                         MY REVIEW
Welcome back to Nowhere home to supernaturals and humans. Nissa is finally getting into a blissful life. She has her job at the bar with M and Blake her werewolf boyfriend. When one day a biker gang pull into town and they just aren't any bikers they are demon bikers. Nissa starts to figure out why M is acting strange and what the bikers are doing in town. When she finds out a town secret and the reason why the bikers are here. With the help of Blake and Jax the hot demon who has eyes for Nissa. But can you really trust a demon with anything? Can they stop the chaos that the bikers are causing and will Nissa be able to keep everyone safe.

Nissa and the gang are back and falling into a bit of normalcy, Nissa is well she is content right now but also kind of still nervous about her past. She seems to be at odds with herself and what she can and cannot do. She is feisty and still doesn't take anyone's bull. She is growing up also maturing with every action she does, Blake is back and well he is just as sweet and sexy as ever. He is there for Nissa when she needs him. I really like Blake he is the type of guy that will be there for you through thick and thin. We also get to meet some new characters the demon bikers. Jax the hot as sin demon who you really can't get a read on him, it seems like there is more to him than meets the eye. Is he trusty worthy or does he have an agenda like everyone else. Then we meet Lazlo the head and the evil that surrounds the bikers. You can just feel the evil rolling off of him, he is just oozes the evil out of his pores .

This is the second book in the series and it is such a fun read. We get to see the characters in some domestic bliss before the world ends yet again. The author has written such fun read that you will love . The story is a fun fast read I loved every page and I couldn't put it down, I will tell you there is a cliff hanger at the end of this book. So if you want a fun read for the fall check it out, You will love it,

GOOD MONDAY

Good morning peeps hope everyone had a great weekend and got a lot of reading done. Today I have the last book in the Ever Dark Academy series. BAD HAIR DAY by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain.

                          BOOK BLURB

With Griim gone, I can’t seem to beat my own melancholy.

Sure, Harlow and Jean-Claude do their best to help me through the grief but they didn’t care for Griim the way I did.

Truly, Griim was my best friend in Dread.

So, when I discover a way to bring Cackus back from whatever portal he was delivered to, I realize in bringing Cackus back, I can brink Griim back.

Now I’ll need to face the challenge of gathering the items necessary to complete the spell and to do that, I’ll need to get Jean-Claude on board.

Too bad things between Jean-Claude and I are as confusing as ever. Same with Harlow. But I can’t think about my confusing feelings for either of them, not when getting Griim back is way more important.

And, all the while, I’m fully aware that Arcadia is just waiting in the wings, ready to declare war on Dread yet again.

                       MY REVIEW
With Grim gone Everly can't come out of her sadness, she is trying hard but nothing is helping at all. Harlow and Jean Claude are trying to help her through but they just can't pull her out of her of her funk. Until the day she finds a way to bring back Crackus and Grim. So that sends her and Jean Claude on an adventure to find everything she needs to bring them back. With the people of Arcadia waiting and getting ready to wage war on Dread. Will they be able to figure out Dorian's book and get prepared for what is to happen. Will Grim come back and will Everly realize that she belongs in Dread with all the men she loves and love her .
Everly is a force to be reckoned with in the last installment of the series. She maybe grieving but wow when push comes to shove this girl comes out hard and comes out swinging. She has grown up to become a feisty strong willed woman who will do anything for the people she loves. The men in her life well they are beside themselves in helping her. Jean Claude we see him becoming more fun and not so stuffy and Harlow well he is a grumpy gus who finally realizes he needs Everly as much as everyone else. All the characters have grown up and become very essential to each other.
I was so excited to see the final story in the series. I was hoping that everything would turn out for the characters, there are ups and downs throughout the book and you really get to see the characters grow up and become who you want them to be. The story is fast paced and a lot does happen throughout the book. I read this book in an evening , I wanted it to last because it is the last book in the series but I just couldn't put it down. I wanted to see what happened and if everyone got a happily ever after. So if you want a fun read that will have you reading all night long check out this series you will not be disappointed .

GOOD THURSDAY

Good morning all and welcome to the first day of fall, its cold here on the farm so it is a good day to snuggle down with a good book. Today I have book 21 in the Haven Hollow series DAY DREAM by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain.

