                                           MY REVIEW
Lets see what can I say about this book . Let me start by saying Cathy has done it again. I have a vested interest in these characters since book one . I feel like they are all part of my family.
This is the continuation of Johnny and Evie's story. Johnny is trying hard to become what Evie wants him to be . But she is torn between two men. Both brothers and she needs to figure things out. Will she pick the right man for her .
Cathy has written such strong characters that are complex but so sweet and caring. The Westerling men are all amazing men who love their women and have a faith in God that is non wavering. The women Phee and Evie have been through hell and finally have come to love and acceptance . Evie is torn between the two men David and Johnny , one is the perfect man and the other trying to find his way back.
Cathy takes us on a journey through the highs and lows and back up to the highs. You will shed some tears and have some giggles . But you will be sucked into the story and you will want them to all have their HAPPILY EVER AFTERS. So check it out if you want a series that has heart and soul and will make you hug your family just a little harder after you are done .

welcome to Thursday

Good Thursday everyone , hope your week is going well and you are getting a lot of reading done . Today we have a great book that will make you think . THEY CATALYST OF PROVIDENCE ( The Schwarzschild Radius) by CJ Klein

                            BOOK BLURB
In book one of the Schwarzschild Radius: An accident places Craig in a position to prove a theory others have a hard time believing. He chooses to bear all the consequences for the one chance to pull the curtain on what most think utterly impossible while in his mind he has an opportunity to clean up a few wrongs along the way.

Natasha takes her position seriously, which leaves her torn when faced with facts and issues surrounding her once close friend. A friend she now hunts, causing her to question the reality around her as it seems to change in a blink of an eye.

When the truth is revealed and a juxtaposition to the reality most people know happens, what do they do? How far will they go to unveil a spectacular reality? A reality that essentially if you believe in, could cost you everything.

                       MY REVIEW
When I first started this book , I was like oh my this book is way over my head. But as I got past the prologue I became intrigued . I got sucked into the story. It is a sci fi book but it also so much more. You are taken on a journey that has you wondering what is really up with Craig and Natasha. They seem like friends but there is more to them and as you read. You wonder how they and if they will survive .
The author has written some very strong characters. Craig is a man of mystery and has a vendetta to take care of. He is strong and determined to get free. He has a special gift that people have used and exploited and now he wants revenge. He is a cross between Jason Bourne and James Bond. He is tough and smart . Natasha is a very strong willed woman who is torn between helping him and hunting him down. She chases him across the country , he stays one step ahead of her . As he enacts his revenge.  They are super characters to actually read.

This book is a mix between THE X FILES and the Da Vinci Code. You are taken for a ride that mixes both science and intrigue. The author does a great job taking us on journey that makes us think .  Like I said when I started reading the prologue I honestly thought I was so in over my head . But when I hit chapter one , the prologue made sense to me. The author seamless wrote both the sci fi and the intrique into the book . You get emotionally involved and watch as they play cat and mouse with each other . The book is action packed and a read that will suck you in fast . So check it out if you want a smart Sci fi read that will have you thinking after you are done .

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE

Good morning world, hope you are all having a great week. Today we are reviewing THE SECOND TIME AROUND ( The Belanger Creek Ranch book one ) by Gloria Antypowich

                           BOOK BLURB
Sparks fly when Frank Lamonte and Colt Thompson meet. There is an explosion of anger, based on misinformation and suspicion: but there is also an undeniable attraction. Thirty-six fateful hours set the stage for a lifetime of consequences.

Veterinarian, Frank Lamonte, comes to Belanger Creek Ranch to work as a ranch hand after her boss recognizes her growing symptoms of depression and insists she take a leave of absence. She is reeling from a series of emotional blows, the final one being a broken engagement. He tells her to leave town for a while and give her ravaged emotions a chance to heal, without constantly facing reminders of the past. She's determined to get better quickly, and nothing will stand in her way.…that is, until she meets the owner of Belanger Creek Ranch. Her attraction to him could end her plans, even though she thinks otherwise.

