For some, that’s a hard lesson to learn especially if you are an incubus yearning for your next high. Lester Fine is about to regret the day he met Rosie because when she teams up with a former lover, Constance, they form a pair no one can conquer. Alone Rosie is tough but when she's paired with the one she loves most, the house always wins and Rosie always gets what she wants.

                     MY REVIEW
Welcome to Tango Fuego , one of the hottest burlesque clubs in New York city . Rosie is the owner and also a demon, the only that escaped the bowls of hell to start a new life . She is also part of a family of misfits that she has saved . Monday night is ladies night and this ladies night is one for the record . With the cherry poppers in line to show it all and an incubus that is disguised as a slimy promotor oh and throw in a room full of women who are well lets say ready to go . What could go wrong well plenty with Rosie's luck an old flame shows up bringing along the one man she never wanted to see again . What could go wrong well everything and will they survive the night .
Oh my stars the characters in this novella are so much fun to read . Rosie is a demon with a heart. She is a tough cookie with a heart of gold underneath. Orion is her best friend and bartender who is a shifter and well sexy and will do just about anything for the people she takes care of .  There are so many fun characters that come in and out the club. I mean we have a pregnant mermaid and a siren that plays piano oh and a vampire hunter that now teaches choreography to the strippers .  They are so well written and complex you will love them .
I loved this book and its characters this is a fun fast read . The characters are well written and complex and the setting is in a place you really wouldn't think of for a central location . I was hooked by the end of chapter one . I love a good friends that would do anything for each other book . It is a fun fast read that would be great for the beach or poolside you can read it in a couple of hours . So check it out if you want a fun fast read .

Caith Milas is a hot, billionaire vampire who has everything going for him... Almost.

Caith is in love with Colleen a human who he's afraid his sisters will scare off, like they've done all the others. His solution? A contract for marriage with someone who will not break under his sisters thumbs.

Follow along in this witty Fake Marriage Love Story with Caith, his "wife", her cat and the wicked vamp sisters in Blood Kissed. Can the contract change? More importantly, can they all make the cat happy?
                    MY REVIEW
Caith Milas is a very hot billionaire and he is also a vampire . So you would think that he has everything going for him . Well not quite, he is in love with Coleen a human . His sisters have tortured and ran off every woman he has brought home  and he is scared they will do the same with her . Enter Tiffany the woman he hires to fake marry him and live with him for a month . Will Tiffany be able to handle the sisters and will this fake marriage actually turn into something else . And most of all will Cosmos finally get everything a cat deserves and wants .
Omg what can I say about these wonderful characters . Caith well he is your typical billionaire he comes off all snobby but underneath there is a heart of gold and yes I know he is a vampire but they can change to . It takes him a bit but he finally clues in to how he can make things better for everyone. Tiffany well she is no nonsense woman who is tougher then she looks . She really gives the sisters a run for their money and gives as good as she gets . But even she has her limits . I think my favourite character is Cosmos the cat , he just is the funniest little critter out there  and he does make the sisters fall in love with him even though they are evil to their very bones.
This is one of those stories that when you start reading you will get sucked in. They start off as an arranged fake marriage but as you read you really see them change . The story is a fun read that had me entertained all the way through .  I loved the characters they are complex and well written . So if you want a story for the pool check it out .

Hollywood can kiss Marilyn Bordeaux's has-been-diva butt. At least that's what she'd like to tell everyone. But acting was her passion. Now when a death in the family forces her to return home. She'll have to make a choice between a passion that sees her as outdated or a family commitment she walked away from a lifetime before.

                        MY REVIEW
Marilyn's life isn't going as well as she wants it to . She is basically getting too old for movie roles and she classifying herself as a has been . Until the day that she gets a phone call about a death in the family . So home she goes with her best friend Lola. Oh did I forget to mention that Marilyn aka as Mimi is a witch and she is going home to say good bye and maybe save the town that she ran away from many years ago.

These characters are so fun to read . Marilyn aka Mimi is trying hard to forget her past but her present isn't that great . She is actually a fun woman but she is also so worried about what people think of her . She has an inner strength that she forgot about and when push comes to shove she is a fighter . Lola her best friend is hilarious , she is human and is fascinated with Marilyn and her life as a witch . She is there when Marilyn needs her and gives her the strength she needs . There are so many fun characters in this book that help Marilyn come back to her roots . Mermaids , wolves, fairies, and so much more .

