GOOD SUNDAY EVERYONE.

Good Sunday everyone , hope you all survived BLACK FRIDAY hope you got your Christmas shopping started . If you are stuck on a great gift for the teen your life you should check out TIME
TURNER book 2 in the Legends series by Marianne Morea.

BOOK BLURB
Rowen threw her arms in the air. “What am I supposed to say when I move into my dorm? Hi. I’m, Rowen. I’m a Liberal Arts major. I like music and hiking, and by the way I’m also a witch and really good with weird…”

Sparring with the fates.
Rowen Corbett and Hunter Morrissey are no strangers to powerful magic. Their senior year was a baptism by fire, caught in the paranormal crosshairs of a two hundred year old battle for justice and retribution. Now, weeks before college life is set to begin, the two are desperate to put to rest past events too hard to fathom and too painful to forget…so they head to the mountains for an innocent weekend of fun…

…But destiny isn’t finished with them.
Beckoning visions haunt Rowen’s dreams until unseen forces hurl her back in time to a colonial world of betrayal, revolutionary intrigue, and death. She finds herself face to face with people and events with a dark history not written in any textbook.
The power that summons her has unfinished business to complete and Rowen is the key. If she refuses, she faces far reaching consequences in the future where Hunter waits for a way for her to return. With only her wits and a basic knowledge of the past, she must survive long enough to earn her way home or die before she was ever born.

MY REVIEW
This is book two in the series , let me just say the series is getting better and better with each book. This books continues just a few weeks before Rowan and Hunter head off to college. The summer has be a little rough on them . Hunter in California and Rowan trying to come to terms about what has happened that night in the cemetery. She has also been having some disturbing visions of the past. Things happen when they are out on a day of rafting that sends Rowen into the past where she is the key to putting things right . She is the only one that can do it , with the knowledge of what happens and her wit she will get through this or die trying .
This the second book in the series and Marianne takes us on a great adventure. Being transported back to colonial times. From the sights and sounds to the places of history. Marianne takes us there.
Her characters are so realistic, you will fall in love with them , Rowen and the ladies are such fun characters to read, I especially love Mrs. Macpherson and Seargent Campbell. They become Rowen's surrogate parents, They are sweet and loving and treat Rowen like their own daughter.
This is a great book that both teens and us older teens would love to read. There is love , mystery and history all wrapped up in one nice fast read. I started this book in the after noon and finished it that night. I got so wrapped up in the story line I just couldn't put it down. Trust me you will want to find out what happens when Rowen is transported back. You want to try and figure out what happens cause you really want Rowen to get back home. You will laugh, cry and cheer as you read this book. You might even want to strangle a couple of people as you read but trust me this is one fast paced ride.
So if you want a great book to cuddle up with this  Christmas season . Or give as a gift to your favorite reader in your life . Check out TIME TURNER and her first book in the series HOLLOW'S END. Trust me you won't be disappointed at all. I guarantee it .

Good Friday

Good Friday all, hope you have had a great week and the readers in the U.S hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. Today we are reviewing THE DYING DANCE by Richardo Fleshman

BOOK BLURB
"How do we reconcile the beauty in death?"

The Dying Dance is the story of retired New Orleans Police Detective turned Private Investigator Moses Andre Byone, self proclaimed skeptic who uncovers an underworld of voodoo, dark magic and betrayal in the shadows of the human heart as he searches to understand the death of a wealthy white lawyer from Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. On his journey to solve the case Mose discovers a mysterious silver box that may hold the secrets to the darker human behaviors of greed, lust and power. He must find a way to not only protect himself, but also his beautiful young Creole ward, Lisette St. Germain, lest they meet with their own gruesome end. Filled with a wonderful cast of complex and unforgettable characters set against the alluring, grimy but mysterious backdrop of 1970's New Orleans, the story is sure to thrill and entertain as Mose searches to discover the truth of The Dying Dance.