After divorcing the cheating wife who destroyed his dreams, Colt Thompson has become a bitter and cynical man. Being vulnerable once broke his heart; allowing it to happen twice will never happen. He will make certain that he never falls in love again. When he finds Frank Lamonte at the ranch, he makes up his mind that she is a liar and a cheat. He will not let himself be attracted to her, even though the tension sizzles.

Will Frank and Colt open their hearts to true love?

Or, will Colt do everything he can to protect his heart? Will he wed Shauna Lee Holt, his “friends with benefits” woman; a woman he doesn’t love?

Will Frank take a risk and make him think again? Will she settle back into the state of depression that resulted in her coming to Belanger Creek Ranch? When Dr. Jason Winters DVM arbitrarily put her on leave of absence, he told her to deal with her emotional trauma. He promised that her job as a veterinarian at his clinic would be waiting, when she was mentally healthy. Will she jeopardize all her opportunities?

Heartache lies ahead for these two intractable characters, and neither one of them will make wise choices along the way.

                           MY REVIEW
Ok I fell in love with this book by just the cover alone . As I started to read , I got sucked into the story of second chances and falling in love.  Set on a cattle ranch in South Western Saskatchewan . Where two broken souls come together , with misunderstandings and broken hearts . They find each other but will they survive and find their way back to each other .
Lets just say this , this book will make you laugh and cry and then laugh some more . The characters are so well written and complex. She writes such strong female characters . They are independent and not conceited at all. Frank fits that ideal to a tee. She is strong independent but doesn't realize what kind of reaction she has over the men in her life . She has this inner spark that can't be blown out. She has had hardships and is suffering from depression from the tragedy . But she doesn't wallow and heads out to a new adventure. As she works at the ranch she grows stronger and we see the true Frank come out . The strong woman, with a tender side . She knows when to go after what she wants and knows when to step back when things aren't going right . Even though it might mean heart break again. She is a fighter and fighting she does . Colt is the man she fights with. This man is hot and sexy and quite the alpha man , but also has the sweet sensitive side. He is there to help his family when they need him . But he is also holding onto a bunch of hurt . He is tough but tender and will protect what is his . He is the type of guy you want in your corner and take home to your mom . But like most men he jumps to conclusions and has a temper and he admits when he is wrong .
The supporting cast of characters are so fun to read . I won't go into details but Ollie is my all time favorite characters, he like the comic relief / father figure to both the main characters . You really feel for the position he is put in and you can see he really wants to knock some heads together.
I absolutely fell in love with this book , like I said she has based the story on a ranch in South Western Saskatchewan. In the Cypress hills near Maple Creek and Swift Current . She paints a great picture of what Saskatchewan is about . The story blends right into the area and flows so well . I started reading it in the morning and finished in a day . I couldn't put it down . I loved the characters and the story . I actually shed some tears and laughed a lot while reading this book. As soon as I finished book one I started book two. I just had to know what happened . I also like that the author brought the characters back in book two. I like to know what happens to them as you read . But they don't take away from what is happening in the rest of the books . I adore this set of books for so many reasons . But most of all that they are great books written with such a passion and a love .  So if you want a sweet contemporary romance with a cowboy flair . This is the series for you . So check them out. Colt and Frank will sweep you off your feet

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE

Happy Friday everyone , its the start of the weekend and I have a great book that you all might like . LOUSIIANA MAN by Lloyd Antypowich.

                           BOOK BLURB
"There was never a stronger desire that flows through the veins of a Louisiana man to be a cowboy than in Tom Menzer. At nineteen, he had made a good start to do that, but Pontchartrain, Louisiana, did not seem to be the right place, so he turned his horse west and headed for Texas where the real cowboys came from. The life he lived is nothing more than a harrowing experience. If he made friends with the native Indians, then the white man would hate him, would call him a squaw man, and would tell him that his life was worth nothing more than the average Indian. If he took the side of the white man, then the Indians would look to lift his scalp. Tom was not a killer, and he hated killing. But he found himself wearing a necktie that was just seconds away from taking his life by some soldiers that were paid by a very rich rancher to dispose of him.
It was after that he vowed never to be caught by the law.
He traveled north to Oklahoma where he made friends with a village of natives. There he hunted and contributed his share of food for the village. The chief rewarded him with his daughter. When she was a little baby still on her mother’s breast, her family was massacred by the natives. She was found crying under some small bushes, and a warrior took her and gave her to the chief whose wife was nursing a young son and nursed her to become a very lovely maiden. The chief later told Tom that his wife was not native, and he had waited a long time to find the right man for his daughter.
When the horse thieves tried to kill him and harm his wife and family, it was only then that he used his gun to kill the thieves. Suffering from the buckshot in his back, he had a man at a fort near Calgary dig the pellets out with his hunting knife. You can read on and find out how Tom and Raven Feather learned to love each other in a deep and enduring way.

