WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY

Good morning all we made it to Friday with no bumps or bruises . Today I have a psychological thriller for you , this is a first time author for me . So let me introduce you to Helga Zeiner and her book MINE FOREVER (A Survivor psychological thriller)

                            BOOK BLURB

"You're mine," he said, "forever"—and a chill ran through her.

It’s 1978 and Johanna loves her adventurous new husband, Kurt, with all of her young, naive heart. She'll follow him anywhere—even far from their home in Germany to a small mining town deep in the Australian bush. Traveling across rocky seas, Kurt begins to unravel, revealing his true, disturbing personality.

Alone and isolated from friends and family, Johanna struggles to navigate her husband's increasingly violent temper and manipulative behavior. Exploited to help him dig in the mines for the legendary black opal, Johanna faces a miserable life, filled with fear and abuse. Her fate seems sealed—unless she kills him first.

                           MY REVIEW
When Johanna and her new husband are heading out on an adventure to Australia with her friends and their boyfriends . As they work in Australia Kurt starts to unravel and the abuse starts to get worse . Alone and scared Johanna struggles with the fact that Kurt is getting worse . Will she be able to survive or will she end up dead .
The characters in this book are complex and well written .  Johanna is a strong but also very naïve . She was a happy go lucky woman that was heading on the biggest adventure of her life . She is systematically being torn down and abused , you feel like you want to save her . She comes out the other side so strong and she is one tough woman . Her friends Eva and Isabella are hiding their own abuses and scars . They have all gone their own ways but they are all hiding a secret . You really just want to hug these women and tell them everything will be ok. Now lets talk Kurt and Uewe and Dieter . I honestly tried to like these men but oh it was hard . Kurt was unhinged and thought the world owed him . He was suave at the beginning but as the story went on he was evil . He was cruel and abusive and it just kept getting worse as the story went on . The other guys were to me followers . They were just as bad in their own ways . Dieter was just about as bad as Kurt in his own way .  You will love and hate each character at some point in the book .
I sat down to read this book , thinking about how I love thrillers .  This book is long and the author takes us on such an emotional ride . The characters are well written and the story is one that could happen in today's society . It does go on all the time . I yelled at my kindle a few times . I ugly cried all the way through this book . I just wanted to hug Johanna and the girls and tell them everything will be ok .  The ending will have you cheering . So if you want a good book that will keep you reading all night this is the book for you . Just be prepared to have tears rolling down your eyes . If you have any triggers over rape and abuse this might not be the book for you.  Just check it out for yourself .

WOOHOO WELCOME TO THURSDAY

Woohoo welcome to Thursday or like I love to call it Friday Eve. Today I have another new author for you all to read . Merethe  Walther and her book  MERCURY IN RETROGRADE .

                           BOOK BLURB

Aralyn Solari spent the last three years of her life in the galaxy's worst prison after a compromised run ruined her flawless smuggling record five years prior. Now that she's free and has the promise of an easy job with a ridiculously large pay off, her last gig should be a cinch. As long as she follows the runner's standard, anyway: get in, get out, get paid. Then, she can spend the rest of her years retired on Earth, hidden away with some well-deserved credits.

All of that changes, however, when she runs into her ex-boyfriend Caden Madigan: the man she suspects of setting her up all those years ago. Now, he's wearing a UDA badge and uniform, and says that she's in danger and being set up again. To Aralyn, the benefit of a huge payday outweighs the risks--or so she thinks until her "easy" job turns sour and she ends up wanted for a crime she didn't commit, her smuggled goods get stolen, and her ship--down to the toilet paper--gets trashed.

Now, Aralyn's got no choice but to try a last-ditch effort to get her payload back, get her money, and maybe even some closure... which proves difficult when she finds herself caught in a conspiracy that threatens everything and everyone around her. With government agencies and stone-cold killers on her trail, Aralyn's life has literally become a ticking time bomb. Caught up in lies, revenge, and a harrowing game of blackmail, one misstep could end with her captured, enslaved, or perhaps even worse: thrown back inside the galaxy's worst prison for the rest of her life, waiting to die.

