Welcome to Wednesday

You know you have too many books when you realize that you have a book that has been sitting in your tbr pile that you actually forgot about . Well that happened to me with this book . I had picked this book up awhile ago and was going to dive right into it well it got pushed to the side and I forgot about it . I feel like a dork cause I dived into the book and read it in one night . That book is BETRAYAL (Infidelity #1 ) by Aleatha Romig .

                            BOOK BLURB

One week. No future. No past. No more.

Alexandria Collins has one week to live carefree—no ghosts of her past or pressures of her future haunting her. Reinventing herself as "Charli," she is knocked off her feet by a sexy, mysterious man who brings her pleasure like she never imagined. With her heart at stake, she forgets that decisions made in the dark of night reappear in the bright light of day.

"Some of my tastes are unique. They aren’t for everyone. I understand that.”

Lennox "Nox" Demetri is wealthy, confident, and decisive--he knows what he wants. From the first time he sees Charli at an exclusive resort, he knows he wants her. Although he is usually the one to make the rules, together they agree on one:

One week. No more.

When betrayal comes from those closest to Alexandria, she must decide how far she is willing to go to survive. Choices are not always easy, especially when they involve the heart, body, and soul. After all, Infidelity is a business, and some rules are meant to be broken.

"Is it really cheating if you're doing it to yourself?"

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a sexy, new dominant hero who knows what he wants, and a strong-willed heroine who has plans of her own. With classic Aleatha Romig twists, turns, deceptions, and devotions, this new epic contemporary romance will have readers swooning one minute and screaming the next. Have you been Aleatha'd?

BETRAYAL is a full-length novel and the first of five in the INFIDELITY series.

This series isn't about cheating.

                        MY REVIEW
What would you do if you were offered a week to live carefree, no worries just fun and pleasure with a man who is sexy and is oh so built for sin. When they see each other Nox offers her the time of her life . But the only rule is for one week. Alas when it comes to affairs of the heart and soul things don't always go as planned . Will they come out with their hearts intacted or will they break the rules to have a life together .

Ladies grab your fans and start fanning yourself . Let me introduce you to Lennox , Nox Demetri , man he is oh so sexy and i will say ladies he is so built for sin. He is confident, wealthy and know what he wants .  There are moments you want to slap him and the next moment you want to climb him like a spider monkey .

Alexandra well she is the type of character you really just want to wrap up in a blanket and hug tight . She has her naive moments but when she runs into Nox , things really change and we watch her grow, she does start to get a back bone until she ends up with her parents house . Then we see a whole new Alexandra/ Charli,. These are good characters on their own but when they are together they are really great . I loved them as a couple .

Ok like I admited earlier I forgot I had this book and when i found it I was like wow I forgot about it . So I sat down and started reading , yes i read well into the night . I couldn't put the book down. Ther characters had me captivated , I truly liked both of them . The story had me turning pages all night long . This story has it all , rage , happiness , hopefulliness and yet you feel hopeless in some parts of the story. There is romance and oh so many good smexy times .  You will laugh, cry and throw your kindle . Don't throw your kindle ladies or you won't get to finish the story , The author takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride that will keep you reading all night long . This would be a great little read for your summer reading challenge. Great book to read at the beach

WELL IT IS MONDAY

Good Monday all, today I have a new book from one of my favourite authors . BLOOD FOR THE DANCER  by Dallas Mullican .

                           BOOK BLURB

Join an adventure through Heaven and Hell in the first thrilling volume of Dallas Mullican’s fantasy epic- The Horde and the Host Trilogy.

BLOOD FOR THE DANCER

Dying and trapped in pain, Dustan Wheaton cries out to Heaven… but it’s a demon who answers.

Salvation comes at a price. Dustan must become the demons’ most deadly assassin, slaying angels on earth before they can recruit mortal souls into a war that has raged for eons.

With the demons fanning his hatred, Dustan is eager to kill those he blames for ignoring his prayers and allowing his parents to die. He travels the world destroying his angelic enemies until sent to face a mysterious woman.

The Dancer is unlike any foe Dustan has encountered. He finds himself inexplicably drawn to her, and for the first time, he questions his orders. Her claim that his entire life has been a lie threatens to shatter lifelong beliefs and sows doubts about his demon family.

