                            BOOK BLURB

THE NEW TWISTY, GRIPPING READ FROM B. A. PARIS, THE AUTHOR OF THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING NOVELS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND THE BREAKDOWN
“We’re in a new Golden Age of suspense writing now, because of amazing books like Bring Me Back, and I for one am loving it.” —Lee Child
"[An] outstanding Hitchcockian thriller.” —Publishers Weekly (starred review)
She went missing. He moved on. A whole world of secrets remained—until now.

Finn and Layla are young, in love, and on vacation. They’re driving along the highway when Finn decides to stop at a service station to use the restroom. He hops out of the car, locks the doors behind him, and goes inside. When he returns Layla is gone—never to be seen again. That is the story Finn told to the police. But it is not the whole story.
Ten years later Finn is engaged to Layla’s sister, Ellen. Their shared grief over what happened to Layla drew them close and now they intend to remain together. Still, there’s something about Ellen that Finn has never fully understood. His heart wants to believe that she is the one for him...even though a sixth sense tells him not to trust her.
Then, not long before he and Ellen are to be married, Finn gets a phone call. Someone from his past has seen Layla—hiding in plain sight. There are other odd occurrences: Long-lost items from Layla’s past that keep turning up around Finn and Ellen’s house. Emails from strangers who seem to know too much. Secret messages, clues, warnings. If Layla is alive—and on Finn’s trail—what does she want? And how much does she know?
A tour de force of psychological suspense, Bring Me Back will have you questioning everything and everyone until its stunning climax.

                        MY REVIEW

What do you do if you head to the restroom in a gas station and when you come out the love of your life is gone . That is what happened to Finn . Layla and Finn are young and in love they can't get enough of each other . Until the day she goes missing and Finn is the only one that has seen her. But there is more to this story . After ten years later when Finn is engaged to Layla's sister Eileen . When a phone call puts Finn on the mission to find Layla after mysterious phone calls and emails start happening to the house . Will he figure out what is going on and who is sending them . Or will he be questioning his own mind .
The characters in this book were ok  sometimes they came off as very immature. Finn kind of drove me crazy , he was a middle aged man but sometime he came off as very immature . Then there were times that he was overzealous . Layla's character was well we really didn't get to know about her , she was an intrigant part of the story even though we see her more in flashbacks and memories . Eileen is I think the best character in the book there is so much more to her then meets the eye . And you will see when you read the book  what I mean .
This book started out really slow , it took a bit to get into the story line but once you do its a non stop roller coaster ride . The author really puts her characters through the ringer .There some parts of the book that I felt dragged and were slow and I wish the author had built more of an ending  The ending fell flat and I was kind of confused on what was happening . Over all I did enjoy the story and the characters.  There was a great twist that will have you going what. So if you want a good read that will have you on the edge of your seat check it out

ITS RELEASE DAY

Good Thursday all , today I am going to review an author who I just adore . Jessica Aspen has gone back to the Crimson Court with  ASHES  .

                           BOOK BLURB

An enslaved princess, a charming thief, and a power-hungry step-mother out for revenge…
ASHES: a twisted Cinderella fairy tale of romance and magic
Princess Ellasin has been living a life of drudgery in her own castle working for her step-mother, the Crimson Queen. When sexy, devil-may-care Finn Aduain breaks in and invites her to take a walk on the wild side, instead of danger—Ella sees opportunity.
Disgraced prince turned charming thief— Finn has his own secrets. But when he meets the charmingly innocent ash-girl, he’s intrigued. Seducing Ella into leaving the life she’s always known becomes his new mission.
Desperate to for power, the queen has decreed a ball for Ella’s step-sisters to find husbands and Ella decides—this is the perfect night to escape. With the assistance of Finn, the castle ghost, and her own surprisingly strong magic, Ella finally discovers freedom. But freedom comes at a price. Ella learns that her step-mother drained Ella’s father of his life and his magic—and now intends to drain her too. Ella vows to take back her throne and put an end to her step-mother, once and for all.
Dare to discover Jessica Aspen’s world of steamy, fantasy romance in her brand new twisted fairy tale series: Tales of the Crimson Court

