MY REVIEW
This is Tanya's debut novel and I was honored with reading this book before anyone else. I was doing a happy dance around the living room. When I found out this book was about a curvy girl not one but two hot sexy men that want her.
Miranda has given up on love, men don't want a woman who isn't all skin and bones. She is a lush curvy girl . She is surprised when two hot men move in next door. They couldn't keep their eyes off the curvy girl next door. They both love fuller figured women and they shared. But Miranda can't get over her past to let these two men love her, the way she needs to be treated .
HURRAH FOR THE CURVY GIRL. We need love too. Tanya's debut novel is hot , her characters are well written and real. Being a curvy girl myself have found it hard to be a sexy woman. Men for some reason think that a bag of bones is the ideal of sexy. So us bigger girls take a back seat . Just like Miranda. Trust me I had every insecurity that Miranda had in the book. But just like in the book it takes the one special or in Miranda's case two special men to make her bloom into the hot sexy woman she is. Jack and Chase omg they are hot and sexy and so in love with Miranda , making this girl happy cause I had a huge crush on both of them as I was reading. Especially cause they were vets and loved, loving Miranda.
So when I was asked to read a debut novel , I will tell you I was a bit nervous. But as I started to read  I was taken away. Tanya's characters are so real and the story line is so well written . You feel like you really get to know all of these people. They are so great together. The way the author writes the pain of past hurts and trying to get over those pains. Is so revelent in today's society. She makes us think and love each character as if we were living it . The way the Tanya writes is so raw and real.
If this is her debut novel I can't wait to read the other books. If you want a great summer read that will leave you with a smile on your face and cheering for the curvy girl in all of us. Then this is the book for you . Check it out this is going to be a great late summer read .

MY REVIEW
Well all I can say is that Cory has hit it out of the park again. She is the reason for the bags under my eyes and the intravenous coffee drip I have attached to my veins right now. Yes I know it is my own fault actually. I should not of started this book last night, but I as soon as I saw it say that it was live . Well my one click finger was itching, so I bought. The downloaded on to kindle, read the first page then the second page . Next thing I know hubby was taking away my popcorn bowl and kissing me good night. To which I responded I will be there soon , after one more chapter , well 4 chapters later and realizing I was on chapter 17. I decided to head to bed. Just finished the book.
Let me introduce you to Latch and Haven. Latch is for the lack of a better word a extremely sexy man whore , who is also a very rich man. But he is only 25, when he sees Haven at a party he is instantly drawn to the 37 year old . With her sexy librarian look but is broken beyond repair from a past relationship. The way they meet is right out of a romance novel, as he just promises her a taste. No names change but after she passes out , Latch being the gentleman he is takes her home . Then their relationship starts . The first few times well lack of a better word were awkward. Haven tries to push him away but he doesn't. I now have a new word for a blow job. puff chore anyone. I giggled when I read that . As their relationship grows, their pasts seem to come back and haunt them and Latch's dark secret is coming to light .
Cory takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The intensity of Latch an Haven's characters just hit you in the gut. Latch is larger then life and Haven may seem naïve but she comes out of her shell and really blossoms with Latch. Cory can take a character from one extreme to the other and does it in such a way it will rip your guts out. There is one scene at the gala that you will want to kill Latch .   Cory builds her characters up and lets them fall to the depths of hell only to be redeemed and you fall in love with the new and improved character. I love her female characters as they are older and seem to be broken at first then you see them grow and become the woman that they should be . You feel like she is writing just for you.. We all can pick out something from each of her characters . If it is the best friend that is there to pick you up, eat junk food with you and then turn around and kick the bastards ass that hurt you . To the guy friend that would beat the crap out of you to teach you not to treat women the way you did.
Trust me ladies . you will fall in love and then get your heart ripped out, Then fall in love again.. This is one of those books that will leave wanting more. I laughed, I wanted to slap a few characters upside the head and I cried and I mean I had an ugly cry in a couple of areas. The book is flawlessly written  and Cory writes with such love you can't help but to fall in love. There is a lot of sex in this book and I do mean a lot of sex. but there is also a romance and a love story. You will be wrapped up in a whirlwind of emotion .love and sex. You will want to find a very quiet place, grab your favorite drink, snack and comfy blanket . Because once you start reading you will not stop until you are done. Your kindle might have a melt down as you read but it is so worth it. This book should be on the top of  your TBR LIST. I can't wait till Cory's next book . She is becoming one of my favorite authors . Check her out.

