   Good afternoon all , finally out of the deep freeze here , so excited . Today we have a new author to me, Madison Granger and her book HEART OF STONE .

                        MY REVIEW

   Ok I have found my new paranormal genre to read . Roul d Jourdan has been cursed to live as a stone statue to watch over the people. To be a Gargoyle during the day and guardian over the city at night . Until the day that a beautiful woman that loves him for him and unconditionally .  Lexi is as low as they can go until the day she gets her dream job and finds Roul's statue in the park where she talks and admires the lone statue.  They are thrown together by chance but love will help them through .Will the curse be broken and will they haved their happily ever after 

   I really got invested in these two characters, they are both tortured souls in their own way. Roul well at the beginning he was a rascal , strong, sexy and kind of arrogant . When you meet him as a gargoyle, he is still sexy but also more into saving the city instead of trying to break the curse . Lexie well we see her at her lowest point . She comes off a little naive through out the book . Also she always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time . They are a fun couple to read . You will like them  a lot . 

    This is a short read that will have turning pages . The author takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride . I actually had a couple of tears rolling down my cheeks on what happens to poor Lexie . This girl goes through so much and still is standing at the end . The only thing that i wish it was just a little longer and a little more in depth .  I truly enjoyed  this book and i am now in love with Gargoyles . So if you want a short fun read with some really good characters and you like Gargoyles check out this book . You will like it

 Wow I am back the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated , but man I seriously thought that the grim reaper was coming to get me .  So as my back from the brink of death review . I am going to review the newest Grim Reaper book by Boone Brux . FIREWEED AND BRIMESTONE

                           MY REVIEW 

   Just another day in the life of a GRS employee . Lisa Carron has had a really rough year . After her husband's death a little over a year ago  her world has been topsy turvy .  The day she thinks she has a handle on her and her children's life a mysterious reciept shows up and throws hers and Nates lives over the edge yet again. As the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place , there is still things that aren't fitting . With Nate and some of her old friends helping out things will get figured out . But will they survive to live another day.

  Lisa and Nate are back and honestly funnier then ever . Lisa just keeps getting better and better . Her snarky attitude is back and working better then ever . She also still has a sadness about her, trying to grieve for her husband , the new man in her life and well working for a living has her going every which way . I love her cause she is the heroine of the story but she isn't perfect in any sense of the word .  Now Nate well he is still lovable as ever and still as sexy as sin . He is really conflicted in this book , he knows what he wants but there is something that is stopping him . Some characters are back to help them out Mara is back and still as kick butt as she was in book two . We also get to meet a new Reaper who is as deadly as he is sexy . Oh and then there is Chaos , you will love this evil character . Oh and we get to meet Lisa's brother Jerad not sure about him yet he seems like a player in away 

   I sat down and started reading this book and couldn't put it down, I love this authors way of writing .  Her characters are snarky and sassy and you just can't get enough of them. The characters just keep getting better and more complex . This is a fun read and i was giggling through out the whole story. .  There is so much that actually gets revealed in this book that will make you go OMG and then have you saying ahah i can't believe they just did that or wow i didn't see that coming . I will let you know that this book has a big cliff hanger  and i can't wait for book 4 now cause i really want to know what the heck will happen. Like will Alaska survive the onslaught that is coming , will Nate and Lisa finally have more then one romantic night together and will Bronte come out of her teen age snit . I strongly suggest that you read the book in order so you can really get the feel for Lisa and the gang .  Trust me you will laugh so hard you will snort and there are some moments where you will just want wrap each of them up in a blanket and hug them tight. Over all you will laugh yourself silly and fall in love with each and every character . So if you want a fun, fast read check it out

                         MY REVIEW 

  This trilogy starts off with a bang . In book one Unraveling Raven . We meet Raven and Jax, and how did they meet . Raven literally ran into him and spilt coffee all over him . That sends Jax into finding out what this mysterious raven haired beauty is really like .  

Raven is sassy and spunky that Jax really likes but there is so much more to the teacher , she has been through so much heartbreak and loss . She doesn't really trust and really wants to stay independant . Even when Jax bulldozes into her life . Then when the worst happens Jax will move heaven and earth to get her back and then keep her safe . 