                       MY REVIEW
Ashes is a twist on Cinderella with elves, fairies . and witches . Ellasin is living the life that is not hers. She is working as a maid in her step mothers court . No one knows who she actually is . Until the day she accidently meets Finn a sweet thief who asks her to take a walk on the wild side . When there is a ball announced for the step sisters . Will Ella and Finn figure out how to save each other and take back the kingdom from the evil step mother.
The characters in this story are so well written . Ella is such a sweet girl a little naïve . Which for me is all part of her charm . She has been basically forgotten most of her life . So when she comes into her own she really comes into her own . I really liked Ella , you want to hug her and take care of her all through out this story.  Finn well what can we say about Finn. He is a brooding prince turned thief . But there is more to him then we see at first . This brooding ,sexy man has a mission to find his sister . Which has him on a one track mind . He doesn't think he is good enough for anyone let alone Ella .  They both have so much pain in their backgrounds you hope and pray that they can come through it . The step mother is evil I mean really evil . There is really nothing nice about her . She would even pit her daughters against each other . With no real power she has to siphon power off those that are stronger . I really just kind of wanted her to get what is coming to her .
I know there are so many books that do the Cinderella twist but I will say that this book is different. This book has so many great aspects to it . The characters are well written and complex. The story has so many twists and turns that will keep you reading . Also the heroine isn't a damsel in distress, she holds her own with those around her. The author has tied this story in with her other fairy tale books of the black court series . I truly enjoy theses books . They will take you away into a fairy tale , with romance and magic and some great characters .  This would be a great summer read for those long lazy days by the pool . Check it out if you love fairy tales that are turned on their ear you will not be disappointed .

Good Wednesday all

Welcome to Wednesday today we are going to review a new young adult author Tiki Kos and her book MERCY BROW.

                            BOOK BLURB

"Don't worry these vampires are not sparkly." ★★★★★
I've always been the prey.

All Seventeen-year-old Mercy Brown wanted to do was finish her last year of high school without any glitches. Now, vampires are tearing apart the small town of Good springs. While teaming up with her friends, Sebastien Balaur the mysterious new boy and Amanda the book crazed bestie, Mercy will learn a secret about herself and that blood really is thicker than water.

To catch the predator, I must become the hunter.

Tiki Kos's dark and monstrous story tells a tale of a girl who loses everything but finds her true calling in a town where she was the outcast but now is the savior.

                         MY REVIEW

Welcome to Good Springs , and the home town of Mercy Brown. A misfit and an outcast in her high school . With a drunken father and a best friend . She is trying to just get through high school . Until the day when a dark brooding guy shows up and there is more to Sebastien then meets the eye . Until the night that Mercy realizes that Vampires are ripping their town apart .She becomes the hunter .
This is not your sparkly vampire book . The characters are well written and you get involved with them . Mercy is a misfit that just wants to get her senior year down .  She is misunderstood and sometimes it is really hard to connect with her . But over all she is a strong willed girl who just wants to survive. She kicks butt and helps her best friend survive .  Amanda is Mercy's bestie she is as sweet as can be .  Sebastien is complicated . He is part of the problem but is also there to help Mercy and Amanda . He is actually kind of caught between the dark and the light . He is also really cute and brooding . I promise he doesn't sparkle either .
This book was a fast read for me . I read it in an evening . The author adds a new twist to the vampire genre . There are times though I felt that it fell flat a few times and a couple of areas it felt just a little rushed Over all I truly enjoyed this book, it is a great coming of age story about a young woman who just doesn't fit in . Until the day that the world starts to go down . She becomes the hunter that she knows she can be . You daughters will love this book and so will you . So if you want a fun action packed book . Check it out . You will not be disappointed

GOOD MONDAY EVERYONE

Good Monday all , today we are going to review a new author to me , Jennifer Hillier and her book JAR OF HEARTS .

