Its gettng closer to christmas
Good morning all it Dec 22 only three days till Christmas . Today I am reviewing KILLER CHRISTMAS by Harper Lin
BOOK BLURB
MY REVIEW
Grab a cup of hot chocolate a snuggling blanket and get read for a cute Christmas read. Meet Emma Wild. A Grammy award winning singer and song writer. She is heart broken after breaking up with her movie star boyfriend. She heads home to Hartfield Ontario to her family for Christmas. Where there is an attempt on her life and a murder of another Emma . As Emma finds out the love of her life is now a police detective signed to the case. As they work through the case they work out the reasons why they broke up and rekindle their romance.
This is the first book in the series and is a cute light Christmas read. The characters are believable they are flawed in a way that makes you care for them. Its a great hometown read . That is based in Canada, which is awesome all on their own. The romance is there but it isn't on the forefront. There is hints of it through out the book . But it more of a mystery and intrigue. Emma become a detective to help out .
The reader takes us on a very sweet ride in small town romance. The only thing wrong is there is a big cliff hanger. Other then that its a great evening read full of mystery, suspense and full of surprises
Check it out , if you like mystery combined with a little laughter check it out . Have an awesome Christmas read

good thursday all
Welcome to Thursday. It is getting closer and closer to the big day, I think I am ready but we will see. I hope you all have books on your Christmas list . I know I do . Here is a book that you might want to add MERITOPOLIS by Joel Ohman
BOOK BLURB
The year is AE3, 3 years after the Event. Within the walls of Meritropolis, 50,000 inhabitants live in fear, ruled by the brutal System that assigns each citizen a merit score that dictates whether they live or die. Those with the highest scores thrive, while those with the lowest are subject to the most unforgiving punishment--to be thrust outside the city gates, thrown to the terrifying hybrid creatures that exist beyond.
But for one High Score, conforming to the System just isn't an option. Seventeen-year-old Charley has a brother to avenge. And nothing--not even a totalitarian military or dangerous science--is going to stop him.
Where humankind has pushed nature and morals to the extreme, Charley is amongst the chosen few tasked with exploring the boundaries, forcing him to look deep into his very being to discern right from wrong. But as he and his friends learn more about the frightening forces that threaten destruction both without and within the gates, Meritropolis reveals complexities they couldn't possibly have bargained for...
MY REVIEW
If you loved The Village and The Hunger Games. You will like this book. This story has people living behind the walls and all given a number. Based on their intelligence, strength and so on. If your score is low, you are called diseased and zeroed out . Which means you are thrown out the gate and left out there to die . Our main character Charley had his older brother zeroed when Charley was only 8 yrs old . All because he had downs syndrome. As Charley grew up he worked hard but he has a little issue with anger management. He is really turned off by the system but has to keep up the façade of the system . He has a brother to avenge and a young girl to try and save .
I liked this book, the author takes us to a place where being different is not an option. You must conform to survive. When I was reading I was totally sucked in. The author has written a story where the good guys aren't not always good and the bad guys sometimes aren't as bad as you think.
They are just flawed people that are being basically held captive by a system that just wants the strongest and the best of the best. You will fall in love Charley and all the characters. Oh yeah and there are no love triangles or scenes in this story. Of course there is some flirting but no love scenes . There is more important things going on like surviving .
This a fast paced book and the author puts a lot of detail into the story, I mean who would of ever thought of mutant animals . You have to read about those guys . I loved them.
The only thing that I wish the author would of done is give us a little bit of the background on the event. That would of made a little more sense why they were living behind the walls .
Over all I really like this book. I can't wait for book 2 to come out. So if you or your teens loved . HUNGER GAMES,THE VILLAGE OR DIVERGENT . You should give this book a try. You will not be disappointed . So put Meritropolis by Joel Ohman. You won't be disappointed

