome with eyes only for Lily. They have been through so much you really want them together. Each character is well written and you will really like them . 

  This is one of those stories that is a fast read. You can read this one on your lunch hour.  The author takes a fun look at a part of these characters lives, and has them figuring out the mystery and it always happens on Halloween , The story is fun and the author has a fun way of writing that will keep you laughing through out. Check it out if you want a fun fast read

                         MY REVIEW

 When a plane full of Omegas crashes into a savage island. Enrique sends the girls off in pods hoping that they will end up somewhere safe. Everyone but Caja the one that is Enrique's mate . They are off on the run of their lives , trying to keep Caja away from the rogue wolves as she comes into her first heat. Until they find help from three alphas that were his friends before the epidemic that wiped out the humans . In the sanctuary we see Enrique and Caja finally become the mated pair they are . While the alphas find out where the others ended .  They are where they are suppose to be and maybe they can help the others out and in the process help out Enrique's brother also. 

   Enrique was introduced in Winter's Arrow and he wasn't a really nice guy but in this book we get to see a sweeter side of him when he finds his Omega.  He is tall, dark , sexy and oh so Alpha. He has so much on his plate and feels like it is his fault that they crash landed . Caja is sweet but has been abused by her family for her life as an Omega. Even being shipped away to a cruel Alpha. She has learnt how to stay silent and be invisible to keep herself safe. As she realizes she is safe she starts to blossom and really take on her role as the Omega. They are such well written charters that really make each other stronger as they grow closer . 

  This is one of those books that are in a series but is a stand alone also . Each character is well written and complex. The author paints us a brutal picture that is Exile Island . We get a sense of foreboding and an eerie sense of evil on the island . There are a lot of romantic times but they are written well. I truly enjoyed this book and loved the characters and the way they are like a family, So if you want a fun book to read for your spring reading list , check it out.