                         BOOK BLURB

I’ve just moved to the legendary Haven Hollow to start the next chapter of my life…

My name is Sydney Blackstone, better known as The Sandman.

After losing my wife two years ago and getting lost in grief ever since, I decided I needed to start over.

So, I find myself in Haven Hollow, where I plan to open my own mattress store, Sandman Syd’s.

Almost as soon as I move to Haven Hollow, though, I realize my work is cut out for me—someone is having not only bad dreams but dangerous ones.

As the Sandman, it’s my responsibility to relieve this sleeper of whatever night terror is after them.

Little do I know the culprit is the infamous Jormungandr, the legendary serpent from Midgard.

With such a powerful predator on the loose, I don’t have much time to ensure the citizens of Haven Hollow are safe and, more pointedly, one citizen in particular: Bailey Bennett.

At the moment Bailey, a psychic from Spook Society, walks through my door, I have a feeling she won’t be walking out anytime soon.

As long as I can keep her safe, that is…

                        MY REVIEW

Welcome back to Haven Hollow, Syd has moved to the quaint little town to start over. There is something special about Syd, besides the fact that he has the best beds in the whole state. He is an honest to goodness Sandman. He is one busy man between getting his store ready and chasing a serpent of myth. He has to find this monster and keep the citizens of Haven Hallow before it is too late, well even the one person that he is starting to have feelings for Bailey Bennett the pretty psychic from the Spook Society.

I am loving this series and the fact that has revolving characters. Each book seems to have some great new characters. This book is all about Syd a sandman who is trying get his feet under him after the loss of his wife.  He is a sweet man who just wants to have his life and do his job. There is an underlying hero that he doesn't know he has until push comes to shove. Bailey is such a sweet girl who is stronger than everyone sees, she is a no-nonsense woman who has been through a lot and wants to have that one person to hang with. Syd is that person they have an immediate attraction to each other, and it is fun to watch it develop. Wd also get to meet Maverick, Syd babysitter until the council votes on if Syd can stay and he isn't going to hurt anyone.

This is a fun book to read, loving that there is a whole new set of characters in this story, It is really feeling like a town growing and adding new people all the time. The authors have a way of making each story fresh and an enjoyment to read. This is one of those stories that have a way to have you fall in love with them and each story links to the next story seamlessly. So if you want a fun book to read check it out. You will love to get to know the characters

HAPPY RELEASE DAY

Good morning peeps hope your weekend was great and you got some reading done. Things are winding down on farm work so I got to dive into the second book in the Fading Empire series by Ian Kane. FESTERING ABYSS.

                           BOOK BLURB

As empires continue to crumble, Leonard Kilbane’s brave but seemingly outmatched resistance fighters come under increasing assaults by malevolent forces determined to crush them.

The team becomes the target of a massive military force that drives them further into the deadly outlands. There, they encounter an evil presence hidden beneath the sands that causes even their pursuers to hesitate.

Back in civilization, John Hughes and Frank Coletti are on the run after uncovering shadowy alliances that place their very lives in grave danger. A mysterious woman, Iva, helps them evade their enemies as they attempt to navigate the treacherous underworld of 2083 Los Angeles. Hughes’ nemesis LACDF Sergeant Erik Pike leads a merciless manhunt for them.

Meanwhile, Desmond Highmore and his fellow elites plot to further their already dominant positions over society in their twisted game of life and death. What are their ultimate motives?

                      MY REVIEW
Kilbane and the men are back and trying to keep the resistance alive but at every turn they are fighting foes that are really trying to crush them at every turn. When the military force forces them deeper into the badlands the team encounters an evil presence that may be the end of them if they can't get out. While they are fighting in the badlands back in civilization Hughes and Coletti are running for their lives after uncovering a shadowy alliance that has put them in grave danger. With the help of Iva a mysterious woman who helps them evade Sergeant Pike and his manhunt for them. The elites are also planning their future and their dominance over society. What will their ultimate end game be .

