                            BOOK BLURB

    A Haven Hollow Novel

Roses are red,
violets are blue,
demons are dangerous,
but love is too.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so love should be in the air, right?
Except it’s not—by a long-shot.
My sasquatch boyfriend, Roy, and I have been doing nothing but arguing and I’m not sure how our relationship is going to survive…
Things haven’t been exactly hunky-dory, but they’re about to get a whole lot worse when Fifi Stenham, a succubus demoness, barges into my store, declaring she needs my help.
Fifi’s family, led by her incubus brother, Angelo, are trying to kidnap her, wanting to ensure she fulfills the succubus credo—seduce and reduce—aka seduce men and reduce their energy by siphoning it from them.
Fifi, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with her succubus nature and wants to divorce herself from it permanently—so she’s finally able to find true love.
When Fifi is doused with a magical potion that quadruples her sensuality, all the citizens of Haven Hollow lose their minds and it becomes a mad dash to whisk Fifi off to safety, safety being Roy’s sasquatch foothold, located deep in the mountains.
It’s a trip I won’t easily forget as relationships and friendships are tested, as well as the bonds between mother and son.
And what I learn from the resident witch will change the course of my life…

                      MY REVIEW
Poppy and the gang are back and it is  Valentine's day . Where love is in the air except for Fifi the succubus that just wants to live a life in Haven Hollow. She is need of Poppy's help . Her brother is trying to kidnap her and make her tow the family line . Seduce and reduce the male population, but Fifi just wants to find true love and work at the Haven Hollow Real estate agency . When she is doused with magical love potion well things go from bad to worse . Even man wants her including Poppy's boyfriend Rory. They are on the run and trying to figure everything out . Will they all come out with their hearts intact or will they all be torn apart .

Ok adding Fifi to the mix in this story makes for more of a intense story line . The characters all go through a big change in this book . Poppy is still sweet but she also does a lot of growing in the book . She does some heavy thinking and we see taking the high road to make someone else happy. Wanda well she is still a work in progress but we do see her coming out of her pity party a little bit more. Astrid is going to really put Wanda through it and I can't wait to see how that goes . Rory is well he is still grouchy as ever . And we get to meet Fifi who just wants to live a normal life and her brother Angelo who you don't want to trust with anything . They are so well written and you will love reading them ,

This is such a fun read, we get to see the characters really grow in this book . I love the way these two authors write . They really can write with a passion and the rollercoaster of emotion you go through is amazing . I read this book in an afternoon and there were spots where I was laughing out loud . The brownie scenes were so funny and i snickered all the way through them. There are also times in the book that you will feel for Poppy and just want to hug her tight and tell her that everything will be ok. I so can't wait to see where these authors take the characters in the next book. So if you want a great series to read this summer. Check them out for your summer reading list .

                             BOOK BLURB

Being forty is supposed to be freaking fabulous not fatal.

Taking on a daunting new job minus the description isn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made, even if it was to save a friend. Hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be the stupidest… or deadliest.

Why can’t things stay the way they were? I love my old job. Supergluing ghosts back together and solving their issues is its own reward. Not to mention, I’m seriously good at it. Although, I must say, I’m ridiculously excited for the new Death Counselor’s arrival in nine months...

Adding to my problems, there are four new angels in town who are riding my butt and judging every move I make. Literally. Who knew destroying one Immortal could cause me so much trouble? If I’m found guilty, I’ll be pushing up daisies.

Luckily, my nutty friends have my back and the Grim Reaper has my heart. What could possibly go wrong?

Nothing is impossible. I am living proof. Let’s just hope I live to prove it.

                     MY REVIEW
When Daisy finds out she is pregnant with Gideon's baby she is over joyed . Her job as a death counselor is going along great Then things go awry with the four angels and a promotion that she really wasn't ready for . Will she be able to pass the angels tests and keep her life . With the help of her crazy friends she will get through the tests and come out alive .

Welcome back to the gang . Daisy and the rest are back and better then ever. Daisy is getting into all sorts of trouble trying to save her friend . She is stronger now with baby on board and is such a fun character . She is sassy and straight forward, she sometimes is more mouthy then she should be and that gets her in so much trouble.  Gideon is back and well as hot as ever now that he is going to be a dad . Love him sooo much .  The four angels are just well lets see evil on the way they are treating everyone . And the old angel of mercy is reeking havoc on Daisy trying to make her fail . These characters are so well written and becoming more and more complex with each book .

