WELL IT IS CHRISTMAS EVE EVE

Good morning my peeps , hope your Christmas prep is going good and you are all done and ready to celebrate the season . Today I have a Christmas book in the Haven Hollow series . THE YULE LOG  by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain

                            BOOK BLURB

It’s December 21 and the first night of the celebration of Yule!

Much to Lorcan’s feigned irritation, Wanda is in the midst of throwing a Yule celebratory party at one of his numerous residences within Haven Hollow.

But, yuletide exaltation is hardly on his mind. The only thing Lorcan can think about, other than the long and smooth line of Wanda’s delicate neck, is his Yule gift still awaiting her.

But, as with most things involving the vampire and the Blood Witch, not everything goes to plan.

When Lorcan imbibes one too many blood-chatas (ten, to be exact), memories of his unfortunate childhood revisit him and before he can stop himself, he’s waxing… well, not exactly poetic.

Faced with a ruined holiday party and feeling sorry for himself, Lorcan turns his anger on the Yule log, something which will prove to be quite the big mistake…

                    MY REVIEW

When Wanda throws an epic Yule party at his mansion , he is really non too thrilled . Well we know from past experiences with Wanda and Lorcan things don't always go as planned . When Lorcan over does it on the blood - chatas , his past childhood traumas come back and before he knows it he is throwing a hissy fit and throws everyone out of the party including the Yule log. Which like all things concerning Lorcan and Wanda is a big mistake . Will they be able to stop what happens before Yule is ruined for all and Lorcan ends up getting a lightning bolt where the sun doesn't shine .

Omg I love this story and I absolutely love Lorcan and Wanda so much .  Lorcan is such a fun character , in this novella he is trying really hard to keep thing civil with Wanda and keeping his lust to a low level and her . He is so tortured through out this book and I feel for him.  Wanda is back as the temptress she is to Lorcan and when things go awry. They are such a fun couple even when they are fighting there is a chemistry between them . I love them together as a couple and want to see that finally happen for them .

This is such a fun story to read during the Christmas season . It is a fun fast little read that will keep entertained . The authors really like to put their characters through a lot before getting them to their happy place . I am so glad we got to see more of Lorcan and what happens to him as more of a character then the hero that comes blowing in at the end to help . I love this story and it is the fun read for the evening . So check it out for the Christmas .

WELCOME TO FRIDAY

Good morning my peeps , today I have the 11th book in the Haven Hollow series . MYSTIC VEIL  by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain

                              BOOK BLURB

When my son, Finn, freaks out after seeing a stranger peering in through his window, I have a feeling something wicked this way comes. Unfortunately, it’s not long before reports of the same peeping tom come pouring in from all around Haven Hollow, but no one knows who this guy is or what he wants.

And, when my good friend Henner reports a disturbance in his home, the Tayir Mansion, that culminates with the disappearance of his housekeeper and a room full of bloody handprints, I have a feeling things are about to take a downward spiral very quickly.

To make matters worse, my personal life seems to be equally out of control—there’s my ex-boyfriend, Roy, who keeps trying to salvage our relationship, and then there’s also my best friend, Marty, who’s giving me puppy dog eyes of his own.

As if peeping toms, missing housekeepers, amorous ex-boyfriends, and equally amorous best friends aren’t stressful enough, there’s also a void we discover in the laundry room of Henner’s house. And that void has recently been breached, which means either someone entered or someone escaped…

                      MY REVIEW

Poppy and the gang are back and funnier then ever.. After a potion goes awry and Astrid blows out the windows of Poppy's house things just get weird . Finn sees a peeping Tom in his bedroom window and then the other sighting . Poppy, Wanda and the guys are off to find the mysterious man and also to help Henner out . Things just spiral out of control from the moment they walk into the mansion . It doesn't help that Roy is trying to salvage his relationship with Poppy and Marty is having feeling for Poppy . What could go wrong well lets just say everything and naything can go wrong . Here is hoping that they can find their way out and save the day yet again and not end up dead in the process.

Poppy and the gang are back and man they are really put through it in this book . Poppy is having a day after a potion blows up . She is having a rough day and man she is really taking a beating this time . She comes in as a strong character and funnier then ever . She is trying to keep everyone on the same page when it comes to finding out what is going on . I love Poppy she is really a no nonsense woman who just wants to live with her son and her friends . Wanda well she is back and more pushier then ever . She seems to some time crumbles in time of crisis . She is a tough cookie with a sweet interior . Roy is back and broody as ever , he wants to fix things with Poppy but she just wants him as a friend . I mean she wants a sexy sasquatch as a friend ok maybe she doesn't have it all together like I thought . Marty is so sweet and kind and when he looks at Poppy all he sees is a sweet woman . Oh there is also Roscoe the evil that came through the veil and wreaking havoc all the place . He is just creepy in so many ways you really want him to die .