Ravenswood: Price's Freedom
Paranormal Romance Short Story

The town of Ravenswood isn't as it appears to be. It's one of the Devil's playgrounds. A place where the lines between the living and the dead blur. Where demons walk freely and where those who dare to enter are often never seen in the land of the living again. Laura Winfield--a new recruit for Team Light--has been sent by her bosses to gather information on the town and on a certain demon.

Benjamin Price can't seem to stay away from the town's newest arrival. He knows he should push Laura away, get her to leave Ravenswood for her own safety, yet he can't seem to let her go. She's getting in the way of his duties--collecting the souls of the promised for evil and assuring Ravenswood scales stay tipped to the side of Dark. Worse yet, she's making him second-guess what side he should be playing for and that could be downright deadly--to them both. Are they willing to pay any price for his freedom

MY REVIEW
This novella is a very fast read. The town of Ravenwood is not all what it is cracked up to be. It is the devil's playground and the perfect battle ground for good and evil.
Benjamin Price fights for the dark but can't stay away from Laura from the light. She is part angel and he is a shifter and they are meant be together as they reconnect There seems to be only one way to  get back Benjamin's soul is to claim him and let him claim her. Will they make it out alive and will Ravenwood ever be rid of all the evil going on
This is the first book I have actually read from Mandy Roth . I really enjoyed reading this novella. Even though it was only 37 pages long it was a good read with a twist. Her characters are well written and you see the fight between the good and evil . You also see the war being raged between the two main characters. They want each other even though one is good and the other is evil. It also has the pretense of the good girl and the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks.
I hope that the author turns this into a series and make the books longer. This is a great YA book . I am thinking this would make an awesome series for teens. So if you have a teen that wants to have a good fast read check it out . I think they will like it

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING EVERY ONE

Wow this has been a busy weekend for me. But I am here today and ready to review. This is a great YA story. ANNA by Meghan Riley

BOOK BLURB
To the outside world, Anna appears to be an ordinary high school senior. But readers will quickly learn that she is anything but in Meghan Riley’s fantastical debut novel, Anna. This fast-paced tale full of supernatural experiences, romance, and half-answered truths expertly blends science fiction with young adult appeal. Anna has a lot of questions. Should she pursue her desire to leave home for college and live out her dream of becoming a physicist? Or should she stay home and help care for her family, which has struggled ever since her father died in Afghanistan? Is her crush, Steve, really interested in her, or is he only using the highly intelligent Anna to try and boost his grades in school? These questions, plus the ordinary trials and tribulations of high school, distract Anna from noticing some very…strange things that are beginning to happen to her. For as long as Anna can remember, she has had a haphazard smattering of freckles on her arm. But these freckles are starting to change, and cause a series of unnerving hallucinations and odd side effects that only Anna seems to notice. When a strange shadow man starts to haunt her nights, she decides to go on a hunt for the truth to discover, once and for all, what is happening to her. The hallucinations continue growing stronger, however, and each new visit by the shadow man appears to become more and more threatening. Eventually, Anna realizes that she can no longer hide from her friends and family what is happening to her. But as she shares her secret with those closest to her, Anna never imagines that her very life, and the lives of those she loves, will be put in jeopardy. Progressing toward the novel’s stunning conclusion, audiences will be left breathless as the ultimate question reveals itself: who—or what—is Anna?