This is one of the books where you start to read and the next thing you know you are done . It is a fast read with lovable characters . The author has a romance story mixed up with a little bit of a mystery and a welcome home story . The characters are well written and you really want to be come friends with them .  I read this book in an afternoon while relaxing in the hammock . It is a fun fast read that will have you laughing through out . So add it to your summer reading list you will love it .

ITS DAY 2

Good morning everyone, it is day two of reader round up and today I have a reverse harem book for you .  VEGA  Stargazers Prophecy by K. R Hall

                          BOOK BLURB

A prophecy says when the star, Vega, returns to the North Pole, a Starlight will fall. The fall will bring an end to the centuries-long war between the wolves and vampires. This is said to unite the wolves and vampires with peace forever.

This can only come about once the Starlight, Vega, mates with her true mates.

My story will begin with Vega’s true mates Sirius and Sterling (twins) as her Alpha wolves and her sinister vampire mates Zeke and Tarak (cousins); they work together at an observatory as it is the best place they have found so they can always watch for their own fallen star. They look to the sky, just watching and waiting for their one true mate. They know they will have to move fast to get their fallen star lover before The Umbar.

Can they find their love and form their unbreakable bond? Or will fate work against them to miss their one true shot at happiness?

                   MY REVIEW
Vega is  a star that is waiting to fall to find her true mates. This prophecy will end the war between the  vampires and the were wolves uniting them after centuries of war. Sirius , Sterling Zeke and Tarak have been waiting for their fallen star . Will she come and will they find her before the Umbar find her. Will they be able to find her before it is too late or will they miss their one chance at true happiness .

What can I say we have wolves and vampires and a fallen star . Sirius and Sterling are alpha twins who are also wolf shifters . They are well they are sexy as wolves are and protective . Zeke and Tarak are cousins and also vampires who well can be brooding and dark . They are all strong and oh sexy . They are total opposites to each other but when they are together they all work well . Vega well she is basically a naive child when we first meet her and she does grow but there are moments where she is just too sweet . She needs to toughen up . I kind of found her to be a little boring at moments in the book . Oh don't get me wrong the characters are well written but I think the author could of made them more complex as they went through the story .

This is a new twist on a reverse harem and it is a good story line . The author took us on an adventure . The characters are well written and you will like them . I did find myself drifting a bit at the start of the book but I did get into the story by the end of chapter 2. Over all I truly enjoyed this book and loved the premise of the story . So if you want a good story with sexy vampires and alpha wolf shifters and a fallen star check it out .

When do dreams become reality?

Orin sells dandelion latex at a no-name market, barely scraping by.

Mette is a princess. Maybe. What Orin does know is that for thirty seconds every night, Mette visits Orin in xir dreams. Orin has long since written the fancy ghost woman off as a recurring nightmare, but when Mette insists upon meeting in real life, Orin's inner world turns out to be more substantive than imaginary.

Along with best friend Blathnaid, Orin embarks on a journey to discover the truth behind xir otherworldly connection--determined to free xir mind and finally get a good night's sleep. But it's an ancient, planetary magic that binds Orin to Mette, and Orin's dandelions may be their only chance to survive the separation.

                       MY REVIEW

Orin is barely scraping by, selling dandelion latex at a market . Who is having nightmares of a fancy ghost woman, Mette off . When she tells him she wants to meet him in real life his life is turned upside down and his dreams are more then his real life . So off on an adventure with his best friend Blathnaid to discover the truth behind the xir and the other worldly connection and is determined to free the xir mind and maybe finally have a good nights sleep and maybe be able to keep things down. Also it might be the only way to survive the separation of them .

Orin is a sweet guy who is just trying to get ahead in his life .  He is sharing his mind with Mette and she takes up a lot of his mind . He is a sweet young man who is stronger then he comes off as . His best friend Blathnaid is a fun guy who is jolly and likes his life . Mette is sweet but there is something more to her. She is tough and along with the guys she is ready to free herself . Each of these characters is fun to read and they are complex for a novella.

This is one of those books where you have sci fi, romance and has LGBT and non binary aspects through out . The main characters are diverse and you will like them . The author does paint a great picture of what it is like on the other planet . There are also dragons mentioned . This is one of those books that was suppose to be part of an anthology but the author expanded it and we got a wonderful novella that will wanting more . So if you want to check out a good story and add it to your summer reading list check it out .

Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.

For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.

                         MY REVIEW

Kenneth has eyes for only one person in his life . He is an warlock and also a single father . When he finds out his little girl is more powerful then his whole family . He has to fight the forces that just want to harness his daughters powers . It has taken his life to keep her safe until the day Andrea appears in his life . He can't help but not trust her there is something about her that puts him a little on edge . She has been running for the past two years . When she finds herself in the house where magick is strong and the little girl doesn't want her to leave . She is confused should she doesn't know if she should stay or go but the longing is to stay. Will she be able to keep everyone safe especially the sexy man in the kilt that sets her heart beating a little faster .

It took us a bit to finally meet Kenneth but wow when we did we were not disappointed. Kenneth well he is immortal and a powerful warlock but he is also sexy as sin and when you meet him you want to well hug him .  Andrea she is a mystery she has been hiding for so long and when we meet her she is running .  She is strong and feisty and when you put her together with Kenneth there are sparks and hilarity that ensue . They are such strong fun characters that are well written and complex .

This is the seventh book in the series and it doesn't let you down . It is a fun filled action packed book . The characters are well written and complex and you will love them . I love these characters and when you sit down to read them you will love them too . I did find it just a little hard to get into the book at the beginning but once i got through the first couple of chapters I was hooked . I can't wait to see where these characters go in the future . So if you want a book with some hot men in kilts and the magic they can do check out the series .

GOOD MONDAY MORNING

Good morning my peeps , hope your weekend was good and you stayed cool and safe from all storms . Today I have a brand new series from a couple of my favourite authors . Lets dive into THE GIRL WHO JOINED THE CIRCUS (The Dark Circus trilogy book one ) by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain.

                             BOOK BLURB

Cirque du Noir… the circus of the night, where the line between the real and the imagined is a thin one.

It’s 1930, I’m nineteen years old, and I have high hopes of joining the circus with my best friend, Amelia.

But when I find myself alone at the train station with no sign of Amelia, I have no choice but to find my own way to the Cirque du Noir, all the while figuring Amelia must have already arrived.

As I reach the circus grounds, I’m summarily greeted by the alluring owner of the circus and ringmaster, Laurent, who tells me he’s been awaiting my arrival.

And yet there’s still no sign of Amelia…

I soon learn she’s had to rush back home to tend to a family emergency, which means I’m now all alone as I embark on the next chapter of my life.

While Laurent welcomes me to his circus wholeheartedly, something about him feels off—though I can’t put my finger on just what. Perhaps the strange feeling is owing to the fact that I feel like I know him—that I’ve known him my whole life, and yet, I’ve never laid eyes on him before.

Or maybe it’s the circus itself—the more time I spend here, the stranger things get—like seeing people whose faces I can’t make out, or an old gypsy woman I’m reasonably convinced is a ghost, or the caravan parked on the far side of the circus which is off-limits. Yet, I can’t help but feel an unearthly call to the place.

Or maybe all the angst I’m feeling is owing to one man: Rex, the caretaker, and manager of Cirque du Noir.

For as charismatic and charming as Laurent is, Rex is the opposite. Dour, rude, and quick to anger, it’s clear Rex not only doesn’t want me here but also harbors a grudge against me though I don’t know why.

Even though I have the same sense of familiarity with Rex that I do with Laurent, with his surly attitude, Rex makes me nothing but nervous.

And yet I can’t deny that I’m drawn to him—that he makes me feel a passion the likes of which I’ve never experienced before. Strangely, I feel a similar draw to Laurent, and I’m convinced they feel it too.

Between searching for answers to the myriad of questions regarding the Cirque du Noir, Laurent, and Rex, I wonder if perhaps I’ve made a colossal mistake in joining the circus…

                     MY REVIEW

Welcome to small town America in the 1930's where Bindi and her best friend Amelia decide to run away and join the circus but not just any circus  but the Cirque du Noir . When she arrives she is told that her best friend had to go home for a family emergency . She was to audition anyway . She meets Laurent they ring master and owner of the circus . There is something about him that she can't put her finger on. There is a sense of familiarity but she just can't remember how she knows him , then there is Rex who makes her feel a passion that she has never felt before and then there is also the familiarity that she just can't put her finger on. Trying to figure out what is the feelings she has for both men she is also trying to figure out the mysteries behind the circus and if joining them was a big mistake

This is one of those books that have such a wide range of characters from various backgrounds in this book . We have the bearded woman to a snake charmer . The main character Bindi is a young woman who wants to better life, she is a sweet girl who is very inquisitive. She has a talent for contortion but there is something more about her that we get a sense through out the book. Laurent is well he has an air about him  but there is something sinister about him deep down . You really can't trust him he gives off such a weird vibe . Rex well he is the strong silent type of guy who comes of gruff but underneath he is the guy that would be there when you need him . All the characters are well written and complex .