Trusting this woman will mean turning his back on those who saved him and gave his life purpose, not to mention place a target on his back for angels and demons alike. Doubting her could mean the end of all humankind.

                             MY REVIEW
Ok taking a deep breath is what you need to do when you dive into this book . What would you do if you prayed to the heavens for help for someone you love and the one that answers is a demon . But what he didn't know is that the salvation he needed comes with a heavy price . When they want him to become the demons most deadliest assasin . Which he does for eons until the one that he was sent to kill might be the one that will offer him the salvation that he needs to break free . When he puts his trust in her it  means turning his back on angels and demons but also doubting her could mean the end of all things .

Ok I loved the main characters in this book . Dustan a young man who is basically living in poverty with his mother , in London in 1862 . He is yout typical kid trying to survive . We see a spark in him that has him catch the eye a demon . He is a strong boy that grows into a very strong man . How can we explain him but as an assassin that follows what he has been taught . I like that the author had him rethinking his past life and the reasons why he is doing what he is doing .

Kyra is first an angel but she is also the one person that can turn Dustan . She is a warrior and when you first meet her she is fighting for her life . She is strong but also kind and she can fight like a man . I really like her she is such a fearless character.  There ar so many great characters in this book  too many great characters to mention which are all so well written and complex , you will all have your own that you will love .

This story had me by the end of chapter one . This is an action packed ride of emotion that will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through the book . The characters are so well written and complex , you really don't know if you should love them or hate them . This book starts in the 1860s up to modern day and it flows so well . The author has a way of writing that has you thinking as you read . I know i loved his detective novels but I seriously think that this could be my new go to series . Ah but you are going to say hey it is about Angels and Demons , how can you make that new and fresh. Well I think the author has done that very well . It is an intelligent well written story and the author does it with a flair that only he can do. So if you want an intelligent well written story of with the world of angels and demons and the ultimate redemption . This is the story for you add it to your summer reading list . I promise you , you will not be disapointed at all .

Secrets are revealed, solutions are presented, and promises are kept in this final chapter of the saga!

                  MY REVIEW
War is raging and the Meridonilas is lying in ruin as Kohl, Saya, Abra and Linah are heading to the island of Rubra to plead for the people of Meridonilas . But the men are called back to help defend the capital city and the women take matters into their own hands and band together to do a mission that will take them to places unknown . Secrets will be revealed and solutions will be put in place and the couples will have their happily ever after

The characters just keep getting better and in the last episode , you really get to see what Linah and Abra can do . They come out strong and resilient. They take on lots of different people and problems which they fight head on . The guys Kohl and Saya are battling their own demons saving the capital . I must say the character really became complex and are so well written . They are a really strong team this time . I really liked the characters in the past two book but in this book I truly fell in love with all of them .

The last book in the trilogy I believe is one of the better written books . The author has us on the edge of our seats the whole time . The twists and turns in this book are great . You will not put the book down until you are finished . There is a lot of action in this one .  I truly got lost in the story and loved the characters . So if you want a great series for the summer reading challenge . Add this series .

                        MY REVIEW
What do you do when you want to get out from the people that have labeled you . Lydia Mason just wants to break out from under her mother who is the mayor of the small town where they live .  Ethan was born on the wrong side of the tracks basically . No one in town wanted to associate with them . All he wanted to do come back and prove to everyone that he was much more then the poor kid from the outskirts . They will soon learn that the place they are trying to run away from is the exact place they need to be .

The characters in this story are well written . Ethan is well he is the kid that just wanted more out of his life . He is tall and sexy and can charm you right out of anything . But deep down inside though he is still the kid from the outskirts that just really wants to belong . Lydia is a little naïve because she has been living under her mother's shadow for her whole life . She just wants to get away and become her own person . As you dive into the book we see that Lydia actually grows and blossoms as the story goes along . She really comes into her own . She can really make Ethan think about what it means to be part of Sweet Blossom .
This is a sweet read and you get to see the characters fall in love slowly . The author has a knack of taking characters and letting them just fall in love naturally . This book can hit home for anyone who has wanted to get out from their past . It is  a fast read that would be great for an afternoon for the beach or pool side . So if you want a sweet read for your summer reading list check it out .

