                         MY REVIEW

This is the first book I have read by this author . I have a bit of trouble with intsa love books . I feel that they are all the same . But this one is actually interesting , most sports related books are hockey or baseball and this one takes place on the tennis court . Which to me is interesting all in its on. Let me introduce you to Cash Gallagher a cocky tennis pro who can have any woman he wants at any time . But when Tally Mckenzie walks into his life and turns it upside down . The reporter is not the type of woman he usually goes for . She is voluptuous and curvy . Not the athletic women that throw themselves at him.  When they get together the sparks fly and they can't keep their hands off each other but like all love stories things don't go well . Will they survive their red hot love or will it fizzle out by the time the volley is over .

I will say it took me a bit to actually like  Cash , he always came off as cocky and so sure of himself . He actually was mean and I didn't really like him at the beginning . But he did start to change and when he and Tally were together its was hot .  Tally is the type of woman that well just doesn't fit with the normal . She is tall curvy and sexy with long dark hair and a reporter who is trying to make herself as a reporter . She is sweet and sexy and oh so lovable . She is good for Cash and has been in love with him since she saw his first tennis match .  But with every great couple there are those that want to tear them apart . KInga is that person , Cash's manager . Trust me ladies you will want to smack her so many times . She is jealous and vindictive. YOu will want to slap her.
I am going to tell you that there is a big cliff hanger at the end of this book . The author takes us on a roller coaster ride . There are lots of emotions in this book . You see each character grow and become more then they were . Cash learns to love and be loves . Tally learns to become a little more assertive in telling people what she wants and needs . The only thing I had trouble with is that it seemed to drag just a little in places . Also the characters took awhile to start to like . There were moments where I just kind of rolled my eyes at both characters acting like children . Over all I did enjoy this book even though there is a big cliff hanger . I would read more from this author I know need to know what is going to happen .

                         MY REVIEW

Mary Crofter has been on a sailing ship since she was two years old . As part of the Crofter shipping line she know all there is to know about the sea and the ships that sail her. She showed her merit by working along side the men crews and earned their respect and admiration. Until the day that Andrew walked into her life  Andrew the young idealistic man that will help shape the English war that was brewing . Now will she give up her love of the sea for the love of her life .
This is the third book in the series and is all about Mary and Andrew and their love story.  I loved that the main character was Mary and actually not Andrew . The author made Mary into a strong courageous woman . She worked hard and earned everything she got . It proves that a woman can be just as strong and love something that is mostly a male dominated profession . She wasn't  sit at  home letting herself be waited on hand and foot . When she was on land she took every opportunity to study and learn everything she could . I truly liked her as a character . I think she would be a great role model for and girl that reads this book .  Andrew is every girls dream he is strong and sweet and has a strong sense of morality . He wants to help his clans as the war brews . You actually cheer for him when he is off defending his land against the British . They are a really sweet couple that will sweep you off your feet with their pure undying love that lasts until and beyond the grave . l
I truly enjoy these books .  We meet the main characters between the ages of 11 - 12 and we watch them grow up through out the book . The author takes us on grand adventures on the sea and in some exotic ports . He also mixes great historical facts into the story that will keep you entertained . I love how the author ties the stories together . by mentioning the ending of the last book in the new book.  I will say that this book had me crying the last 5 chapters . So when you read this one have tissues ready cause you will need them . So if you want a series that you and your kids can read this is the series for you , Check them out for your fall reading list

                         MY REVIEW
Welcome back to the see . James Crofter was having a great life until the day came that his uncle came and stole him from his family. He sold young James into a life of being a slave . Living years as a slave he has made allies that when the time comes will help him .
Rosalind is a sweet young girl who was stolen away from her family . She hides from the cruel master the is out to hurt her by dressing like a boy ,  When she meets James she knows that they are kindred spirits and they hope to build a future together .
The second book is just as good as the first book . James is such a good character . He is a character that you will love reading . He was a loving kid and when he was put into slavery you see his character really grow and become stronger . He is a strong moral compass . He is sweet and kind and you will fall in love with him .
Rosalind is a tough cookie she has been through so much from being stolen from her family to the cruelness of a master . She is smart and kind of sassy . You will love how she is quick on her feet and can think fast . She is the perfect match for James . They are a great couple strong and full of love for each other .
Now lets talk evil men there are a few in this book but the most evil of them all is Sir Rupert. He is the typ of character that isn't redeemable by any means . His mean streak runs about a mile and the whip is like an extension of his arm . I really didn't like him one bit . He is nasty you wont like him either .
This is James story and we find out how he survived and he writes his memories at the end of his life just like Walter The author takes on an adventure of the seas and we head to some new islands to discover more trading routes . It was great to have the added view of another character Rosalind added a different depth to the story . The author has a great way of writing and painting a picture that will leave you wanting more . The characters are wonderful and the story will have you sucked in by the end of chapter one .