MY REVIEW
Anna is a well written YA novel. Anna isn't your typical high school senior The first clue that you get the Anna isn't average, is the cluster of freckles on her arm that look like a cluster of stars. Anne is living the normal teen age life, trying to get through senior year, crushing on the most popular boy in school. You know all the teen age stuff that goes on. Her brothers annoying her and the popular cliché giving her hassle . But who knew her life was going to change forever. When the poor girl starts to hallucinate and sees the shadow man. Who is this shadow man and who is Jared and what is up with him Also does Steven really like her. You try and figure out who or what Anna actually is .
Meghan takes us on a journey through the life of a typical well not so typical teenager with a gift. Her characters are well written and life like. You feel like you are part of the family. Then she takes a twist and you want to find out who the man in the corner is that is watching over Anna  and is she really hallucinating or is it real. You honestly don't really know who is actually a good guy and who is the bad guy.The characters are that well written. One minute you are loving Steve, thinking that he is such a sweet guy or is he jus using her. You really kind a want to smack him up the head a few times in the book. That makes a great character if you can love him one moment and then want to smack him upside the head in the next breathe,
The author has the angst of teenagers down pat, the flow of the book was great. It kept me turning pages all night, Even though it was a YA book to me I really liked it. It has romance, mystery and some sci fi aspects to it. It will keep your teens reading all night long. When they are trying to figure it all out. The author will keep you wanting more. So if you have a teen looking for something to read or if you just want a book to read while out relaxing by the pool , Check it out ,

Good Friday everyone, hope you all had a great week. I am doing something new on Friday's.  There are so many book out there and so I am going to give the reins to a fellow reviewer on Friday . Their review will be posted on Friday . First up is Karen Mandeville-Steer, She has reviewed BREATHLESS FOR HIM by Sofia Tate

BOOK BLURB

For fans of New York Times bestselling authors Samantha Young, Sylvia Day, and E. L. James comes the stunning, erotically charged story about a woman who's not looking for love and the tempting billionaire who left her breathless . . .
As a gifted opera singer, Allegra Orsini's only obsession is music-until she meets him. A strikingly handsome and powerful man with a life splashed across the tabloids, Davison Cabot Berkeley isn't what she expected. He's unlike the other wealthy patrons who dine at Le Bistro. Davison sees more than just a coat-check girl working her way through grad school. And from the moment he looks at her, those deep green eyes ignite a fire inside Allegra she's never felt before.

She craves Davison's touch-his possession-endlessly. Even though every fiber of her being is telling her to stay away, that it's best for both of them, she can't. As his passion consumes her, Allegra can no longer deny Davison's hold on her. He'll never let her go. But as much as she wants him, Allegra can't surrender to his love-not until she faces a painful secret from her past that could destroy them both . . .

KAREN'S REVIEW

It’s been a little over a week since I’ve read this debut novel and I cannot stop recommending it. I went in not having a clue what this story was about other than the blurb and was trying not to be put off by the Sylvia Day comparison (just not a fan – don’t hate me – but I can appreciate that others are.

Thinking I was in for just a romantic, steamy ride – I was pleasantly surprised when the author weaved in a tale of suspense and action.  Readers, I want you to meet Davison – and when you think Davison, think Henry Cavill … alright – now come back to me.

Davison is the perfect Alpha – he’s driven, he’s focused, he’s not about to go down without a fight but he’s not possessive with a side of pyscho – those kinda Alpha’s don’t rate very well with me. He’s a perfect fit for the heroine Allegra Orsini. She’s talented, she’s a different class to him but certainly his equal and she’s fiercely loyal to our man Davison.
The sex scenes will have you hot under the collar and pining for more. Davison actually now ranks in my top three book boyfriends – but don’t worry – I’ll happily share J

MORTAL RECALL

For Sam Ryan, life began at age fourteen. She has no memory of her parents or her childhood. In a decade of service with the State Police, Sam has exhausted the resources of the force searching for clues to her identity. But all mention of her family seems to have been deliberately wiped off the record. Everything changes the night Sam’s missing partner resurfaces as a vampire . . . and forces her to kill him in self-defense. Now Sam is charged with murder. Suspended from the force, and with no one left to trust, Sam accepts some unexpected help from Gabriel Stern, a shapeshifter who conceals startling secrets.

While investigating the circumstances surrounding her partner’s strange behavior, Sam discovers that Garbriel’s been involved with a dangerous organization that’s planning a war on the human race. More immediate, someone is guarding the truth about Sam’s past—someone who’d rather see her dead than risk her knowing too much. To stay alive, Sam must unravel the threads of her past—and find out not only who she is but what she is.