War was imminent. It was only a matter of time before it reached her lands.

While on her journey, an unfortunate incident leaves her fatally wounded and left for dead. Regaining consciousness, she finds herself in a bathhouse where she meets a charismatic smuggler named Saya.
Needing to blend in among the wealthy to sell ill-gotten gains, Saya proposes a scheme for he and Abra that will benefit them both. But the plan goes sour when passions ignite and vengeance rears its beautiful head.
Desperate to reverse a spell cast on him suddenly, Saya reaches out to Kohl, the one person in the Court of the Rising Sun that he knew could help.
Tensions are high and so are the stakes in this fantastic tale of love, loyalty, and fate.
The saga continues with Rogue!

                       MY REVIEW

With war on the horizon and a letter in hand Abra Arendel heads out to find the father that she has never known. On her way to find her father she is injured and left for dead . Waking up in a bathhouse she meets charismatic smuggler named Saya. Together they hatch a plan to fit into high society to sell his ill gotten goods . When a spell is cast on Saya he must  reach out to Kohl to help reverse it . The stakes are high and love is the prize .

I must say the characters in this story are well written . Saya well he will be your next book boyfriend . He is sexy and a cad . He can make you do almost anything .Abra is sweet and kind of naïve at the beginning of the book . She hasn't had an easy life and doesn't have a lot experience with men . But they are so good together and I loved them as a couple . Kohl is back to help out .

This is a fast read , I sat down and started reading . The characters are great and you will love them . The banter between them is so good it feels so real . In this book the author keeps us on the edge of our seats most of the time . It is a little be more intense then book one and you learn a lot more about the characters and the background of the impending war . I will say at the beginning it took me a little bit to get into Abra's story but once I got to chapter 2 it took off and I couldn't put it down . I say that you should put this series on your summer reading list . Great for the beach .

HAPPY RELEASE DAY ALEATHA

Yes I know I am late today but I have ha    d a busy day on the farm . Foal born and garden planting . Today is release day for Aleatha Romig 's new book TWISTED ( Tangled web book one )

                            BOOK BLURB

The underworld of Chicago is far from forgiving. It’s a world where knowledge means power, power money, and money everything.
While I paid the ultimate price to have it all, it wasn’t my decision to give my life..
That doesn’t mean I ceased to exist, only to live.
Going where the job takes me and living in the shadows, with deadly accuracy I utilize the skills inherent to me, not knowing from where they came, not recalling what I’d lost.
And then I saw her.
Laurel Carlson.
I shouldn’t want her, desire her, or need her, yet with each sighting I know she is exactly what I have to have. Laurel has the ability to do what I thought was impossible. She sees what others don’t.
My gut tells me that it’s a deadly mistake to change my plans and open my world to her. My mind says she’ll be repulsed by my twisted existence.
None of that matters, because my body won’t take no for an answer.
I’ve made dangerous mistakes before.
This time, will the price be too high?

From New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a brand-new dark romance bringing us back to the same dangerous underworld as SECRETS. You do not need to read the Web of Sin trilogy to get caught in this new and intriguing saga, Tangled Web.

TWISTED is book one of the TANGLED WEB trilogy which will continue in OBSESSED and conclude in BOUND.
Have you been Aleatha’d?
                         MY REVIEW
What do you do when the underworld and the world of science comes crashing into each other . Kader is on the job to stop the trials of the drug she and her lab partner are working on. But when he sees Laurel he has a change of mind and tries to save her .  Will they be able to come together and find out who wants the research and to end her life .

Wow is all I can say about these characters . They are complex and oh so well written . Kader well he is oh so sexy and such and alpha , but you can feel that there is a pain that he hides and there is so much more to him then meets the eye . He thinks he is broken and ladies trust me you will want to fix him over and over and over again . Laurel well she is sweet and honestly she is not one for the lime light . She would rather work then hob nob with potential investors .  I truly liked her and the combination of sweet but with a spine of steel . They are great characters and are so engrossing and when they are together the sparks fly.