This is one of those books where you sit down and laugh your way all the way through the book. The authors really like to put the characters through it and in this book is no exception . I laughed my way through and then did a few omgs  as I read . There are moments when you think they might not actually make it through . There are so many twists and turns through out the book and that ending made me happy and really want to see what happens in the next book . So if you want a fun book check out this series .

WOW ITS 12 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS

Good morning peeps hope everyone is doing good and getting ready for Christmas . I can't believe there is only 12 days till the big day . Today I have a book for you that will give you all the feels . KEL'S BELLS  by V.J Lee.

                          BOOK BLURB

Kelsey (Kels) Armond hated everything about Christmas, and this one was going down in the history books as the worst ever. She was going to be the maid of honor in her best friend's Christmas wedding, which included her wearing a Mrs. Claus bridesmaids dress, right down to the furry boots—ugh. Throw in a couple of murders, a coma, add in her best friend’s hot brother (who she's always had a crush on) bringing home his equally hot girlfriend—who was also going to be in the wedding—and it was a recipe for disaster.

Maybe going to prison for murder wouldn't be so bad.

Dalton Green has compared every woman he's ever dated to the love of his life, Kelsey Armond. Even his hot California girlfriend couldn't compare to the voluptuous Kels. His Christmas wish was for her to see him, talk to him, anything other than scowl, and walk away from him, with her reluctance to express feelings of love—almost like she felt she was undeserving. It was his Christmas mission to show her how beautiful she sincerely was, and prove to her how deserving she truly was of being loved, and prove to her how magical Christmas could be—that is, if he didn't get arrested for murder first.

                      MY REVIEW
Kelsey Armond really hates all things Christmas but she will do anything for her best friend Lennox even wear a red Santa like dress for her wedding . When the man she has loved since she was a teenager walks in looking as good as ever . He is also her best friends brother . They should be together and Dalton realizes that and Kelsey is so unsure that she deserves his love because she isn't stick thin like the woman he came home with . Will the past haunt them, will they be able to fight for what they want . Will two murders and a coma of the only woman who loved Kelsey for who she is keep them apart . Or will love conquer all .
Ok I absolutely adore these characters , Kelsey and Dalton . They are such a I am not going to say a fun couple because there is so much angst that is happening between these two . Kelsey is well she is tough and lets people know what she is thinking . Will do anything for her best friend and her cousin. But there is a sadness in her that is all consuming . She is fighting for her life in everyway possible and some of it isn't good . She needs to feel loved and to love with all her heart . She is also a curvy girl who doesn't believe that she can be loved by the hot ,sexy man with the six pack . Dalton is well he is hot , and he just wants a woman who will love him for himself . He is the guy next door and Kel's best friends older brother . He is the one man that could make Kels realize that she is beautiful and deserves love but it will be a hard battle for both of them . There are moments when you feel the pain that rolls off Dalton and you just want to hug him and wrap a blanket around him . I think my most favourite character is grandma Ruby she is such a fun woman even though she spends most of her time in a coma you know there is more to grandma then you think. Lennox is back and as sweet as ever .
This is a story that is a Christmas story but so much more . This a story of redemption and love . The characters are so complex and so well written, you just want to make sure they are ok and wrap them up in a warm blanket . The author really takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride . I will admit to you that if you have a trigger be prepared . There is abuse scenes in this story that will have you crying .Don't worry things will work out or will they not going to tell you . You will have to get the book to find out .  This is a story of redemption and a second chance at love that will have you gushing and full of love . This a book to read on a cold winter evening with a good glass of wine a box of tissues and cozy blanket . So check it out and grab it for the reader in your life

WELCOME TO DECEMBER

Today I have a sweet fun novella for you and it is Christmas related . This was a part of an anthology but the author decided to bring it out for Christmas . So lets check out MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT  by Linda Thomas - Sundstrom

                            BOOK BLURB

So when Christmas rolls around, and lights appear where they shouldn’t, she’s all in, maybe, for the magic of a season that includes a gorgeous man who says he’s dragon, and a rocky path to the Land of Enchantment.