 MY REVIEW
This book had me hooked from the very first chapter. This is the first book in the Spook Squad series.  There is so much going on in this action packed book. You are thrown into the action from the very first page. Sam is on the hunt to find her partner and when she finds him , she is thrown into a world of vampires and werewolves and two different sides wanting her. While she is investigating her partner she meets Gabriel who ends up trying to figure out who and what she is. Cause there are things that Sam can do is see things normal people can't and do things that normal people can't do. He works for a very dangerous organization , that is trying to stop the war and save the humans. But there is more some one is holding all the secrets to Sam's past and she needs to unravel the past to help save her in the present.
This action filled book is set in the future where vampires can walk in the sun and there is a impending war that is going to take place. You get action from page one. You as swept away trying to figure out who are the good guys and who are the bad guys . It took me awhile to figure out some of the characters allegiances . You think they are a bad guy but turn out to be a good guy. It was awesome to try and figure it out. You also try and figure out who or what Sam actually is , cause she is more then human but not vampire or werewolf . Also you want to know why she is really important to both sides of the war. Everyone wants her but she doesn't know why. You really get invested in these characters. You want Sam and Gabriel to be together, There is some sexual tension there, I wish they could of done more but I guess running for your life doesn't bode well for sexy time . Don't get me wrong, I am all for romance and being swept off your feet. But, when you are constantly getting blown up and shot at . Sex is usually the farthest thing from your mind. I do hope that they do get to get busy as the series goes along cause Sam and Gabriel and hot together .  There are some great secondary characters in the book as well. At one point you are thinking is that  the real person or is it a clone . I was like is this the real person or the clone . It was great . All the characters are written with such complexity and detail , you could think of them as your friends.
I just wish that it could of been a little longer, it was a very fast read for me. Before you ask, yes I did get a book hang over from reading.  Nothing that 3 cups of coffee couldn't cure. The twists and turns had me reading well past my bedtime. Kerri Arthur can sure write the action and adventure book. She just transports you away to a different place and time and sucks you in for the long haul. You laugh, shed a tear or two and get angry at your e reader. Those are the best book in my opinion.
So if you want a book that will keep you reading well past your bed time  and give you a book hang over . This is the book for you . So get your reading snack and your favorite beverage. Find a quiet, comfortable spot and start reading . I promise you won't be disappointed . A great summer read for the hammock of those long lazy days . Can't wait for the rest of the trilogy

welcome to our weekly installment of my favorite new series

Good Weds everyone . Its HUMP DAY and I am back to my regular posting. My goodness I have been so busy . Well today is an installment of the NIGHT SHADES CASES by Patti Larsen. We are up to episode five ECORCIZED

BOOK BLURB

When an exorcism goes horribly wrong, it's up to Gerri, Kinsey and Ray to find out who murdered Father Harry, and what the strange symbol left behind at his death really means...

Welcome to The Nightshade Case, a series of twenty-one murder mysteries. Please note: this episodic series is based on the television show model, with screenwriting notations and shorter formats. There will be a complete mystery each release, with cliffhangers only occurring in the full season story line.

MY REVIEW
Well we are now up to episode five in my favorite summer serial, This new case has Gerri and the girls on the hunt for a murderer of a priest. Who was murdered during of all thing an exorcism, This is one of the darker episodes. It deals with child molestation and pedophilia in the church. This one episode might not be a good read to a sensitive reader. Just putting that out there cause this episode is actually quite gut wrenching. Between what is happenin with the children and the secrets between the girls, There is quite a bit of violence in this episode, but I think that it wasn't over the top, The episode needed to be told that way . You also see the way the main characters feel and act as they work through this case I say this is one of the more difficult cases that they will work on .
The tension between the girls is so thick. All of them are keeping a secret from each other. There are some big revelations that go on in this episode. I am not going to tell you , but holy moly it just blew me away. I never saw that one coming , it was such a shock . The girls are getting more and more into the weird and they are trying to come to terms with it. The way Patti is writing these characters. You find out more and more with each new episode. They are getting more and more complex with each new episode. Trust me I still want to wrap Kinsey up in bubble wrap and put her on a shelf, cause she seems so fragile but she is really surprising me . I am thinking she might come out a fighter and become one of my favorite characters.
The stories are getting better and better with each new episode. Patti is taking us to darker and darker areas . The episodes are just flowing like my favorite tv show . Which I am now reading like I am watching a tv show. Thanks Patti, for that  YOU ROCK GIRL.
So don't forget to pick up this weeks episode of the NIGHTSHADE CASES . Trust me you will not be disappointed with this series, start at book one and just keep reading .

