WE MADE IT TO DAY 7 OF READER ROUND UP

  Good morning my book loving peeps . we made it to day seven of reader round up. Today I have for you a second chance fairy tale retelling . THE WOLF IS RUNNING FROM RED  by Toni Lynn

Dan and Amanda were destined to be with one another; Amanda “Red” Peters knew it. She knew he was the one since he saved her in kindergarten. After college, they would marry, and she’d get the guy, the kids, and the dog. It didn’t matter that her family had money and Dan’s didn’t. Then on the day he came home from college, Dan Gathers turned cold, broke her heart, and left town.

Eight years ago, Dan Gathers left his heart and went on to become “the Wolf” of banking in New York. When his father falls ill, he has to leave his life behind and go home to face a father who knew he would be back; he saw the signs. A mother who has a saying for all occasions and an ex-girlfriend who has determined she will do the right thing by them both.

Can these two settle the past, trust the future and survive a town that is determined to help them? In Hollyport, love is always a little complicated but totally worth it.

                     MY REVIEW 

 Amanda and Dan were destined to be , so Amanda thought, ever since he saved her in kindergarten. She thought that they would get married and have kids. When in college he broke her heart and left to head to the big city.  In the eight years away Dan has become the wolf of the banking world. He thought he had the world by the tail until his dad gets ill and he has to head home. Where his ex girlfriend is and his mother who knows that they belong together and just need to be together. Will they work through the tangled mess he left and figure out past hurt and become the couple that they should be. 

  Ok this is a retelling of little red riding hood but Red is doing the chasing this time. Red is one very unique woman. She is very accomplished but also very wary of who she is around .She is no nonsense and knows what she wants but she also is kind of scared cause she has been hurt.  Dan well he is kind of a jerk when we first meet him and through out the book he is still a jerk but he does have a heart of gold and truly does love the people in his life . He is just working through a lot that has happened to him and coming to terms with his future and what it would be like.  There are so many other characters that will make you laugh through out the book. Dan's parents are hilarious in their seeing of the signs around them and what they mean but they are smarter then they let on and know what their son really needs in his life. 

  I am at a cross roads with this book. I really love the premise of the story and the characters are well written and you do care for them. But. there were times through the book I just felt confused and a little lost . I felt the story was just disjointed in some ways and it didn't flow as well as it should .  Overall I truly enjoyed this story and where the author was going with the characters . Love their quirkiness and the love they do have for each other . So if you want to take a chance and have a fun read check it out