Well I couldn't put this book down , I couldn't put the book down . The author takes us on such a roller coaster ride . I was on the edge of my seat the whole time . I couldn't put the book down . I needed to know what Kader was going to do and you really want to wrap Laurel up in a blanket and tell her that everything will be ok.  There is a lot more intrigue and mystery to this story . A little change for the author and she does it very well . I can't wait for book 2 in the series .  So add this series to your e reader for your summer reading list . You will not be disappointed one bit

ITS MERMAID DAY TODAY

Welcome to MERMAID Monday . Today I have another great book from the always funny Robyn Peterman and her fourth book in the Sea Shenanigans series  MADISON'S MESS

                                    BOOK BLURB

What could possibly go wrong when a Mermaid and a Werewolf are sent on a dangerous mission by the drunken, diaper-wearing God of the Sea?

Better question. What could possibly go right?

Madison
Unlike my sisters, I haven’t found my HEA. And I’m looking—hard. But finding a man who wants to blowhole dive in Hawaii on the first date is more difficult than you might imagine. I’ve been forced to settle for a few meaningless orgasms with men who disappear when I suggest fun activities, like scaling twenty stories while blindfolded.

Look, I know meaningless nookie won’t help me find my happily ever after, or even a guy who believes tightrope handstands over the Grand Canyon are fun. But there is someone out there for me so next time I do the horizontal mambo, it’s for keeps.

May the gods help me. Well, me and whoever I boink next.

Rick
Being a Vegan Werewolf has its drawbacks. I’ve been exiled from my pack and even the petting zoo of deer, rabbits and raccoons I keep safely tucked away from my fellow Weres isn’t enough to banish the loneliness I feel. Talking to myself is becoming dangerous. Just two days ago out of stupefying boredom, I made a wager with myself that I could fly. It didn’t end well.

Thankfully Poseidon is sending me on a mission. Unfortunately, it’s with a crazy Mermaid who has a worse reputation for death defying recreation than me.

I have no clue what’s in store, but may the gods help me. Well, me and this swimming hottie, because I’m totally down.

                         MY REVIEW
Life on the island is ok for Madison but she wants more . She wants to go on epic but deadly adventures . Where there are more risks and dangers the better . But alas island life is anything but adventerous . Until Posiden gives her a mission that will defy all things . Rick is offered the same mission and can't wait to start . They are a pair meant to be together . Will the mission keep them on track or will their love of danger keep them from fulfilling the mission .
OMG  I will say this these characters are hilarious and written so well. Madison well she is the daredevil of the sisters . She would love to go skydiving without a parachute or go blow hole diving . She is sassy and sarcastic and funny as all heck . She is someone you really want to be friends with cause you would be the sane one of the pack . Now Rick what can we say about a sexy werewolf , well there is one thing he is also an andrenaline junkie who is also vegan . Yes i said vegan , yeah yeah yeah I know you are thinking what the heck a vegan werewolf .  He matches the craziness of Madison so well . He has the sex appeal and all the death defying antics that would make any woman swoon . Trust me these characters are so fun to read . They so belong together. We also meet a couple of new characters Neville i so want my own Neville . He is a sweet not so human baby that actually steals the show through out the book . I totally adore all the characters in this story .
This book had me laughing so hard all the way through . This story is has it all , sexy mermaids and werwolves a baby to protect oh and a few well timed stabbings in the butt for upsetting said baby. Like  I said it had it all, you will laugh so hard tears will be rolling down your cheeks . This book is a fun fast read that will keep you entertained for an afternoon . You get to be taken away for awhile and loose yourself in the pages of a good story . I would definetly add this book to your summer reading list . Enjoy this book by the pool or at the beach and fall in love with a mermaid and a vegan werewolf. You won't be disappointed .

HAPPY SATURDAY ALL

Well it is Saturday and it is cold and dreary out on the farm today so its a really good day to curl up and read . I have a good book for your weekend reading CHEVALIER ( The Paragon Trilogy book one ) by Bree M Lewandoski.