MY REVIEW
I honestly can't believe that this is Tiffany's first book. I got instantly hooked. I started reading this book and lost all track of time . I couldn't put it down. I am thinking Neeko could be my next book boyfriend. Sigh ok now back to the review . Neeko is an immortal who when he sees Gabby knows that she is true mate. But he is immortal and she is human, how can he be in love with a human and he has to protect her and at the same time prove to her that she is his mate.
I had so much fun reading this book , I mean the men in this book alone will put some colour in your cheeks and a skip in your heart. You can feel the steam rising from this story as you read it . Trust me Neeko and Gabby can so heat up the pages. Had me blushing there a couple of times . So not wanting to give away any spoilers but Neeko does everything in his power to show Gabby what love truly is and that she is truly his mate. The special dates in places that she always wanted to go were so awesome , there is no other word to describe them . Trust me Neeko and Gabby will pull at your heart strings . Then the twist towards the end had me in tears and I was in utter shock.
The author did a great job telling us Neeko and Gabby's story. You can feel all all the pain and pleasure. This isn't your normal paranormal romance , it grabs you from the very first page and will take you on a roller coaster ride. The twists and turns that Tiffany puts into the book are great. You can see that she cares for her characters and what happens to them . So if you want a different paranormal romance book . Please check out MISSING PIECES . I know you will enjoy it . Get it soon and book two comes out early 2015.

MY REVIEW
This book blew me away . I couldn't put this book down. This is the true life story of Adnan Alisic.
A young man from Bosnia . Who has demons that he is trying to get away from. So he heads to Phoenix Arizona . He finds that gambling is his way of beating stress. But when he runs up a big gambling debt and gets chucked out of the casino. He goes and devises as plan to get back at the casino and at the same time pulling off the biggest casino heist.
This is a very honest and raw true to life crime story. The author takes us from the streets of Bosnia to the casinos in Phoenix with such an honest and almost heart wrenching take on things. You have a boy from Bosnia that comes to America gets the American dream. But to loose it all at the casino. Well then you realize it there is an ocean eleven grand theft from the casino. Now don't tell me that doesn't get your motor running. Will they get caught or will they get away scot free.
You easily fall in love with the main character , you want to hug him, then there are times when you want to shake him to see if there are marbles in his head . That's what makes him so likeable .
So if you are looking for a great book with some great raw emotion, with a true to life story line please check out this book . The emotions you will go through is unbelievable. This would be a great gift to give the reader in your life. Check it out

good friday everyone
Good Friday all . sorry I haven't been around much this week , the Christmas rush is on and was busy well you know. So seeing as it is Friday and getting close to Christmas . I am decided to start my Christmas book reviews a little early . Today I am reviewing THE CHRISTMAS VIOLIN by Buffy Andrews
BOOK BLURB
A widower, a grieving mother and a homeless woman have one thing in common – a cemetery.
Willow, a concert violinist, begins each morning by playing her son the lullaby she wrote for him at his tomb. The melody enchants Peter during his daily visit to his wife’s grave. The homeless woman, who finds refuge in the cemetery, is equally drawn to the haunting music.
Like a violin concerto, the story unfolds in three movements, unexpectedly intertwining the fates of these characters.
MY REVIEW
Well this book had me bawling by the time I was finished with it.
The author entwines the stories of three unlikely people , a husband mourning the loss of his wife from cancer . A woman who is blaming herself for her son's death. Then there is the homeless woman , who in my mind is an undercover angel. She is there at the right times and takes care of the two of them. Trust me the opening scene alone will bring tears to your eyes .
The author writes this story in a different way instead of chapters
she has labeled each section in movements , just like a concerto . Each movement written with such a intensity. You are swept away
You get swept up in the lives of these three characters . Peter who lost his wife to cancer and Willow who is mourning the loss of her son. She shows up everyday to his grave to play for him. The characters take on a life of their own and you can't stop falling for them and caring for them . You want them to come out of the darkness and find the light. You want them to find love and happiness again, cause you know that they deserve to be loved again.
The book was great but a couple of things jumped out at me , the whole page description of the box of life cereal , I believe could of been shorter. Other then that the book was a great Christmas read.
The over all feel of the book is that even in the darkest times of our lives . There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We can overcome what life throws at us .
So if you want a good Christmas read that will make you feel the love and maybe make you want to hug your husband and your kids . This is the book for you . So check it out