                        MY REVIEW
Aralyn has been living the last three years in the worst prison in the galaxy . After she was compromised on a smuggling run After she is freed she is promised a big payday for a run that she can retire on .  Well after she runs into her ex boyfriend things change and not for the better . Deep down she thinks that he set her up the first time and she doesn't trust him very much . Will she take his advice or will the thought of all that money make her do something stupid .
There are a lot of characters in this story and they are well written some are stronger then others . Aralyn is such a strong character, she takes no gruff from any one . She really doesn't trust easily and will do what it takes to get things done. Aralyn can show that you can kick butt but also show emotion and cry.  Kita i think has to be my favourite character . She has been through so much in her past but she still is bubbly, sassy and loyal till the end.  The men in this book are strong too but the woman kind of put them in the back seat . I think that Riordan is a pretty cool guy , he has unbelievable hacking skills that keep him busy . Over all the characters are really complex and diverse.
Ok i am going to admit this when I sat down to read this book I honestly didn't know what i was getting myself into .   I really like sci fi but wasn't sure how I would like this book . Well lets say i got sucked in and couldn't put it down . The characters are great and I love that there is a kick butt heroine who can still be vulnerable and cry . The author takes us on a roller coaster ride full of twists and turns . You really can't trust anyone and you will be screaming at your kindle a few times . You will also want to slap a couple of male characters upside the head a few times .  The story moves a long a nice pace and the characters don't stay too long in one place so the story doesn't get boring . I truly enjoyed this book and going to look into book two . So if you like sci fi with strong characters this will be a good book for you .

ITS WEDNESDAY

Good Wednesday morning all , today we have a prequel to review . FINDING THEIR RHYTHM  the prequel to Back on Track series by J.C layne

                            BOOK BLURB

Two young boys. A friendship that lasts a lifetime. A dream that they refuse to give up on.

Who would’ve thought that matching band t-shirts would be the beginning of a multi-decade friendship? That’s exactly what happened with Brett Winters and Mitch Lansing. From the time they met in middle school, the two were inseparable, quickly becoming more like brothers.

Fast forward a few years and no one gets them in their haughty Atlanta high school, so they spend their time with a few carefully chosen friends, bonding over stolen beer and their love of music. The boys dream of a life in rock n’ roll and their band, Peanuts Envy, is going to be their ticket to the big time.

Finally in college, the bond gets tested, girls get in the way, and they find themselves on different paths. What began as a childhood dream in a greasy car garage could end up being the very thing that will force them to part.

                            MY REVIEW
What do you do when you see the same guy wearing the same band t shirt as you , you strike up friendship that would last for years .  Brett and Mitch met in middle school and forged a friendship that would take them all the way through high school and beyond . When things get tough and their high school they keep company with a small group of friends and start a band. Dreaming of a rock and roll life they start Peanuts Envy. But like all good things there is always some conflict . When they hit college , bonds get stretched and girls get in the way and each are sent on different paths in life . Will they be able to keep the band together or will what they started long ago be the thing that splits them apart.
I truly liked the characters in this story , they are complex and likable . Brett and Mitch are your typical teenagers . I feel that Brett is the more emotional lovable one  and Mitch is the one that wants it all , he wants fame and fortune and just get out of the home town. There are girls that come and go and so called friends that come and go from their lives . Noone can tear them apart . You will really like these guys and think back to what your high school was like .
This is a book that you can read and it takes you back to your high school years . The friendships and hardships that you have lived through is in this book . The characters are really well written and you can really relate to them . I laughed  and man i ugly cried through parts of the book . There were a few scenes where i laughed so hard thought my poor husband was shaking his head at me. Even though i loved this book i felt that there were some areas just kind of dragged out a little bit . That didn't stop me from liking the characters and the story line . So if you want to meet the guys when they were young check out this story ,

WELCOME TO TUESDAY

Welcome to Tuesday all , today  I am going to review the 7th book in the Magic and Mayhem series . SWITCHING WITCHES by Robyn Peterman

                           BOOK BLURB

Forecast for today? Partly good witch, with a thirty-two percent chance of broom rage.

How in the Goddess’s name did I get stuck at the Witchypoo Convention at Rump Arena in Hexington, Kentucky? Whoops… my bad. Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. Whatever. It’s like one cavernous indoor garage sale of “magic” crap. It’s nothing more than a convention of human wanna-be witches in pointy ankle boots and half-price black hats.

