GOOD MORNING HAPPY TUESDAY

Good morning my peeps, I hope your week is going well and you are finding all your fall books . Today I have for you LACE LAMENTS book 32 in the Haven Hollow series by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain

                         BOOK BLURB

 Something is up with Lorcan.

And I’m fairly sure I’m not just imagining things—he’s been distracted, working later than usual, appears exhausted, and was that vanilla perfume I smelled on him?

Regardless of what’s going on with the undead nuisance, I’ve got my own problems to deal with.

Namely, I’ve been pinpointed as the main suspect in a murder!

I know—as if I have the time or the interest to kill someone.

Ridiculous

Anyway, before this situation gets any worse, I need to prove my innocence, stat.

Just how am I going to do that? Stick around and find out…

                    MY REVIEW
Welcome back to Haven Hollow, Wanda is not having a good week . First she is working on a wedding night set for a young werewolf who really doesn't seem to want to get married. Then Lorcan is acting really weird even for him. When Wanda becomes a suspect in a murder she will have to go it alone to find out who the actual murderer is. Will she be able to prove her innocence an better yet will she find out what Lorcan is up to.
This is a fun read, it is nice to see Wanda actually shaken and worried.  She is always so put together and kind of cocky when it comes to anything witchy. She is still sure of herself but you do get to see that facade crack just a little and she does admit to herself that she could be in big trouble. She becomes more vulnerable in this story. Lorcan well he is being run ragged trying to keep Wanda safe. He seems more ravaged this time around he doesn't seem to be the suave debonair man that he usually is. It is nice to see them with more feeling and showing that they are more then just the haughty coven head and the suave vampire.
Ok this was such a fun read, the authors really kind of put everyone through the wringer .  The characters are like old friends and you really want them to be ok while they are going through what ever the authors have in mind. I love this series it is always like coming home when you come back to Haven Hollow. This is a fun book that I really couldn't put down . I laughed so hard through out . So if you want a great fun series check out the Haven Hollow series

HAPPY RELEASE DAY FOR FASHIONABLY FIERCE

Good morning my peeps. hope your weekend was great and you start this week off with a bang . Today I have for you FASHIONABLY FIERCE  book eighteen in the Hot Damn series by Robyn Peterman

                             BOOK BLURB

The twenty-first century is quite the horrifying eye-opener for a Vampyre warrior whose been in a magical coma for a thousand years.

The Vampyre in question would be me. I’m so damned confused by the modern world, and getting electrocuted for being misogynistic — whatever that means — is getting old.

It’s insanity. Apparently, there’s a species called Karens running in the wild. The Tube of You and the Book of the Faces are alarming. From what I understand, the Karens gather there. I much prefer homing pigeons to the small rectangular metal box the undead of today seem to favor. Although, I am enamored with the horseless metal chariots.

The good old days of skin peeling and ripping out entrails are over. So be it. I’ll fit in. Getting set aflame sucks.

Plus, there’s a beautiful blonde who’s in my every waking thought. She might not know it yet, but we’re destined to be. Although, every time I cop a feel, I get my nards kneed up into my esophagus. My wooing skills might be a little rusty…

Armed with the magic word, please, and the challenge of using my words instead of my sword, I shall succeed.

I’m fierce.

I’m fabulous.

And I’m in love.

                     MY REVIEW

Astrid and the gang are back and funnier then ever . When a thousand year old vampyre is woken up he is not liking the 21 century. Rhys isn't understanding how the world is working and he is tired of getting  electrocuted because of his not wanting to adapt . But Juliet is also trying to redeem herself after trying to kill Astrid and everyone else. She and Rhys are off on an adventure set out by Mother Nature to find an mystical object.  Together they will work to find the objects and maybe fall in love along the way .

Omg these characters are crazy, Rhys is having such a hard time in the new world, he tries so hard but he is tired of getting electrocuted. He is a sweet guy but still is a warrior and he wants to peel skin to end an argument.   He can be uncouth but that just adds to his charm. Juliet well she was I am going to say a little crazy. She tried to kill Astrid and her family but she is trying to do amends to Astrid but its slow. She may come off as a bad woman but inside she is a hurt little girl that just wants to be loved and to love. When they come together they are a force to be reckoned with,   Martha and Jane are also back and funnier then ever . Mother Nature is hilarious also. I love these characters so much they are well written and complex.

This another one of the authors books that should come with a warning label. Don't drink anything while reading or you could end up choking because of laughing so hard. This is a fun read that had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face a few times . The characters are fun and the story is so out there all you can do is laugh. I mean who would not laugh at a fowl mouthed vampyre who gets set on firer and electrocuted just for opening his mouth. So if you want a good series to read check out the Hot Damned series . Add it to your fall reading list .

