  Giovani is the son of a mafia dom in New Orleans , where his family is the head of the mob in of all places New Orleans . An off shoot of the Machetti's in Chicago. When his father sends him to look over their new acquisitions a strip club called Dangerous Curves . Where he meets a very alluring woman named Lola aka Carly. He is instantly attracted to her but there is more to it than that. He is attracted to the woman who can be a handful but is great at the managers job and actually gets under his skin in a good way.  Carly is a tough as nails woman who puts her son first and her friends ahead of a lot of things. When her son is sick and rushed to the hospital she finds solace and happiness in the arms of this Adonis of a man with a past that will shock you . As they navigate the relationship things come up that could break them up but they . Together they will realize that they belong together and a tragedy will bring them together . 

Gio and Carly are such a cute couple . Gio is built like a greek god with brooding eyes and a body that will not stop. He is in perfect control of everything around him. He is controlling but not in a evil way. He actually falls first and really does a great deal to win over Carly.  He is really there to help Carly and love her like noone else could . Carly is a tough as nails woman who has been working hard since she was sixteen and pregnant with her son. She has scraped by and worked hard and the job wasn't the best. She is scared of falling in love again. Gio is the one man who hopefully can break through the walls and finally get Carly to open up and fall in love again. 

  This is one of those books that is a slow burn, with characters that have flaws but love each other in spite of those flaws . This author really puts the time and effort into her characters and the story lines . I really like this author and her writing . The plot does move a little slow at times but over all it is a great story with great characters and a good story line . So if you want a slow burn read for your fall evenings check it out.