And where in the Goddess’s gauchos did these humans get their info on witch-wear? Real witches wear Prada… and Stella McCartney and Alice and Olivia and … well, you get my point.

Baba Yopaininmybutt sent me to root out the very evil shenanigans going down in the sea of faux witches, mummies and vamps. On the plus side, I’m looking forward to hotel sex with my hotter that heck werewolf mate. However, nookie time is nada. Believe it or not, a gay fainting goat shifter, a magical mystery woman and a dude who looks alarmingly like me have shown up to complicate matters.

A mystery witch is dealing in blood. I might have a twin. Where do gay fainting goat shifters come from anyway? And I will be seriously put out if I can’t have hotel sex.

But I’m motivated … by multiple big O’s.
Let the motherhumpin’ witch-hunt begin.

                      MY REVIEW
What would you do if you were basically ordered to check out the Witch convention where there are shenanigans going on . I mean who wants to be in an arena full of want to be witches . Especially ones in really pointy shoes and no fashion sense . That's what Zelda and Sassy are up to, they are trying to find out where the magic is coming from .  When she finds out a whole lot more is going on and that Zelda might have a twin . What happens next is a lot of magic flying around and a fainting goat shifter who steals everyone's heart .
They are back Zelda and the gang and they are zanier then ever . Zelda is still kicking butt and looking good . She has taken to motherhood like a duck to water and is still healing the shifters . She is also really growing up and becoming the head witch that everyone wants . Sassy is well she is just a bubble headed as always but you got to love her . Mac, Jeeves and the guardian cats are back and hilarious as ever. We meet some new characters in this book .Zack who is the splitting image of Zelda and is under a bad curse . He is hurting so much and you will love him. You will really want to wrap him up in a blanket and hug him . Then we have Zorro , oh my goodness I love him . He is a hoot and you will laugh whenever he is in a scene . He is the first fainting goat shifter I have ever read and he is so funny . Willow is so sweet and kind and such a bubbly personality and when you find out what she is you will love her more .
I sat down and read this book in an evening . I have never laughed so hard these are such fun feel good reads . The characters are amazing and complex . The story lines are great and you will fall in love with each and ever one . There is action and adventure and some romance in this book . You will not be able to put it down . Just remember that when you read this book don't drink anything you might laugh so hard you will snort liquid cause you are laughing so hard . The most important thing that you will take away from this book is that family is everything . Not just the family you are born into but the family you make along the way and the people in your heart are is what matters the most .

ITS MONDAY

Good morning all , hope everyone survived the weekend . Today we are going to review THE BOY IN THE WINDOW by Ditter Kellen . She is becoming one of my new favourite authors .

                           BOOK BLURB

Jessica and Owen Nobles are heartbroken over the loss of their son, Jacob. Jessica has taken his death especially hard, spending the past three years sedated and under the care of a psychiatrist. Desperate to save his wife, Owen moves the couple to Florida, hoping a change in scenery will remind her how to live again.

When Jessica begins to see a small boy in the upstairs window of the abandoned home next door, she goes to investigate, only to find the house empty. Afraid that she may be seeing things, Jess does an internet search on the home’s address. What she finds is an image of the boy from the window—a boy that’s been missing more than thirteen years.

Reluctant to tell her husband, Jessica sets out to find what information she can on the child’s disappearance. Yet, someone is going to great lengths to stop her.
To make matters worse, bodies begin dropping around her like flies. And she's the prime suspect in the killings. If Jessica doesn’t back off now, she risks losing more than just her mind…she could very well lose her life.

