GOOD TUESDAY EVERYONE

  Good Tuesday all, I am back from a little break , I hope that everyone is doing well and finding great books to read . Today I have for you book 3 in The Blood Rose Academy series . COLD BLOOD by Hp Mallory and JR. Rain

  As a vampire, the last place I want to go is a town full of witches. But here I am, in the old west-themed town of Jinx Junction.

Good thing I’ve got Lorcan along for the ride.

So why do we find ourselves in this particular level of hell?

Because my uncle, Fox Aspen, gave me explicit instructions to meet him here. Why? I have no clue.

As to Jinx Junction? This town sucks the big one (and not in a cool, vampy sort of way), more like an unfriendly, witchy sort of way.

Not only are the inhabitants aching to hex me but there isn’t a whole lot to do.

And I’m missing my boyfriend, Rook, something fierce.

But back to the witches—the last thing I want to do is tick off anyone in this horrible place…

So, when I manage to seriously upset the sheriff of Jinx Junction, Lucretia Boline, well, I’m nervous it might be lights out for me.

Lucretia aside, I’m pretty sure there’s a reason why Uncle Fox was so emphatic about meeting him here.

I just hope that reason doesn’t get me killed.

For good.

                     MY REVIEW 

   Astrid and Lorcan are back and heading to of all places a hollow that is run buy a coven of witches that are shoot now an ask questions later. She doesn't understand why her uncle Fox is sending her there . With her new undead life she is heading there to see what is going on. Now with Lorcan on her side, she will be ok or so she thinks. With the head of the Hexus Rangers and the head of the coven. Who just wants to obliterate her from the face of the earth. She will survive and figure out why her Uncle Fox wanted her there and what is really going on in Jinx Junction. 

   Astrid and Lorcan are back and funnier than ever. Astrid is having a hard time with her undead life but Lorcan is there to help her out and guide her.  Astrid well she is still coming to terms with what happened to her at school. She is trying really hard not to be bitter about loosing her witch powers but she is also learning a lot about her other side, her fairy side. She is trying to figure out what is going on in town. When push comes to shove she truly finds out what she is made of and that it is made of iron and will . Well also get to meet some new characters . Meredith who is a young witch who can't do black magic and is really scared of her mother. She becomes a really good friend to Astrid and puts up a good fight with white magic instead of black magic the coven is known for.  Lorcan and Fox are back and well Lorcan is his debonair way that will make you smile . Fox is well you still don't know what he is up to most of the time . I love how the characters are growing and becoming more and more complex.

  I was so excited to see this book had come out . I really wanted to know how Astrid was doing since she became undead.  The story is a fun fast read that will have you giggling through out. I love this off shoot of the Haven Hollow series and it adds to the whole complexity of the hollow . The story is fun and has a lesson of you can do what needs to be done and save yourself when push comes to shove. I can't wait to see what is going on in the hollow in the next book. The characters are fun and you will fall in love with them . So if you want a fun read with great stories and fun characters check out the series .

  Phoenyx is back and her day has gone from bad to worse . After  one night with Judas things are starting to change for Jane. She is turning into a power that out rivals most super naturals. She finds herself embroiled in a world of witches , demons , vampires full of danger and lust . Will she be able to hang on to herself and fall into the dark side and will her family be helpful and keep her out harms way. 

  Phoenyx is back and wow does she go through a change. After one night of passion she comes into her powers that have been hidden from her since birth. She really starts to figure out what she really is and watching her turn into what her destiny is . She is becoming one very complex character with such force that you can't help but love her. We also dive into some of the other characters deeper. Ash is well he is a tortured soul in vampire coating . There is a lot more to him then meets the eye. We also get to meet Hutton's brother who well just wants Jane to open up to the dark side. Cortez is back and better then ever. I truly love him and his sassiness when it comes to Jane. I must admit that these characters are getting better and better . I love how we get to see Jane's darker side and how she is trying navigate what her new powers are. 

 The second book in the series I will say is darker then the first one. We get to delve into the darker side of magic. We get to see the main character struggle and doubt herself and just trying to navigate all that is going on in her world.  You dive into the book and then you can't put it down. The author really puts our girl through so much in this book. There is so much going on in this book. We have romance, demons magic and lots of drama family and otherworldly.  So if you want a good series check it out . I can't wait to start book 3 to see where things will head for Jane and the gang.

                     MY REVIEW 

 Philippa, Grant and William are back in the last installment of the series. They are trying to figure out where they are after Philippa comes back from a harrowing experience. A new carnival pops up in town . There are reports of The Shadow Carnival and the sinister things that are coming out of the carnival. There is more to this carnival then meets the eyes . Until the day tragedy happens and Philippa must come to terms and follow her heart to a happy every after . 

 They are back and better then ever. We get to see Philippa in a more self realizing state of mind. We see her coming to terms with her feelings and what is good for her and the men in her life. Grant well he is still an upstanding inspector but there is a little more to him and what happens is kind of amazing when he ends up hurt . We get to see a softer side to both of them. William is well he is the best friend a girl could have but he is also a cad and a big ole tease.. These characters have really grown and become beloved to me.  The author really captured them in a way that you could not help but care for them. 

  

  This is the last book in the series and I was sad that it was ending but so happy that we will be able to see if they get their hea's which I was really hoping they would . The characters are so well written and complex and the story is so much fun to read. I couldn't put it down and tried to read it slowly cause I didn't want it to end. Check out this series , you will laugh and cry in a few spots . This series should be added to your spring reading list .

GOOD MONDAY MORNING

  Good morning my peeps, I am back after a self imposed reading break. Today I have for you a new author for me Tasha Creed and the first book in The Dark Enchantment series  RED

                     MY REVIEW 

   Lilian is an outcast in her pack, she always feels like she doesn't belong. She is treated like nothing but a slave to the alpha and his obnoxious son. The only place she feels at ease is at her grandmother's house but when she realizes there is a beast in the woods has a connection with her. When things go from bad to worse Lilian needs to make a choice and choose her destiny break the curse of the beast or save the pack. Will she be able to be strong enough to make the choice .

  Ok the characters in this story are well they are well written . Lilian to me is a very submissive woman, sometimes just a little too much. She seems so naive through out the start of this book.  When push comes to shove though we really see Lilian grow and become what she is destined to be. Corbin is one of those characters that most of the time you really just want to wring his neck. He comes of as an arrogant man who is just mean to those under him. He does have his nice points but they always come with a price. The bid bad wolf is the one character that you will love from the moment you meet him. He is such a tortured soul and as the story goes we find out more about him and why he is cursed . You truly want to help him and save him through out the story,

 This is a retelling of Little Red Riding hood and it is pretty good . The characters are well written and I can't wait to see how they develop. The story has good versus evil but really do we know who the evil actually is. The twists are so much fun to follow and there are a few of them through out the book . Over all I really enjoyed the story but I just felt the beginning of the story was a little slow but it did pick up and then it kind of took off and the twist at the ending was great. Can't wait to read book 2 in the series . So if you want a fun retelling of red riding hood check it out .