                            BOOK BLURB

"Jar of Hearts grabs you by the throat! The perfect blend of riveting characters, chilling details, and gasping twists in this standout thriller will keep you frantically reading until the explosive end.” – Lisa Gardner, New York Times bestselling author of Right Behind You

A Top 10 bestseller (CrimeReads) A June 2018 LibraryReads pick
This is the story of three best friends: one who was murdered, one who went to prison, and one who's been searching for the truth all these years . . .
When she was sixteen years old, Angela Wong—one of the most popular girls in school—disappeared without a trace. Nobody ever suspected that her best friend, Georgina Shaw, now an executive and rising star at her Seattle pharmaceutical company, was involved in any way. Certainly not Kaiser Brody, who was close with both girls back in high school.
But fourteen years later, Angela Wong's remains are discovered in the woods near Geo's childhood home. And Kaiser—now a detective with Seattle PD—finally learns the truth: Angela was a victim of Calvin James. The same Calvin James who murdered at least three other women.
To the authorities, Calvin is a serial killer. But to Geo, he's something else entirely. Back in high school, Calvin was Geo's first love. Turbulent and often volatile, their relationship bordered on obsession from the moment they met right up until the night Angela was killed.
For fourteen years, Geo knew what happened to Angela and told no one. For fourteen years, she carried the secret of Angela's death until Geo was arrested and sent to prison.
While everyone thinks they finally know the truth, there are dark secrets buried deep. And what happened that fateful night is more complex and more chilling than anyone really knows. Now the obsessive past catches up with the deadly present when new bodies begin to turn up, killed in the exact same manner as Angela Wong.
How far will someone go to bury her secrets and hide her grief? How long can you get away with a lie? How long can you live with it? Find out in Jennifer Hillier's Jar of Hearts.

                          MY REVIEW

This is the first book I have read by this author and I must say that I was really impressed . You know when you have a secret  and you are trying to keep this dark secret its bound to come out in one ay or another . Fourteen years ago Geo was part of a secret about what happened to her best friend Angela. After fourteen years and time in prison . Geo is finally released from prison and going to try and start her life over . But there is more to that night then people know . Will Geo be able to shake the fact that people are turning up dead around her that are killed in the same way Angela was. Will Geo be able to break from her past and have a life outside the lie .
This book is full of well written complex characters . Georgina aka Geo is a strong but confused woman , She has been carrying a dark secret around since she was a teen and ends up in prison at the beginning of the book . The five years she is in prison have strengthen her and made her into the woman that when she comes out all she wants is to be left alone . She is strong and gutsy but also it feels like she is still living in the past . The cast of secondary characters are varied and all have a part to play in the telling of Geo's story
This book has so many twists and turns the author can really tell a story. She takes us on a emotional rollercoaster ride that will have you sucked in from the very first page.  I truly enjoyed the writing style of this author. There is such and emotional book, I cried and I got angry  and I was generally perplexed and on the edge of my seat most of the way through this book .  There was only one thing that left me for not giving this a five star , The ending seemed rushed like the author had taken the characters to the edge and didn't know how to pull them back and build up the ending . Over all I truly enjoyed this book and the twist at the end had me reeling . I honestly couldn't believe what the author did . This is a creepy intense story that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through the book . This is a great summer read and you should pick it up and read it by the pool .

GOOD THURSDAY ALL

Good Thursday all , today we are going to review one of my all time favourite authors . She has a new book out the seventh in the Cursed by Blood series and Dominic's story . CONDEMNED is out today .