Oh there are so many characters in this book, Kilbane and the team are back and better than ever. Kilbane is feeling the heat as they try and survive this latest adventure they are on. He is a true military veteran who knows how to fight. He has an unwavering respect for the military and an unwavering sense of pride when it comes to military traditions.  Blood wolf is also returned, and I truly like this character he is a walk softly and carry a big stick kind of character. He is trained in tracking. making trap and various other military training. He doesn't really show that much emotion, but you really get to feel his emotion when he actually shows them. These are just a couple of the strong characters in this book. You will love them and hate them at the same time. Each character is crafted with special skills and traits that you will love or hate,

This is a book that when you sit down to read you will probably not move for a good two to three hours. The storyline sucks you in and you will be on the edge of your seat most of the way through it. There is more of the steam punk aspect in this book. We get to see some very strange animals and people throughout this story. The characters are well written and complex you will like them and hate them at the same time. There is a lot that goes on throughout the book with multiple povs throughout, but you really don't get lost you really get to understand at what can be going on.  This is one of those books that you should read on a rainy weekend curled up under a cozy blanket and get lost in a world the author has made and keeps expanding. I would read book one first and then dive right into this one I promise you will not be disappointed.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY

Good morning peeps , I hope you are all having a good week . Today I have a brand new series for you to read . It is a historical enemies to lovers fantasy series . THE MAN WITH THE VIOLET EYES  by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain .

                        BOOK BLURB

The first book in an addictive Historical Fantasy Romance series, perfect for fans of Jennifer Armentrout and Sarah Maas.

Master Nicolo, a man also known as ‘The Terrible,’ lives up to his title and then some.

As confidante, closest friend and protector to Prince Balduin, a man who would be king of the large and estimable Woodfall Gath, Nicolo is nearly untouchable.

Throw in the fact that the man can fight like no other and seems to have a preternatural knowledge for detecting those who want to kill him, he’s a formidable foe and then some.

But Nicolo didn’t always live such a favored life.

Born the only son to a poor mother, his otherworldly violet eyes separated him from his peasant brethren, singling him out as someone or something to be feared and shunned.

With no friends or money, Nicolo’s young life was a difficult one.

Then came the day the queen and her entourage passed through his remote town. The ailing Prince Balduin who was struck with a strange sickness that was certainly killing him, played with Nicolo and…

Prince Balduin’s health improved.

And so began Nicolo and Balduin’s strange friendship—Balduin raising a would-be peasant to a station well out of his range, and in return, Nicolo’s constant presence healed Prince Balduin.

Now the time has come for me to join the ranks of the kingdom’s servants, acting as maid during the day, all the while awaiting the cover of darkness in order to find Master Nicolo alone.

So I can assassinate him.

                          MY REVIEW
Nicolo is feared in the castle the constant confidante to the prince . His reputation precedes him  but he wasn't always this fierce man . He use to be a poor boy living with his mother in a far away town until the queen and her entourage came through and found out that Nicolo had a way to heal the prince . So he was whisked away and became friends with prince Baulduin . Now his and the prince's lives are in danger when an unassuming young maid who is actually an assassin is there to find Nicolo and well take him out .

Nicolo and Charlotte are such different characters . Charlotte is tough but also trying to hang on to her cover . She is lethal in ways of enchanting a man and the brutally murdering that said person . You have a hard time cracking her shell she is that tough . Nicolo is a very complex character he is so fierce but there is a sadness to him that you can see through the story . I love the way the authors have the two main characters dancing around each other . The tension between them is off the charts  and you will love them . They are very well written and complex . There are also supporting members that really make the the two main characters shine .

This is the first book in a brand new series from two of my favorite authors . They are now starting to lay the ground work for a fantasy book that will have you turning pages all night . The story is one that will have you laughing and on the edge of your seat the other half of the time . The characters are well written and I can't wait to see where the authors take them in the next book . I truly enjoyed this book and was in a book hangover after I finished it cause I couldn't put it down.i finished it in an evening . So if you are looking for a new series for your fall and winter reading list check it out

HAPPY RELEASE DAY

Good morning peeps today is release day for JD Brown's new book DARKNESS ABOVE.

                           BOOK BLURB

Her parents are legends, but they’re losing the war. Now, it’s her turn.

Jordan Korento spent her life training for the vampire war, but no one will give her a chance to prove she’s more than just a princess.

When Jordan learns of a twin brother who was sent to live in hostile territory, she takes destiny into her own hands, determined to save the sibling she never met and make her family whole.

Joined by her vampire ex-girlfriend who she still has feelings for—and the mysterious Sergeant who steals her breath with a single glance—Jordan embarks on a rescue mission to Bavaria, where nothing is what it seems. Will she find a kindred spirit in her twin or an enemy lying in wait?