GOOD TUESDAY ALL

Good Tuesday all , today we are going to review three children's books by Kristen Thomas . PRINCESS EVANGLINE AND THE FIERY FIASCO book one . Book 2 PRINCESS EVANGELINE AND THE DRAGON'S DEN .  Book 3 PRINCE ZANDER AND THE RESOLUTE ROBOT

BOOK ONE                  BOOK BLURB

Princess Evangeline meets a dragon who is terrorizing her kingdom by setting fire to carts of hay and eating cows in this fairy tale.

                              MY REVIEW

What do you do when a rogue dragon is flying over your kingdom setting fire to everything . Well Princess Evangeline  will go and figure it out .
I read this book to my 2 year old grand niece and she loved it . It is a short sweet story that has the main character striking out on an adventure to help out the dragon . I wont spoil it for you but it is really sweet .
The characters are sweet and you will love them. The illustrations are spot on and depict the story very well . Your children will love this bed time story and ask for it over and over again. So check it out . Its sweet and easy to read .

BOOK 2                                         BOOK BLURB

Meet Princess Evangeline, a good princess with a bad attitude. At their wit's end, her parents send her away to visit someone they hope will be able to help.

                         MY REVIEW
When Princess Evangeline starts to have some bad attitude and starting to act like a spoiled brat . Her parents are at their wits ends . They decide to send her to someone who will be able to help her .
This story actually has a great message about what to do when your child is being a brat and the consequences of ones actions . My niece really liked the way that Evangeline changed at the end of the book . Not really knowing if a two year old understood about politeness but she did love the dragon and the story of Evangeline changing from bad to good .
This would be a great story for kids today to learn some politeness and good manners . The illustration's again are spot on for the story , The story is simple enough that kids will get it .

BOOK 3                                   BOOK BLURB

Prince Zander doesn't want to do anything but play all day long. He refuses to help and the space castle is a mess. What will happen when the robot breaks down and can't do everything?

                          MY REVIEW
Let me introduce you to Prince Zander . All he wants to do is play all day long and not clean up after himself . The space castle is a mess and his robot is broken . What is a prince to do .
This is a book about helping out and cleaning up after  yourself . If you want something sometimes you can do it yourself. There are good lessons in this book about keeping your play area tidy and also thanking the people that do help you out and do clean up and cook for you .
Again the illustrations are spot  on in line with the story . The kids will hopefully get the moral behind the robot breaking down and actually learning how to help out

Over all I truly enjoyed these stories and the moral lessons behind them . They were fun to read to my niece and she truly enjoyed them . So if you want a good set of books for you young ones to get them reading at night with you check them out

                       MY REVIEW

When Walter, as a old man sits down to write his memories , he takes us on an adventure of a young man who wants to break away from his working class parents . He sneaks off and joins the Merchant Marines . Where his adventure begins and his destiny . He has pirates to fight off on a daily basis . Trade routes to get established and lots of lives to change . But when he meets Maria his life changes again. He brings her home after she was kidnapped by pirates . He is smitten and works to deem himself worthy of her love . Which he works hard for years to finally claim his love . He goes through so many adventures and trials through out his life . Some of the great and some of them that will break your heart

The characters are very well written and complex. Walter is a complex guy and when he sits down and writes his memories . We see a young boy trying to make his way in the world . We watch him grow from a child to a man with great morals and he has a great sense of right and wrong . His best friend Bart started out as his commander but became his friend and confidante. He is actually a real hoot to read . You want him to be gruff and growly but he makes you laugh through out the book . Maria is sweet and kind and actually tough as nails . We get to see her grow up and fall in love with Walter . She is his rock when he needs it . You will fall in love with these guys . Trust me you will want to hug each and everyone of them
This is my first book by this author and man I must say I truly enjoyed reading . The author takes us on an adventure that will have you turning pages all night long .  You can almost hear the wind in the sails and the clanging of the swords . I really enjoyed the story and honestly felt like I was transported back to the 1700's . I Walter is that book for those who love historical books that has swash buckling characters . romance and some intrigue . With lovable characters and a great back drop . This is the story for you .  So if you want a book that will keep you up all night reading this is the book for you .