                          BOOK BLURB

Linah Morane, a well-known woman of Meridionalis has been scorned and taunted her entire life due to her abnormalities. After the humiliation of being abandoned at the altar, she humbly accepts the unexpected marriage proposal to the King's Vizier, Kohl. Her heart still fluttered each time she fondly remembered their first and only dance together.
The depth in her eyes was emphasized by the rare hue of cerulean that peered into his soul. Those eyes had stopped the very beating of Kohl's heart. He had fallen in love with her that very moment. Over the years, her poise and grace to overcome the whisperings were admirable on a royal level. Then fate arrived and Kohl lept at the opportunity to have Linah as his bride.
Seeking safety for his wife after learning of impending war, they journey through the forests and mountain caves until Kohl is mortally wounded.  Linah turns to the Nightingale Queen and her gift of healing for help, but is unaware of the damaged past the Nightingale Queen and her husband share.
Secrets are exposed and loyalties shift in this thrilling tale of love and war!

                             MY REVIEW
When LInah Morane is left at the alter on her wedding day . She humbly accepts the marriage proposal from Kohl the kings Vizier. She rememebers the one time they danced together . Kohl had fallen in love with her with that one dance. Over the years he has watched and fallen for her over and over . Her poise and grace were something of beauty and that alone over came the whispers of the court Then fate arrived and Kohl had the woman of his dreams . But there is war coming to the kingdom and together they must over come a lot . When LInah turns to the Nighingale Queen . She doesn't know the  past the two share .

The characters in this book are so well written and complex. Linah has carried herself quite well even though she has a few deformities . But with Kohl she feels beautiful and wanted .  First off she comes off naive but as you see her through out the book she really grows strong and actually blossoms through out the book . Kohl well he is more then just the Vizier . He is sweet and oh so sexy but there is also a paranormal element to him that makes him stronger and faster then most people .  He is the kind of guy you want to have your back when push comes to shove . I mean he does have his flaws though like sending his bride to a spot where she coudl be attacked by incoming enemy troops but all is good . The characters are great on their own but together they are pretty awesome . There are a few characters that they meet and either help them or try and kill them a time or two

I sat down and started reading this book in the evening, I couldn't put it down . Its a fun little read that will have you reading until you are done . There is a rollercoaster ride of emotions that go on while you read this book.  You will have to laugh and wipe a tear away . There is just one thing I wish it was just a little longer to really get into the characters and the story . Over all i really enjoyed this story and  I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series . So if you want a great fantasy book that  you can read in an afternoon poolside  I say put this one on your summer reading list .

WELCOME TO FRIDAY

Welcome to Friday and I have the second book in Daughters of the Moon series . ARAPHEL by Matthew S Cox .

                            BOOK BLURB

Sometimes, the best thing a girl has to look forward to is killing someone.

When she learned the truth behind her father’s death, Risa Black thought she’d given up on revenge. After an unknown enemy takes the life of someone dear to her, revenge is all that keeps her going. While hunting for the assassins, she uncovers a web of espionage and deceit that destroys her sense of everything she knew. Her idealism tarnished, her drive to free Mars from Earth gives way to something more personal: the need to protect a child.

It soon becomes clear she’s in over her head. Consumed by the sorrow of loss, she accepts a mission from the Martian Liberation Front, not caring it’s a one-way ticket. Desperate to uncover the truth hidden behind all the lies, she hopes to find answers in a place that should not exist: Araphel.

The home of the angel Raziel.

                            MY REVIEW
When you loose someone dear to you what do you do . Revenge is all that Risa Black can think of. Risa is all about trying to find out the assassins that killed her dear friend . But when a child becomes involved all her revenge goes to the way side and all she can think about is protecting this child . Then the assignment comes up that she does because she is over come and isn't thinking right . All she wants is answers but she might not find them but it could cost her, her life .

The characters in the second book are most definitely getting more and more complex. Risa has lost it all in the first book and we see that at the beginning of this book . She is lost and ready do dangerous things . Its like she has given up . Then we see her grow a bit after she finds Kree . She goes into protective mode and will do almost anything to keep her safe .She is like a fighting machine ready to take down anyone that come anywhere near the child .  She is getting stronger and stronger towards the end of the book . She is just a fighting machine.  Kree is well she is a sweet child that is hiding something horrible . She clings to Risa and doesn't want to let her go . I just wanted to wrap her up and hug her tight and tell her everything will be ok .  We also get introduced to Saris and Chaia . They are so fun to read .   I truly love all these characters they really grow on you,