                         MY REVIEW
Jordan Korento is a legacy both her parents are legends in the vampire world . She has been training her whole life for the chance to prove that she is more then a princess. When she finds out that she has a twin brother who is with his uncle and aunt in the hostile territory . She takes her destiny into her own hands and goes out to find him . With the help of her ex girlfriend and a sergeant that you just can't really trust . She is off on an adventure that will take her and her friends to rescue the brother she never knew .

This is a spin off a popular book series The Ema Marx series . Jordan is the daughter of Jesus and Ema and man she is the image of her mother . She is feisty and fierce , she has trained her whole life to get into the fight. She has been born into privilege and wants to prover herself . She is only human though and does have some drawbacks with that . Her brother Logan is born as a Nephilim and he is well he is one mixed up young man . He is just a miss understood young man who is destined to be part of the demise of his sister . He is just trying to find his place in the world but can he . There are some old characters that come back which I personally loved . Each character is well written and complex .

I was so excited to hear that we are getting the next generation in the Ema Marx series . I devoured this book in an evening . The characters are well written and you get to see the new characters and get to hang out with some old characters . This book is set in two points of view from both main characters . I must admit that I truly enjoyed Logan's journey , it was like he was really trying to find his way in the wars . Jordan's journey was just as exciting but you kind of felt that she was ready for what was to come. Logan was more of a learn as you go kind of adventure . I truly enjoyed this book and so very happy that we are getting to go back to one of my favourite series with a new generation of characters. You don't have to read the first series but I would if you want to get to know Jesus and Ema before diving into Jordan and Logan . So if you want a good series starter check it out . I promise you will like them and want to see more from them

BACK AFTER A GREAT LONG WEEKEND

Good afternoon peeps hope you all had a great weekend and if you have a long weekend like I did hope it was the last hurrah for the summer . Today I have for you the 4th book in the Gates of the Underworld series by Hp Mallor and J.R Rain. GOD OF WAR .

                           BOOK BLURB

The Fourth Gate of the Underworld is a landscape of ice and death…

The first three gates were no walk in the park, but when I arrive at Gate Four, I face all new horrors.

Led by the infamous Fallen God, Chaena, Gate Four is a land of neverending winter, of ice and snow amid a blizzard that could put Minnesota weather to shame.

As if the weather wasn’t bad enough, this level of the Underworld is also guarded by ice fae, whose touch is lethal and who seem like they really want to touch me.

At least I have the hunky Adonis by my side—a man who has become my friend, my protector, and my lover.

Strangely enough, I’m starting to believe I might be able to add one other person to that list (er, not the lover part)… Hades, The Lord of the Underworld, the supreme god of this terrible place.

Right.

Believe it or not, Hades keeps popping in at the most unexpected moments to deliver me from whatever awfulness I’m facing. And he’s got a message for me: he’s rooting for me, whatever that means.

I can only hope I survive Gate Four and Chaena’s deathly winter so I can make it to the Fifth Gate and finally face-off with Ares.

                       MY REVIEW
Pen and Adonis are on their way to gate four and if you thought the last three gates were hard this one is the worse yet .Gate four is a winter waste land where if the cold doesn't kill you the ice fairies will . Hades keeps popping in and taunting Pen at the most awkward times and if that isn't enough . Ares the  God she is suppose to fight is dream walking to her and they are having some unorthodox reactions to each other . What is a girl / demigoddess to do , pray that she can get through the gate and then get to the man she is going to face off with to get her sister back .

Pen and Adonis are back and they are getting better then ever . Pen is having a bit of crisis  of fate and heart right now . She is trying to figure what is going on and how she is going to survive . She is stronger then she realizes and will do almost anything to get to her sister . Time is running out and she knows it so it adds pressure to an already hot situations . She is really growing as a character . Adonis is well he is still hot and willing to do anything to keep Pen safe. They are growing stronger but I feel they are also growing a little apart from each other  you can feel it . Hades is well he is as rogue as ever , he is the cad that just shows up at the most awkward times just to try and get Pen and shake her confidence.  We also get to finally see more from Ares and what makes him tick . We find out a bit of his back story and honestly I think he is just a misunderstood God that was screwed over by a goddess.