BOOK BLURB
"Alfie Black has everything he needs to pass scrutiny as a rock star. He’s a drop dead gorgeous specimen of a man. Rough around the edges and still flawless to look at. Alfie is a jaw dropping, pantie melting, tattooed bad boy. Add tall and athletically toned with a fabulous face, eyes and smile and it’s easy to see he’d be going places. Ticking most of the boxes required as the lead singer in a band, the last part of the equation many not have mattered much. However, Alfie is an incredibly, talented singer and musician. Women want Alfie. Men want to be Alfie.
So gifted , Alfie is given opportunities to progress both as an artiste, with his band Crakt Soundzz, but also share to his passion and pass his knowledge on to others at music college. Alfie’s journey in life should be going in one direction, but his sole focus is on taking care of his responsibilities.
Circumstances in the background dictate what he needs. And what he is willing to accept. This is something he isn’t willing to compromise on. Focused and determined, the last thing Alfie needs is a distraction. What Alfie wants and what is happening in his life are poles apart, but he is determined to keep going no matter what. For now, it he thinks it’s enough. That is, until he meets Lily, the English girl who arrives at college to study music in Miami.
Lily is Alfie’s equal in many ways, musically gifted, stunning and in a different league to any girl Alfie has ever known. She is focused and driven. Single minded about her one passion in life. Music. The only thing Lily has ever wanted in life is to play and play well.
When Lily’s journey crosses Alfie’s life path, what ensues for the both of them is a complex ride of emotions and feelings. Neither of them, despite all of their combined attributes are equipped to deal with. Alfie is emotionally locked down, both from past experiences and his current situation. Lily is sexually naive and inexperienced. When their world’s collide there are far reaching consequences for the both of them, which neither expected. How can Alfie and Lily be together? Alfie shares his thoughts, feelings and emotional conflict in his story."

MY REVIEW
This story is Alfie's point of view. It is great reading a book from the main male character. It seems like it is always the female point of view . So this was a refreshing change of pace. The story revolves around Alfie and Lily.
Alfie has it all the looks and the talent to take him places in the music world. He is working hard with his band, going to music school, Every woman wants to be with him and every man wants to become him. He is a very strong willed guy, who has a single mind on music. Enters Lily girl from England, who has come to Miami to study music. Lily is driven with music just like Alfie. There is one thing in her life that she has wanted to do is play and play well
When they come together there are sparks but there are also problems in both their pasts and when they collide there are far reaching effects for everyone .
the author does a very good job on writing from Alfie's point of view. She takes us through all the emotions and questions that one man has. She also doesn't set the whole story around the two mani characters. There author brings in various relationships around the characters . Which to me adds to the whole concept . I have read books where it is just based on the main couple. The other characters are just window dressing , Not having much to do. But not with KL 's books all the characters are a part of the story .  The relationships make the book seem more real and adds to the sexual chemistry to the couple also. Love the way that music is an big part of this book, there are also some very hot smoking scenes and I loved them all.
This is book is a blend of love, romance, music and self exploration. That will take you on a very emotional rollercoaster ride. It is full of angst, raw emotion and love . Which will make you laugh, cry and actually scream at your kindle. You will fall in love with both Lily and Alfie . You want to hug Alfie well ok you will want to throw Alfie on the bed and have your way with him but ok I digress. This is a long book but once you get started you wont want to put it down . So get comfy, grab you favorite spot and your favorite snack. Then settle down to read. Trust me you will have a book hang over after you have finished the book. Great read anytime

GOOD MONDAY MORNING

Good Monday morning all. Today I have the honor of doing a interview and review for a great new author. Victoria Zak. Her debut novel HIGHLAND BURN has gone live today . So here we go.

Good morning Victoria  glad you could make it

Tell us a little about yourself.
Victoria: I’m a mom of two beautiful children, a happily married wife, and a writer of romance.