This is one of those books that really gets under your skin . The characters alone are worth reading the book for . The authors paint a picture of 1930s America and what it was like to be there . This is a mystery with a little bit of romance involved and it also feels paranormal in so many ways .  This is an unique story that will have you flipping the pages . So if you want a story that will have you wondering what the heck is going on . Check out the first book in a brand new series . You will not be disappointed a great book for the end of your summer reading list

G0OD AFTERNOONALL

Good afternoon peeps , I really hope that you are all staying cool and reading some good summer books . Today I have for you thriller by a young author. Lets check out 1,00 COLONIAL FARM ROAD  by Jeff Zimmerman.

                             BOOK BLURB

Esther Ahava Esperanza is an ex-Israeli Defense Force infantrywoman with a PTSD fueled past. Working as a ‘fixer’ for Langley, Virginia, she’s assigned with a job that is far different from all the other ones she’s done before. After assassinating an Aryan Brotherhood convict and a drug addicted prostitute, Esther is tasked with kidnapping the couple’s child and taking him under her own wing. Raising her adopted son to be a future contract killer for the CIA, Esther quickly learns that being a mother is harder than being a hitwoman. And it is true what a plethora of people say... love really can be tough!

                      MY REVIEW

Esther Esperanza is an ex military who was part of the Israeli Defense force and she is suffering from PTSD . She is a fixer and when she is tasked with an unusual  job she is tasked with taking their young son in and taking care of him . She doesn't know what is harder being an assassin for the CIA or raising a son . She quickly learns that having a son is harder then being an assassin .

When you start  a book and instantly connect with the main character is a good thing . Esther is one of those characters that you read and go wow . She is a kick butt woman but underneath all her training she is a woman and a mother who worries all the time if this will be the last time she sees her son  .  There are so many complex characters in this story . They are complex and you will love and hate them at the same time .

I have been following this young author for awhile . This is the book that I really enjoyed , the author has grown and this book kept me entertained . The characters were well written and you really start care for the main character . The book moves at a fast pace and there is a lot of action through out the book . It may be thriller in nature there is an under tone of what a mother would do to keep her son safe and loved . The author has really grown and it shows in his writing style . So if you want a kick butt heroine with a past that will have you on the edge of your seat through out the book . So check it out  a great book for your summer reading list .

WELCOME TO THURSDAY

Good morning peeps , hope you are staying cool this week and finding lots of good summer reads . Today I have book 2 in the Gates of the Underworld . RELICS OF RUIN  by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain

                           BOOK BLURB

All I want to do is get the hell out of Dodge…

In this case, ‘Dodge’ is the First Gate of the Underworld, which is like the sister city to Level One, Hell.

But it’s not like I can leave anytime soon—not when Adonis, my only friend (who’s also super hot), just got dude-napped by the absolute worst queen in the history of queens.

No, I mean it. Azrhea puts Bloody Mary to shame…

Anyhoo, even when I’m given the chance to escape and head to the Second Gate of the Underworld, I don’t take it.

Not only do I want to rescue Adonis from the clutches of She-Bitch, but I also sort of, kind of made a promise to Ereshkigal, the original ruler of the First Gate, that I’d help her reclaim her kingdom.

The only problem is Azhrea is proving really freaking difficult to kill.

And when Hades, the God of the Underworld, decides to make an entrance, I really don’t know what to think.

Hades is the ultimate definition of ‘man-perve,’ but he also seems to strangely want to help me. At least, I think he wants to help me…

He warns me that Rurik, the keeper of the Second Gate, is going to be even tougher to vanquish than Azhrea. And getting rid of Azhrea is like trying to get rid of ants.

But the biggest takeaway from my meeting with Hades? I must beware of Ares, the God of War, who occupies the Fifth Gate of the Underworld.

Right. Like I didn’t already know that.