                         MY REVIEW
After Jessica and Owen Nobles loose their son they are so heartbroken Jessica has taken the loss so hard that she was sedated and under a psychiatrist for over three years . They have lost each other . When Owen decides to move them to Florida hoping Jessica will come to terms with the death and start to learn to live again. But once in Florida Jessica sees an young boy in the window of the empty house next store which sends her on a mission to find out who the boy is . What lengths will she go to to solve the mystery . What is she willing to give up .
The characters what can i say about them they are well written and complex . Jessica well she is a mess , she is blaming herself for her son's death and it is taking a toll on her. When we first meet her  She is hurting and you really just want to wrap her up and hug her and tell her everything will be ok . After she moves to Florida you actually see her start to change and become a very strong character . She finally has a mission that will keep her going and maybe actually grow up and out of the depresssion she is in. With Owen we see a man just trying to hold it together for both he and his wife. He is strong but also so flawed , he doesn't trust his wife and he needs a good shake to wake him up . They are such a damaged couple but they grow and they will grow on you . There are so many other characters in the book that you will love to hate . You just don't know who you can trust and who is the evil ones .
I sat down and started reading wondering how the author was going to  attack the thriller genre. I must say that when i started reading I was like ok this is good but as soon as i said ok i am liking this book . Boom the author does a twist that has me on the edge of my seat going holy what the heck was that . Trust me the author threw a bunch of twists and turns that will keep you reading .  The story is actually plausible and it could happen in real life , I mean missing children, murder and the aftermath of the loss of a child . The characters are believable and you will love them or hate them you will make you mind up as you read . So if you want a really good thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat all the way through. This is the book for you . You will be sucked in and taken on the ride of your life . Check it out .

GOOD SUNDAY ALL

Good Sunday all, today we have an author I have grown fond of from his fantasy books . Today he has gone to the fairies with his new book GRIM UNDERTAKINGS  book one of the Grim Faerie series by Whit McClendon.

                           BOOK BLURB

Not all of the Faerie are sweet little Pixies. There are a few who do the dirty work on the side of the Light. Unknown protectors walk among us, gleefully using fang and claw and magick, leaving a bloody trail of vanquished evildoers in their wake. They are the GrimFaeries. If you are evil enough to try to tip the balance towards the Dark side, you might just get a visit from one. And they won't be leaving a coin under your pillow.
When Kane the Grim is tasked with finding a serial murderer in Houston, he discovers that there is much more at stake. Magick is afoot, and an evil sorcerer is behind the killings. When he rescues a witch from certain death, his new mission becomes clear: stop the bad guy before it’s too late. Teaming up with a witch who's as good with a gun as with her spells, they'll face monsters, magick, and M-16's, as they risk everything to stop the evil in its tracks before all is lost.
If you're a fan of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, you'll love the first tale of the GrimFaerie Chronicles, an exciting new urban fantasy from Whit McClendon, the author of the Fire of the Jidaan Trilogy!

                           MY REVIEW
Not all fairies are sweet and innocent little creatures, some of them have to do the dirty work and tak care of the baddies in the world . That is what Kane is doing , he is on the hunt for a serial killer in Houston . When he finds the killers next victim he is astonished at whan she can do to save herself. When he finds out there is more going on then he expected he decides to team up with Ariana and find out where the black magic is coming from . Will they survive the magic, mayham and the m - 16s that are attracting the evil .

I must admit I really got sucked into theses characters . Kane well he is strong and deadly . He is like a grim reaper for the evil. He can also kick butt and take names . Yet there is a side to him that is kind of sensitive and really wants to do the best for people .  Ariana well I love her , she is strong and sassy also she is a witch with some strong powers . They are so good each on their own but when combine their strenghts they are non stoppable . Elias Bress well man you guys are going to hate him . He is evil oh so evil . You really just want to slap him uside the head a few times through out the book .. There are so many characters in this book to count , we have pixies , trolls gargoyles and so many more .

I sat down to start this book and was wondering how the author was going to write in the fairy genres . What i didn't realize is how much i would get sucked into the story . I was sucked in from the very first chapter . I really wanted to get to know these characters and honestly their back stories . The author writes and interesting story with lots of twists and turns that will have you flipping pages all night long . There were a couple of places at the begining that were kind of a bit choppy but I truly loved this story and the characters . Now I have to wait for book two cause he does leave us with a cliff hanger .If you want an interesting take on all things fairies check out this book you will not be disappointed .

Good Saturday morning all , today I have a really good book for you to read if you love ghost stories . THE SPIRITS OF SIX MINSTREL RUN  by Matthew Cox

                           BOOK BLURB

A move to the small town of Spring Falls, New York is the perfect cure for Mia Gartner’s horrid commute. However, her new home isn’t quite empty.