                            BOOK BLURB

Born to darkness in a time when crusades raged between battling faiths, Dominic De’Lessep is taken prisoner of the blood. Cursed for spurning his maker for delivering him to an existence devoid of light, she condemns him to a life alone, where anyone he dared love, dies.
A millennium later, revenge is all he wants, that is until he meets Belinda force, a fiery student of antiquities who knows him for what he is and what he plans to do.
Perilously drawn to this mysterious stranger, Belinda ignores the danger in his eyes and the icy touch that makes her body burn. She cannot deny her deep connection to the man and his quest or his raging need for her...even if it kills her. Can true love break the curse that’s held him for a thousand years?

                        MY REVIEW
For this being the seventh book in the series , the author didn't loose any steps . This is Dominic's story and I have loved this character since I first read about him . He has been alive since the time of the Templars , cursed to live in the darkness alone . Fast forward a millennium when he meets the woman that will change his long life . Belinda a young antiquities student . They are drawn to each other and will their love be enough to save Belinda and break the curse .
What can you say about these characters , they are well written and complex. Dominic is well lets just say he is sexy as sin and oh so brooding . You want to bring him out of his darkness and well do bad things with him . But there is more to this sexy vampire , there is a vulnerability to him that you see through out the story. He wants to love and be loved but there is the fact that he needs to take care of a problem from a long time ago . He is very protective of anyone who loves him . Now Belinda is a force to be reckoned with . She is a strong woman that can fight her own battles but she is also down to earth. They are great characters on their own but together they are combustible , they will blow your socks off .
The author takes us on a journey with a great mystery attached . You will love the characters and the story has so much to offer . We go back to the time of the Templars and it does suit Dominic's character so well . This author has such a way of telling a story that will leap off the pages and suck you in . Oh and don't worry there is a lot of steam in this book that will melt your kindle.  So hang on for a ride that will have you flipping pages all night long . This could be read as a stand alone but if you want to get to know all the characters check out the CURSED BY BLOOD series . If you want to read Dominic and Belinda check out CONDEMNED  you will not be disappointed . A hot read for the summer .

GOOD TUESDAY EVERYONE

Good Tuesday all , today we are going to review THE PALM READER by Christopher Bowron

                            BOOK BLURB

Jackson Walker once again faces his demons in this haunting sequel to Devil in the Grass. Now working as an investigative lawyer for Peter Robertson, Jack teams with Janie Callaghan to solve the disappearance of a sleazy client specializing in taboo pornography. Meanwhile the evil head of the Church of Satan weaves an intricate web to lure Walker as the sacrificial lamb in an Everglades Black Mass ritual.

                         MY REVIEW
This book is the sequel to the authors first book , Devil in the Grass , but it can be read as a stand alone . This book is a great read, Jackson is now working for a lawyer as an investigator . He gets a case which kind of turns his stomach , when he has to find the client after he disappears . As they enter the world of taboo pornography they don't realize there is an evil man from Jackson's past. Ther head of a church of Satan setting up Jackson to become the sacrificial lamb in a black mass ritual
The story well written and the characters are so well written . Jackson Walker is a character that is very complex . He has gone through so much and has come through it . Now he is well adjusted and but there are things that he has in his past and his childhood .  He is a good guy and there is more to him then meets the eye .  There is a magic to him . Nathanial Walker , gramps . is a shaman and is a very pivotal part in the book . He is a tough old man who is more then just a man .   They are strong men in their own rights .  Jacks nemesis Mason Matye is pure evil .  You can't like this man even if you tried .  Now Lolita is the best character in the book , she is hilarious but also kind of spooky at the same time . The way she acts its the best some of the one liners will make you giggle .
This is a fast read, I read it in an afternoon out at the lake . The author takes us on a roller coaster  ride .  The book is edgy and just a little on the creepy side. There are moments in this book that you honestly think of the possibility of it actually happening in the world . The plot isn't far fetched, it can happen in todays society . So if you want a book that has mystery . intrigue. murder and mysticism . This is the book for you , just sit back and enjoy you will not be disappointed .

Praise for Hero of Darkness:

It starts off with a bang and the pace never slows down. – K.V.
Pay attention and you just might discover that the story you thought you were reading is not the story you finish. – Amazon Review
What can you say about a book that grabs you from the very first page? You become a bit obsessed and read the whole book in like three days! – P.S.