FALL IS IN THE AIR

Good morning my peeps, we made it to Friday wooohooooo. It is going to be a reading weekend for me so many good books coming out for the fall . Today I have for you book 5 in the Midlife Mysteries series. GONE FOR GOOD  by Hp Mallory.

                           BOOK BLURB

   London, 1880

PHILIPPA:

When Spencer gets stuck inside the magical Midnight Garden, I will not rest until I can release him.
Unfortunately, Inspector Grant Stirling isn’t thinking along the same lines. Truth be told, I believe he’d happily wipe his hands of the garden and Spencer.
Good thing for Spencer that he isn’t relying on Scotland Yard!
Realizing I am quite over my head in this paranormal matter, I seek the counsel of none other than Mrs. Thorndike, the only person who can handle such a crisis.
And if Mrs. Thorndike can’t help me? Then I’m not certain who can.

GRANT:

It’s true that I have no love for Mr. Spencer. Perhaps that’s why I don’t find myself in much of a panic where he and the Midnight Garden are concerned.
Truth be told, it would be of much benefit to Philippa if she were to wipe her hands clean of the reprobate.
But unfortunately for me, as an inspector of Scotland Yard, my duty is towards all of London’s citizens and Mr. Spencer falls squarely in such category.
So, much though I don’t like the blasted man, I am willing to help, even if that means voyaging into the world of spirits—something I scarce understand.
And something I understand even less? These feelings for Philippa that plague me day and night. Very soon I will have to make a decision—remove myself from her for good, or act on my instincts and make her mine…

                        MY REVIEW
Phillipa and Grant are back at the Midnight Garden. Spencer has disappeared into the garden and no one can find him. Grant seems happy that he is gone but Phillipa feels it is her fault that Spencer is trapped and will do almost anything to get him sprung. To make matters even worse Grant is having a crisis of what he should do about Phillipa does he take himself out of the equation or should he act on his feelings and make her his. Will Phillipa be able to bring back Spencer or will she loose a friend and will Grant understand her power and still want her like he does .

Phillipa, Grant and Spencer are back and well more complex. Spencer is lost in the garden and wondering if he will ever be saved. He is really a central figure in this episode . He is used by the garden and falls for a ghost . He is slowly loosing himself in the fantasy. He is one of those characters that you love to hate . Phillipa and Grant are so well written and I love the complexity of their relationship and what they do mean to each other . Phillipa is very strong willed and has to do the right thing . Grant is a by the books kind of man who has a hard time believing in the spirit world but with Phillipa's help he starts to see what she is made of and what she can do. They compliment each other so well.

This is a fun read that you can read in a weekend. The characters are well written and complex . You will love them and cheer for them . The author has a fun and quirky way of getting her characters together finally. You will have to read the books in order but they are a fast read so if you want a fun book for this fall check out the series .

GOOD MORNING WELCOME TO THURSDAY

Good morning my peeps, hope everything is going well and you guys are getting lots of great books for the fall season. Today I have for you book 5 in the Blood Knights Chronicles . ANGEL UNLEASHED by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom . The book comes out tomorrow.

                             BOOK BLURB

A fine line between vengeance and desire...

A damaged angel and an immortal Blood Knight. The heavens would shudder if they weren’t already, and if anyone up there was watching this play out.

Immortal Blood Knight Rhys de Troyes is watching over London's streets. But the ethereal beauty who just arrived in London captures his interest. Avery Arcadia Quinn has secrets Rhys will have to unravel if he is to protect his territory... and hide his desire for the unusual newcomer.

A grounded angel, Avery seeks to recover the wings stolen from her centuries ago when the Knights were created. She swore vengeance, but her burning connection with Rhys threatens to conquer her anger, her mission... and even her vow to destroy him.
                     MY REVIEW
Avery is on a mission to find what was taken from her and is hunting in London. Blending into the night catches the eye of Rhys who as sworn to keep London safe from the evils of the world. When they meet there is a undeniable attraction but if either of them want to survive the night they both must come to terms of what they are and what they actually do mean to each other. Avery wants back what was taken from her centuries ago and Rhys is bound to keep London safe and his secret with it .
I absolutely adore Rhys and Avery. Rhys is an immortal knight who has been fighting evil for centuries . He is one of those men who has the rugged good looks that could make any woman swoon but is lethal when it comes dealing with the evil that is inhabiting London's underground . Avery is well she looks like an sweet angel but she is deadly with a blade and angry for what was taken from her all those years ago. She is holding on to a secret that could change all the knights lives forever. She may be petite and look like a fragile doll , she will kick your butt and laugh doing it . They are drawn to each other and when they are together the sparks do fly and they chemistry will blow you away. Each of these characters are so well written and complex, you will love them and cheer for them as they try and find their way through what is wanted of them.
I must say that this book in the series is my favorite . I love Rhys and Avery and the heartbreak the author puts them through. There is lots of action and there is also a really good romance that will have you kind of blushing. I truly love this author's writing style she doesn't dumb things down when the characters and the storyline is concerned . She takes us on such an emotional roller coaster ride of emotions through out her books. The Blood Knights is a good series that will have you on the edge of your seat through out and some good romantic times that could have you blushing. So if you want a good series that has vampires, werewolves, angels and maybe a few devils check out this series . I promise you that these books will be a great part of your fall reading list .

