GOOD AFTERNOON PEEPS

Good afternoon peeps we are getting closer and closer to the end of reader roundup. This afternoon I have for you book 4 in the Burnt Ends cozy mystery series . SEARED REVENGE  by Erica J Whelton.

                             BOOK BLURB

When the annual Hill Country Thunder Rally brings three thousand bikers to Prairie Rose, Jackie Prescott and Lauren Benoit are ready to serve the biggest crowd Charlie Joe's BBQ Shack has ever seen. But the rumble of engines soon turns deadly when a body is discovered at the Iron Wolves campsite, and the murder is just the beginning.

As rival motorcycle clubs point fingers and old feuds resurface, a second victim falls. Then a third. The killings are connected to a disbanded club called the Lone Road Riders, whose treasurer vanished three years ago with $47,000 in stolen funds. Now someone is eliminating everyone who knows the truth about what really happened.

With the FBI descending on their small town and the killer still among the rally crowd, Jackie, Lauren, and Melody must navigate a dangerous web of embezzlement, faked deaths, and bitter revenge. Complicating matters, their estranged mother Dawn has arrived on their doorstep with nothing but a small suitcase, humbled and seeking a second chance. The sisters cautiously put her to work at the restaurant, where Dawn proves surprisingly capable, though her old habits around attractive men threaten to cause problems with the motorcycle clubs.

The rally coordinator is hiding his identity. A terrified witness holds explosive secrets. And threatening messages make clear that asking questions could be fatal.

As the sisters dig deeper into the past, they discover that some debts can never be repaid and some secrets are worth killing to protect. When the final confrontation comes, the family will need all their courage to survive a killer who's been planning revenge for three years.

In Prairie Rose, the road to justice is paved with smoke, secrets, and the ghosts of crimes that refuse to stay buried.

                          MY REVIEW
The ladies are back and busier than ever , the big biker rally is only a few days away and the gang are working 24/7 getting ready and testing recipes for the breakfast burritos. Everything is going good there have been a few mishaps when the bikers get there. Like an over flirty mother oh and murder of three bikers that have happened around the campground and well by the dumpsters at Charlies restaurant. The gang need to keep a sharp eye out and survive the week . All good plans always come with a side of crazy family. .  There is also a romance blooming between Police chief Ray and Lauren which is so sweet.
The ladies are back and having the best time ever working together. Jackie is still keeping everything together and Lauren is working hard and they are living the dream Melody is in school and thriving . We have Dawn thrown into the mix , she is well lets say she is trying some days are better than others but over all she is trying. . We also get to meet some very fun bikes that are all sweet and caring . I truly love these characters are like coming home by this time. Each of them is like a member of the family .
This is the fourth book in the series and I really liked a lot.  There is a lot that is going on and when you figure out you will be like oh wow how did the author do that. This is a fun cozy mystery that does pack a lot into it.  You know things continuously change but also stay the same . Every member of town is there to help you out when you need the help. So grab a sweet tea and snuggle down for a fun read .