Jake Silver has bought a new house that seems to have come with persistent visitor named Ridley. But can he shake her off or keep her from a place that holds so many secrets, including some of his?

                       MY REVIEW
Ridley is back at her old home and it is Christmas time , all she wants to see is the lights from the valley one more time . Jake is there to make sure she doesn't get to the lights . There is more to Ridley then anyone knows and Jake is trying to figure it out and trying to keep her away from the lights . There is more to both of them and the lights that are calling them . Will he be able to keep her safe and will their secrets come to the for front .
Ridley and Jake have to be my favourite Christmas characters , Jake is well brooding and taking his job very seriously , that of keeping people away from the lights and protecting what is in the lights . Ridley is a sweet girl who just seems not to fit in anywhere . She is just wanting to see the lights one more time . Both of them are strong characters and are written with a complexity of a larger novel .
This is a sweet book that you can read in a hour or two and fall in love with the characters . The author has a very good way of writing that it doesn't matter how long the book is you are swept up and taken away . Her characters are always well crafted and complex. This is a sweet Christmas story that has dragons and dark and light fae , and what happens when you become part of that world . So if you want a sweet Christmas read with a dragon and fairies check out this novella .

HAPPY RELEASE DAY

Good morning my peeps today is release day for Robyn Peterman's newest book. ITS A MATTER OF MIDLIFE AND DEATH  the sixth book Good to the last death series a paranormal woman's fiction

                             BOOK BLURB

Midlife is madness—magical, messy and one freaking crisis after another.

With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had—midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation.

The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

What’s the saying? When in Crazytown, embrace the insanity or go insane. It’s time to lean into the madness. I’m putting down roots, pulling up my big-girl panties and getting down to business. With one month to succeed, it’s time to grow a bigger pair of lady-balls and play in the big league.

The rules are unclear. However, when it’s a matter of midlife and death, I’m making the rules. And I will win.
                   MY REVIEW
Daisy and the guys are back and funnier then ever. How the heck are they going to help the angels find their humanity and it is quite a task to teach them . Daisy and the gang have only a few days to do this or her baby will be born with no chance of surviving . Zadkiel is really playing with fire when he threatens Daisy and the baby . Gideon and the gang will do anything to keep baby girl safe . Even teach the angels how to be human. Will they get the hang of it before they kill each other or drive Daisy over the edge .
Daisy and the gang are back and more hilarious then ever .  Daisy is working hard to be the angel of Mercy and man does she have her hands full.  Between the angels and the poor ghosts that have showed up . Life just gets better and more chaotic for this family of well lets call them misfits . Gideon is a grim reaper but when it comes to getting ready for baby he really does become a first time dad basket case . Candy well she is still the f bomb dropping tooth pick chewing woman . They are such fun characters to read and laugh with
This is the sixth book in the series and I read it in an evening the author has a fun way of putting her characters into such interesting scenarios with hilarious out comes . The story is fun and easy to read . There are moments in the book that I felt kind of dragged and there were phrases that were over used . Over all I truly enjoyed the book and can't wait to read the next book . So if you want a fun book check out this series .

HAPPY RELEASE DAY FOR ROCK THE LINE

Good afternoon my peeps man have I got a book for you today . It is book two in the Gracefall: Vicious love series ,  ROCK THE LINE  by Victoria Zak.

                             BOOK BLURB

Bar owner and studio musician Jake Quin’s life changes when he gets a call from Gracefall asking him to be their next lead guitarist. Riding high on life, Jake takes the deal, but there’s a catch. He’ll be battling heavy metal shred Queen, Elliot Phoenix, for the job. Falling in love with the competition is a risky move, but he’s more than willing to rock the line.

After a hiatus from rock and roll, hired gun Elliot Phoenix is relaunching her career. Nothing, not even a sexy rocker, will stand in her way of becoming Gracefall’s new lead guitarist. What she didn’t see coming was her past catching up to her. With her son’s future on the line, falling for Jake is a dangerous move—one that might jeopardize her chances with Gracefall and her heart.

