HELLO MONDAY

Hello Monday, hope your day is better then mine , 5 cups of coffee later and I can finally cope lol  Today we are going to review GRAND PASSION by James Robinson.

                            BOOK BLURB

James Robinson, one of the industry's finest writers (Squadron Supreme, Scarlet Witch, Starman), delivers the surprising, funny, violent, and sexy tale of romance that comics have been missing! James "Mac" McNamara's a cop. Mabel's a crook. They're two wayward souls, fated to fall in love at first sight... even as Mabel swears to kill him if it's the last thing she does. It's harlequin romance meets hard-boiled crime, as only Robinson and sensational artist Tom Feister can deliver!

                         MY REVIEW
Welcome to my other obsession graphic novels and how I love a great story that goes along with the great drawing . Grand Passion is the best of both worlds we have James McNamera who is a cop and then there is Mabel who is a crook. Who knew that they would fall in love even though Mabel says she is going to kill him . Its a romance and a crime novel all rolled up into one
This book has it all romance and gun fire . It is your typical noir piece where the good guy falls for the bad girl in this case  They have plenty of action and a lot of romance . The characters were ok they seemed a little flat some times and one sided . But over I did like them especially Mabel she was one that even though she was a crook she did still want to be with James a tough cop . Who has a gruff exterior but does have a heart of gold .
I did like this book but it just seemed a little bit off . The illustrations are a little bit one sided . The story will keep you interested there is plenty of gunfights and romance to keep you interested until the end . Over all I did like this graphic novel . Will look for more by this author .

HAPPY WEDNESDAY ALL

Welcome to Wednesday all , hope your week is going great . Today we are going to review THE LIST  by Shannon Walters.

                         BOOK BLURB

When a zombie virus sweeps the planet and puts humanity in a chokehold, hope is the only thing keeping Sara alive. Hope that the people who matter most are still alive. Who made it? Who didn't? Can they be saved? Can they save her?

Sara has made a list of her loved ones... what became of them is unknown to her. One by one, she will discover their fates, as she works her way through... THE LIST.

                          MY REVIEW
   this is a 4 1/2 star rating

Finally an apocalypse book from a woman survivor point of view .  Let me introduce you to Sara she has survived the death of her family and is trying to find out who is still alive that she cares about . The list is her way of coping and getting to the people she loves .
This was a nice refreshing switch up to the zombie story . The lead character Sara is a woman who is overcoming everything . What would you do if you lost everything including your family . Would you fight or would you end it all . Sara has that decision to make, you see her as a strong character that is basically at her wits end but she is stronger then she thinks she is. You see her go through hell with her family and then trying to get to the people on her list . She meets groups of people as she travels . All trying to survive and doing what they can to stay safe.  She really grows through out the book and becomes more self reliant and stronger .
The author takes us on a rollercoaster ride with this book . In some ways it is very relatable what the main character is going through. You can actually picture yourself going through everything Sara is going through. You want to hug her and tell her everything will be alright but then you start cheering for her as she becomes a kick ass survivor . You want to pray that all the people on her list is alive just so they can bring a bit of happiness to Sara.
This was a fast read for me I started in the evening and finished the next day . I just couldn't put it down . I wanted to see if Sara and goose would get to where they are going. The only draw back I had was that the ending was abrupt, I wanted to know if she got to where they were going and if her friend would survive . That is the reason I took off half a star in my rating . Over all the book was fantastic and I can't wait to read more from this author . So if you want a apocalypse book with a strong female lead  check out THE LIST by Shannon walters

Good Monday all

Good Monday all , hope you are ready for a fabulous week ahead . Today we are going to review SINS OF THE HEART  by Eve Silver .

                        BOOK BLURB

Library Journal raves the Sins Series is "...dark, seductive, and sexy as sin." For readers who love paranormal romance and urban fantasy.

Dagan Krayl, the Underworld's most powerful soul reaper, is the demigod son of the evil god Sutekh. He's on a mission to find his murdered brother's remains and resurrect him, but resurrection means that the secrets carried into death would be released and, with them, a war that could end gods and mankind alike.

Roxy Tam is searching for the same thing, but for completely different reasons. She means to make certain that the remains don’t fall into Sutekh’s hands, and that the soul reapers do not reanimate their fallen comrade. As a Daughter of Aset, Roxy is tasked with the protection of the human race, and if that means thwarting an all powerful soul reaper and making certain his dead brother stays dead, so be it. But when Roxy sees Dagan face-to-face, she realizes that she has met him once before—a meeting that changed her life forever.