WELCOME TO SUNDAY ALL

Welcome to Sunday all , hope your weekend has gone well . Today we are going to review a new author to me and her cool twist on fae . Amy Bearce and her book FAIRY KEEPER ( World of Aluvia)

                            BOOK BLURB

Forget cute fairies in pretty dresses.

In the world of Aluvia, most fairies are more like irritable, moody insects, and almost everyone views the fairy keeper mark as a gift. But not fourteen-year-old Sierra. She hates being a fairy keeper, but the birthmark is right there on the back of her neck. It shows everyone she was born with the natural ability to communicate, attract, and even control the tiny fairies whose nectar is amazingly powerful.

Fairy nectar can heal people, but it is also a key ingredient in synthesizing Flight, an illegal elixir that produces dreaminess, apathy and hallucinations. She’s forced to care for a whole hive of the bee-like beasties by her Flight-dealing, dark alchemist father.

Then one day, Sierra discovers the fairies of her hatch are mysteriously dead. The fairy queen is missing. Her father’s Flight operation is halted, and he plans to make up for the lost income by trading her little sister to be an elixir runner for another dark alchemist, a dangerous thug. Desperate to protect her sister, Sierra convinces her father she can retrieve the lost queen and get his operation up and running.

The problem? Sierra’s queen wasn’t the only queen to disappear. They’re all gone, every single one, and getting them back will be deadly dangerous.

Sierra journeys with her best friend and her worst enemy—assigned by her father to dog her every step—to find the missing queens. Along the way, they learn that more than just her sister’s life is at stake if they fail.

There are secrets in the Skyclad Mountains where the last wild fairies were seen. The magic Sierra finds there has the power to transform their world, but only if she can first embrace her calling as a fairy keeper.

                     MY REVIEW

This is a ya story about a young girl who keeps fairies and harvests their nectar . Sierra is a fairy keeper and actually really hates doing what she is doing . The fairies are actually evil little devils  She is a natural fairy keeper and the proof is in the birthmark on her neck for all to see . That means she can communicate with the fairies . Until the day she comes to the hive and finds out most of her fairies are dead and the queen is missing . With her little sister traded to a dark man and her best friend dogging Sierra's every move she must find the missing queens and get her sister back . The road is dangerous and the secrets of the Skyclad mountain's wild fairies were seen . Will Sierra find her sister and the power that could change her life forever  but will she embrace her calling
I truly enjoyed the characters in this book . Sierra has a fierce loyalty to here sister Phoebe . She truly loves her and would do anything for her . Sierra is your typical teenager in some ways . She has mistrusts and a bit of hostility towards her friend Nell . And she has some real awkwardness when Corbin is around. Then there is Micah well there is more awkwardness and well feelings that she just doesn't understand. Then there is the hatred for her father which I will tell you is really warranted . He is a vile vile man . These characters are so well written and you will love them . They will get into your heart and let you love them .
This is the first book I have read of this author. This is a book for tweens and teens but adults can read it also . The author's description of the Aluvia is vivid and the imagery she uses brings the world and her characters to life with passion and gusto . You will get sucked in by the second chapter . You will love the characters and the story line . Your kids will love it to . There are a few areas where you might thing you have it all figured out but the author will take you in a different direction . So if you want a twist in the fairy story line check it out . This would be a great book for you tweens reading list this fall .

                            BOOK BLURB

This novella is a prequel to Dragon's Fire.
It is time to look to the past for clues, because war is coming...
It was the year 7529, sixty-eight years before the events of Dragon’s Fire. Absell & Arden, two Drakari priests, leave their jungle paradise of Karthusa, on a quest to recover a long lost artifact. An artifact so powerful, so dangerous, it would forever alter the course of history. As they draw closer to their prize, they dig into the artifact’s past, and the pivotal moments in history it altered. So began their quest for the Elder Stone. (less)

                         MY REVIEW

This is a prequel to TAMING THE DRAGON . It is Absell and Arden's story . The two Drakari priests are on a journey to find a long lose artifact . The artifact is powerfrul and dangerous it can change the history . But will they survive the ordeal and fix the moments in history . Will they survive looking for the Elder stone .
This book is a short but powerful book . The characters are very well written and complex. Absell and Arden are very well written , Absell is the mentor and Arden is his apprentice . They are out on a great adventure and while on the boat Absell tells a history which sets up the backdrop for all things to come . There are also Orcs and men that help tell the story and the history .
This story can be read as a stand alone but it really sets up for the first book . The author really tells a great story. This story is full of passion and mystery you will finish it in one sitting . The book is easy to read and you will fall in love with the characters. This is an epic way to start of a series . So if you want a great story that will set up for the rest of the series .