MY REVIEW
Ok this isn't just a check it out and read , this is a MUST READ book. I got so sucked into this book. I read it and couldn't put it down, It takes place in New Orleans, so you know there is going to be voodoo and black magic happening . And boy is there ever , actually from the very first page.  There is also murder, ,mystery and love .
In this story we meet Moses Byone, a retired police officer, who now is a private eye who gets pulled into helping solve the murder of a prominent  white lawyer. As he works hard to discover the truth of what happened. But will he survive to find out what is going on.
The author takes us on a wild, wild ride. Set in the 1970's New Orleans. It is gritty and the twists and turns will keep you reading until late into the night. This is a very fast paced book.  Which to me is a great asset. Its straight to the point and like I said gritty. You don't have to read page after page to figure out what is happening. It is concise and to the point but still will take you on such a ride . You will get so engrossed , you will be reading well into the night
The characters in this book are so well written, they are so realistic and trust me you will want to hug Moses a few times . His character development was great, the characters came alive within the pages. They will jump out at you when you are reading.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a hard book to put down cause I so wanted to see how things turned out for Moses. It is a quick read and you will have it done in an evening but it is a really great read . I can't wait till book 2. This is going to be a great series and I hope it goes on for a while . So if you want a great mystery mixed in there voodoo , murder and love . This is the book for you . Trust me you will not be disappointed at all .

welcome to Monday all

Good Monday morning everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend full of lots of reading.  Today I am reviewing A NEW BEGINNING (The Second Chances Series ) by Christina Escoe

BOOK BLURB
For the first eight years of her life Karla Hall knew nothing but love, but when her beloved Grams and Pops died everything changed and she was forced upon a mother who never wanted her.

For the next six years she never knew what was going to happen next. Her mother moved her from town to town, following whatever loser boyfriend she had at the time and drinking away what little money she made in whatever dead-end job she could find. Her mother was a mean drunk and Karla was her favorite target. The boyfriends were worse.

On her fourteenth birthday Karla’s life takes a drastic turn. He mother is arrested for soliciting drugs, the current boyfriend takes off and Karla is all alone in a dump of an apartment with no food and no money.

Caught shoplifting food, Karla is taken into the system and that’s where she meets The Peterson’s. Now she’s in a loving home, has a brother and sister she never knew about and has friends she’d never thought she’d have.

MY REVIEW
I started this book and had to put it down a couple of times . The abuse this poor girl went through. It broke my heart in a few places . Not being wanted by her mother at all was just so sad.  Until the day when at 14 she is arrested for shop lifting and her life changes for the better in the long run. She is placed in a home with love and a family.
This is Christina's first book, and she takes us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions . Her characters go through hell and come out the other end stronger. You can't help but not fall for these characters. You want to wrap them up and put them on a shelf so they won't get hurt. You will cry and laugh with these characters . There was just one little thing that had me going was that Kara was never down on herself feeling negative thoughts. She was always positive and had a good look out on life. Which is a great way to feel, but I wish she would of just wallowed a bit asking why her. Other then that I really liked the book and the characters. They will grow on you.
The author's style of writing is real and the flow of the book was great, the story moved easily and you could feel the feelings and the pain and love that were pouring through the pages .
So if you have some time this Christmas season take a chance and read this book. It will break your heart and the build you back up

WANT A GREAT BOOK TO READ FOR THE WEEKEND

Good Saturday all . Welcome to the weekend, it is getting closer to Christmas with each day that passes. I know we have lots to do but if you have some time you should read the new book by Tanya Sands , called MOBILE PLEASURE.

BOOK BLURB
Josie Stewart is a strong, independent woman not fully recovered from her abusive past. She put herself out there to others as a hardass. With a past that would cripple most, Josie rose above and conquered. Or has she? It certainly guided her down the path to S&M.
Enter Sam Jensen. Part owner of a local BDSM club. He knew he had a reputation as the club playboy, but deep down he was looking for more. Can his experience as a sadistic dominant show her that she was meant for him, meant for the lifestyle, meant to be cherished?
Can a sadist show a masochist that love comes when you least expect it?

MY REVIEW
This is the second book in the Chaser series. Sam and Josie's story.
If you remember you met both Josie and Sam in the first book. At a barbecue. He knew instantly that Josie was a submissive. Well this is their story and how they overcome the past to bring them together.
Tanya has a way of writing that makes you instantly fall in love with the characters. You find that their is bits of you in Josie. She is a character that is tough but yet so vulnerable that you want to just hug her one moment but the shake some sense into her the next. All her female characters are curvy and strong. There isn't a stick figure in the whole book . THANK GOD.  The men are hot and sexy and love them some curves. AGAIN THANK GOD . She also brings in the characters from the first book so we get to catch up with Randa and her men too.
There is BDSM in this book which Tanya writes with a realistic vibe to it. Not fantasy like a lot of other writers do. I mean there is a dick in every area and there is one in this book also. I will say that Tanya's writing of the BDSM lifestyle is comparable to the writings of  Cherise Sinclair as they both write with such an honesty and don't glamourize the lifestyle . So if you don't like reading honest BDSM then this might not be the book for you.
So if you want a book that you can read in a evening and be thoroughly entertained and fall in love . This is the book for you . You don't necessarily have to read book one but if you want to get to know them all its a good idea. So check out both DOUBLE HER PLEASURE , you will want to meet Jack and Chase, and MOBILE PLEASURE. You will have an enjoyable night of reading ahead of you
Trust me you will enjoy them.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE

Good Friday morning , woohoo the weekend is only a day away, Today I have a special book to review. BLOOM by Cathy Jackson. I was honored with the privilege to read this special book before it is released.

BOOK BLURB
Charles Swartz was abusive and demanding. He ruled my life with a leather strap and harsh words. The physical and mental abuse I suffered at his hands made me hate and fear him.
His death would be the only thing that could release me from our marriage.
John Westerling is caring and thoughtful. He treats me as his equal and his encouragement builds me up. His displays of patience and love to everyone around draws my heart to him.
Can the love we are finding together stand against a woman from his past who threatens to tear us apart and destroy all that we are working to achieve? Will I be able to trust again after being married to a tyrant?

MY REVIEW
Ok I will have to tell you the first chapters in this book will make you cry. I mean cry ugly tears. The abuse poor Phoenix goes through just breaks your heart. She falls in love and marries the supposed man of her dreams. But. he turns into a tyrant who abuses her so badly. She is just destroyed . Until the day she plants well attempts to plant a rosebush. And an angel comes into her life in the form of John Westerling and his daughter Anna.
As things happen Phoenix and John become more but will Phoenix realize that she deserves this man and his daughter before it is too late.
Cathy has taken us on an emotional rollercoaster with this novel. The depths of hell that Phoenix went through at the beginning will just break your heart. I had to walk away for a bit while reading this part. As someone who went through the ugliness of abuse. I knew what Phoenix was going through. I cried ugly tears as I read. Phoenix was a very real character for me . Her pain and her ultimate walking through the fire to be reborn is very real. It honestly takes that one special loving person that will help build that confidence and realize that you are deserving of love and happiness.
Cathy writes with such a passion and she conveys the feelings of these characters and shows us the emotions and love between these two people. It is all not sad ugly in this book. There are some awesome fun times to be had by everyone also. The lake scene is so cute well any scene with sweet little Anna in it is great. Anna seems  like the soothing balm between both of them.
This book is about strength and perseverance and ultimately survival of both your heart and soul. To realize that you are worthy of the love and respect. Which Cathy writes in spades. This book is so real and honest. The characters are just honest and written with such care. HONESTLY you can not help but fall in love. Cheer for them and hug them when life comes up and hurts them. There was one scene in the book when you finally feel Phoenix come into her power and realize that she would do anything and everything for her Anna and John. I so cheered when she took on Cat the ex wife. I was so proud of her .
So if you want a book that will bring out all kinds of emotions . That isn't full of brooding alpha males and naïve young women chasing after them. If you want a sweet love story that evolves this is the book for you. This is a refreshing loving book that I was so happy to read. Check out this book when it comes out at the end of November. I promise you will not be disappointed.

GOOD TUESDAY EVERYONE

GOOD TUESDAY everyone. Today is a big day for the blog. I have a great interview and review coming up. I got to do a interview with a great author I found actually by accident. I have fallen in love with his books and so would fan girl him if I ever met him. So lets get started.
Lets all welcome JD Horn to my little corner of the world.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG JD
Thanks for having me Patricia