Neither Dagan nor Roxy expects to join forces for the sake of mankind. Or to have their loyalties tested as they struggle against treachery, betrayal and the potent desire that threatens to consume them both.

                         MY REVIEW

This is the first book I have read by this author, I will say that it was an enjoyable book but had a slow start . It felt like it took a long time for the story to really get going . But once it got going it was a really good read .  Let me introduce you to Roxy and Dagan .
Lets head into the Soul Reaper realm , Dagan an underworld soul reaper a very strong soul reaper .  He is on a quest to find his murdered brothers bones to bring him back to life . Roxy is on the same mission but for a different reason . She is out to stop Dagan from bringing his brother back to life . When they meet there is a spark and memories that they have met before . But will they survive against all that is thrown in front of them All the treachery. betrayal and the desire that is burning between them  to finish the quest .
The characters are well developed and well written . Dagan is oh so hot and sexy as he is dark and frightening. I wouldn't know what to do if I was in the same room with him, either throw him on the bed or run for my life . Roxy is one tough cookie, she is ass kicking woman who is also battling her own demons. She is tough to the very bone of her being and is true to herself . When they are together you can just feel the heat coming off of them and you want them to get together in some way or any way .
The book takes you on such an adventure ride . I did have a little bit of an issue on how long it took them to reconnect , it just seemed so very slow at the beginning . But don't give up on it when they finally reconnect the book just takes off and you are in for one helluva ride . Over all the book was really good and once I got into it I couldn't put it down .  I will be checking out other books by the author . This would be a good book for a rainy day of reading . Check it out

                      MY REVIEW

I have been a fan of the Flash for a long time now and I was excited to get my hands on this set In Rogues Reloaded , the rogues are part time allies or enemies which ever  time of day it is. This time they are in the need of help from the Flash when they steal from the wrong people .  He must help them before its too late .
The author really goes in depth on the Barry and Iris story line . We get to see more of them and their interactions . Along with the story of Wally and Barry and Wally's father . The stories are well written and I love the interaction with the character. You get more of an feeling for Barry and the gang . There are so many great characters to mention in this volume . We have an appearance of captain boomerang from the suicide squad helping out Wally . They are all well written and developed . k
The art work is rich and full of colour and beautifully done . The author does the rebirth justice . As he takes us on a roller coaster ride . This is a must add to anyone who loves the D.C universe and love the Flash . I am glad I got to read this one its is a definite add to my D.C collection .                      MY REVIEW

This is the second book in the WOLF ENFORCERS series and all I can say if you thought the first book was good this one will knock your socks off .  This is Sam's book and I was so excited to know that he was getting his book . His story was such an intense book . If you remember right Sam almost went wild in book one after the woman he wanted as his own mated with his brother . Now he is back and well mostly healed from what happened but its there on the edge . Now he is being driven wild but in a different way . Enter Glenna a newly bitten wolf that needs his protection and most of all she needs him . Will they survive all the people after them and will they survive the mating heat that is consuming them .
Blood Enforcer is a sitting on the edge of your seat fun. The characters are well developed and complex . Especially Sam , he has been put through the ringer and you can see him fighting his own demons as he starts to open himself up to what Glenna can offer him . One min you want to hug Sam and tell him everything will be ok and the next min you want to slap him upside the head cause he is frustrating you to no end . He is so self destructive sometimes . But I will say ladies  he does redeem himself and becomes the one alpha man that we all love and swoon over, I instantly loved Sam
Glenna on the other hand it took me just a little bit to get to like her . She just seemed so ummm how can I put this well lets say whipped . When she was with Sam  at the beginning she was being so self conscience about even eating . I know she was traumatized her whole life but I kind of wanted to just slap her, but she grew on me as I read . She became a very strong woman and I really started liking her . Then I wanted to slap her again when she was well lets just saw she was being a flirt not going to go into more details but you would want to slap her too :)  The she went back to me loving her and that is all that counts . That is the sign of a great character when she evokes that much reaction from me .
This author is always a one click for me . I have fallen in love with all her characters and she takes us on such great adventures .  I read this book in an evening . I just couldn't put it down . The stories are such a great read . There is always great romance and there is always intrigue and mystery to go along with it. You will get sucked into the story and you won't want it to end . They will steal your heart and you will love every second of it . So if you want a great read check out the Wold Enforcer series . Add them to your summer reading list . YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED
