Good afternoon my peeps today is the first book in the summer reader rounder up. Today's book is the second book in the Faded Skies series . ASCENDANT UNREST by Matthew S Cox.

MY REVIEW
After Maya tried to save the world but things aren't going well, She is in constant fear of what her mother is going to do. So she is fighting a battle that can not be won and to top it off her best friend Sarah is hiding a very painful secret. Her fears came true one night when she and Sarah are thrust into the streets and chased by dosers and street gangs corrupt officers . They are hunting her but not to kidnap her they want her dead . She doesn't know who to trust.
Maya and the gang are back and trying to live a simple life. Maya is such a sweet girl who is wanting a family of her own. She was an object of propaganda and used by a woman who is the most evil woman out there . She was kidnapped and the people that kidnapped became more of a family than the woman who engineered her. She is a sweet girl who has been through so much and seen so much in her young life. She is a strong girl with strong girls that will do anything to keep their family together. Genna and Pope are back and fighting hard to keep the rag tag family together. I really like these characters they have grown and become more complex. I have fallen for May and Sarah I feel like they could be my own kids.
This is one of those books that when you start reading you can't put it down. There are so many complex issues that come out from who are your friends and who isn't . The author is a great story teller with a great writing style that expands your mind along with reading a great dystopian tale that will blow your mind. You should read Ascendant before diving into this book so you can understand what is going on in this book. So if you want a great summer read this is the series that will have you reading this summer.