Please tell us a little about yourself
I'm a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to writing. I left for college with a first draft of a novel under my arm, but ended up not pursuing a degree in creative writing. I did my undergraduate degree in Comparative World Literature, then went for an MBA after that. After far too many years in Finance, I realized that I had spent the better part of my life doing something I didn't love. When I asked myself what it was I really wanted to do, I realized that it was time to turn back to writing. Thanks to the success of the Witching Savannah series, I've been able to begin writing full-time. I no longer have a copy of the novel I began in high school, but I'm happy to be able to tell you that odd bits and pieces of it were reincarnated in THE LINE. In the words of Mikhail Bulgakov, "Manuscripts don't burn."
Tell our readers , what type of books do you write and how many have you written
So far I have written four novels. Three of them comprise the Witching Savannah series, a Southern Gothic horror fantasy featuring the flawed but (hopefully) lovable Taylor family.  The fourth book (which I actually wrote before Witching Savannah) is called THE ESSENCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR. It's a  coming of age story that combines Southern Gothic elements with Magical Realism. The story is based loosely on my own experiences as a child singer for a televangelist. With any luck, THE ESSENCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR will find a publisher in the near future. I'm also currently working on JILO: A WITCHING SAVANNAH PREQUEL. What can I say? Jilo isn't done with me yet.
Your new book just came out. Can you give us a sneak peek and tell us what is it about
As the cheery title THE VOID may tell you, Mercy and her family will be heading into some very dark places in the final chapter of Mercy's story. Mercy begins this portion of her adventure believing that she has uncovered all lies, and that there are no secrets left. She couldn't be more wrong; the darkest secret and the deepest lie still await her discovery.
I think of THE VOID as a book with two endings. There is talk in Savannah of the "Bonaventure Curse." This curse demands that once Bonaventure Cemetery gets a taste for a visitor, that visitor will feel compelled to visit again and again until the cemetery itself is satisfied. The finale I had originally intended--Chapter Thirty-Six--takes place in Bonaventure Cemetery, just like the endings of THE LINE and THE SOURCE. I liked the symmetry of concluding all three books in the same setting, and the magic of a three-time repetition seemed sure to satisfy Bonaventure's curse. The problem was that everyone--and I mean EVERYONE--hated my intended ending. Not just a mild dislike or even a smoldering hate. People were grabbing pitchforks and flaming torches and banging on my door. After an extremely short period of reflection, I realized my ending was not only cheating Mercy, it was also cheating the readers who had gone on the journey with her. I was wrong, and I'm glad the people who care about Mercy told me so. I love the updated ending, and hope you all will too.

Do you have any rituals when you write.
Naw. I wish I had something cool to say for this, but I'm coming up with nothing. I often close my eyes and take a deep breath before diving in, but I'm not sure that qualifies.

Who inspired you to start writing.
Armistead Maupin. His TALES OF THE CITY taught me that literature can be light and entertaining, but profound at the same time. To paraphrase Mary Poppins, a spoonful of entertainment helps the social commentary go down.

NOW FOR SOME RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS

COFFEE OR TEA
Coffee, except on rainy afternoons. Then tea.

FAVORITE JUNK FOOD
Carrot cake. Or jelly beans. Ooh. Or maybe Doritos.

FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov

FAVORITE AUTHOR , besides yourself hahahahaha.
Gosh. Eeks. So many. Too many to pick just one. How about a few? Mikhail Bulgakov, John Steinbeck, Armistead Maupin, Neil Gaiman, Charlaine Harris.

FAVORITE TIME OF DAY FOR WRITING
I don't have a favorite time, really. When I'm in the zone, outside time doesn't matter.

FAVORITE MUSIC TO LISTEN TO WHEN YOU WRITE
Country/Folk Country--Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Mary Chapin Carpenter

AND NOW MY LAST QUESTION
What would you tell an aspiring writer. What words of wisdom would you give them
Wow. Me. Wisdom. I guess I'd tell them that it appears it really is never too late. So many areas of endeavor belong to the young, but I had just turned 46 when THE LINE sold. If becoming a published author is their dream, they should keep trying. The other thing I'd tell them, though, is to be prepared to face rejection and not to let it cripple them. It's a tough business. Finishing your book is only the first step.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME TODAY AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR RELEASE DAY

AND NOW HERE IT IS THE VOID BY JD HORN
Book Three in the darkly magical Witching Savannah series.
An otherworldly energy runs through the city of Savannah, betraying its sleepy, moss-cradled charm. The old, beguiling streets look welcoming to most…but certain families know what lurks under their genteel surfaces. Families like Mercy Taylor’s, which has the most powerful lineage of witches in the South, know this all too well.
Mercy and her husband, Peter, are happily preparing to welcome baby Colin into their lives. But their excitement quickly becomes overshadowed by a gruesome discovery: someone has scattered severed limbs throughout the city. After a troubling visit from an old foe, Mercy learns dark magic is at play, and someone—or something—wants her and her unborn child out of the picture. To uncover the shocking reason why, the amateur witch must face a force beyond her power…or risk losing everything.

MY REVIEW

This is the third installment of the Savannah witches series. What can I say about the third installment but holy moly.  As soon as I saw that it was up for pre order , I preordered it . Then it came up to read on Netgalley and  of course I like many people jumped at the chance. So I got the book in the late afternoon. Thought I would start it and then finish it the next day. Well I was wrong. I started the book and was so into it , I didn't hear the hubby come home. I was that wrapped up in Mercy and her family. Wondering what was going to happen next. All I can say is thank goodness for left overs and a hubby who knows not to bother me while reading.
I couldn't believe the twist that JD dropped on us and Mercy. I would of never ever thought of what happened and what Mercy actually was and what she would become.
There is magic and witches but at the heart of this book and all JD's books are family. What family will do when one of their members is attacked. The love of each member in that family. They prove that they will do anything  and everything to keep each other safe even in a crisis and murder . Trust me he puts his characters through some horrible things. Between body parts being found all over Savannah and then the bombing of her husbands bar. There was family to help Mercy  get through it all.  JD weaves such a great tale that will take you to some dark places but will always bring you back. There might be some tears that will fall and you will laugh. Throw your kindle across the room. But, most of all you will be entertained and you will fall in love with Mercy Peter and the rest of the cast of characters . I dare you not to giggle when you read about Jilo , she is one crazy lady , you can't help but fall in love with.
What else can I say about this book besides its a great read for those cold winter nights. This isn't a stand alone you should really read the first two books in the series. THE LINE  book 1. THE SOURCE book 2 and then THE VOID . Trust me they will suck you in and keep you reading all night long.
.

GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE

GOOD MONDAY all, I hope you are all ready to have a great week. Can you believe that there is only 5 weeks till Christmas. I will be starting my Christmas books soon but first I want to let you all in on a little secret and tell you about a absolutely hilarious book by Hank Quense. MOXIE'S PROBLEM

BOOK BLURB
Do you enjoy untypical coming-of-age stories? Well, you won’t find one more untypical that Moxie’s Problem. Moxie is an obnoxious, teen-age princess who has never been outsider her father’s castle. Until now. The real world is quite different and she struggles to come to grips with reality. The story take space against a backdrop of Camelot. But it isn’t the Camelot of legends. It’s Camelot in a parallel universe. So, all bets are off!

MY REVIEW

Well let me tell you I have never ever laughed so hard while reading a book. It is a great spoof of all thing Camelot and king Arthur.  Nothing is as it seems in this parallel universe. We have a princess who has never been out of the castle , a trendy king Artie an his knights of the round table. Moxie knows there is life outside the castle and wants a piece of the life just for a bit, but she finds out that real life is not all cracked up to be as she and her three knights take off on an adventure . Will Moxie find the life she wants or will she be married off . To find out you have to read the book
This was the first book I have read by Hank and omg I loved every minute of it. I loved how he has taken the points in history and added a twist to make it his own. In the book the knights aren't what they appear to be one is a accountant a chef and an artist. Who have to rescue her after she is kidnapped. Oh yeah don't forget the Saxons and The Knights on the battle field and what a battle it was. Lets just say the knights teach the Saxons a lesson as the English would call it the football field and as we call it the soccer field. I laughed so hard reading that scene. Things just get crazier from then on.
Hank takes us on a fun filled ride, he mixes real life with historical facts and lore. He makes each character their own. The serfs have their own slang in this book. It is a fun quick read that will leave you laughing and wanting to return to reread over and over.  So if you want to read a book with hysterical characters that smoke hemp and make you laugh over and over . This is the book for you
Check it out .

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE

Happy hump day everyone. hope your week is going great.  Today I am going to review THE SURROGATES by Consuella Harris

BOOK BLURB
The deaths of two prominent businessmen on the same day of heart attacks is at first declared to be of natural causes. No investigation happens until a former law clerk hires an investigator to check into these murders, and the connection to the Lake Shore Parenting Group.

Three women became surrogate mothers through this group and their children were adopted by five couples. Once the information about their births is revealed to them, it sets in motion events none had anticipated.

The investigation into these families, their lives, and those behind the events changes everything they believe. Yet, there is still a murderer on the loose, unless the intrepid investigator can bring that person to justice.

MY REVIEW
OK going to tell you when you start this book don't start it late in the evening cause you will not be putting it down until the wee hours of the morning. I mean there is surrogate  pregnancies and murder and a detective wanting to get to the bottom of the murders. As they start talking to the surrogates we find out all the reasons behind why they chose to be a surrogate. Some of them very interesting. The stories of each surrogate is emotional, stirring and very complex. You really start care for these women. Their stories will make you think about what goes on when these women went through to carry that child and then give it away.
The author draws us in and keeps us turning the pages . She writes a very realistic story line and you know and feel what these women are going through . The way she describes a scene it is so realistic
Her characters are so life like and you just want to hug each and every one of them. But also there is a murderer running among them and that mystery needs to be solved also. The author weaves the murders seamlessly with the stories of the surrogates.  So you are also trying to figure out who the murderer is . There is just one little thing that bugged me is that it started out in the first person and then ends up in third person in some areas so that was a little bump.
Over all I recommend this book to anyone who want to read a story that is still talked about around the water cooler and what exactly happens to the surrogates and what they go through , with a dash of murder thrown in to keep you reading all night long

GOOD MONDAY MORNING ALL

Good Monday morning all . hope you all had a fabulous weekend . We had a very sad weekend on the farm . I lost my beloved German shepherd/ husky cross, he was 16 and he passed away in my lap. I know he is in a better place but still it hurts so deeply. So I needed a funny read to pass the time. So I picked up Robyn Peterman 's HELL ON WELLS

BOOK BLURB

Kentucky. Eden, Kentucky to be more specific—where nothing is exactly as it seems.

My name is Dixie. I’m a Demon—a lousy Demon. I’m a twenty-one year old virgin and I have a battery operated boyfriend. My magic is iffy at best and downright dangerous at worst. Leaving Hell to represent my race is not high on my list of things to do.

Hell was exact. Hell was simple. All I want to do is get to home base with the hotter than Hades Demon of my dreams and work on my dark side so Satan, my dad, will get off my ass.

Instead I end up in Kentucky looking for the Balance of Chaos, avoiding pole dancing classes with Mother Nature and finding out my invisible friend is a silver skinned destructive weather pattern.

And if that isn’t craptastic enough, the damn Sword of Death is missing again and who ever has it wants the King of the Underworld dead. Seriously.

With new powers emerging daily, keeping my Demon side, horniness and general disgust under wraps doesn’t make it any easier to fit in with the humans. Thankfully my priorities are in line: get laid…save world…try not to blow up kitchen appliances…and get laid again. I was ready to rumble.
All I want to do is go back to Hell, but with the balance of good and evil in my hands, I’m stuck in the garden of Eden. Oh well, what the Hell. Someone has to save the world before there’s no world left to save. Might as well be me.

MY REVIEW
This book had me laughing out loud the whole time I was reading. Poor Dixie the too good demon and daughter of Satan. She has iffy powers and just wants to get back to hell. Also she wants to get laid, it sucks still being a virgin even in hell.
She gets sent to Kentucky and all hell breaks loose. The sword of Death is missing and her powers emerging every day , what is a girl going to do?  She is horny and blowing things up . She needs to get laid and her new powers under control. Oh yeah also save the world and her dad. Will she do it and loose her virginity.
All I can say is Robyn did it again, she takes us on a laugh out loud romp through her book. Thi is the third book in the series and lets just say with each new book it gets better and better. She always takes us to a play where we cant help but smile and laugh. Even on our sad days , one of Robyn's books will pick you up and giggle
I mean who else can basically describe a place in Kentucky and have it feel like it suppose to be in hell. Some of the words she comes up with just make me laugh out loud but yet I find myself using them in my everyday world. I have even used amazeballs in my blog posts a time or two .
Robyn always has some really quirky characters and this book doesn't disappoint. There are reappearing characters and some new ones . I absolutely loved Dixie, she is so sweet but also so feisty. She has some hilarious situations she has to get out of while trying to solve the riddles that keep popping up.  Then there is Hayden the hot guy from college  oh my he is hot. He is seeking her out too , there are some pretty hot hubba hubba between Dixie and Hayden.

Today we have a guest reviewer

It Friday wooohoooooo. I am very happy that the weekend is upon us finally. It has been a busy week and now we are starting to get ready for Christmas. So today I have a guest reviewer Ashleigh. She is reviewing SERIAL volume one by Lily White and Jaden Wilkes

BOOK BLURB
Serial. A brand new dark, erotic thriller from the twisted minds of Lily White and Jaden Wilkes.

Jude Hollister kills. Born with everything, wanting for nothing, murder has become his addiction. He kills women who entice him. He immortalizes them while they’re still young and beautiful. How will he manage to save the one woman he loves?