This is book five in the series and I am going to say that this book is one of the better books in the series . The author has expanded this world and the characters are complex . Each one has its own life and problems that go along with it . This is a fun read that will have you giggling and snorting all the way through the book .I really love this authors style of writing it is snarky and fun . So if you want a fun series to read for women over 40 living their best lives with a paranormal twists . Check it out I will tell you it will be a laugh out loud book . This would be a great series to read at the beach or pool side .

GOOD THURSDAY ALL

\Good morning all I hope your week is going great . Today I have a new book from V,J lee, FIGHTING FOR KAILEY.

                             BOOK BLURB

Leddy Reed married golden-boy and prom king William Clark and the couple had Kailey. When the king's crown tarnishes, she finds herself without a house, and he finds himself in the big house. Rex Oliver offers her a place to stay and she readily accepts, because no matter how mean he was to her in high school, she would always fight for what's best for Kailey.

Rex Oliver, the bad boy and town hot-head, can only offer Leddy his meager trailer as a home. He had no idea he would or could love until Leddy and Kailey turn his trailer into a real home. Now William Clark is back, offering Leddy her dream home, but Rex will fight to keep Kailey.

William Clark fell from grace, losing his home, family, and his freedom. Now that he has served his time, he's coming back to his hometown as a better and much richer man. He will spend every last penny of his massive fortune fighting to get Kailey back.

Will Kailey's home be a small trailer or a massive mansion? Who will Leddy choose as her true king? Who will be the victor in the fight for Kailey?

                    MY REVIEW
Leddy had it all at one time she had married the high school golden boy had the perfect life with the beautiful little girl . Until the day her whole world fall apart . Enter Rex the bad boy in high school who offers her a place to stay and a love that could rock the world . Leddy and Kailey , Rex have a good life in the trailer . Until William walks back into their lives and now she is torn between the man in her past and the man who loves her and her daughter unconditionally .

I will say I really liked the characters in this book. Leddy is a woman who has had it and lost it . She is sassy  and loving but she is also a little naive about some things . Rex is the bad boy who has a heart of gold. He is a sweet guy who has been labeled bad by everyone in town, and is working to repair the damages he has done in his past . William was the golden boy who had it all and fell hard . He is kind of arrogant and thinks that he can get everything back he lost . There was a moment when you really did like William but I like Rex more . They are so well written and complex . You really love to hate them and then love them at the same time.

This author really put us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions . There were moments in the book where I laughed so hard I had tears and in the next moment I was crying. The characters are well developed and you can't help but love them. I read this book in an evening and I couldn't put it down.  This author has a way of writing that will have you on the edge of your seat most of the way through the book. Yes there will be tears and laughter but by the end of the book you will be cheering each character on. So if you want a good summer read check it out . This would be a great book to add to your summer reading list .

                    MY REVIEW
This anthology has some of my favourite authors taking part . Each story is a fun laugh out loud read . They all seem to be taking place one night out of the characters lives. Each author has taken each character and made some good reads .

One of my favourite stories is BLACK CAT COCKTAIL  by Hp Mallory and JR Rain.  This story has the girls from Haven Hollow whipping cocktails and potions . Wand and Poppy are trying to have a girls night when things just get out of their hands . When Poppy drops two potions on Hellcat he starts disappearing reappearing all over town . Now there is a race against time to find him and cure him. Will Wanda ever forgive Poppy and will she have a new opinion of Hell cat.
The girls are back and funnier then ever . Wanda is just as moody as ever and Poppy well she is so sweet . I love these characters so much . They are well written and complex . I love where the authors took Wanda from hating on her familiar to actually loving the furry little guy . Most of the Haven Hollow are back in this book helping to find Hellcat. Which adds such funny twists every now and then in the book.

You can read this story in about an hour or so . Its a fun piece that goes well with the other stories .

This anthology is a fun read . I really enjoyed the stories the authors were telling . There were books i did like more then other .  You will find some great new characters to love and then also fall in love again with characters you know so well . This would be a great summer read for your holiday reading .