She adored working in fine art restoration, but a two-hour ride each way got old fast. When her husband found a house for sale at a suspiciously low price, they jumped at it. Mia expected chemical contamination, a fixer-upper, or termites, so when the problem turned out to be persistent rumors of haunting, she set aside her worries. Adam hoped the place would propel his parapsychology hobby into a career.

Upon first sight, the innocuous suburban house filled Mia with dread. Adam had long maintained she had a psychic gift, but if she believed him, that would mean something terrible and dark once happened there.

Soon after their arrival, unexplained events prove the rumors are more than wild stories. A childlike spirit attaches itself to Mia, seeming harmless and so very lonely.

Alas, she fears the ghost may not be as innocent as it seems.

                             MY REVIEW
Moving to a small town sounded like a great plan to Mia and Adam . It would elimnate the horrible commute that Mia drives everyday . When Adam found a great house for a low price they do what any couple would do and put an offer in and got it . This is house is more then it  seems though, once Mia sees the house she is filled with an uneasy feeling and can't shake it .  After a visit from pastor Weston things start to go weird . Mia and the ghost have become attached and all isn't what it seems .  Mia is fearing the worst that the ghost child is isn't what she seems to be and something more sinister is at play here .
The characters are so very well written and complex . Mia and Adam are a young couple who want the american dream of owning their own home . Mia is a strong woman who will do whatever it takes to keep her and her husband safe . She does get to freak out a few times but over all she is strong and determined even though she has had a horrible past .  Adam is well he is kind of a dweeb every now and then sometimes he comes off as inconsiderate of what Mia is going through. Then there are times where he is the hero and saves Mia . Robin well she is the little girl that is haunting the house you don't knwo which way she will go . She can be a sweet girl and then there is the evil side of her that comes out . Oh the character i love is Wilehmenia she is such a cool character . She helps out the couple with wiccan help . She is strong and headstrong and you will love her .  You will love these characters or hate them if you are inclined .
I sat down to start reading this book looking forward to see how the author handles a ghost story . What I wasn't expecting is to be sucked into a story that at times had the hairs on my arms standing up and chills running up my spine . The book started off as a good ghost story , the characters are amazing but as you read the book it got creepier and creepier .  The author has so much going on from ghosts . to human behaviour and a religious zealo running awry . It blends into a book that you can't put down and has you on the edge of your seat through out the whole story  This is a story for those of us like me who love a great ghost story that isn't full of guts and gore . This story makes you think about how you would handle things .  So I will say this read this book, you will not be disappointed and you will get a great ghost story .

Embarking on a mission to destroy the demon, Sophie and Ethan find themselves in a life-or-death struggle. Will either of them make it out alive?

                     MY REVIEW
What do you do when your world has been turned upside down . that is what Sophie is trying to figure out , the love she thought she had with Drake is thrown to the wayside as he is running around with a rogue demon trying to take over. Then there is Ethan who wants Sophie all to himself . Between the two of them they have Sophie trying to make the right decision as they head out to try and kill the demon . Will they make it out alive .
I absolutely adore the characters in the series . Sophie well she is just one kick butt take charge kind of woman, who is also sweet and vulnerable when it comes to the men in her life . She is trying so hard to be the headmistress of the witches but its hard to come to terms with. She is tough as nails also . i really love her and her sass . Ethan well he is still as sexy as sin and in love with Sophie . There is more to him then meets the eyes . He is a really good guy and would do anything for Sophie .  In this book Drake is well he isn't himself , I really wanted to hit him up side the head a few times in this book . He is evil and i mean evil you just don't want to trust him . These characters keep getting better and more complex. You will love them .
I sat down and started reading this installment and was instantly sucked in . I couldn't put the book down . The characters are well written and complex . The story is evolving and you will love what happens . There is so much that goes on in the book from Sophie getting a dragon to some very big news that you will have to read about . Not going to spoil it for you .There is mystery intrigue and oh so much smexiness going on . Trust me this book will keep you on the edge of your seat and fanning yourself at the same time . I suggest that you read the other books before diving into this one so you will know what is going on . Check out the series and you will not be disappointed