  

  In book two DARKNESS INTO DAWN  the story continues when tragedy hits Jax and Raven fight to keep the family safe but with trouble ahead of them will they be able to keep the family safe . This book we get to see more of Jackie and Max and their relationship . Or let me say this if you think Jax and Raven needed their heads slapped . You will be really wanting to bang Jackie and Max's heads together. This book picks up right where book one left off. You see how the couples really lean on each other and the toil it is taking on the characters. You don't know if they are going to survive the onslaught of secrets that are pouring out .  When they think things are finally settling down , we are thrown into another crisis where they will actually have to make a deal with the devil himself to help one of their own . 

   In book three SHATTERED LIES 

   This is an intense book , there is so much going on in this book . Jax and Raven have grown so much . Raven has become a really strong woman who helps Jax out when he is out of control . We find so many answers from Anwen about the past and the man they call dad.  When Micheal jr needs them the most they will do anything to get what he needs, We get to see more of Bella and Micheal sr in this story. We get to see the momma bear come out in Bella to help her son. She will do anything to help her son . There are so many twists and turns in this book that wraps everything up . But will they get their happily ever afters .

  This trilogy I couldn't put down , I read the whole thing in one weekend . This trilogy revolves around one family and what it means to be a family when you are in trouble . What would they do to help you out . The characters are well written and complex . When we first meet Raven , I kind of found her to be a little bit naïve but she was also sassy and spunky , over the three books she really grew up and became a strong woman who would do anything to keep her family safe . Jax on the other hand came on like a bulldozer and you really just kind of wanted to either climb him like a spider monkey or slap him upside the head. Like any good hero he changes and you see him become the man that deserves Ravens love and guidance .  Maxwell is like Jax you either want to climb him or slap him upside the head . Just like Jax he really changes and becomes a man of great morals and values . There is only one character that really kind of bugged me . Jackie she was really kind of wishy washy when we meet her . She tended to bottle everything up and not tell anyone anything . But she did grow out of it and I did start to like her . There are so many characters in this book that are so valuable . They are diverse and complex and fit into the world of Raven and Jax perfectly . 

    This story will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion . I am going to admit that I ugly cried through out this trilogy. Especially in book two and three. My heart broke a few times and the author then repaired it . There were moments I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks . Labour scene with Jax and Raven never laughed so hard in my life . When you read this series I will tell you be prepared to not move for the weekend .  The books will take you on such a journey . You won't want the series to end .  So if you want a great series to read in a weekend this is the series for you , You will love Jax and the gang so much .

 What do you do after you have been blacked balled from your job , you move back home and start slinging drinks in a dive bar .  Cypress Winters has been through a lot in the past year . So when she is offered a one night stand with the man who occupies her mind most of the time . I mean what would you do if Jude walked into your life . A man made for sinning she jumps at the chance for a night of dirty sex . But in the light of day she has to come to the conclusion that she has to stay away from him for so many reasons .  Will they be able to stay away from each other or will the passion of that one night bring them together and will they be able to conquer all the obstacles in their way . 

   Wow these characters kind of blew me away, they are well written and complex . Cypress well she has been through the wringer . After being black balled from her job, she has kind of been beaten down and she is at a cross roads . She lost her job because she stood up for herself against a company . Now she is working hard to keep her mom safe . There are moments you just want to wrap her up and hug her tight and tell her that life will get better . She has a strong will but is also really scared that she just might not make it .  Now Jude well he is is just sex on a stick and i will say he is an alpha , direct, very determined  and so dominate  and smoking hot .  There is also a softer side to him when he is around Cypress  he wants to protect her and keep her safe .  He does have a laid back style that brings you in and keeps you safe . Alone these characters are awesome but holy when they are together they are explosive . Trust me on this one ladies . 

    

   I sat down one evening and couldn't wait to dive into Jude's story . I couldn't wait  to see where the author would take us concerning him . He is just such a big character and you just want to hug him and do naughty things to him . OK I  will rein myself in here.  Yes this is a step brother romance book , and yes there is lots of hot sexy sex and brooding men in this book and a heroine that is torn between the love she has and the obligation she has to her family . The author takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride . There are moments when you just want to slap each of them upside the head and then there are times you just want to hug them and tell them everything will be ok . Oh and then there are the moments where you will blush and fan yourself .  You will love the story and the characters so much .You will get so invested with them . This is the second book in the series but you can read it as a stand alone . So if you want a hot read for a cold snowy night check it out , you will not be disappointed .