GOOD WEDNESDAY ALL

Good morning all , and it is hump day and a glorious hump day it is . Today I have a brand new series for you from my favourite  authors J.R Rain and Hp Mallory. Lets go to the north and meet THE VIKING WOLF .

                            BOOK BLURB

For as long as I can remember, I’ve known things I have no way of knowing—it’s almost like getting little whispers from the future, little hints about what’s going to happen...

When I receive an email from an unknown sender about a little town called Marshall Heights, I can’t seem to shake the feeling that I’m meant to move there.

Fast forward a few weeks and I find myself starting over in this postage-sized town. And when I happen to see him loading groceries into an old truck, I’m shocked speechless.

I’ve been in love with Torsten Black ever since he left me with no explanation eight years ago. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t thought of him. So, to see him here, now, in this Podunk town… it has to be fate.

But, Torsten isn’t as happily surprised to see me. Instead, he appears to be haunted by his past—a past full of secrets and lies. Torsten insists he’s not the same man he used to be.

He also insists that I’m not safe in Marshall Heights—something which becomes abundantly clear when Torsten’s brother, Skarde, a full-blown Viking warrior come from another realm, suddenly shows up in my apartment and tries to murder me.

Realizing I’m not the witch he thinks I am, Skarde releases me and then demands I join his cause—a cause I know and want nothing to do with.

Even if Skarde is just as gorgeous as his brother, he’s a loose cannon. Whereas Torsten is dark and brooding, Skarde is cocky and demanding. The two can’t stand each other and, at this point, I’m starting to agree with them both.

Regardless, now I’m not only involved in something I don’t understand, I’m in over my head.

In over my head = Viking wolf shifters, jealous and vengeful goddesses, and the start of the first of three winters which will doom mankind.

Learning I possess the blood of the Valkyrie (from Odin) as well as the blood of the witches (from Freya), I’m straddling the line between both pantheons of gods.
Stuck in the eye of the storm, I have no idea how to get out…

                         MY REVIEW
When Jovi decides to head to Marshall Heights for a new job . Things just seem to be different . When she sees the man that she has feelings for loading groceries . Torsten is happy to see her at all. He doesn't seem like the same man that he use to be . He is haunted by the past and is the shadow of what he was .  When something happens and the truth comes out will Jovi come out of this alive and will her heart be intact .

This is a really well written story, I adore the characters , they are well written and complex . Jovi is a sweet woman who just wants to live her life . She has a spark about her and when push comes to shove she will defend herself . She is complex and sometimes she comes off as a scared rabbit but she has the heart of a warrior . Torsten is a man haunted by what has happened and what is going to happen.  He is tall and sexy and wow you want to climb him like a spider monkey. There is more to him then meets the eye also, he is a shifter . Then we get to meet Skrade , now he is a Nordic god all tall sexy and oh so alpha . He is a warrior through and through. You love to hate him .

This story is the first in the series and I like the way the authors have set it up. The story has it all its paranormal and a good dose of Norse mythology . The characters are well written and complex .  I sat down and read this book in an evening . I was hooked by the end of the first chapter . I totally thought it was a good read and I truly loved the characters. It is a fast fun read that will keep you entertained . I can't wait to see where the authors take the characters . So if you want a good summer read check it out . You will like it .

                             BOOK BLURB

Adeline Severance's dangerous, magical double life has finally caught up with her.

Adeline stands charged with high treason for the practice of warding - and cutting into the Magistrate's profit margin. With the odds stacked against her and nowhere left to hide, Adeline Severance must face the Magistrate and their corrupt system of justice without a single ounce of magic.

The only thing left standing between Adeline and a lead line box is a paper thin defense and a short list of allies. Fortunately for her, the Goddess counts herself among them. All she has to do to gain her freedom is stick to the plan and keep the faith.

But freedom isn't always free and this time it just might cost Adeline her heart.

                      MY REVIEW
Adeline is living a double life and it has finally caught up with her. She has had her magic bound and and she is being charged with treason because she has been practicing warding . She is one step to a lead box is a little haphazard  defense and a small . Will she be able to find her way out and will she come out with her heart intact.