MADE IT TO THURSDAY

Good Thursday everyone . or as we like to say Friday Eve . Ok how many of you like Rocker love stories . well if you are one I have a new author and new book for you . J.C Layne and her book  FACE IN THE CROWD

                           BOOK BLURB

Jace DeLand is just tired. Tired of the groupies, the groping, the propositions. Tired of everything. Jace is the rhythm guitarist for Soul Harbor, a band who has been on a successful 20-year run and shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the success, something is missing. All of his other bandmates have gotten married and settled down, and he is tired of waiting patiently for his turn. He wants that kind of love, that someone special to spend his life with. But he’s almost given up hope.

Then, one night while on stage, he sees her. Her face in the sea of people grabs his attention and doesn’t let go. When she agrees to meet him backstage, his hopes are high, but it seems his reputation precedes him. Yes, he’s a rock star, but he’s over all of the bullshit that comes with it, he just has to figure out how to convince her of that.

Laney Mason is perfect for him in every way, exactly what he’s been missing in his life. But can it really work between them? Whatever it takes, Jace won’t give up on his shot at love.

                      MY REVIEW
What do you do when you are the rhythm guitarist of a successful band and the only single guy left in the band . That is what Jace DeLand is going through , he is tired of the one night stands and the groupies trying to grope him all the time . Until the night he sees her in the crowd the one woman that could be the one . Laney Mason is the one who Jace thinks could be the one that he has been waiting for . Will they find their ever after
I must say the characters are cool characters and are written well . Jace is kind of brooding at the beginning of the story . He is just tired of the life of a rock star . He is sometimes kind of annoying with his melt downs and crying . Over all he is an enjoyable character and you do want to get to know him better . Laney well sometimes she is great and sometimes she comes off just a little naïve . I give her credit though she is sassy and does keep Jace on his toes .  Piper is my favourite character , she is Jace's sister and the no nonsense one , she keeps Jace on the even keel . She is funny and the sensible one sometimes . Over all the characters are a fun read .
I sat down and read this book in an evening and started reading it is a fast read so I had it done in a couple of hours . The author takes us on a rock and roll adventure . The characters are cool but sometimes they come off just a little bit childish and you just want to wrap them up and hug them telling them everything will be ok . There are also a couple of time the story seems to drag just a little . Over all I truly enjoyed the book and the characters . If you like rock star books and want a good read for an evening check out FACE IN THE CROWD .  You will have a fun time reading .

Woohoo its hump day and the first day of spring for those who are wanting this winter to be finally over . Today I have a new author and her new book that releases today . Kimberly Forrest and her paranormal book TEA WITH MONSTERS (Misfits and Rogues book one )

                            BOOK BLURB

Greenlawn Hall is hiding something… But will uncovering the story of a lifetime cost this journalist her life?

Journalist Ashley Ryan has reached celebrity status with her hit television show Tea with Monsters, and while she’s proud of her accomplishments, she’s craving a new challenge. A chance encounter with a woman that bears a striking resemblance to a movie star the world believes dead piques her curiosity and reinvigorates her drive. The hunt for the perfect story… This was why she became a journalist. Following the woman home, however, may prove the biggest mistake of her life.
Greenlawn Hall is steeped in mystery, protected by a guardian sworn to keep the estate safe from outsiders. A Lazar Panther has managed to contain the secrets of the supernaturals living within these walls for over two hundred years and Adrian Lazar will be damned if they’re exposed on his watch. It doesn’t matter that Ashley Ryan calls to his panther with her quick wit and determination, there is too much at stake for him to be distracted by this unfortunate attraction. After all, the monsters inside Greenlawn aren’t the only creatures watching…