                               MY REVIEW
I started reading Louisiana man and got lost in the pages. I was transported back to a time where the west was being won. The cowboys that were coming out west trying to settle the land. The natives that were already established and the wars that went on between them .   This book is a fictionalized tale of actual events in the gentleman's life . We go on the adventure that will take us from Oklahoma to Texas and across the border into Canada . Which as I was reading , I really got excited as the author talked about the rodeos in Calgary, Grand Prairie and racing ind Edmonton. I felt very proud of my country as he wrote about them .  So lets go back in time and meet Tom. Patchy Mex , Ross and Raven Feather. Best friends that went through so much in their lives .
The author has written some pretty interesting characters . They are so diverse but they are best of friends that will help each other out in everything . Tom the main character has just always wanted to start his own ranch and raise horses . He is a no nonsense guy that wants to be friends with everyone. He is sweet but also tough, to do what he does . He goes through so much and comes out the other side stronger and even more determined to survive and thrive. Patchy and Mex are his best friends and they are there for him and help him out. They are hard working characters and they have their moments in the spot light every now and then. They remind me of the old ranch hands you see in the westerns , the guys chewing tobacco and spitting . They actually made me laugh a couple of times .
Raven Feather is my favorite character, she is there for Tom and is in love with him, even when he is kind of dense about it . She is his best friend and is willing to do the work that the men do.  When she does become Tom's wife, they become like one , doing everything together and helping out the community and the tribes . The characeters were well written and you felt like you were sitting in the saddle right beside them .
This would be a book was such a great read, I had a hard time putting it down . I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. To see a book that was also about breaking horses and training them . Well made this country girl feel a giddy inside. The story was well written and the author did his research . Especially reading about the Canadian spots and the rodeos that went with those spots . This book also mad me cry at the end . You honestly don't see that kind of love anymore now a days .
I cant wait to read the author's other books . I know my grandfather would of loved this book , if he was alive today to read it . So if you want western adventure check it out .

Good Wednesday everyone . Today we are going to review a different type of zombie book . Welcome to ZOMBIE SEED  by PM Barnes

                            BOOK BLURB
The world has changed but there are just some things Claire can't let go of. Haunted by the past and visions of carnage, she tries to make sense of the current landscape.
This proves to be harder than expected with the addition of new challenges and new love.
Journey through the first installment of the post-apocalyptic series and find out what happens when nowhere is safe, not even your own mind.

                            MY REVIEW
From the very first paragraph of this book , I knew that this wasn't your typical zombie book.  The author puts a fresh twist on the zombie genre . Which is quite refreshing to read, it takes the zombie to a new level. To think of them as more then drooling flesh eating mindless creatures .
The characters were very complex, Claire is a woman who just can't let go of the past . She had it all but now she is thrown into the chaos.  Trying to make sense of what is going on and trying to survive.  She is surrounded some very hot strong men who are having their own challenges . Each of them is haunted by something that they just can't understand . The author has written these characters very well and fleshed them out very well .
The author takes us on a emotional ride. the way the characters feel and how scared they are . This book is not for the faint of heart. You will have a wild ride . There is some really hot sex scenes in this book that will leave you wanting more . This is a fast paced novella and you will finish it in a day . It will suck you in and next thing you know you are done .  I can't wait to see the next book in the series to come out. So if you want a nice quick read with a zombie twist and some hot sex thrown in check it out.

