WOW ONLY 17 DAYS AND COUNTING

  Good Sunday all hope all is alright and you aren't running all over the place Christmas shopping . Today I have a Christmas novella for you from Betty Shreffler and her book COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS .

                       MY REVIEW 

   All it is is a bet and only for ten days. Thats the montra that Sophia keeps telling herself as the man of her dreams moves into her spare room . The brother of her boss and a co worker . Jaxson is a walking dream of sex appeal and sweetness . Can they keep their hands , lips and other body parts off each other until christmas or will the boss be right and will Sophia get the love she deserves and needs . 

  The characters in this novella are well written but I just feel like they could of been a little more complex to bring out more of them . Jaxson well he is cocky and he knows it . He really is almost in most people's eyes a playboy . There is a softness around him I kind of wished the author would of brought out a little more . Sophia well to me sometimes she just comes off a little naive but she does have a heart of gold . She could of held off falling for Jaxson. They are good characters and I just want them to be a little more flushed out . 

  This is a fast little read that you can read while making  your Christmas turkey . The author takes us on a fun filled little journey at Christmas . The characters are written well and the story line is a fun read . You will have a few blushing moments where the kindle will start to get hot in your hands . I just felt a little flat and I know its a novella but I just think that it could of been flushed out just a little bit more and maybe had some conflict before they found their happily ever after . Saying that though over all I  truly enjoyed this fast little read and would say if you want a sexy little read for the holiday season check it out

                           MY REVIEW 

    Einar a young Viking warrior is doing the impossible and sailing back to get his homelands back from the Danes that will not leave . After a storm he and his mans are stranded on the aisle of Alba and is struck in the heart by a fierce warrior princess and her tribe of warriors . Maeve is attracted to the brooding Viking but is scared to give her heart away after watching her father die . Will they be able to find each other before its too late and will their love bring them together or push them apart. 

    Ok I am just going to say it right here right now Einar is swoon worthy . He is strong and oh so sexy . He is brooding but underneath he honestly has a heart of gold who will keep those he loves safe .  Maeve she is feisty and wants to avenge her fathers death. She is also hurting deep inside . She wants to love but is scared to . She can fight just as good as any man in her clan . They are such well written characters on their own . Together they are unstoppable . I truly loved these characters and the all the characters in this book . There are a few to mention but you will fall in love one or all the characters . 

   Ok I have read other Viking stories but never liked them as much as I did this story. The characters are well written and complex , you can't help but fall in love with them . The story is complex and you get sucked in from the very first chapter . The author takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat . There are moments where you actually want to smack each of the main characters upside the head cause they are being so stubborn.  Your kindle will also get a little bit hot with some of the scenes . There were moments I think I actually blushed .  This is going to be a good series and can't wait for the second book in the series . So if you want a great book to read this Christmas check out the heathen and warrior princess in Einar . You will not be disappointed .

                          MY REVIEW 

   When you wish upon a star at Christmas can your wish come true . Well thats what can happen if you believe . Savannah an astronomer , is on the brink of finding the that elusive Christmas star. Dylan McCay has to stop her and make her forget the star and her research. He has to protect the origins of that very star . As he finds out there is so much more to the season and will he and Savannah be able to have the simple joys of the season or will they be torn apart . 

    I simply adore the characters in this novella . Dylan is a sweet and sexy guy who is more then just a sexy guy . He is more and ladies you will swoon over Dylan . You will want to help keep him as your own. Savannah is feisty and smart but there is a sadness that has her heart . She really has noone in her life and all she has is her research  on the christmas star . We really see her blossom when after meeting Dylan. They are such good characters but together they are super hot . 

   This novella is a wonderful spin on the Christmas star and making a  Christmas wish on that star. The author takes us on a romantic journey of what can happen on just one night . When two lonely hearts come together  and make that one wish for happiness . This maybe a short novella but the author doesn't hold back on the romance and she does put her characters through a bit of heart ache before the happily ever after . The characters are well written and complex . You will love them and want a Dylan McCay of your own . She also weaves a tale that makes you believe in Christmas wishes and miracles . This is a story to read by the fire with a nice glass of wine . So check it out .

                       MY REVIEW

  Reen is a special soul at sixteen she is selected to assassinate a few in order to save the many . She learned to jump from shadow to shadow and kill without mercy until the day she is suppose to kill the boy she loves . Then when an ancient disease threatens to take lives she resumes her killing . She must track down and kill those responsible . Will she be able to defend her realm without loosing herself in the process . 

   There are so many characters in this book . They are all well written and complex . Reen is a streetwise and sometimes too smart for her own good character . She is an orphan who has lived a hard life in her short life . The other characters are not soft characters either , they are just as street wise as Reen . They will draw you in and you will care for them . You will either want to hug them and tell them everything will be ok or smack them upside the head to smarten them up . You will fall in love with all of them . 

   I will tell you right now this is a long story but it doesn't get boring . The author takes us on an epic rollercoaster ride of emotions . The story bounces from the past and present but it flows so easily you will not get lost at all . The characters are well written and the story line is well thought out . There were a couple of things that made me think what were the real plans to kill the scourge or kill the wardens by other wardens .  Over all I really enjoyed this story and I did get invested in the characters . This would be a great story for adults and older YA teenagers .  If you enjoy fantasy this will be the book for you . Check it out and settle down for a good read this winter season.