                       MY REVIEW
Welcome back on tour , Gracefall is looking for a replacement for their lead guitarist who passed away . It is down to two people Jake Quinn, a studio musician and part owner of a cop bar and Elliot Phoenix a hired gun who is relaunching her career . They are both excellent musicians and will out gun each other to get the gig . But what they didn't know is that when you aren't looking for it loves comes and hits you between the eyes . Will they be able to keep it professional or will their hearts get the better of them and will their pasts come back to haunt them before they even get started .
This is Elliot's and Jake's story , ok if you thought Melody and Joe were hot . Elliot and Jake will melt your kindle. Jake isn't your typical rock god , he is a good guy who is sweet and oh so sexy . He is confidant without being cocky and he wants everyone to have a good time .But like all heroes he does have some sadness that haunts him day to day . Elliot well she is a rock goddess who can out play most men. She is vivacious, loving but also a little guarded especially about her past . Together they rock in and out of the bedroom . They are so well written and you will love them .
This is the second book in the series and man I was blown away . I liked book one but book two kind a blew me away . The author has a way with her characters that make you fall in love with them and then want to slap them upside the head when they do something stupid . There are lots of ups and downs through out this book and you will ride the roller coaster through. I really like this series the author has put her own twist on the rock n roll genre. I read this book in an evening and kind of had a book hangover afterwards I really didn't want it to end . Now I can't wait for book three and where the author is going to go with them . So if you want a rocking good time check out this series . It would be a great read for your thanksgiving and Christmas reading .

Fifty-eight minutes into her first day on the job, 23-year-old Sheriff Piper Blackwell is faced with a grisly murder, the victim artfully posed amid decorations on his lawn. Drawing on former military training, Piper must prove herself worthy of the sheriff's badge, and that won't be easy.

DEAD OF NIGHT
As Sheriff Piper Blackwell rushes to a clandestine meeting with an aging, paranoid veteran who believes spies are trailing his every move, she is caught in a fierce thunderstorm. Pounding rain drums against the bluff, washing away the earth and revealing a grisly secret someone tried to bury a long time ago.
Putting a name to the skeleton on the bluff, and searching for the thief who robbed the old veteran of his life’s earnings, sends Piper delving into the sleepy towns that dot her rural county. Now she’s digging into pasts perhaps best left alone.
Accompanied by Chief Deputy Oren Rosenberg, Piper seeks to expose a truth someone wants to remain forever hidden. The investigation may have started with a thunderstorm, but Piper aims to finish it and find justice. Uncovering fragments of Spencer County’s history could prove more dangerous - and deadlier - than she ever expected.

EXCERPT
Oren twisted the key and turned on the heater. The other deputies drove either older Crown Vics or a relatively recent model of Taurus. Oren’s was a 2015, newest in the small fleet, and with comfortable leather seats. He’d claimed it a year ago come February when the county caucus appointed him sheriff to fill out Paul Blackwell’s term when Paul quit because of the cancer. Oren won the primary and figured he’d take the election in November. Out of respect, no one else in the department contested him for it.
He hadn’t counted on a challenge from Paul’s daughter, Piper, her coming home from Iraq, putting signs up everywhere, bright neon yellow and screaming red: Vote for Blackwell, Spencer County Sheriff.
And more than that, Oren certainly hadn’t counted on her winning.
It was a pity vote, he figured, pity for poor sick Paul Blackwell, the beloved sheriff who’d been with the department thirty years and had held four terms. Name recognition: Paul Blackwell…Piper Blackwell. P. Blackwell. Blackwell Blackwell Blackwell. Probably half the people who voted for her didn’t know they were electing a shikse…and one the same age as his granddaughter. Twenty-three. The pity vote and ignorance, likely coupled with a hint of anti-Semitism, wanting to elect a Protestant of some stripe.
Gornisht helfn,” he muttered.
“Hey…you zoning out on me, Oren? Earth to Oren. Come in, Oren. I said, what do you want to talk to me ‘bout? Nice car. What kind of mileage does this get?”
Oren smelled whiskey on Chris’s breath, and when the man belched there was a burst of something sharp, maybe spiced sausage. There was a strong trace of cigarette smoke imbedded in the parka; Chris probably had to do his smoking outside.
“You found Conrad,” Oren stated.
“Well, yeah. Was looking out the picture window, saw him in that damned sleigh.”
“What time did you see him?”
“Well…let me think. It was heading toward midnight. We were waiting for the ball to drop. Not yet midnight, maybe twenty to, a quarter to, around then, you know.”
“Go on…the Delaney place was dark—”
“Except for the spotlight. Yeah, well, I wouldn’t’ve noticed him but for that damned spotlight aimed at that damned sleigh. Actually, Joan saw him first, pointed him out to me, told me I should invite him over, that Conrad shouldn’t sit out there in the cold all by his lonesome.”
“So you walked over to invite him?”
“Well, I opened a window first and hollered. But then I realized he couldn’t hear me over the music. We’d cranked it pretty loud, you know, it being New Year’s Eve and a party and all. So yeah, I went over.”
“Right away when Joan saw him? Twenty to midnight?”
“Yeah, thereabouts. I wanted to make sure I could go over and back and not miss the ball dropping, time for a cigarette in there, too. So I threw on my coat and walked across the road, lit up on the end of his driveway, you know.”
A silence settled, the heater gently purring. Oren glanced out the windshield. Piper had put her camera away and was squatted next to the sleigh, looking at something underneath it. He hoped she had the presence not to pick up anything without properly bagging it.
Oren could have retired after the failed election. He had twenty years with the sheriff’s department and twenty before that with the Rockport police. There was a fine second pension ahead of him. But he had helped two of his kids with their money woes, and helped his granddaughter pay for college. Four years ago he and his wife moved into a new, but modest, beachfront house on Lake Noel in Santa Claus, bought a nice boat that he didn’t get out on often enough, and had a double-wide second garage built to store it in. He figured he needed the chief deputy salary and wouldn’t know what to do with all that retirement time on his hands.
Besides, Piper would have to attend—and pass—the Plainfield Sheriff’s Academy this April. If she failed, and he considered that a distinct possibility, Oren was certain the caucus would put him back in charge.

HAPPY THURSDAY ALL

Good afternoon my peeps , today I have a sweet book for all you small town romance lovers out there.

PROMISE KEPT  (Harland Creek series book one ) by Jodi Allen Brice

                         BOOK BLURB

Lying on her job application wasn’t the best way to kick off her fresh start in a small town, but Heather Smith is out of options. She desperately needs the job, or she will soon be without a place to live. Even so, Heather truly likes Elizabeth Harland, the old woman who hired her as her caregiver, and is eager to work hard and prove she’s right for the task.

Now, if she could just figure out why a local farmer keeps casting suspicious glares her way...

Sure, Grayson McCade has his hands full with his farm. That doesn’t change the fact that he considers the residents of Harland Creek family, and he takes time to look out for them all. The second he learns a newcomer has been hired to care for Elizabeth, he worries the kind-hearted old woman is being scammed.

Acting on what he believes to be the best of intentions, he sets out to uncover the truth about Heather’s past. Will the secrets revealed tarnish Heather’s new start before it even begins? Or will Grayson help make Harland Creek the home her heart longs for?

                      MY REVIEW
Welcome to Harland Creek, Heather has come to start a new job and a new life . She is going to take care of Elizabeth a sweet woman who also grows the best flowers on her farm . Grayson McCade is the farmer next door and the man who thinks the residents of the town as family . So when Heather comes to town he starts to think the worst and will do anything to find out her past but there is more and will he will be able to heal the hurt and make Harland Creek her home .
Oh these characters in this book are so sweet . I truly like Grayson and Heather . Heather has had such a hard life in the foster system so she is still a little naive and shy around people . But like all good heroines she is tougher then she seems and so wants to fit in somewhere . Elizabeth and Agnes these ladies are a hoot . They are old and wiley , they will tell you to your face what is going on and how it is going to happen. They are always getting into everyone's business and trying to fix everyone up . Then there is Grayson he is an all around good guy who wants to help everyone out . He is the guy everyone goes to for help . He is sweet but there is also a sadness to him which we do find endearing through out the book . There are moments you do want to slap him upside the head a few times because he is being block headed . They are such fun characters that you get to know and start to love .
This is one of those books that will put you in a good mood . It is about small town life and the love that can happen before you know it.  The author writes such a sweet romance with a hint of a mystery inside the story. This is the first book I have read by this author . I really love her style of writing and the fact that it is such a heart warming book . It shows that two people that have had very different pasts can come together and fall in love. So if you want a sweet series to read check out Harland Creek  and the woman that will steal your heart. A great read for the long winter nights

HAPPY RELEASE DAY

Good morning peeps its release day for Lynn Burke's new forbidden gay romance book. UNHOLY CRAVING is the first book in Sinful Natures series.

                          BOOK BLURB

As a newly appointed youth pastor, I blindly walk by faith, stumbling without the promised light down God’s chosen path.