Ronnie Lapierre is a survivor. Born with nothing, she’s struggling in a dead end job with an abusive bastard for a boyfriend. Jude offers her a way out, salvation beyond her wildest dreams. What will happen when she learns his terrible secret?

Donovan Blake is the brightest mind to come out of Quantico in years. Charged with finding the Cascades Butcher, he’s perfect for this game of cat and mouse. Will his own dark past lead him to success, or drag him into the depths of hell with the most dangerous man he’s ever encountered?

Hearts will be broken, families destroyed, and good men will turn evil. In the end, only one will remain. Find out who survives in this intense story of love and ruin.

***Explores dark themes of murder, violence, sexuality, BDSM, the nature of evil...basically all the good stuff.
****Serial is a serial, shorter stories published faster. How long is ultimately ends up becoming is solely dependent upon our readers. The more you want, the more we write.

ASHLEIGH'S REVIEW

Okay, so I was impressed but not impressed if that makes sense? I have very few hard lines when it comes to books and will read anything (once) this book had one of my big fat giant NO’s as a centre of the story so I found it hard to swallow past it.
You will be horrified right from page one. And i mean that horrified! This is not romance, dark romance or anything close at all it is just DARK! Being the first part in a SERIAL we don’t get many answers, but boy do I have questions!

Jude holy hot serial killing sex machine! Ronnie, sweet stupid Ronnie...
I love the way Jude’s mind works and that we get to crawl inside his insanity and feel what he feels. BUT I have this hard line where biting bits of people off just kills it for me... So lets just say that I had a hard time with his some of his methods as a killer.
I am hooked enough to want to, no need to read volume two and will one-clickety click when it comes out...I have a thing for serial killers!
Four dark and twisty stars from me (had he not been into biting bits off this would be five)

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE

Happy Hump day everyone today I am going to review BLACK MAGIC WOMAN by Eric Wilder

BOOK BLURB
Burdened by spring floods, malaria and yellow fever, citizens of old New Orleans often turned to voodoo practitioners—African Rosalie, Sanite Dede, Bras Coupe—for protection. None were more powerful, or feared, than Doctor John and Marie Laveau. After P.I. Wyatt Thomas encounters a ghost during a hospital visit, he tells his sometimes business partner voodoo mambo Mama Mulate. She places him in a trance and channels the ghost, soon learning a curse connects him and a long-dead French aristocrat. They are doomed to remain connected forever unless Wyatt can return to old New Orleans and lift the curse before midnight on New Year’s Eve.

MY REVIEW
I started reading this book and honestly couldn't put it down. Even though it is book 4 , you can read and understand what is going on. This story is about Wyatt Thomas a P.I who encounters a ghost and soon finds out that there is a curse that connects him to a French aristocrat and he has to go and break the curse in old New Orleans and he has to do it before midnight New Years eve .
This book is full of voodoo, ghosts and time travel oh yeah and throw the mob in there for some added fun. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat as you read. I was reading well into the night.
I loved the characters , especially Rosalie and Mama and the other voodoo priestess, they are very colorful and sometimes scary in the way they are . Wyatt is a  character that you wanted either hug or punch. But in the end you cheer for him and pray that he can get the curse broken. The author writes such likable and realistic characters that you want to love and cheer for. You know these characters are hurting or going to feel hurt as you read.
This is a good old fashion read which has it all sex, magic. and curses . If you want to read a book that will take you away to a place in time. You will like this book. The twists and turns alone will keep reading , and keep you engaged until the end. This will be the book for you. You really want to find out if Wyatt breaks the curse and get back. Just start this book early in the day cause you will be reading well into the night.

today we have a special interview Willsin Rowe

Today we have a special treat for you. We have Willsin Rowe here to talk about his new book

Hi Willsin and welcome to my page.
Hi thanks for having me .

Please tell us a little about yourself.
Hi! Im Willsin Rowe, and Im an Aussie guy who writes erotica and erotic romance. Im also a busy cover artist and until recently was a working musician as well. Im 45, married, have two sons, and as my official bio says, Im neither stylish enough nor scruffy enough to be cool!

Tell our readers, what type of books do you write and how many have you written?
Mostly I write contemporary erotic romance, although Im told my work is often romantic, but not capital-R Romance. That could be because Im male and my sense of romance is different to most womens. I recently put the finishing touches on a paranormal erotic romance story as well, though Im yet to decide if its my genre or not!