Ares is currently keeping my sister’s soul hostage as he waits for me to make my way through the other four gates, so he can have the honor of killing me and starting a war with Olympus.

I’m really hoping I won’t give him that satisfaction…

                       MY REVIEW
Penelope is trying to rescue Adonis and get through the first gate but Azhrea will not die . It takes everything Pen has to defeat her . Not that she has enough to do Hades decides to come into the picture and warn her about Ares   Pen is trying to figure out what Hades is up to  and why does he want to help her also trying to get her only friend free so they can travel to the second gate . The life of a demigoddess will they survive the next gate keeper and will Pen figure out what Hades is up to before it is tooo late .

Penelope and Adonis are back and still fighting for their lives .  She is still struggling at the beginning with her self worth at the start of the book but man once she realizes who and what she is . Look out under world . Her powers are growing leaps and bounds daily . Adonis is well he is fighting hard trying to get out Azhrea's thrall . He is becoming over protect of Pen also . He is such a good guy .  I will admit that these two characters are really starting make me fall in love with them . They are well written and becoming very complex characters .

This is the second book in the series and starts right where book one left off . You are thrown into the action and basically fighting along with them all the way through the book . The characters are getting more and more complex. This is a fast paced story and you will be on the edge of your seat most of the time . The authors paint a great picture and the world they painted really starts to come alive through out the book. You have all these questions popping up through out the book like will Pen get through the first gate . What will happen next with Hades and Ares . Will Adonis really be safe from Azhrea . It almost feels like a great Greek mythology soap opera. So if you want a fun filled series check it out .

                              BOOK BLURB

Hanging with the Boba Book Babes at the Pandemonium in Peoria book event is supposed to be fun… schmooze with her favorite authors, buy books, and take pictures with the sexy AF male cover models. What Gina DiCaprio didn’t expect is to see her high school crush, Austin Blackmoor, and to find her favorite author dead with a phallus sucker shoved down his throat.

With the missing assistant who might have the answers to the murders, Gina and the Boba Book Babes stumble onto clues that might help clear her name and uncover the killer.

Austin Blackmoor didn’t count on a murder–least of all two, happening at the Pandemonium event. But reconnecting with his first love is the only highlight of the weekend. Can the Boba Book Babes uncover the killer before someone else dies? Will Gina and Austin get a second chance at love? Stick around for the after-party to discover the truth behind the Pandemonium in Peoria.

                       MY REVIEW

Gina is heading to a fun weekend with her girls at a book convention, where there will be books , panels and hot cover models . As they get ther Gina wasn't ready to run into her best friend who now looks like a god and the murder that just happened. When she meets Austin her world is turned upside down but in a good way . The murders have her baffled after she finds the body . Will they be able to find the killer and rekindle what they once had . Or will they be be at the mercy of a second murder . Stick around and see what happens in Peoria .

Ok this book is filled with fun loving characters that honestly have some of the same characteristics as some romance authors i know . Gina is a fun loving character and she just wants to have fun . The rest of the Boba Book club are the  funniest ladies ever .From the fanatic fan who will do anything for a basket to have dinner with her favourite author  to the others who drive Gina crazy and do a little well lets say there is just a lot of misunderstandings when it comes to the bedroom These ladies are crazy and the best of friends . Oh don't let me forget about the men of the Peoria book convention . They are so sexy and cut you just want to climb them . Underneath they are sweet and some what insecure , case in point Austin . He is built and the dream of most of the woman but deep down inside he seems to be the same little skinny boy who wanted his best friend .

When I got this book from the authors I couldn't wait to start reading it . I have never been to a book convention so I didn't know what I was into when I started reading . I couldn't believe how hysterical this book was and the characters are so lovable . You know you would have fun with these ladies .The authors combined a mystery with some zany antics of a book signing . The book is a fun fast read that had me laughing out loud through out . So check out the first book in a fun series . It will be great for your summer beach reads . Check it out

A long lost father, a hidden secret...

Mackenzie Murphy goes looking for the father she has never met and discovers a shocking truth - her father was a demon, which makes her a half demon. Hardly suprising with her ability to control the shadows around her, but she soon finds herself drawn into a world she knows nothing about. Caught in the middle of a demon war between three rival families, she is still trying to master her own abilities.

Who can she trust to help her? The mysterious Lucien? Or Taryn, the son of the enemy? With all three families hunting for a talisman that could shift the balance of power, Mackenzie must get to it first and finish what her father started, or die trying.