In the Hero of Darkness Series:
Book 1: Darkblade Assassin (May 29th)
Book 2: Darkblade Outcast (June 5th)
Book 3: Darkblade Protector (June 19th)
Book 4: Darkblade Seeker (July 10th)
Book 5: Darkblade Slayer (August 7th)
Book 6: Darkblade Savior (September 4th)

                           MY REVIEW

This is the fourth book in the Darkblade series and it starts of with a bang .  The Hunter will do anything in his power to keep Haileen safe . He is literally hanging by his finger tips on the edge of a cliff on his way to find the Sage the worst demon yet . When he finds the Kara-ket and hopefully the cure for Haileen . Will Haileen and Hunter survive to get everything they need .

This book has taken the hunter to a new level . He has grown into more then an assassin . He has evolved into a protector of Haileen . He wants to get answers to help the young boy in his care . Don't get me wrong it is great to see the other side of the Hunter . But he does still have the assassin in him . When he comes across the Sage and the  War master . Two beings that are evil in different ways one is a sociopath and the other is a psychopath.   I think that my favourite character in this book is Haileen . He is such a sweet young boy who needs protecting but he also can calm the Hunter down . There are moments you want to wrap Haileen up and hug him tight and the next moment you are cheering him on.

This book has it all , the twists and turns will have you reading well into the night . The character are well written and complex. The story moves at a fast pace  and you will be hooked by the third page .  You will love the interaction between characters and there will be times that you will take the Sage's side cause you just don't know if he is a good guy or horrible . The twists and turns are great you will be on the edge of your seat through out most of this book . You will want to hug Haileen a few times and cheer the Hunter on through out the book . This series just keeps getting better and better with each story we see the Hunter evolving into more then an assassin . I suggest that you start at the beginning and read the series in order so you know what is happening and you see the Hunter grow and evolve . This series would be great for reading around the camp fire or the pool on those lazy days of summer

HAPPY HUMP DAY ALL

Happy Wednesday all today we are going to review a sexy new read by Naima Simone . SCORING THE PLAYER'S BABY (WAGS book 3)|

                            BOOK BLURB

After a divorce from her cheating football player ex, PR whiz Kim Matlock would rather drive a pine tree through her walled-off heart than work at the Seattle Wedding Expo. And the last thing she expects is to be grabbed and kissed breathless by a hot giant of a man looking to fend off a stalker. She doesn't want emotional entanglements, but she can't say no to one scorching night with the sexy stranger.
To her shock, she finds out afterward that a) he's a pro football player, aka her kryptonite, and b) she's pregnant.
But nothing could have prepared her for his response...
Each book in the WAGS series is STANDALONE:
* Scoring with the Wrong Twin
* Scoring Off the Field
* Scoring the Player's Baby

                       MY REVIEW
Ronin is hot as sin , Kim is sweet and a force to be reckoned with in the bridal world . When a chance meeting and a kiss that would curl anyone's toes . What do they do after a hot night in the sheets . Well after she finds out she is pregnant . What is a girl to do with a hot sexy football player and a baby on the way .
This is the third book in the series and I am going to say that Ronin and Kim are my favourite couple . They both are flawed with loves from the past . Kim has been hurt by men in her life . She has worked hard and has come a long way . She is feisty but also really compassionate . She also has walls built around her heart from a cheating ex husband . Enter Ronin man he is sexy and when he enters a room people stop and listen and look at him . But there is an underlining hurt that he just can't shake . He is doing everything for the memory but he just can't come to love someone again. Them as a couple are hot , they are really good together . But like with all good relationships there is misunderstandings and awkward moments .
The author takes us on an emotional journey through out this book . You really get to see the characters at their best and their worst .There is a lot of emotional scenes in this book . Especially the scene where Ronin lays it all bare for Kim about his past . I had cried through out this book  the author ripped out my heart and stomped on it.. Then it was all repaired .  This can be read as a stand alone but if you want the whole show you should read the whole series . This would be a great hot little read by the pool this summer . So check it out .