Adeline is a character that you will love . She is feisty and you want to be her friend. She is strong willed and just want to live her life. She is a well written and very complex with each book . Nicholas is the man she loves but right now he is not her . He is hot and sexy and there are moments when you want to climb him like a spider monkey.  I really like him. There are more characters that you want love. They are complex and so well written.

This is the final book in the series and I was waiting for it . The author takes us on a wild ride that will have you on the edge of your seat most of the time .  The characters are well written and complex . I really enjoyed this series and the tattoo aspect of the story.  Tattoos have a special place in my heart so when I heard about this series I was hooked .  I would read this story in order . So if you want a great series for your summer reading list check it out .

                          BOOK BLURB

The life Diana worked so hard for is falling apart.

As a dancer, the body is everything but something is wrong with her body. She can feel it. All these strange aches and pains. Yet the show must go on. So, she ignores it.

Until she can't anymore.

The man she's been paired to dance with has a voice like midnight summers and she'd love to dance the hours away with him; however, the onset of Lupus throws everything between them and everything she's worked her life to have helter-skelter. Either she stands straight or falls six feet under. .

Love and hurt don't wait. They collide.

                         MY REVIEW
Diana is a principle dancer in a prestigious ballet company and aches and pains come along with that commitment . She knows there is something wrong the pain is new but she ignores it. There is the moment that she can't over look the pain any longer . The man of her dreams comes into her life and when they dance it is beautiful . When Lupus takes her down and throws a kink into her plans . Will she be able to stand tall or will the lupus take her down .

The characters in this novella are well written . We get to see Diana fight to keep going . She is a dedicated dancer that well has the fight of her life ahead of her . There are moments where you do want to shake her cause she will not take care of herself . Demetrio is a dreamy guy . He is sweet and man can he dance .  He is passionate and wants to take care of those he loves. He is a wonderful character and together with Diana become a complex couple .  Dance is also its own character through out the book.

This may be a novella but it is packed with an intensity that could rival most full length novels . The author really takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride. You are on the edge of your seat most of the way through the book . The story is a fast read and you can have it read in an evening . The only thing I wish for is that we could of had more time with the characters . Over all I truly enjoyed this story and wonder if the characters will be back. So if you want a book that you can read in the hammock this summer check it out

ITS TIME FOR A BLOOD PACT

                             BOOK BLURB

In Hiro’s world, youkai are a supernatural story used to scare children into obedience, and to keep men out of back alleys and brothels. Until Sakurai Hideyoshi walks through his door with a fantastical tale of a samurai who had killed a thousand men and drank the blood of his enemies, a man that lived in darkness but sought beauty to keep it at bay.

A story both terrifying and romantic…and completely ridiculous.

Unless it is true.

Convinced something softer lurks behind Hideyoshi’s hard mask, Hiro follows him home. And discovers the story is real.

Only instead of the blood of his enemies, it is innocent blood taken.

Hideyoshi tells him never to return. Yet after Hiro’s mother is mortally wounded, Hiro runs back to the one being he knows with the power to save her. When Hideyoshi can’t, Hiro begs him for the next best thing: the power to avenge her.

As Hiro becomes youkai, he faces a new threat, something darker, older, and far more dangerous. With Hideyoshi at his side, Hiro must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice--and what he’s willing to do--to protect this new life before he loses everything for a second time.