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE

Good Tuesday morning everyone. I was very honored when I got an advanced  copy of L.M Pruitt's new book. INSTRUCTION

                            BOOK BLURB
Taylor Allerton's speakeasy is one of the hottest nightclubs in Manhattan. Young, rich, and beautiful, she can have any man she wants--and usually does.

Namir Adeem just became the youngest partner at one of the most prestigious accounting firms in Manhattan. His determination to bring honor to his family leaves no time for any relationship.

When Taylor discovers just how sheltered Namir is, she takes it upon herself to give him the education he deserves.

Some things can't be taught in school....

                        MY REVIEW
Let me introduce you to Taylor Allerton and Namir Adeem. Two very different people . That are drawn together and the sparks fly , but can the sheltered accountant and the rich party girl survive each other and the pressures from those around them.
OMG lets see what are the first words out of my mouth about L.M's new book . ITS HOT and I mean scorching . The chemistry between the two main characters is unbelievable. The sexual tension just pours off the page.  The story line is pretty unique also , usually the woman is the one who is sheltered and the man is usually the one with all the experience. The author did a great job in twisting the characters and giving the female character the one that does the teaching as to say . She did a great job portraying each character and his or her problems with commitment.
Taylor is a spoiled rich girl, who also opened up a speakeasy . She has never had a relationship all she wants from men is sex. Then she discards them like yesterdays old newspapers . She hops form one scandal to another. Until the day she meets Namir , the accountant that is sent to check up on her. From the first moment she flirts with him , she sees something in his eyes, something that she has to explore.
Namir is a strong man, of Iranian descent , who lives with his brother and sister . He is the youngest partner in the accounting firm. He is a workaholic and really has no time to date, seeing as he is helping his overbearing father. That is until the day he meets Taylor and everything is thrown out the window. He is taken for the ride of his life under her tutelage. It is a switch to him being pursued . He is sweet and kind, and he is a good student .
The author takes us on a journey that will keep you turning the pages . I strongly suggest that you find a comfortable spot and have an iced cold beverage or a cold fan blowing. Trust me your kindle will be scorching hot as you read. I had to fan myself a couple of times as I read , The phone sex scene alone was unbelievably hot . When you read it you will understand. All I can say is L.M has done it again. So if you want a good hot read to wind down the summer with check out INTSTRUCTION  you won't be disappointed one bit .

GOOD SATURDAY EVERYONE

Good Saturday all , hope you are have a great weekend . Today we are going to review one of my favorite indie authors . Welcome to POKEGIEST by Michael Phillip Cash.

                            BOOK BLURB

Sometimes life, as well as death, is about second chances. Luckless Telly Martin doesn't have a clue. An awful gambler trying to scrape by as a professional poker player, he becomes the protégé of world famous poker champion Clutch Henderson. The only catch…Clutch is a ghost. Telly and Clutch must navigate the seedy gambling underbelly of Las Vegas learning to trust each other in order to win the elusive International Series of Poker, repair their shattered personal relationships and find redemption in this life and the hereafter.

                           MY REVIEW
Pokergiest is the best of both worlds . We have a ghost story but also as a story of redemption and true love. Welcome to the world poker championship where we meet Clutch Henderson.  A poker champ that has chased the gold bracelet most of his life.  Before he has a chance he dies and is hanging around as a ghost . He is so absorbed in his own life he can't pass on. Until the day he meets Telly Martin an unemployed computer geek , who has lost his job and is hopeless at poker . Now together they just might redeem themselves in the eyes of the ones that love  them.

The author takes us on a journey into the high stakes poker world . Where you can be on top one moment and down on the luck the next. The characters are quirky and lovable and some characters from his other books make an appearance in this book. Which I loved to see, they are all so part of his books. Georgia the physic is back in this book. She is a quirky lady that I have fallen in love with. Clutch is your everyday guy that has taken advantage of the people in his life and hasn't really thought of what he is doing to them . You kind of wanted to slap him a few times  and boy he was a pain in poor Telly's butt. But like all Michaels characters you will love him and will be cheering for him all the way trough the book. But really Clutch isn't the main character in the book  Telly is . Tell is a unlucky guy in love with his soul mate and wants to make it for her. She lets him live his dream . He is the guy next door that is lovable and does have some faults but over all is a loving guy . Who wants to live the dream. There is a cast of supporting characters that are all connected in a way.  They are all connected from the past and the present. As you read the story you will understand .