The ranch, my family, our buried secrets.

Nothing will stop me from reassembling the life that went terribly wrong.
Not the law.
Not our enemies.
Not even Maybe Quinn.

The gorgeous, quarrelsome journalist shouldn’t have meddled.
I shouldn’t have let her stay.
But she’s hiding something in those deceptive blue eyes.
Something deeper than her thirst for a news story.

I make a deal with her to buy time.
To unravel her lies. To play with her. To satisfy my darker appetites.
When she buckles beneath my belt, I’ll send her away.
Unless I buckle first.

TRAILS OF SIN series (HEAs with no cliffhangers - must be read in order):
Knotted #1 - Jake and Conor
Buckled #2 - Jarret and Maybe
Booted #3 - Lorne and Raina

                        MY REVIEW
This is the second book in the series and I must say the series is just getting better and better . This is Jarret and Maybe's story .  Jarret the younger brother has secrets that he is keeping to himself . Secrets that her his brother and their best friend have done to save the ranch. But when Maybe comes on the scene things change and they want more then just a one night stand . When things get more complicated when hearts get involved . Will Jarrett and Maybe get their happily ever after . Or will secrets keep them apart.
I think that these characters are my favourite in this series . Jarrett is sweet but also so hot . He is a rancher and a very protective cowboy . He may come off cocky most of the time but deep down he just wants a love like his brother . A woman to call his own . There are parts in the book where you want to climb him like a spider monkey and the next moment you want to wrap him up in your arms and hold him tight . He is a manly man with a heart of gold . Maybe is a complicated character . She is hurting but also really strong and bull headed . She is a great character and fits nicely with Jarrett . Together they are hot hot hot . I will say though the best character in the book is Chicken and guys chicken isn't what you think it is . I am not going to say any more but chicken is a character that every good ranch needs .  Jake and Conor are back to lend support and just harass Jarrett.
This book had me hooked from the very first page . I love the twists and turns that the author takes us on through out this book . This is an enemies to lovers story which is a good fit for these characters . I would suggest you have a fan, a cold drink and a box of tissues beside you when you read this story. Your kindle will melt and you will weep at what the author puts these two through . The ending of the book will make you smile and fall in love again . This book will suck you in and take you away . I will say though read book one before you read this book so you will know exactly what is going on with all the characters . Now I can't wait for book three . I really want you to read this book this summer , well actually this series .  They will strip you raw and rip out your heart but I do promise the author will piece it back together again .

When the wicked come out to play, Rainy and Terry face a battle of good versus evil, but she can’t see how it will end. However, the price of losing is unacceptable. For if they do, the devil will claim their souls.

                        MY REVIEW
This is the second book in the Spirit voices series .  Meet  Terry Anderson and Rainy Stratton . Two very different people but find a love that will help them when evil comes out to play . They meet at a wedding of their best friends and have a pull towards each other. When Terry moves into his new house there is something evil in that house . Which will take Rainy and the rest of the family to the edge and back . Will they survive and will their love will bring them through.
This is more of a ghost story then the first book . The characters are well written and complex. I absolutely adore Rainy she is the calm in the storm . She is a coven leader and a wiccan high priestess . She exudes calm and serenity . But don't make her angry cause she will kick some butt. She is loyal and will help anyone out . You would really want her as your best friend . Terry is hmmmmm what can we say about our boy . He is an artist and a very lovable guy . He is also kind of insecure when it comes to Rainy . He does really come into his own battling the evil that is haunting him . There are moments when you want to wrap him up in a blanket and hug him tight . I truly loved these two they are so sweet together and you just can't help but wanting the best for them . The characters from book one also make an appearance .
I sat down and starting reading this book and before I knew it I was done . I got sucked in from the very first page . The author takes us on a journey through the unknown. There are twists and turns that will keep you reading . This is more of a ghost story then the first book .  The evil figure is truly evil and you see them battle it . It does get a little scary at times . I really like this authors writing , it is straightforward and concise and weaves such a fun story to read . This story is fast paced and very entertaining . You will fall in love with the characters all of them . So if you want a great read for by the pool this summer check out the SPIRIT VOICES SERIES  you will not be disappointed .