MY REVIEW
This is the sequel to WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES . This is Clay and Nancy's story. All the characters are back from the first book and centers around Clay and Nancy. Clay is a rock star that could have his choice of women and has bedded his share of them. But lately he has been feeling empty and when he takes a break from touring he goes to hang with his brother Bruce and his best friend Lily. Where he sees Nancy, Lily's friend and assistant. She is what his heart is looking for , but as usual he fights it and she resists his usual bad boy charms , Everyone in this book is falling in love , oh even Barney. Now if you remember from the first book, you will remember Barney. The big lovable dog that helps all of them. He even falls in love with a bird of all things. It is the cutest thing . Yes I have a thing for Barney . I want him in my life.
But as with all falling in love stories there is always the one thing that might tear those lovers apart. That is Max, Lily's ex husband, who just will not go away. He has blown through all his settlement from Lily, and he wants more. To help fuel his drug habit , he will do anything to get at Lily. Will not say anymore about what will happen there cause it will be a spoiler for you . But I will say Barney is a hero.
Ms Wolters is such a talented writer. She takes us on a great ride that will have you crying and laughing and cheering when you read. This was such a great sequel. I fell in love with all the characters and love every second of the book. Especially the LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE wedding of Martha and Sam. I will say the end of the book will have you crying tears of joy. I know I balled like a baby. Oh yeah Sandy mixes in a little paranormal into this story. Which in my humble opinion worked so wonderfully with the whole story line.
This is a fast paced wonderful read that takes you on a joy ride. It is full of love, a family values and a good dose of laughter. Especially with Barney and Thelma Lou who could not fall in love with those two. They steal the show some of the time. Again Sandy has outdone herself , I want to know where she will take us next. So if you want a great set of books to read this holiday season check out
both books WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES and the sequel ANOTHER DOOR OPENS . I will say this for a fact that you will not be disappointed
AND NOW FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT. MEET BARNEY AND THELMA LOU

COVER REVEAL FOR NINA MASON'S NEW BOOK
Today I have the honor to do the cover reveal for Nina Mason's new book THE DEVIL IN DUKES CLOTHING
SO HERE WE GO
If you want to watch the trailer for this awesome book
Duke in Devil's Clothing is a highly erotic historical romance set in Scotland during the Restoration Period (1680). The book features voyeurism, bondage, flagellation, and a voyeur menage. It will be released in mid-January (I'm aiming for Saturday the 17th) and will be the first in a trilogy titled Royal Pains, which will feature the Duke and Duchess of Dunwoody.
SO HERE WE GO
BOOK BLURB
Maggie York, a convent-raised foundling, knows the Duke of Dunwoody’s sexual tastes are a shade or two darker than normal, but marries him anyway—partly because she has no other prospects and partly because, try as she might, she can’t seem to exorcize her desire for the dashing devil. Five years ago, he lured her from the garden of innocence into the orchard of forbidden fruit and she's been hungry for more ever since.
Robert Armstrong, the duke, is a Roman Catholic whose extreme devotions as a child warped his desires as a man. He’s also a slave to the times in which he lives--and to his king. Everything he is, everything he holds dear, depends on staying in Charles II’s good graces. Unfortunately, Maggie isn't the bride the king selected for him. Now, to make amends, the duke must choose between the lesser of two evils: whore his wife or be reduced to a penniless commoner.
Whose interests will Robert choose to serve, his own, the king’s, or the woman he loves?
If you want to watch the trailer for this awesome book
And here's the link to the trailer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js6w5vPC0NE
Forbidden fruit is always the most delicious...

BOOK BLURB

Ashley Frost wants what her parents had when they were alive. A true love. One that speaks of the happily ever after that books talk about. She knows she cares for Colton, but she has to be sure.

MY REVIEW
I absolutely loved this novella. This is
Colton and Ashley’s story.
We find out
all about Colton. He is hot young chef with the hottest restaurant in
town. Flavor. Ashley is one of his
hostesses and she is also the love of Colton’s life. Not your typical flashy
woman. She has curves and is so sweet. I fell in love with Ashley when I was
reading this book by the way. They go through a lot to get to their happy
ending.
Tanya takes us on a fun filled ride in this
novella. We have some reoccurring characters come back too. Randa and the guys
are back. They are always dispensing good advice to Colton. We also get to meet
some new characters.
Kevin the
dog, trust me you will laugh and giggle at Kevin the dog. He is one homely
little dude. But Ashley and Colton love him all the same. I won’t spoil it for
you guys. You will just have to read it for yourself. LOL
Tanya writes story lines that are realistic
and her characters are normal people, who find love and will fight to keep that
love. She writes with such honesty. So if you want a book about a couple in
love and fighting to keep that love. Not a brooding alpha male to be found or
the naïve young girl following them around.
These are the books for you. So check her out.
I know you will not be disappointed. CHRISTMAS PLEASURE should be out in time
for Christmas