I will say when I sat down to read this book I was wondering how Risa was going to take the death of her friend . The author picked up where the first book left off and it took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. There were parts of the book where I was just wanting to take all the characters and wrap them up in fuzzy blankets and hug them all tight and tell them life will be ok .  This was a faster read then in book one . There is a lot more action and it will hold your attention all the way through. I will just tell you to do up your seat belt when you start reading this book cause it will blow you away . I was on the edge of my seat most of the time through out this book . So if you like sci fi with a dash of cyber punk check out this series for your summer reading list

                       MY REVIEW
This is a volume of short stories and fan fiction . It introduces us to all the cities of Toonopolis and the characters that inhabit them .
We start off with Where Do our ideas go which is a fun cute read that will have you thinking about the concept of creation and what to do with it .  Then we go to the Misanthrope Beechworth & The Dustwaste .  Where we are taken on a grand adventure through Steamport .  Each story is well written and the characters are well thought out and complex .

When I started reading this book I was wondering what the author was going to do . As I read I really got involved with each area of Toonopolis . The author shows us the diversity of each area of Toonopolis . Each story had a moral behind it but it never got preachy in any way . The author handled it with laughter and smiles . I still really say that these books need to be in comic form  It would be fun to see the characters in comic form as they go through their stories . I think my all time favourite story is THE GRAVE LITTLE TOASTER . I  mean who doesn't want to summon a demon from their toaster. You have to read the story to find out what I am talking about . I laughed so hard through that one  This is another great book for your kids summer reading list . Add it to the list .

                          MY REVIEW
Addie and her cousins are back and its just before Christmas . Jack, Bodie and Beanie are back to help out . This book takes the gang back to the Garden of Choice this time to help Gemma . After receiveing a strange letter from a young girl in China asking Addie to come back and help Gemma. They gladly go but will they be able to find their way back and will they be able to help Gemma before its too late .

The gang is back and just as cute as ever . Addie takes the lead and helps the cousins through the perils of being a kid .  She is sweet and brave and oh so kind . She is fearless though out the whole book . I truly like her she is such a great leader .  Jack and Bodie seem to grow up just a little in this book . They become a fearless heros that will help Addie out so much . Beanie well i just love him he is sweet and innocent and just wants to make sure he is home for Christmas .  Gemma is a force to be reckoned with she is tough and sweet and Addie's best friend . There are a few new characters that we meet and you will like them or not . But all the characters are very well written

This is the second book in the series and i enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed the first one . Yes i know it is written for children but I really liked it . It was a nice sweet read that will have your kids on the edge of your seats the whole time they are reading . The characters are well written and sweet . You will like them also . WELCOME TO TUESDAY

Welcome to Tuesday all , today I have another new to me author Jeremy Rodden and his first book TOONOPOLIS GEMINI ( Toonopolis Files book one )

                            BOOK BLURB

Toonopolis is a cartoon city that is home to the thoughts and ideas of all sentient beings in the universe. As the center of the Tooniverse, it acts as an other-worldly rest stop for these creations.

Gemini is a teenage human boy who is thrust into Toonopolis through his father's scientific research program. He loses part of himself in the process and immediately begins a quest to regain his lost memories with the help of his Tooniverse guide named Jimbob the Talking Eggplant.

After an altercation with a mysterious Shadowy Figure, Gemini's mission is changed, an he begins a new quest to defeat Shadowy Figure and protect Toonopolis from his nefarious destruction. Along the way, he meets new friends, discovers just how diverse and strange Toonopolis is, and learns lessons about compassion, forgiveness, redemption, and being true to oneself.

                            MY REVIEW
Toonopolis is a town in the Tooniverse that is created by all the thoughts and ideas of all beings in the universe. Gemini is well lets say thrust right into the middle of Toonopolis . Where he looses part of himself and starts out to find that missing part with his Tooniverse guide Jimbob the talking eggplant . Yes people i said talking eggplant . But after running into a shadowy figure his quest has changed to find the shadow figure . Along the way he meets new friends and finds out how diverse Toonopolis actually is .

