GOOD MONDAY MORNING ALL

Good Monday morning all, to us in Canada , hope you are all relaxing from your long weekend . Today we are going to review SAVING A LEGEND by Sarah Robinson.

                              BOOK BLURB

His family’s gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn’t followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran’s simply going through the motions—until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for her very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran’s best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.

Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she’d love to find a devoted partner. But she won’t jeopardize her sister’s happiness—or risk revealing her tortured past—on a love-’em-and-leave-’em type of guy like Kieran . . . so it’s up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well . . . there’s a fighting chance.
                         MY REVIEW
I must say that this is only the second book I have read by Sarah Robinson.  These books are about a family that owns a gym and trains MMA  fighters . This is Kieran's book the second book in the series . He has just gotten out of jail and is trying to make up for lost time . He is doing his community service at a center for kids . Where he meets Fiona and he kid sister she, who is autistic. She is leery of any man and is tired of finding the love em and leave em guys . Will Kieren be able to show her that he means business both in and out of the ring .
I am glad that this book can be read as a stand alone because I actually read this one first and then went on to the first book of the series . I must say that this author as a keen sense of writing . Her characters are well developed. I think the best character in the book was Shea a little autistic child . The author did a great job in researching on what an austistic child goes through on a daily basis. I applaud her for writing such a sweet character in her . Some of the other characters seemed to me were a little cookie cutter . Kieran the big strong alpha hiding a past and trying to overcome what he has done. There were moments that I  just either wanted to slap him or hug him . I didn't know what I should do. He is your typical good guy, done something stupid paid his price now trying to start over .  Fiona is your typical girl next door , she is struggling with her flower shop and watching her little sister . She to me was in some ways too easy going , when it came to Kieran . She basically let him take over and make all the decisions for her and Shea . She is also very ummmmm what is the word , oh yeah hypocritical of Kieran when she has her own secrets and a past that is bad . The family is your typical family , mom is ever so sweet and dad is there to help in anyway he can . They all rally around and help out .
Over all I really enjoyed this book , it was a sweet fast read , great for the beach or poolside this summer . Buts sometimes it felt like every other romance out there , predictable and just a little underwhelming . That being said though I did really enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone who likes a sweet romance with sexy men and the women who love them .  This is a great story for the summer readers out there . So check it out if you want a really good summer read.
