  Good morning my peeps and welcome to the weekend . I hope your weekend is going well and you are all having a good day. Today I have for you  book 3 in the Gwen's Ghosts series by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain. Lets dive into DEAD OF NIGHT. 

                           BOOK BLURB 

 After breaking into Chambon Hall in an attempt to find any evidence that might link Bastian to Victoria’s murder, I’m shocked to find Bastian returning from his date early!

Now I’m stuck hiding in his house.

To make matters worse, soon the police come knocking on his door.

Faced with the realization that Bastian is being arrested for Victoria’s murder, I still can’t shake the feeling that he’s innocent.

So I make it my personal mission to find out who is really responsible for her death.

And when I finally figure out whodunit, I just might become victim number two.

                      MY REVIEW 

   Gwen and Petra are at it again. When Gwen breaks into Bastian's house to find clues on who killed Victoria things go from bad to worse . When Bastian comes home early Gwen must hide so he doesn't catch her. She is almost caught a few times and overhears a strange conversation between Bastian and an unknown caller. Just as things were getting to warm in walk the police to search the house. Well what is a girl to do but play hide - n - seek with the help of her best friend and ghost Petra. Will they ever figure out who killed Victoria or will Gwen end up as the second victim. 

  Gwen and Petra are back and I will say funnier than ever. Gwen is well lets say she is one feisty middle aged woman . She seems to be getting stuck in the middle of a mystery and wants to get to the bottom of it . She and Petra together make a great duo, a comic duo but a duo none the less. Bastian is well you still really can't trust him at all. He really gives off a bad vibe most of the time and the other ten percent of the time you kind of want to slap him. Then we have Leo the sad sweet man who is in a loveless relationship that he  wants to leave but doesn't have the guts to do it . He is the total opposite of Bastian he is sweet and kind and the type of guy you can take home to meet the parents. 

  This is the third novella in the series and I will admit it is the funniest. Petra and Gwen are a great comedy duo. The authors have a warped sense of haha when it comes to these characters and love to stick them in some weird situations. I mean what do you when you have two men in your pantry and the cops knocking at your door (read the book to find out ). This is a faced paced mystery with secrets, lies murder and a side of laughter to keep you on your toes. You should read the books in order because this book starts where book 2 left off .                      MY REVIEW

     Rayne Carter has secrets that she has hidden for awhile but what is happening to her is more then just being a werewolf . She is on the hunt for her brother and the wolf pack that is from Desperado a ghost town in the Arizona desert. When she runs into  Sam the pack enforcer and sparks fly and when lives are put in danger and Rayne's life is put in danger. His attraction and feelings are put in danger. Will they survive the night or will they be pulled apart before they truly find each other.

  Rayne and Sam are well they are a great set of characters. Rayne is a fighter but like any good heroine she is wrestling with a dark secret . There is something very special about Rayne and its not that she is a werewolf. There is something special that Rayne can do and when she does it amazes everyone. Sam well what can we say about Sam, he is well lets just say a sexy, broody cowboy. He has had some heart break where he had feelings for someone but she wasn't his mate.  When they meet there wasn't sparks but there was a certain pull between them and it is undeniable that there is a spark . The characters from the first book are back and ready to fight with Rayne and Sam to find out what is in the desert . 

 This is the second book in the series and I was excited when I started reading  and found out this was Sam's book. He stood out in book one and glad he got more. The author writes such dynamic characters that you want to get to know better. The story moves fast and this particular one happens all in one night . So when you sit down to read be prepared for a fast paced book with plenty of intrigue, a bit of romance and whole bunch of attraction. I think it can be read as a stand alone but it is good to read the first book to get to know Sam and the rest of the cast . So check it out you just might fall in love with Desperado and the wolf pack that lives there.

   Good morning my peeps hope your weekend was one for the books. It finally cleared up and the snow is melting again and I did get some good books read. Today I have for your book 3 in the Dragon's Birthright series. THE DRAGON'S FIGHT  by Hp Mallory and J.R RAin

  There’s a war on the horizon that I want nothing to do with.

                       MY REVIEW 

   

  There is a war brewing between  Gaunt and Latran and Selena and Devon are right in the middle of it . Who knew peace talks would be so hard to set up. When the queens of Gaunt and Latran show up things don't go as planned for the sisters. One sister murders the other and takes Selena hostage , where she overhears the plans of her sister Sylvia to take over al the provinces and rule with an iron fist. What will Selena do with the help of Devon she has a choice to make fly off with him and be safe or stay and fight and maybe loose her life. 

   Selena and Devon and ready to fight, Selena is fighting hard fighting for her freedom and fighting for everyone . She is a strong woman who wants the provinces to come together. Devon well he is a fighter but he is also kind of getting a little tired of rescuing her yet again. They are  good but stronger together. Her sisters are pieces of work who knew two people could be evil but they do a good job at it .Sylvia well she really needs an attitude adjustment she is pure evil. The characters are well written and complex and there are so many that come in contact with our main characters, 

  Wow what a way to end the series, there is some romance, murder and well a war that will have you on the edge of your seat most of the way through. The authors chose a good way to end the series . This is a series with morally grey characters and things aren't always they seem. This is one of those series that you will get sucked in and fall in love with the characters. Check it out you must read them in order .