                          MY REVIEW
Mackenzie is looking for the father she never met and soon discovers the shocking truth. Her father is a demon so that makes her half demon. So that explains why she can control the shadows and when she is drawn into a shadow world that she knows nothing about . Caught in a war between rival families . She can't figure out who to trust , while hunting for the talisman that will shift the balance of power . Mackenzie must get to it first or die trying .

The characters in this book are well written and complex . Mackenzie is a young woman who wants to find out where she came from . She has always had this power to control the shadows when she is in trouble . She is a tough cookie who does some dirty things and when something goes wrong she decides to get out town . But underneath it all she is vulnerable and wanting to find a place that she belongs . The characters are so varied and and complex each one either hinders Mackenzie or help her out .

This is one of those books that once you start reading you will be up all night . The author has a way of writing that has a way of taking you to the spot and throwing you into the plot . The author mixes the occult and the weakness of humans to make the main character one you will want to protect . I would say that your teens could read this book and be ok with it . So if you want a good urban fantasy book that will have you flipping pages all night check it out.

GOOD EVENING ALL

Good evening all , been busy on the farm and almost forgot about this one . DRUID'S CURSE (book 18 in the Haven Hollows series) by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain .

                            BOOK BLURB

Something Wicked to Haven Hollow Comes...

At least, I hope it’s not wicked.

What is it? A book.

But it’s not like any book you’ve ever heard of or seen before.

First off, it’s animated, and I swear it acts like a little dog, complete with a wagging red bookmark tail.

Secondly, the only person who can read it or see any of the pictures within the ancient and worn leather binding is my thirteen-year-old son, Finn.

The book, which Finn names ‘Vellum,’ randomly shows up outside my door at Poppy’s Potions one night and begs to be let in.

As if that weren’t enough to cause the hair on the back of my neck to sit up and take notice, Vellum has an owner. And a few days later, I meet that owner.

His name is Alixandre Osmont, and he’s a traveling magician. Only, he’s a magician who really possesses magic.

Not only that but there’s something about Alixandre that seems strangely… familiar, though I’m sure I’ve never set eyes on him before. Yet, my soul doesn’t seem to agree.

Oh, and Alixandre just happens to be gorgeous with a capital G, and he’s British and has a voice that could melt glass.

But I digress.

Anyway, while constantly reminding myself I have a caring, loving, and wonderful boyfriend in Marty, I can’t help but feel guilty regarding this strange and overpowering attraction I have to another man.

And, what’s stranger still is that Alixandre seems to return my same bizarre and confusing feelings.

It’s not long before my personal life is in turmoil, and that’s when I learn Finn is in trouble.

The only person I can turn to, the only person who can help me fight off the dark powers trying to gain control of my son, is Alixandre.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I do what any caring mother would—I go after my son and damn the consequences.

                        MY REVIEW
Welcome back to Haven Hollow, where strange things happen all the time . Poppy one day finds a book but it is not an ordinary book . It is alive well as alive as a book can get . It acts just like a puppy dog and takes a shining to Finn, Poppy's son. He and Vellum are becoming the best of friends now and he is the only one that can read the words that appear in them .When Alixandre shows up in town to search for the book. Poppy feels the connection between the two of them . Its is electric and they feel like they have met before . That throws Poppy for a loop and she wonders what could happen between her and Marty . When she has to have Alixandre help get her son back from the darkness that is starting to surround him . Will they be able to save Finn and will they understand what power Finn carries inside him .

Omg what can I say about these characters that haven't been said before.I love that Finn got a bigger part in this story , He is growing up and it is great to see him doing more . He is a bright sweet boy who loves his mom but wants to be more then just her son. Marty is back and sweet as ever . He reminds me of the all american guy who will do anything to help you out I love his bumbling innocent sometimes but over all he is a great guy . Alixandre is well he is like a breath of fresh air . He is a great guy with special powers that will help everyone out . He is mysterious also . But my favourite character is Vellum the book that is like a puppy dog . It is so sweet how it acts like a puppy and you just want to actually cuddle it .

This is one of those books you can take out and read at the beach or the park. It is funny and sweet and you can' read it in an afternoon. This is one of those fast paced books that will have you giggling all the way through. The authors have a wicked sense of humor when it comes to this series and each book gets better and better . If you want a summer beach read check out this series you will fall in love with the characters and the stories .