Oh my goodness how do describe these characters. They are fun and complex . Gemini a young teenager who is quirky and wants to help, he is like the quaint essential teen ager of the past . He really wants to help out while in Toonopolis he seems to grow up a little . He comes out as being a hero of the story . He finds that there are more important things in life like friends and family . With each visit to each city he finds out more and more about Toonopolis . I really liked him . Now lets talk JImbob omg i have never laughed so hard as soon as i found out he was a talking eggplant . He was like jimney cricket on Gemini's shoulder sometimes and other times he is getting Gemini in trouble . There are so many other characters that you will love . They all add to each village in Toonopolis and try and teach a lesson or two on the way .

OMG I would love to see this in comic form . The story is hilarious and the characters are so much fun to read . I read this book in an evening I couldn't put it down , i was turning pages for like over an hour . The author takes us on a fun filled ride through a town and an universe that every kid would love to visit . There is throw backs to good ole saturday morning cartoons with this book . You will laugh hysterically and cheer for Gemini and Jimbob . I strongly suggest that you get your kids to read this book on their summer reading list . They will love it and so will you .

WELCOME TO MONDAY

Well its back the dreaded MONDAY  today I have a new to me author Jane Suen and her 2 book series . FLOWERS IN DECEMBER and COMING HOME .

BOOK ONE                 BOOK BLURB

Readers’ Favorite gave FLOWERS in DECEMBER five-stars. “Someone who knows what it's like to lose a parent will find a lot to relate to in this book.”

A MAN GOES HOME TO BURY HIS MOTHER BUT FINDS HIMSELF.

Connor Norton returns to his hometown, following the death of his mother, knowing that he will have to confront personal feelings of guilt and regret. It is a place he has barely set foot in for the past 20 years.

Caught in the period of his life where the vibrancy of youth has diminished and the prospect of becoming middle-aged is looming, Connor finds that he is suddenly alone in the world and must somehow reshape his future and face his own mortality.

With only Tom, the family’s orange tabby cat, as his constant companion, he considers new possibilities and new directions. But will Connor be able to lay the ghosts of his past to rest? And will his return later, to the place he once called home, be enough to let him break free from the remorse which he has carried since he was 18?

In this tender, heartwarming portrait of a man who finds himself trapped between his past, his present and the future, where will this new journey lead Connor and what will the future hold when he gets there?

                        MY REVIEW
When Connor comes home to bury his mother , he finds more then just the memories of his mother . He finds himself in the process .. Through the friends and family that surrounds him and helps him through .
The characters in this book are well sweet and kind . Conner is well he is just a guy who works hard and hasn't been home . He is wracked with guilt over things that have happened .  Eva and Mary anne are sweet characters that come and help him . My favourite character is Tom the family cat he is just well a cat .
This is a sweet story about a man that finds himself through sorrow . I did like this book and yes there is a but coming . I honestly can tell you that I really didn't dislike this story but there are parts of the  book that came off really naïve and other parts of the book that had great potential .  Its a very short book so there is potential to build on the characters and the story line  Over all I did enjoy the story and the characters .and it would be a good beach read for you summer reading list .

                        MY REVIEW

In book two its has been 4 months since Conner left for the city with Tom.  Its Christmas eve and all Conner wants is to spend time with Tom and just grieve for his mother  when he runs into the estranged daughter of his mom's neighbour, Alana who is back in town to heal the rift between her and Dottie. Mary Ann has it going on right now her floral shop is doing great and she want more but the one she wanted has left her for 4 months and she is moving on . Here is to hope love and second chances .

The characters in the second book are getting better  They don't come off as naïve as they did in the first book . Also other characters are up front and taking charge in this book . Alana is the young girl from next door but she has had a hard past so you can feel it. and Mary Ann actually has a big part in this book also . She is torn between two men , the man Ron who was around for as long as she can remember and the man, Conner who just up and left her . You really see her grow in this book .

The author ties this story in with the wonderfulness of Christmas .I will say I did like this story a lot more then book one . Yes there is a but coming , I just wish the author would evolve the characters more . There is so much more that the author could do with the characters and also the Christmas season . I did like the story line and I do love Christmas . This is a very fast read good for the beach so if you want a fast read check it out .

Over all I did enjoy these books and would like to say if you are looking for a fast summer read you can add these to your summer reading list