This was a fast read for me, I got caught up in the story . If fascinated me how the author used poker in the story line . You are transported to the fast paced poker world . Where fortunes are won and lost in a blink of an eye . The story moves at pretty quick pace and a lot happens in those pages . The cab scene had me giggling. There are some really fun scenes and some very poignant scenes that will actually make you tear up. You will feel for the characters that are left behind . You will also want to slap a couple also. The ending will get you , I couldn't believe it, it was a great way to end it. I loved this book , so if you want a good ghost story with redemption combined . This is the book for you  check our POKERGIEST , you will enjoy it.

GOOD WEDNESDAY ALL

Welcome to Wednesday everyone . Hope you are all having a great week . Today we are going to review . THE LOST CITY THE CHAMPIONS OF DARKNESS .  Book three in THE LOST CITY SERIES by D.L COLON

                          BOOK BLURB
After the events in Puerto Rico, after the declaration of the New Savior of the world, Noryad King, defeated Raphael, Commander of the Destroyers and taken away his powers, Lucifer has been forced to send someone to look for a new Champion who would be able to defeat Noryad King.

While looking in Hell, the guard she sent found a long condemned prophet who was screaming, “The Champions of Darkness have been set free.” And he immediately reported back to Lucifer.

Who are these Champions of Darkness the prophet speaks of?

Is The Lost City Ready for this?

                       MY REVIEW
Welcome to hell , after the great war, Lucifer is forced back to hell. Boy she is not happy about that either . So she is on the hunt for a champion. The one demon or person that will be able to defeat the all mighty Noryad and his legions . She is having a rough time hunting for that guardian . Until the day the condemned prophet is found . Now Lucifer has to find the champion and will he fight for her and will  THE LOST CITY  by ready for the war to come.
I was happy to see that Lucifer got her own story , she really needed to have her story told. In this particular series the author has done a twist and made Lucifer a woman . Its nice to see that twist. She is the type of character that you like , you think she could be bad or good . But she loves to be bad its so much fun. She really likes to toy with the men around her, but really wants to win also. When she meets Osiris , she has found her champion. Not know that Osiris has a secret of his own. He is a warrior that will fight but for something in return . He is a strong character that blends nicely with Lucifer. Maybe a love match there in the end . Just a thought .
This was a nice quick read for me . The author shows us both sides of the war. Not just the good guys side , which to me was very intriguing. Showing them as more human then the names they have . The story flows well and has twists and turns that will make you WOW . It bridges what I think will happen in the next full length book. Give us more insight. So if you want to read a good fantasy series check out THE LOST CITY

good Sunday morning all

Good Sunday morning all . Hope your weekend is going well and you are having fun doing what you are doing . If you are looking for that next book I think I have just the one for you . MY SOUL TO KEEP (THE BLESSED book one ) by Marianne Morea

                            BOOK BLURB
"Angels are neither good nor bad, Alexa. Unlike humans our will is bound by the divine. We do God's bidding and our tasks are not always pleasant or fair. We aren't frescoed characters hovering over humanity ensuring happiness. Sometimes what we bring comes in the form of destruction."

"I thought Angels were supposed to inspire love."

"Love? Yeah, well…that's where the lines get a little blurred."

Rescued from a nightmare, Alexa Burrell finds herself in the middle of a war. One where she's the unlikely key to keeping good and evil in check. Only problem? She must walk between worlds to do so. Dangerous passions seethe between her and the warrior angel sent to protect her the closer she gets to fulfilling her destiny. Can she resist, knowing heaven and earth hang in the balance?