 EXCERPT
A samurai of his reputation didn’t come into town without being noticed, and I was able to get directions to his house from the second person I asked. I stumbled through the narrow streets to an estate in the shadow of the Imperial Palace. It looked like a palace itself, with sweeping tile roofs peeking over a high stone wall. A small torii marked the entrance to a shrine no bigger than a closet on the south corner, the smell of burned incense still hanging in the air around it.
Standing in front of his heavy wooden gate, I bunched my hands in the sleeves of my kimono. What was I doing here? I couldn’t ask him for help. The problems of a geisha were far beneath him, and he’d already done more than his fair share for me. I told myself I just needed to thank him, maybe apologize for the brush-off I’d given him in Ponto-cho.
I took a deep breath and knocked lightly on the gate. “Sakurai-han?” My voice cracked terribly, and I cringed, clearing my throat before trying again. “Sakurai-han? It’s Hiro.”
I leaned closer to the gate, ears attuned to movement. I knocked again, more firmly this time, and the gate swung inward a little.
“Ojamashimasu,” I called softly as I poked my head through the gap.
Lavish gardens abloom with wisteria and hydrangea stretched out before me. My sandals scraped across the stone path that crossed over a pond teaming with koi and led to the entrance of the sprawling estate. The shoji were all closed except one, which was open just enough to give me a peek inside. Lamplight flickered over screens depicting ink-black birds on a field of gold.
A shadow moved inside. My skin flushed hot and cold at the same time. My heart did a strange little dance over my rib cage. I took another step forward and tried to call out to him, but couldn’t squeeze my voice through my clenched throat.
My fluttering heart came to an abrupt stop when I realized he wasn’t alone. Another person stood very close to him, his arms wrapped around them, his head lowered into their neck.
I should have stopped. I should have turned around and walked away, but even though my stomach felt full of pins, I stepped closer. The person he was with—a woman—took shape as I drifted onto the engawa. Slender, fair skinned, modestly ornamented hair in a fashionable topknot. Someone befitting a man like Sakurai Hideyoshi. A person who mattered.
Had I read it all wrong? His complete disinterest in the oiran had led me to believe he was disinterested in women altogether, but maybe it was something else. His reaction to me pursuing work in Ponto-cho hinted at a distaste for the profession. A hollow opened up in my chest. Maybe all he’d wanted was to hear me sing, after all.
She made some small sound, and my insides twisted into something ugly. They swayed together like the interlocked branches of a tree caught by the wind. I shrank back but stopped as the hands that had been knotted in the fabric of his kimono relaxed, went limp, and fell to her sides. Her knees buckled, and Sakurai-han went down with her until she was flat on her back. There was something strange about the way she fell, like the air had all gone out of her.
With a groan, he straightened and sat back on his heels, eyes closed, the back of his hand pressed against his mouth. His cheeks were ruddy, his expression loose and serene as if he were drunk or high. When he dropped his hand, something thick and dark clung to his lips, and his tongue swept across them.

Blood.

                            BOOK BLURB

    A Haven Hollow Novel

I’m what’s known as a Blood Witch—a witch who was half-turned by a vampire. I’m still in the process of learning how to reverse my condition by returning his ‘kiss’ to the vampire who blooded me, Lorcan Rowe.

But every time we attempt the spell, it goes awry.

Now it’s become a race against time; if Lorcan’s powers aren’t returned to him through a reversal spell, he’ll eventually lose his mind and there’s a very good chance he’ll kill me in the process.

As if that weren’t bad enough, through a misfiring of my unpredictable magic, I manage to inundate my house with bubbling mold spores. When the spores start whispering about murder, I know something wicked this way comes.

Between ghosts suddenly coming back to life, bodies found buried in the backyard, and vampires demanding my full blooding, my life is going from bad to worse.

I can only hope that the bane of my existence, who also happens to be my familiar, Hellcat, doesn’t breathe a word of this to my mother. If he does, I’ll have to add ‘burning at the stake’ to the list of things already going very wrong…

                           MY REVIEW
Wanda is trying to help Lorcan reverse the spell and give him his life back but everything they are doing seems to be going wrong . To make matters worse she turns her house into one big bubbly mold mess . That are whispering ghostly premonitions . All while she is trying to get her magical dress shop up and going . With ghosts hanging around and then there are the bodies buried all around the back yard what is a witch to do .

This is book two in the series and well Wanda is really in it this time . She just really wants to dislike everyone especially Poppy but alas things don't go as planned . She is trying to do good but she also just doesn't want to work hard at it.  She seems to be whiney and self indulged at the start of the book . I know she is misunderstood but she can come off as a hag. It could be because of the way she as raised in the coven . You really do see her turn about through out the book. She really starts to care for the people she is involved with . I must say i really like hellcat he is like the conscious that Wanda needs some times he is arrogant little cat that one moment you want to love and the next min punt him across room . Which makes him lovable in his own way.

I read this book in an evening , I love the characters and they are so well written. You really get a feel for what the characters are feeling through out the book . The authors have a way of writing that will have you laughing hard one min and then on the edge of your seat the next. I can't wait to see where the authors take the characters .  Its a fun, fast read that will you will love . So if you want a good summer read check out this series .