This is your first book, tell us a bit about it.
Victoria: It’s a Scottish Historical Paranormal Romance. Here’s the book blurb.
Will Love’s Flame Quench the Dragon’s Fire? …
The past never stays in the past, it rears its ugly head eventually. James the Black Douglas knows this all too well. With a past that has left him vengeful and his dragon blood thirsty, his reputation as a ruthless warrior haunts his enemies in their sleep. As his allegiance stands with Robert Bruce, the King of Scotland, he must now repay a debt to the king and agrees to marry his daughter, Abigale Bruce. The problem is he doesn’t want a wife. When flames start to burn out of control between him and the auburn-haired lass, he must decide to either kindle the flames of passion or shelter her from the truth and set her free.
It’s What Shines in the Dark That Brings Forth Your True Light…
Determined to keep his daughter safe and out of the hands of the English, Robert hides Abigale behind the safe walls of a nunnery. After eight long years of living her life in seclusion, Abigale is finally set free. But her new found freedom comes to an abrupt halt when she learns of her betrothal to the infamous Bogeyman – James The Black Douglas. She soon finds herself falling in love with the uncontainable and haunted man. Is her love enough to soften his hardened heart?

What makes your book different from the other books in the genre?
Victoria: I have two different worlds blending together. My Dragonkine warriors have a world of their own, yet it has been taken away from them. They are now left to live an immortal life among humans in 14 century Scotland.
Do you have any writing rituals when you write?
Victoria: I listen to Celtic music when I write. The music draws me into my make believe world.
Are you ready for some rapid fire questions now?

BOOK BLURB

MY REVIEW
I was honored to be one of the first people to read this wonderful book. Being a part of the group that Victoria trusted to read for her. I was so happy that I did . It is set in Scottish highlands . With a beautiful young woman, her horse a man she doesn't yet know but is betrothed to and a dark secret that will change their lives for ever. The Black Douglas or as everyone likes to call him the Bogeyman. Is one hot, sexy highlander who is also a dragon shifter. He and his clan have kept Scotland safe. The one thing he doesn't want is a wife. How would he explain his alter to her . But along comes Abigale who steals his heart even though he is trying so hard not to let her in. Abigale is such a force to be reckoned with. She comes into his life and changes it forever.
I can't believe that this is Victoria's first novel, she writes with such an intensity that makes you think wow where has she been hiding. Her characters are so well written and complex. She takes you to a fantasy when you start reading . You will be sucked in big time. The attraction that James and Abigale have for each other is unbelievable. You will be wanting to slap James upside the head when he tries to push her away . Trust me you want slap him a few times, I know I did. There are some great scenes where there is girl bonding between Alice and Effie. They are like the mother and sister Abigale never had living in the nunnery. Who wouldn't want a man like James 6ft 4 , built like a freight train and a sensitive soul. A man who would lay down his life for you . I so know I would love a man like that . insert big sigh here.  Actually all the men in the clan are hot hot hot.
The author transport us to another place and time , this is the book to read this summer. So if you want to read a great story about highlanders, the women who love them and of course dragons . This is the book for you . Congratulations Victoria can't wait for book two

GOOD SATURDAY EVERYONE

I am so sorry about the lateness of the blog post today. The joys of living on the farm and the joys of someone hitting the tower your satellite receiver is attached to . But I am up and running now and doing a shout out today to
LOVE WITH EVERY BEAT BY KL SHANDWICK

                              BOOK BLURB

ALFIE BLACK has everything he needs to pass scrutiny as a rock star. He’s a drop dead gorgeous specimen of a man. Rough around the edges and still flawless to look at. Alfie is a jaw dropping, panty melting, tattooed bad boy. Add tall and athletically toned with a fabulous face, eyes and smile, and it’s easy to see he’d be going places. Ticking most of the boxes required as the lead singer in a band, the last part of the equation many not have mattered much. However, Alfie is an incredibly talented singer and musician.
Women want Alfie. Men want to be Alfie.
So, gifted Alfie is given opportunities to progress both as an artiste, with his band Crakt Soundzz, but also to share his passion and pass his knowledge on to others at music college.
For now, he thinks it’s enough. That is, until he meets Lily, the English girl who arrives at college to study music in Miami.
Lily is Alfie’s equal in many ways, musically gifted, stunning and in a di
erent league to any girl Alfie has ever known. She is focused and driven. Single minded about her one passion in life. Music. The only thing Lily has ever wanted in life is to play and to play well.
Alfie shares his thoughts, feelings and emotional conflict in his story. (Lily's Story The Everything Trilogy)

