HAPPY THURSDAY

Wow it Thursday and July 1st , Canada day here . Today I have for you the first book in the Cadillac Holland mystery series . BLOWBACK by H. Max Hiller

                              BOOK BLURB

Every story needs a beginning. The story of Louisiana State Police Detective Cadillac Holland's legend began with what should have been a simple fugitive case. It's hard to find a man who doesn't want to be found, and harder still when you're convinced bringing him in is a death sentence. Detective Holland doesn't win any friends when he decides solving the case is the only way to find the fugitive and the justice he deserves. Detective Holland is building a reputation for leaving a trail of unintended consequences in his path, but he will always get his man.

                          MY REVIEW

Every story has to start somewhere and this is Detective Cadillac Hollands first case . What should of been a simple case of finding a fugitive is getting harder by the minute . The man just doesn't want to be found and when you start to rethink bringing him in might get him killed and noone wants to help him out . Just might get him and the man he needs to bring in killed. He will get his man one way or another .

Ok we get to finally see Holland's first case and how he became such a great detective . Welcome to New Orleans and the case that started it all . Cadillac is a very complex man who spent time in military intelligence and that makes for a detective with some really great instincts . He has a great group of people to help him out through out the case. Tony is his best friend and they were together in Bagdad together . He is really like Cadillac's sounding board when it comes to figuring everything out.

This is a prequel to the series and we get to see the characters at the beginning . The author takes us on a wild ride that will have you thinking the whole way through. The author throws us so many twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat . The author did a great job mixing the main characters past and present together seamlessly . I love a great mystery and this one did not disappoint at all. So if you want a good read for you summer reading list check it out .