                           MY REVIEW
Lets enter the world of Angels, the good, the bad and the fallen.  I have always loved angel books and this one was no exception.  As I started reading I was instantly pulled in. The way the author puts a twist  into the story line by having scions , or angel touched women into the mix of the good versus evil . But really is it as black and white as good versus evil . Everyone has the shades of grey that go along with the good and evil.
I absolutely loved the characters in this book. They are complex and you can see their struggles . Rafe and Alexa are so drawn to each other  and its hot , I mean hot. And Samuel oh my  Samuel. He is so tortured you kind of want to wrap him up in a soft warm hug and take away his pain. But then on the other hand you want to slap him up side the head and tell him to snap out of it . But omg he is one sexy fallen angel, all brooding and sexy singer . Yeah he could break a few hearts. There is Luce aka Lucifer . He is smooth talking and debonair. But truly evil.  There so many supporting characters what work so well in this story . They bring a lot to the story with out over powering the story line. They are very well written and I know that everyone that reads it will find the character that they love . OK I ADMIT IT. I have a thing for Samuel , yes  I  am a sucker for the broken tortured soul.
The author takes us on a great adventure in this book. I mean how many books take you to the seventh circle of hell and back and have fun doing it . This author does it  and does it well . She mixes the relatively heaven angel stuff with great pop culture phases .  She also wrote one of the best lines I think I have ever read in a book .
" If it wasn't for his celestial self control he would of shoved his tongue so far down her throat he could of licked her clit ."
I mean come on that is one awesome line . I giggled so hard when I read that one . The author does a great job updating the story of Angels and making them not so good, she made them real in my eyes . She also introduces us to gargoyles and little animals called azures . This is a real page turner and once you start , you will not put down until the end. I started this book in the morning and by the time I realized the time I was half way through the book . The story moved as such a good pace and you will let out a few OMGS along the way . So if you want a great story full of hot guardian angels and the scion women that will kick some ass. This is the new book for you . Come on and check out

welcome to saturaday

Today, we are featuring Starry Knight by Nina Mason, the author of The Queen of Swords and Devil in Duke's Clothing, among other books. Starry Knight is Ms. Mason's fifth novel and the first in a new erotic paranormal/urban fantasy series titled The Knights of Avalon. The series--which combines paranormal and occult elements with Celtic and Arthurian legend--tells the story of four "knights" under the spell of the evil faery queen Morgan Le Fay.

                           BOOK BLURB
Can these star-crossed lovers bridge two worlds?
British aristocrat Vanessa Bentley has beauty, fame, and fortune, but she gets no respect for her decision to become a paranormal investigator. Determined to prove the naysayers wrong, Vanessa ventures to the misty moors of Caithness, Scotland. There stands the immense Castle Barrogill, where a vampire is rumored to be stalking the dungeons—a vampire Vanessa is determined to find. She’ll just have to get past the resident shape-shifter…

Callum Lyon is the gorgeous reclusive astrologer and faery knight who guards the castle. For free-spirited Vanessa, seducing him proves to be easy. After all, he was once a breeding drone to a Queen. But astrologically, their differences are harder to overcome. Will Vanessa’s mission—and Callum’s secrets—be more than their burgeoning love can take? Or will flesh—and blood—win over the ghosts that haunt them both? ….

                                MY REVIEW
Let me introduce you to Callum Lyon. a very hot yummy man , who is also a astrologer and a fairy knight .  He is happy in his life until he meets the beautiful Vanessa, a paranormal investigator who wants to find the vampire of Castle Barrogill. Sparks fly and wow oh wow what can I say . We they find the love that they both want and need or will they shine like the stars and fizzle out .
Wow Nina has done it again , she has written a book that is both sexy and thoughtful . She takes us on a journey from Avalon to modern day Scotland. We have star crossed lovers and some political intrigue  all in one book.   She takes through the land of the fairy with such ease . I wonder sometimes if she isn't a fairy herself . She writes it so well. She really did her research on this book

Good Thursday everyone . Today we are going to review WRONG PLACE , WRONG TIME .  by Tilia klebenov Jacobs

                           BOOK BLURB

When Tsara Adelman leaves her husband and two young children for a weekend to visit her estranged uncle, she little dreams he is holding several local children captive on his lavish estate. Mike Westbrook, father of one of the boys, kidnaps her to trade her life for the children's. Soon Tsara and Mike are fleeing through New Hampshire's mountain wilderness pursued by two rogue cops with murder on their minds.