Your new book just came out. Can you give us a sneak peek and tell us what is it about?
Sure! Its called This, I Can Do and its a short erotic romance about a young couple and the upheaval that comes from having a teething baby. Not really standard erotic fare, I realise, but I personally believe almost any intense situation between consenting adults can have an erotic side to it.

BLURB:

Teresa Ross is having the morning from hell. Still fairly new to motherhood, the changes to her once-slender body are one thing. But a teething baby she can't calm and the sleepless nights that go with it have drained her resources.

Even a phone call to her calm-voiced husband Bradley does nothing. But when he surprises her by coming home from work, everything suddenly feels right.
The lustful look in his eye lights a fire inside her that she feared had been doused forever. Far from being disgusted by the jiggly bits and stretch marks that taunt her in the mirror, Bradley sees the desirable woman shes always been
with a whole lot more depth and character.

When Bradley uses his daddy-magic to get the baby to sleep, the world is suddenly a beautiful place. But when he sends Teresa to bed, rest is the last thing on her mind.
To truly connect with her husband again, shell have to put aside her body issues. Under Bradleys tender touch and fiery eyes, suddenly that seems like the easiest thing in the world to do.

Do you have any rituals when you write.
Not exactly. I suppose turning off my wi-fi is about it! Damn you, Facebooooooook!

Who inspired you to start writing.
It wouldnt be any one person, I dont think. Mainly it would be the writers I read when younger, and the way their words made me feel. For a while I was convinced Id end up writing comedy (and I do, in fact, get good feedback on any comedic works I write). I suppose I would trace that back through Douglas Adams, to Monty Python and then back to The Goon Show.

NOW FOR SOME RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS

COFFEE OR TEA
What is this tea you speak of? Heehee!

FAVORITE JUNK FOOD
Good ol fish n chips.

FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME
The Cat in the Hat! (Seriously, that was the book that broke through my resistance at age 5 and showed me how amazing reading was).

FAVORITE AUTHOR, besides yourself hahahahaha.

FAVORITE TIME OF DAY FOR WRITING
Mid-morning through to mid-afternoon.

FAVORITE MUSIC TO LISTEN TO WHEN YOU WRITE
Hey, Im a dude. I need SILENCE! But when my familys being noisy, I crank up rain sounds and put on my headphones.
AND NOW MY LAST QUESTION

What would you tell an aspiring writer? What words of wisdom would you give them?
Learn your craft as best you can and keep on plugging away. Always remember some will love your work and some will not. And as an extension of thateven if the haters cant separate the author from the story, if you want to remain sane, YOU must do so! DONT FEED THE TROLLS!
HERE IS AN EXCERPT FROM THIS I CAN DO

The bed was comfortable and the morning was warm. With the blinds closed, the room had a twilight feel about it. The night had been awful, and my handsome husband was tending our beautiful baby. The house was quiet and the bedroom was toasty. Conditions were perfect for a long and well-deserved sleep.
So it was sweet torture to realize I was horny like I couldn
t believe. Damn Bradley and his hand on my hip. Damn his words of praise. And most of all, damn those beautiful eyes of his, roaming all over me.

My shower interlude had done less than nothing. It was like killing one ant, only to awaken the entire colony. The tickling want in my pussy had only one cure, and, after four months of discomfort, 19 hours of agony, and seven months of parenthood, it was the one that scared me the most.
My husbands cock. No matter how much Id missed the feel of him inside me, the way hed rock his hips against me and pin me to the bed and draw long moans from within me, I
d let fear block me. And fear had become a habit. A habit that needed breaking as soon as possible.
Everything was quiet in the house. Either Bradley had left with Abbie, or he
d done the impossible, and actually gotten her to sleep.
Babe?
I remembered my sister using that voice. The one you try to project three rooms away without actually making any noise.
He nudged the door open. Abbie was still in his arms, but with a pacifier in her mouth she was finally, blissfully asleep. Or maybe it was the warmth and strong pounding of her daddys chest. Hell, Id long ago lost count of the times Id fallen asleep listening to Brad
s heartbeat.
Babe, why dont you put her down?
Aw, I dont get to hold her like this all that often.

I drew the covers slowly down and showed him where my hand was. Oh. okay. Please yourself. And Ill just have to do the same.

Bradley moaned as he once again studied my naked body. Oh, god. Ill be right back.