HAPPY THURSDAY PEEPS

Well I have to admit something to you all, I HATE CLOWNS, yes I admit it . Ever since reading IT by Stephen King I have hated those smiley, balloon animal making circus acts. Well when I got this book I didn't see the cover right away. So here I am beginning the book and guess what we have a clown. So you know that any book that has a killer clown it will make me squirm and also make me read and that is what I did well into to the night  THE COLOR OF EVIL by Connie Corcoran Wilson

BOOK BLURB
Named both an E-Lit Gold Medal winner (Horror), a Silver Feather (IWPA) winner, and a Lucky Cinda winner while leading all books in recommendations for the Bram Stoker in the YA category (2012), THE COLOR OF EVIL: A Paranormal Thriller, is the first book in the young adult series by the same name (THE COLOR OF EVIL).

Tad McGreevy has a power that he has never revealed, not even to his life-long best friend, Stevie Scranton. When Tad looks at others, he sees colors. These auras tell Tad whether a person is good or evil. At night, Tad dreams about the evil-doers, reliving their crimes in horrifyingly vivid detail.

But Tad doesn't know if the evil acts he witnesses in his nightmares are happening now, are already over, or are going to occur in the future. He has no control over the horrifying visions. He has been told (by his parents) never to speak of his paranormal power. All Tad knows is that he wants to protect those he loves. And he wants the bad dreams to stop.
At Tad's eighth birthday party (April 1, 1995) in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the clown his parents hire to entertain Tad's third-grade classmates is one of the bad people. Pogo, the Killer Clown (aka Michael Clay) is a serial killer. So begins 53 nights of terror as Tad relives Pogo's crime, awakens screaming, and recites the terrifying details to his disbelieving family. The situation becomes so dire that Tad is hospitalized in a private institution under the care of a psychiatrist---who also does not believe the small boy's stories of having paranormal power.

And then the police arrest Pogo, the Killer Clown.

Flash forward to the beginning of Tad's junior year in high school, 8 years later. Tad is 16 and recovered from the spring of his third-grade year. When Michael Clay was caught and imprisoned, the crime spree ended and so did Tad's bad dreams.

Until now, in the year of our Lord 2003, when evil once again stalks the land.

MY REVIEW
Well this is a book that had me turning pages , even though it has a psychotic killed clown in it . This is a well written book that takes us on a journey . Ta is just a boy when they realize that he can see auras and has dreams of death . Noone believes him so he hides it . We jump ahead where Tad is a junior in high school and has friends and is in love with his best friend Jenny. As they navigate through school and life things start to happen and events unfold as they do their best to figure out where Stevie went and how to get Jenny away from Jeremy
The author took us on an adventure . The two main characters are well written and just a little misunderstood. Pogo the clown is the epitome of evil. And no I am not biased because I hate clowns . The clown is psychotic and jut pure evil. Then there is Tad, you just really want to hug him and keep him safe. He is so sweet and kind and lovable . The boy can see evil and is trying to understand it . He doesn't know how to explain to people about the evil he sees.
There is so much more going on in this town then anyone wants to know. There is the psychotic boyfriend of Jenny's and the people cheating on each other. Jeremy is one character that has the makings to be the next serial killer. He is very abusive to his family and Jenny. Jenny was to me in my opinion, acting like an abused girlfriend. She knew she shouldn't see him but she did anyway. That to me is classic battered wife syndrome. They are very complex characters that will make you scream at the computer and then in the next sentence you want to hug them up and never let them go.
The author threw a bunch of twists and turns in the story, like what ever happened to Stevie . You actually need to keep turning the pages to find out what the hell is going on .  I will tell you this isn't an easy story to read. It will actually play with your mind a bit. I know it did with my mind. I was all over the place with this book, in a good way. I just couldn't get enough . I do admit it did drag for just a minute when Jenny kept saying that she shouldn't be seeing Jeremy but it wasn't that bad .
This is a great horror/thriller that will most definitely keep you reading. You will want to know what happens and what will become of the characters . Yes you will get invested in them, Cause honestly they are like the people that are in your life and live on your street. Yes even the psycho  clowns. There is a  cliff hanger at the end of this book but there is book two out.
So if you want a good horror story this is the book for you. But be prepared  you will most definitely hate clowns after this book. Thanks Connie for adding to my clown phobia LOL