                                 MY REVIEW
When Tsara receives an invitation to her estranged uncle's house for a weekend party . She doesn't realize that there is more going on there then the fabulous weekend . She is in the wrong place . She is taken hostage by a man , whose child is being held captive on the estate . He wants to trade her for his son. But there is more to this and soon Mike and Tsara are running through the mountains of New Hampshire trying to outrun two rogue cops out to get them. Will they survive and make sure everyone is alive at the end .
This is the first book I have read from this author . Lets just say I was not disappointed to say the least. The author took us on a roller coaster ride . We go between the mountains of New Hampshire and Mike and Tsara . To FBI  headquarters as they try and find them . It is so fast paced , I couldn't put it down. It was one of these books that actually gave me a book hangover. The characters are so strong but yet vulnerable. We see in Tsara a very strong woman who will do almost anything to escape. She will fight till the bitter end if she had to. She is comforted by her faith but also struggles at times .
Mike is a former marine that will do almost anything to get his son back. At the beginning you are really going to dislike him. He is the ultimate alpha that has some issues of his own to work out . But as you start to see Mike and come to understand what his is about and why he is doing this . You will really start to like this man. He seems broken and needs to be in control even when Tsara is trying to take the control into her hands . They seem to both want to be in control . Which you know usually ends up in disaster . Then there is uncle Cass the estranged uncle . He kind of gave me the creeps as I read . He seems like he is loved by the people in the small town but there is a darker side to him. He has kidnapped 6 young boys and has them on the estate . Then he goes on a murderous tirade when he is hunting down Mike and Tsara . So creepy so very creepy. Tilia writes very complex and layered characters that will make you think and will make you feel compassion towards them
This is a very fast paced book . It starts out with a bang and just keeps on rolling .  You will second guess yourself a few times . This book isn't just a very good mystery , you get to see how things go afterwards . You see the aftermath of what victims go through and how they handle it . Not always in a good way either. The story is complex and action packed, full of angst , mystery . action and regret. Then the redemption that comes with forgiving and peace of mind . So if you want a face paced book that will make you think and give you a book hangover. Check out WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME

good Tuesday morning everyone

Good morning everyone, well holidays are over and now back to the real world . Which means for me more and more reading. So back at it and today we are going to review RUIN & RULE ( PURE CORRUPTION book 1)

                       BOOK BLURB
"We met in a nightmare. The in-between world where time had no power over reason. We fell in love. We fell hard. But then we woke up. And it was over . . ."

RUIN & RULE

She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy . . .

He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.

Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?

RUIN & RULE is a full-length book at 436 pages and ends on a cliff
hanger. Cleo and Kill's story continues in SIN & SUFFER.

                       MY REVIEW
Welcome to the Pure Corruption biker gang. Kill is the leader of the gang and Cleo is the girl he loved a long time ago and when she comes back to him  as one of the girls that are going to be sold. Things get difficult for them . She is like a ghost and he is broken man . As she tries to regain her memory , he helps her as much as he can. They are hunted though and he needs to find her before its too late.
I was so excited when this book came out. I was so excited woohoo another Pepper hit. I started reading it and it took me awhile to actually get into the book. I kind of struggled with the first 4 chapters. I got through the chapters and then it started to pick up for me . The story started to move at a faster pace and you could really get into the characters and the story line.
Pepper's characters are always so complex and twisted and tortured . Kill and Cleo are no exception.
Kill is the leader of Pure Corruption but he is also bent on revenge for something that happened in his past. He is hot sexy and just so tortured. You don't know if you want to hold him or throw him on the bed and take him hard . He is the ultimate alpha , and any girl would want to ride into the sunset with him.  Cleo./Sarah on the other hand kind of bugged me . I know she had amnesia but she just to me was so whiny and clingy.  She fought against the memories at some points through out the book . But you do see her toughen up as the book went along.
Pepper does take us on a ride , through the twists through out the book.  It is the first book in the series so I know there is a lot of set up but to me it just wasn't as dark as I liked from Pepper. I felt that it seemed rushed and not like Pepper from her other books.  Over all I did like the book and I can't wait for the second book in the series .

GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE

Good Monday morning everyone . I hope you all had a fabulous weekend . Today we are going to review THE BOOK OF NONSENSE .( FORBIDDEN BOOKS 1) by David Michael Slater

                             BOOK BLURB
Before there were books, there were Words of Power, and those who spoke them could rule the world…

Dexter and Daphna Wax don’t quite fit in, even with each other. She loves reading and he loathes it, but neither is pleased by their “special” thirteenth birthday gift: a ruined old book full of nonsense.

But the moment it enters the twins’ lives, bizarre things begin to happen. Why is their father, who found the book, suddenly so distant? Is the old man who took it from him some kind of hypnotist? Why is a giant, red-eyed boy stalking them?

Now Dex and Daphna have to work together to stop the old man from ruining their lives. But as they unravel the secrets of The Book of Nonsense, they will discover the truth about their own extraordinary destiny.

                                         MY REVIEW
Welcome to the world of lost languages, rare books and scary men who want to control everything .  Welcome to the Book of Nonsense, the first book in the Forbidden book series . We are introduced to Dex  and Daphna a set of twins , they are as different as night and day . Dahpna is a book lover and Dex well not so much. He loathes it to be exact. They are thrown into a mystery when their father brings home a very rare book that the dealer at the new book store wants really bad . They have to work together so they can figure out the book of nonsense and unravel the clues that will show them the destiny that they are about to embark on.
I honestly can say that when I started reading this book I got sucked in right away . Being an avid reader I knew what Daphna felt like walking into the book store and how she felt when she read . There is nothing like a good book. The story takes off when their father brings home a rare book and shows it to Asterius Rash a very creepy and I mean creepy book dealer. But there is more to Asterius then meets the eye.  As you read more into the book you see that Asterius wants the twins to read for him and he uses some sort of mind control over their father and Emmett . The big strapping boy that is constantly following and spying on them. There are great clues hidden within the book about what lays ahead for the twins . They aren't done with Asterius and the book .
The characters are very well developed and complex. We have the twind Daphna an Dex who are on the verge of becoming teenagers and have their own problems . But. when push comes to shove they love each other and work together. Dahpna is a sweet but tough girl who wants to follow in her father's footsteps and Dex well he is the type of kid that could get into trouble at the drop of a hat but when push comes to shove he is there for his family. The author also has written about dyslexia and how Dex handles it. I thought that part was handled very well and added to the book and why Dex hated reading so much.
Asterius Rash is one of those characters that well for a lack of a better word could scare the pants right off of you . You know that there is something evil about him as you read but you just don't know how evil he can actually be. As you read you see him become the true evil that you know he is .There is a great supporting cast to help Dahpna and Dex out as they fight the evil that is coming .
This is such a good book for tor any pre teen in your life.  The twists and turns will keep them reading well into the night . The story is well developed and flows great . You see the good versus evil aspect through out the book . It runs along the same line as INKHEART about rare books . As you read this book you will get sucked into a world of magic and good triumphing over evil. You will cheer for Dahpna and Dex and you will want to read more . I am going to buy this book for my teen age nieces and nephews as gifts. Let them find out all about the BOOK OF NONSENSE  for themselves . I think this would make a great chirstmas gift for any teen or pre teen book lover . So check it out

IT IS COVER REVEAL DAY TODAY

Good Sunday morning all . Today we are going to reveal the cover for D.L Colon's new THE LOST CITY, CHAMPIONS OF THE DARKNESS . book 3 in the series

                              ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello Readers. My name isn't really D.L. Colon, but it is a play off of my real name. I am 23 years old and live in Puerto Rico. I started writing my first novel last year and I just recently published it. For me writing was a learning experience because my first language is Spanish and even though I speak English pretty fluently, grammar is not my strong suit. It may surprise you, but until four years ago I hated reading. I found my love for reading, and my inspiration to write, when I read The Summoner by Gail Z. Martin.

I have a Culinary Arts degree, which I'm planning on using when I move to the US early next year. On an interesting note, I got the idea for my first book, The Lost City: Drake's Revenge, from playing video games. I'm a gamer at heart, a writer by chance and a chef because it's something I love. I'm currently writing my second novel, which is the second book in The Lost City series. I hope you all enjoy my first novel and continue on with the series when the rest are released.