WELCOME TO FRIDAY

Woohooo its Friday , and I am glad it is the start of weekend . To start of the weekend right we have a cool series for you to read . I am really starting to like this author and his writing . DIVISION ZERO  by Matthew S Cox.

                            BOOK BLURB

Most cops get to deal with living criminals, but Agent Kirsten Wren isn’t most cops.

A gifted psionic with a troubled past, she possesses a rare combination of abilities that makes her a powerful weapon against paranormal threats. Adrift in a society that fears people like her, she feels alone in a city of millions.

In 2418, rampant violence and corporate warfare have left no shortage of angry wraiths. Most are little more than fleeting shadows or eerie whispers in the darkness, but every so often, one gathers enough strength to threaten the living.

A series of attacks by androids known as dolls leave the normal police baffled. Unable to explain what made the machines malfunction, they punt the case to Division 0. Kirsten’s investigation into who – or what – is behind the random murders soon makes her a target for corporate assassins.

Despite her past, and the cynical city around her, she clings to the belief that no one is beyond redemption. Alas, the killer is desperate to claim as many innocent souls as possible, and one might just be hers.

                     MY REVIEW
Welcome to the future 2418 where being a police officer means that you are trying to keep the rampant violence down . But if you are also a police officer that is also a psionic you will be battling the ghosts . Meet Kristen Wren a young psionic and police officer . She has a talent to track and kill ghosts .. When a series of attacks puts Kristen on the case . She is now in the cross hairs for corporate assassins and a vengeful ghost . Will she survive to close the case or will she become one of the killers victims .
I truly fell in love with the main character Kristen , you really feel for her . She has been through hell and back with her family . Even in the big city she feels alone and actually kind of scared. Her special powers have her chasing ghosts and she well doesn't like it . She has so many feelings and sometimes she is scared . You just want to wrap her up in a blanket and hug her tight .  As you read her though she really does become a strong character and she really does come into her own . With her best friend Nicole and Dorian keep her grounded and help her figure everything out . Oh and there is something special about Dorian that kind of made me go wow .
This book is a mix of sci fi and paranormal . Which the author mixes quite well. The characters are very well written and complex . You really feel for them and want to care for them . The author has a way with words and can really paint a picture .But there were just a couple of times I felt like I needed to look up a couple of words . other then that this story had me sucked in by the second chapter . This book so has a blade runner / ghost buster vibe . Its dark and gritty with some comic relief . You will get sucked in  and want to figure out what the heck is happening along with the rest of us . So add this book to you fall reading list . You will not be disappointed

GOOD THURSDAY ALL

Good Thursday or what I like to say happy Friday Eve all . Today we are going to review a new genre to me Steampunk Westerns . TREASURE DARKLY by Jordan Elizabeth

                           BOOK BLURB

Seventeen-year-old Clark Treasure assumes the drink he stole off the captain is absinthe… until the chemicals in the liquid give him the ability to awaken the dead.

A great invention for creating perfect soldiers, yes, but Clark wants to live as a miner, not a slave to the army—or the deceased. On the run, Clark turns to his estranged, mining tycoon father for help. The Treasures welcome Clark with open arms, so he jumps at the chance to help them protect their ranch against Senator Horan, a man who hates anyone more powerful than he.

Sixteen-year-old Amethyst Treasure loathes the idea of spending the summer away from her bustling city life to rot on her father’s ranch, but when a handsome young man shows up claiming to be her secret half-brother, her curiosity is piqued. He’s clever, street smart, and has no qualms jumping into the brawl between the Treasures and Horans. Caught in the middle, Horan kidnaps Amethyst, and all she gets is this lousy bullet through her heart.

When Clark brings her back to life, however, the real action starts, and Amethyst joins him in his fight against the Horan clan—whatever the cost. Defeating the Horans may seem easy at first, but going up against men with the same fighting vengeance as Clark, and a Senator with power he’s obtained by brainwashing the masses?

Well, Amethyst’s boring summer at home has turned into an adventure on the run, chock full of intrigue, danger, love, and a mysterious boy named Clark.