Until a young man resurrects the sinful nature I’ve rejected in my strive for purity.
Isaac Van Dusen, my pastor’s son.
He’s troubled. Rebellious. Off limits to my lonely heart, yet gives me breath when I feel I’m drowning and in need of a savior.
Isaac’s hunger for sin rivals mine, the kind that consumes.
Burns like fire and brimstone.
I’m determined to stay in a constant state of prayer, begging for delivery from temptation—all while dreaming of being on my knees for entirely different reasons.
I want to submit to the unholy craving between us and worship the young man entrusted to my spiritual care.
But acting on the lusts of the flesh ensures our fall from grace, and I can’t allow him to be the second one to pay the price for my sins.
Even if it means living a lie for eternity.
                      MY  REVIEW
When Malachi Foley takes the job of youth pastor in a new church , he is in for an awakening of more then the souls in his youth group. A young man comes into his life that reignites his passion . Isaac , he is the one that brings Malachi back but he is the pastor's son and Malachi's boss . Will Malachi be able to resist temptation or will the young man wiggle his way into his heart or will they be ships that pass in the night.
OMG what can I say well first off these characters are so complex and honestly they both are broken into so many pieces . Malachi is trying to atone for something that happened in his past and he is working very hard at it . He is lost on so many levels and trying to find his way back . Isaac well this poor boy he is just living a life with over bearing father who is old school minister . He is just buying his time until he can get out from under the strict thumb of his father , You really feel for him and want to take him in and hug him . He is rebellious and he is hurting to be what he was meant to be . Both men are each others true halves and it is a rocky road to find themselves . I truly liked these characters and how they heal each other as they grow together.
This is one of those books where you sit down and start reading and boom you are done. This is a true love story between two broken people . The author takes us on a very emotional ride that has us on the edge of our seats through out . With each turn of the page the characters are growing and finding their way . There are moments you want to wrap them in a blanket and hug them telling them that everything will work out . The author also has some trigger points in the book and when you read the story it will break your heart about not accepting the one you love as the way he is. The story is captivating and will keep you reading all night long . I truly love these characters and the story is thought provoking and true to life . So if you want a love story check it out .  You will not be disappointed

WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND

Good morning my peeps well it is now winter here on the prairies. Woke up to snow and blowing winds a great day to snuggle down with a good book and some hot chocolate . Today I have a book from a new author to me  LIGHT AMONG THE SHADOWS by Jennifer Leigh Pezzano.

                           BOOK BLURB

“What I had done was extreme, but like a wild animal stuck in a trap, I knew the only way to survive was to relinquish my own limb. It was the last frantic vestige of my attempt to keep on living, despite there being nothing left to live for. I was hollowed out. Only tender bruised bone remained as I followed the endless white line of the highway.”

Lara is running from a fractured marriage, and an unfathomable loss that consumes her.
Drawn to the beautiful, open expanse of sky and the possibility of a new life, Lara finds herself working on a secluded property in Montana caring for horses. There she meets Peter, a man trapped in the darkness of his disability and closed off from the world around him.
Together, they forge a connection that is tender and fervent as the walls they have built around themselves begin to crack. But can two broken people truly find healing in each other? Or will the wounds they carry be too deep to repair?
Light Among the Shadows is a journey of love and redemption, of choices that define us, and the delicate dance between the past that holds us back and the future that beckons us forward.

                    MY REVIEW
Laura is running away from a marriage that has suffered the biggest tragedy that a family could have . Her husband is cold and abusive and she just can't take it anymore . So she runs and runs to Montana . Where she starts working on a horse ranch for Peter who has lost his sight and has closed himself off to the world around him.  While working together they find a connection to each other that is sweet and tender but will their pasts keep them from finding out what can truly be the best thing that they both want and need .
This is such a good book the characters are so complex . We meet them both at the lowest points of their lives . Laura is running from herself basically . She has been through so much trauma but she is stronger then she even knows . There are moments through out the book you just want to wrap her up in a blanket and hug her and tell her everything will be ok . We do see her come out of her past and wow when she does she really blossoms and grows . Peter well he has been through his own type of hell and he seems to be so closed off .Under all the sadness Peter is one sexy cowboy , who really helps bring Laura out of her shell and treats her like a lady even when they butt heads . Teaching her how to two step and helping her cook . They really grow to love and appreciate each other . There is another character or should I say characters , the horses and they are some beautiful animals that really do help to heal both Peter and Laura .
This is one of those books that will have you up all night reading . The characters are great and the story is one of redemption and a second chance at love . The author takes us on a ride of emotions through out the book . The story is almost like a Hallmark movie, I said almost there are some sizzling sex scenes and the f bomb is dropped a time or two. This is one of those books that you will get into and get lost in the pages and love each character .There were a couple of spots I will say did lag a bit but over all this book is a sweet read that will heal your heart and make your day . So check it out you will not be disappointed .