WELCOME TO THURSDAY

Good Thursday all , hope your week is going good . Today we are going to review BUTTERFLY SERENADE (O'Malley  brothers book one ) by Julianna Douglas

                            BOOK BLURB

Rose
Whore. Slut. Tramp.

I don’t want to believe the words, but they’re true. Having sex with strangers temporarily affords me the necessary control to quiet the demons from my nightmares. But each unfulfilling encounter leaves me more emotionally empty than before. I’m trapped in a dead, brown shell, unable to break free.

Until the day he walks into my life.

Colin is everything that's good and pure–a beacon of light to my dark, lost soul. His music is a soothing balm, warming long-frozen places inside me. His kindness disarms me, making me long for more. But to have more, I’d need to reveal the horrors of my past.

And I can’t tell anyone. It’ll tear me apart.

Colin
I’ve been waiting for her all my life.

From the moment I laid eyes her, I knew Rose was my soul mate. I’m drawn to her inner beauty and yearn to show her the love she’s never known. The pain reflected in her lovely amber eyes rouses emotions deep within me, stirring the music in my soul and making my fingers take flight over the keyboard.

But Rose is a woman holding closely guarded secrets.

More than my next breath, I want to quell the haunted look in her eyes ... heal her broken spirit and make her whole again. She doesn't believe that's possible. But I won't give up.

Not until she lets me love her–all of her.

Warning: Contains graphic descriptions of abuse that may distress some readers.

                      MY REVIEW
I will say that this book was a heart breaking book to read . The author really takes you on an emotional journey through heart breaking abuse to healing just a little . Rose has heard it all , the ugly names others call her . She tried to let it roll off her shoulders . Until the day she met Colin , the sweet young man that nearly ran her over on the stairs . The young man that helped her out . The one man that might be able to break through her barriers . But when they start to fall for each other will the trauma of Roses past break them apart or will Colin's love pull them through the darkness into the light .
This book has some really well written characters . The main characters are very complex . Rose is a young woman that has been through the worst things imaginable . You get a glimpse of it at the beginning . She is very self destructive and you kind of want to shake her a little . But as you dive deeper into the book , you really start to understand why she is doing what she is doing . You see her at her worst and you see her at her best . You will want to wrap here up in a warm blanket and just hug her . You don't realize the strength she has . Colin well what can we say about this young man . He is sweet beyond words  and sees something special in Rose that she can't see . He is patient and so kind , and kind of sexy in the all American boyfriend way . He knows that Rose is his soulmate but he has to get through to the sweet girl he sees .  Olivia is Roses best friend and the only person that knows what actually happened to Rose . She is a sweet girl but is also getting frustrated with Rose and her self destructive behaviour . There are so many good and evil characters that surround Rose and Colin . You will love them and want to hurt the evil people that hurt Rose .
This is a very emotional read, I actually had to put the book down and read something funny for a bit . The author takes us on an emotional journey with twists and turns .  I had a really ugly cry while reading this book . Trust me have a box of tissue with you while you read this one . My emotions run amuck during this read . One min I wanted to shake Rose and say open your eyes girl, then I wanted to wrap her up in my arms and hug her . Then you want to do some damage on all the people that hurt her .  This is a inspirational story of the power of healing and the power of love . The therapeutic aspects of this book are done with great care and realistic . The author did a great deal of research to get it accurate. I recommend this book to anyone should read if you want an ugly cry . Put this one on your summer reading list . But be prepared to cry and hug your children tight ,