                      MY REVIEW
When journalist Ashley Ryan has a chance run in with a woman who looks like a dead movie star. Ashley has a hit tv show but wants a new challenge . So the day she follows the woman home sends her right into the panthers den literally . Greenlawn manor is a special place where supernatural beings can stay and not be found out. With A Lazer the guardian and panther in charge Ashley has met her match and her mate . Will she come to the realization before it is too late or will she accidently expose everyone to the world .
Ashley is one of those characters that one moment you are cheering her on and in the next moment you are wanting to slap her upside the head because she is about to do something stupid .  She is feisty and sassy, but you know there seems to be something missing in her life, and you really want her to find that missing piece . She is also driven and will do anything to get a story . You see a change in her as the story goes on and she becomes a better person with Adrian by her side.. Adrian Lazer well he is a sexy, broody panther shifter who is also the guardian of Greenlawn .  He takes his job seriously man does he take his job seriously. You meet a very gruff and overbearing man, he is always at odds with Vivian and some of those arguments are so fun to read. We see a change in him as he and Ashley become more and more entwined . He seems to come alive when he and Ashley are together . I loved them as a couple they are a fun read
I read this book in an evening and at first it took a little while to get into the book . Once I got into the book it went fast . The author takes us on a journey that is fun to read and you will like the characters they are well written there are vampires and shifters and witches all in one book . They are like a big family and really are a fun read . Over all I enjoyed reading and will definitely look for more books by this author . So check it out you will not be disappointed

WELL MADE IT TO TUESDAY

Good Tuesday morning all , the sun is shining and the snow is melting can't help but be in a really good mood . Today I am going to review another new author to me Dariel Raye and Muffy Wilson and their novella DEATH'S SHADOW .

                           BOOK BLURB

How far would you go to bring your twin’s killer to justice?

No one notices when Brianna Denton goes missing every weekend. With no immediate family or close friends left, being alone is something with which she has become well-acquainted, but when her sister is murdered, she finds herself on a lone mission to identify the killer.

According to the authorities, ‘no body, no case.’

Brianna’s quest to find her sister’s murderer despite the police department’s refusal to help, draws her into a life of drugs, alcohol, and prostitution—the very elements that led her twin to the shadows and rat holes of the underbelly of North Beach.

Drawn into the dark underground society to face Tatianna’s killer, Brianna is about to come face-to-face with her own shocking destiny. As she unearths long-buried secrets, the tight edge of reality comes to light, challenging her tenuous grip on life as she knows it. Finding the answers she seeks could lead her to an even darker place.

                         MY REVIEW
When Brianna Denton's sister is missing and the case has gon cold . She takes it upon herself to find out who murdered her .The police have stopped looking there is no body, so Brianna goes undercover to the streets and enters the life of drugs , alcohol and prostitution but there is more to the story and when she meets Dr. Ben James she starts to remember the past and what truly happens to her is unbelievable.
I was actually blown away by these characters , they are so well crafted and complex . Brianna well she is tough as nails when you first meet her but as you see her you just want to wrap her up and hug her . She is hurting so much and she just needs to be loved and to give love . She has such a vulnerability that will touch your heart . Dr Ben is well he is a protector and a great guy with a hidden past . You will either like him or hate him . Sometimes you just don't get the read on him and when you finally figure him out you will love him .
I settled down and read this book in an evening  and once i started reading i couldn't put it down. I wanted to find out if she found her sister and what happened . The author takes us on a journey full of twists and turns that will have you going what the heck through out the book .  There is only one issue i have with the book and i wish it was longer and we got to dive into the two main characters a little bit more . I feel like its just the tip of the ice berg and i wanted more . I truly enjoyed this book and wow the twist at the end had me reading over it twice cause i wasn't sure the twist was real or not . So if you have an evening to dive into a good book check it out . You will love it .

                         MY REVIEW
This is a collection of seven short stories of Angels and the ladies that have their hearts . The stories are sweet and short. Each Angel has been assigned the one person that could be the love of their lives and they find each other and yes they all have their happily ever after .
Each story has a set of good characters . The female character is a curvy girl who is very insecure of herself and each angel is oh so sexy and super sweet . They want their mate and will help them along to find their heart . You will like these couples a lot
When I sat down to read this book I didn't know what I was diving into . When I found out it was seven stories I was like oh cool . Each story is different and a fun read , between puppy love to Make a wish each and every story has a good premise to it . There is just one little thing that would make this book even better is if the stories were a little longer and a little more in depth . You feel like you are sometimes reading a chapter of a book .  Over all I liked the book and loved the characters . So if you want a quick book to read in an afternoon and get a feel for the authors writing style this is the book for you .

WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND

Woohoo it is Saturday and the sun is shining and the snow is starting to melt . Today I am going to review another new author to me E.L Reedy and A.M Wade.  DARK SOUL CHOSEN  (Soul Dark #1)

                            BOOK BLURB

War is coming between Lukas’ Goddess and an ancient Demon Lord. But the death of his parents shakes his faith, and with the loss of his remaining family it is shattered. Blinded by rage, Lukas turns away from his friends and trains under a deceptive, yet formidable master to hone his magic and prevent the demon’s final objective--obliteration of all life on earth.
War begins! A forged weapon, Lukas rejoins his friends and sets after the Demon King. From a hidden crypt, where evil lies waiting, to the Iowa countryside, they battle to prevent the end of all they know. Lukas must overcome his doubts and allow the Light to work through him--to defeat both the foe of his Goddess and a new more familiar one.
Soul Dark: Chosen is a coming of age tale in the modern-day world when a war between ancient deities and demons culminates in a winner-takes-all battle that could determine the fate of all mankind.

                       MY REVIEW
Lukas is having a crisis of father after his parents die and his brother is killed . His faith is shaken to its core. But there is war coming between Lukas's Goddess and a very ancient Demon lord . Lukas must learn to weild his power to help save his friends and the earth . He must over come his doubts and fears and let the power of the Goddess of light work through him to save the world .
This is a book you want to invest some time and settle down and read . The characters are well written and complex . Lukas is the main character and he is well he is such a conflicted young man . He has been through so much in his young life from his parents death and his grandmother trying to teach him the ways of the Goddess . He just kind of shuts down and broods . You really want to slap him a few times at the beginning . He grows up as you read into the book he really evolves and becomes the hero that is needed . Sabine is his best friend and she is his love interest but he doesn't see it most of the time . She is kind of kick butt and takes no guff from no one . They go up against a truly evil character the Demon King that is truly evil . I actually liked the way this he is written .
This is a book where you can sit down and start reading and know its a fantasy book but set in today's time . The author takes us on a very emotional rollercoaster ride which takes us on a journey of self forgiveness and doing the right thing  even save the world . I will say though it does take a little bit to get into the book but once you are in you can't stop reading . I really liked the way the author mixed the real world with the fantasy world of Druids and demons . I truly enjoyed reading this book and going to look for other books by the authors . So if you want a good fantasy book check it out.

A heartfelt story of hope, forgiveness, and a love that won’t be denied.

"A beautiful and captivating love story!" New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Mills.

                     MY REVIEW
Niki is trying to make her grandmother's diner better again but things seem so bleak for her . She suffers from a bad heart and is destined to be alone . Until the day that Exodus Brooks happened to walk into her life and catch her when she went tumbling down the stairs  Maybe they are what they have been looking for in each other but like all good stories their is more and there is a demon that might just rip them apart .  Will they survive and forgive and love each other .
These characters got me right away . Exodus is an fallen angel and oh so sexy. But there is more to him , he is also a really great guy that could charm the pants right off of you .  He is also really just wanting to go home When you see him with Niki wow the sparks fly . Even though they both try and deny it . I loved him he wasn't your typical brooding male . He was fun and a good guy . Niki well when you first meet her she is shy and a little naive .  You really just want to wrap her up in bubble wrap and keep her safe . As you read though you realize that she is a really strong character with more moxy then most people .  I truly liked these two , and the sweet way that they are together . They seem to have a pure kind of love . Now with every hero and heroine there is a evil character  and man she is evil . She will do anything to get Exodus back and drag him to hell with her .
This story is so romantic and sweet, the characters are so well written you will fall in love with them. This is a nice twist on the whole angel genre and trust me you won't be able to put it down . There is more to this story then just falling in love . There is an underlying theme of forgiveness and loving unconditionally and the ability to actually do what is right when you are called to do it .  I just wish that it didn't end so soon, I would of loved to have it a little longer. Where we can really get a feeling for the main characters and watch their love grow . Over all i truly loved this book and the story line . The author does a great job taking us on a rollercoaster ride of emotion . So if you want a sweet sexy love story full of redemption and understanding this is the story for you . Check it out you will not be disappointed .