                         MY REVIEW
This was an intriguing read and a new sub genre for me . Clark had a hard life and when he drinks something he thought was absinthe , his life gets turned upside down and he is wanted by the army . Because he can raise the dead and they want to use him to build the ultimate army . When he heads West to the Treasure ranch . Where they take him in as part of the family when he shows the letter and picture .  Where he meets Amethyst the daughter. She is smitten with Clark and wants to know more about him . When she gets kidnapped and shot Clark brings her back to life . Now the adventure begins and will they survive the danger .
The characters in this book had me in a tizzy. Clark is a sweet boy that has been through so much . He grew up to be a strong independent man who is on the run . Sometimes he comes of shy and quiet but he is always thinking and trying to figure things out . Always looking over his shoulder to see if the army is on his heels . Now Amethyst to me is a spoiled little brat that honestly needs to be turned over a knee and spanked hard. She really kind of grated on my nerves . She whined and tried to guilt people into doing things for her . I just really couldn't like her through most of the book . She did start to redeem herself towards the end . After she got shot she seemed to grow up just a little . They were a cute couple when they were together and they really shined when they were doing their missions for someone . Not going to spoil it for you by telling you what they were doing .
The book is a good read . It started of with a great steam punk elements . It was dark and gritty and had a great western feel to it . But then it seemed the author kind of switched it up to a bodice ripper type of western . The main characters just seemed they couldn't keep they hands off each other. It kind of took away from the story for me .  There were spots that seemed to lag a bit for me also . Over all I did enjoy this story and really want to see where the author will take the characters. I believe that she has a great idea and her characters have great potential will read more from this author . So if you want a good story with some grit , intrigue and insta love this is a good book for you ,

GOOD WEDNESDAY

Well its is Wednesday aka hump day . Hope everyone is surviving the week and the winding down of summer . Today we are going to review M Robinson's new book LOST BOY  and ladies you are really going to love the cover of this book trust me.

                            BOOK BLURB

From USA Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes this standalone contemporary romance full of feels and angst...

In a world where I had no say, violence became my refuge, and nothing else mattered.
Not even my own life.
Until her.
Skyler Bell.
It all started the first time I heard that voice. Giving me hope for tomorrow. My first love was everything all at once.
Consuming.
Maddening.
Forever.
Mine.
Except, I never imagined there were secrets that needed to be shared. Lies that needed to be confessed. Truths that needed to be told.
Demons that needed to be buried.
Once I realized the depth, the longing, the sadness and sorrow in her eyes mirrored mine, it was too late. Love didn't come to me as heartbreak, it came as everything I've ever wanted. Walking away wasn't an option, but it was the only choice I had.
I finally found the price of love and it cost me...
My soul.

                 MY REVIEW
I kind of did a happy dance when I found out that Noah Jamison was getting his own story . When we first met him in ROAD TO NOWHERE. He was young and kind of cocky then but he was also a little naïve .  He grew up in violence and the unyielding father who only knew how to hit to get his point across . Then one day everything changed when he heard an angel singing in the river . That's when his life changed and she became his saving grace but also a demon that haunts him . Skye Bell ,a young actress who is attracted to the rough sexy biker. But she has demons of her own that keeps them from getting together . They keep coming together but will their demons keep them apart or will they be able to exercise those demons to be with the each other .
The characters in this are so well written and very complex . There are times you just want to wrap them up and hug them tight . They both are such strong characters . Noah there are moments you want to just hug him and tell him everything will be ok . When he is helping his mother you really see him as a sweet lovable kid . Just trying to help out the one person who loved him. Then we see his other side where he is just full of anger and is taking it out on anyone that gets in his way . He is such a tortured man and we can feel his pain . Now Skye well what can we say about Skye . She seems like she has two personalities . We have the sweet Skye that loves just to be and then we have the Skye that is on for her fans and the media . She is a sweet woman but sometimes she comes off as naïve and you just want to give her a shake . Then when you see her other side you just want to hug her and tell her everything will be ok . Then you really want to slap her for the way she treats Noah. There were times she wasn't really nice to him . But like I said they both have their demons that will either heal them or destroy them . There are characters in this book you really just want to hate so badly Keith is that character , he has used and abused Skye from the first moment he became her manager . You really just want to stab Keith over and over . Trust me on this one
The author takes us on a very emotional roller coaster ride . There are some scenes in this book that aren't for the faint of heart . There is alcoholism , rape, drugs and more . But the author will rip out your heart and then repair it . This is a stand alone but if you want to know more about Noah read ROAD TO NOWHERE also. You will get sucked in from the first page . Be prepared for a book that will have you screaming at your kindle over and over . You will be ping ponging between the love they share and the demons that pull them apart. This is book of first love and last love and all the stuff that goes on in between . So if you want to have a book that will rip out your heart over and over and then have it sewn back together . This is the book for you . Add this one to your fall reading list  I promise this book will not disappoint you .