                     MY REVIEW
Ella is running from her abusive husband and she finds herself on a stranded on an marsh island in Essex with a weird past . Where she tries to fit in with the locals when a virus breaks out and cursed dreams . Ella needs to get away and keep hiding and stop a virus from getting off the island and save her friends . Will she be able to do it and stay safe.

There are so many great characters in this book . Ella is the main character who is running for her life . She is escaping from an abusive husband and wants to stay hidden. She starts of as a scared woman fighting to stay hidden and really turns into a woman who will fight to keep those around her safe. The people of the town are very interesting group of people and are just trying to survive . We really get to see each character grow as they are fighting to keep the virus contained and to save themselves in the process. Ella really comes out to be a hero to the people and they fight hard to keep each other safe .

This is one of those stories that you will get swept up into the story . The characters are well written and complex each having their own problems along with the wide problem of the virus that is sweeping through the town . You really get swept up and you are on the edge of your seat all the way through . The twists and turns will have you gasping through out the book.  I truly enjoyed this book and read it in a weekend. This is a new author to me and I am going to check out other books from her. So if you like physiological thrillers this is the book for you  a great book for you Halloween reading list .

HAPPY SEPTEMBER

Good day my peeps well we made it to September , where the heck did summer go. I guess it is time to start the fall reading list. Today I have for you book 31 in the Haven Hollow series .SUMMER SOLSTICE by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain.

                          BOOK BLURB

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity…

Or, at least, that’s what Albert Einstein said.

But I’m not sure I believe it because it seems everything in my life has gone to heck, but I have yet to find an opportunity in any of it.

Things are going so bad, in fact, that I’m wondering if I’ve been cursed.

Of course, I don’t really have any enemies, so who in the world would want to curse me? Not only that, but Wanda insists I’m not cursed so maybe this bad luck is just exactly that… bad luck?

Well, one thing I do know is that life would be a whole heck of a lot easier if I didn’t have this constant guilt gnawing away at me regarding my breakup with Marty.

Sure said breakup was eight months ago, but things between us aren’t good—as in, he won’t really speak to me and that’s something that bothers me more than I can say.

And as to Andre, the incredibly handsome and charming British magician who moved to Haven Hollow in order to instruct Finn in magic? Well, I’ve sort of, kind of, put things on hold between the two of us.

Why? Because I can’t stomach the idea that Marty might think I’ve moved on so quickly.

As things in my personal life continue to blow up (not even exaggerating), I start to wonder if whatever is going on is supernaturally motivated…

Meanwhile, I’m trying to talk myself out of the fear that meets me every time I think of starting something romantic with Andre.

Yes, worries and guilt about Marty are part of the reason I’ve been holding back, but the other part?

Well, that’s all on me and my fear that this could turn out to be just another failed relationship in a string of failed relationships...

                        MY REVIEW

Since Poppy broke up with Marty and found out she has feelings for Andre, things haven't been going well for her . She is having nightmares and potions aren't working out for her. Even when it comes to meeting the new neighbour has it draw backs . When it comes to her son things kind of go sideways when a teenager and a mother under a hex collide. What can help Poppy out when at the fall festival she is attacked and held against her will, things come out and we get to see a new supernatural come into play . Will the town of Haven Hollow help Poppy out and will Poppy figure out she had the answer the whole time.

Poppy and the gang are back.  Poppy is having such a bad time of it lately. Ever since Christmas she just hasn't been herself. She has lost her best friend and also found her soul mate with another . The guilt of all that has happened has Poppy not feeling quite right and honestly doubting herself. Honestly there were moments you want to wrap Poppy up in a blanket and other times you kind of want to slap her out of it . You really feel for her while she is stumbling through what is happening . Wanda and the gang are back ready to help defend Poppy against what ever is happening .. They are always stronger when they are all together and fighting for each other.

This is the book I have been waiting for since I read Poppy's Christmas story. I wanted to find out what all happened in the after math. The authors really ramped up the angst in this book. We really get to see the other side of Poppy the one that really isn't sure of herself and feeling guilty over thing she did. The story is a fun read and I love going back to these characters for a fun afternoon read. The characters are like old friends that you can come back to anytime. This must be read in order to understand what is going on and the characters you will fall for. So check out the Haven Hollow series for your fall reading list.