This is the book 4 in the series and I am thinking it is one of the better books in the series . We get a lot of back story about Ares which is fun to read about . The authors really do paint a great sweeping picture of the Gates and what they go through in each gate . I am really enjoying this series and can't wait to see where the authors take us in the book . I can't wait to see Pen and Ares finally square off . So if you want a great series for this fall check it out .

WOOHOO IT IS FRIDAY

Good afternoon peeps today is a little cooler out  so it is another good day to grab a book and sit in the sun and read . Today I have an unique anthology for you.  ALPHA QUEEN  by various authors including S,K Gregory, Lore Nicol and six other authors .

                        BOOK BLURB

 Every Pack needs an Alpha...

In a pack, you answer to the Alpha, without question, but what happens when you don't want the job? Or when the other wolves are against you?

It's never easy being in charge, but for these Alpha Queens, it could prove deadly...

This collection of paranormal and urban fantasy tales explores the world of werewolf packs and female Alphas. Our heroines will face their deepest fears, darkest urges and terrible betrayals, but a Queen always comes out on top.

                        MY REVIEW
Every pack needs an alpha , but what happens when you don't want the job and everyone has to answer to you without question. Even when other wolves are against you . Its a hard line to hoe but these female alphas are here to prove them all wrong and fight with those fights that will prove that she can handle anything that comes their way .

These are a collection of paranormal and urban fantasy stories with a a great twist to them . The main characters are all fearless women who come into their Alpha powers and honestly don't want the powers at first but come into them and take them on fearlessly . They are all well written and complex and you will love them .

I liked the stories in this anthology , I really liked SHE WOLF by S.K  Gregory . Aria has run away from the pack and all she wanted to do was sing .Until the day she gets kicked out of the band and find out that her dad the alpha and her brother are dead . Now she is on her way back to Stone mountain to take what is rightfully hers and honestly does she want to be back and see the people she hurt . Will she be the alpha she knows she can be or will she give it all up and run away again .

I truly love Aria she is one of those women who know what she wants even if at first she doesn't want it . She is a tough cookie when push comes to shove she will fight for everything and everyone .  Her mom is a card she may be tough but she is still in mourning but like her daughter when push comes to shove she will fight for family . Ryan is her best friend and the sweetest guy out there but he has been hurt and he is not ready to get involved with someone who is just going to run . These characters are very well written and complex .

This is a fun fast read and the characters are very well written. The author takes us on an emotional rollercoaster .  I truly liked this story very much and couldn't put it down . There were some funny times and then there are times where you will want to keep them safe when things start to go awry . I wish the story could of been a bit longer to flesh out the characters more . So if you want a fun read check out this anthology . Your fall reading list will love you for it

                         MY REVIEW

Sarah is one terrified mom, he daughter Emma hasn't been herself lately and it is getting harder to keep it under wraps. When her nosey neighbor starts to suspect something isn't just right . Then her sister shows up and just makes everything even more difficult . The one thing that Sarah does know for sure that she loves Emma and will do anything to keep her child safe and let her know that she is loved unconditionally. But will her love be enough to keep Emma safe and bring her back from what ever is holding her hostage.

This is one of those books that have such good characters .Sarah is a mom who has lost her husband and now her child isn't the child she was before . Sarah is worn out she is just tired of what she has to do to keep Emma safe . But deep down inside her she is a strong woman with a fight in her . She will take on what ever is going on and win. Emma well what can you say about her , she is well she really isn't human . She may come off as sweet at times but she is calculated and actually a scary menace to those people she thinks have wronged her . There are moments when you see the sweet little girl that she is but those are far and few between. Jesse is the big sister who comes to the rescue of Sarah and Emma . She is a no nonsense woman who shows up at the right time. She is like the breathe of fresh air that Sarah and Emma needed . The characters are so well written and complex the author has balanced the empathy and the sympathy for each character .

This is one of those book where once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down . It starts out as an extreme horror book , trust me do not read the first couple of chapters before bed . Then is kind of morphs into a folk lore / horror book . I really got sucked into the story and was on the edge of my seat most of the time . Emma really kind of creeped me out but at the same time I really just wanted to wrap her up and hug her . The characters are very well written and you will love or hate them depending on moment in the story . I think you should add this book to  your fall reading list . So check it out if you love some good ole horror.
