                       MY REVIEW 

    What do you do when you are the son of the best thief in the night guild and want to come out from under her shadow. You along with your best friend decide to help a young woman get back to her father . Koydn along with his best friend Aisha help bring Briana home to Shalandra, the city of the Dead . Where things aren't what they seem . Corruption runs the city and there is a class divide where the wealthy are cruel and the lower caste are living in squalor . They are thrown into the middle of what seems to be a war between the castes . With the help of his best friend Aisha and her warrior fierceness they will jump into the middle of a war that they might not be able to win . 

   This is an epic book with so many characters but the main characters are so very well written and complex . Koydn is a strong young man who is trying to find himself . Sometimes he is a hotheaded young man who wants to do every thing for himself and keep everyone safe . You will love him and want him to do well and keep everyone safe . He is young and wants to get out of his mothers shadow and become his own man. His best friend Aisha is a fierce warrior , she will kick your butt and hand it to you in about three moves . She has been through a lot and has come through the other side . Taken in by the Night Guild , she grew up training to be the best at what she does . You will love her so much , I will say she is my favourite character through out the series . She is strong and also can talk with the dead which we find out all about in this book .  We also meet some new characters Briana is the young woman that Koydn and Aisha help make it home . To me she is a character that you will have to get use to . One moment she is strong and the next she is like a little scared kitten . It took me a bit to get use to her ,but she did grow on me . We also meet Evren and Hailen from the Dark blade series . They are on their way to Shalandra for their own quest .  Also we will meet Issa a young Shalandraite who will blow your mind not going to say any more about her cause you have to read the book to find out more about all the characters . 

    This is a big book and once you start reading you will not and can not put it down . The story will take you on an epic journey into a world of fantasy .  The author takes us on such a roller coaster ride , there are twists and turns that will keep the pages turning way into the night . When is started this book it was like coming home to a cast of characters that you want to know and take care of .  The author builds a world that will amaze you . The caste system he has set up takes you from the poorest of the poor to the richest and shows the difference of what money and power can do .  When you start this book be prepared not to move for most of the day, have a warm blanket and a good cup of tea cause you will not put this book down until you are finished . The story will have you entertained and you will fall in love with the characters . It is the best of both series . So if you liked the Darkblade series and the night guild series , you will love this series I am going to say its stands alone on its own merits but it also has the best of both series . So check it out and you will not be disappointed .

                          MY REVIEW 

    What do you do when you are working for a council that consists of the initials WTF and there is a case which includes a demon and some jazz cabbage . You call your best vampire friend , you crazy grandma , and the rest of your friends and colleagues . Welcome to Essie's world and they are going to try and stop the world from finding out they exist . 

   I am so sad to see these characters go . I love Essie she is such a kick butt sassy woman . She takes no prisoners and will take down anyone that is even thinking about harming anyone of her friends and family.  Her mate Hank is still so sexy and alpha . They make such a great couple .  Granny is back and just as crazy as ever and she has been bitten my the love bug  with the demons father that they are trying to save.  Dwayne well lets just say you will love this vampyre he is so flamboyant and you will totally love him . But when push comes to shove . He will kick some butt and take no prisoners . There are new characters demons father and son . I am not going to try and spell their names cause I might end up summoning them lol . They are so much fun to read and trust me you will laugh at pappys antics around Granny . The dragons are back to help out and we also have some demon hunters psst Essies's parents and godfather . You will laugh out loud when you read these characters and also fall in love with a few of them . 

   This book is such a fun fast read . the author takes us on such a fun journey . The characters are such a hoot to read . It is hot smexy and laugh out loud funny with each turn of the page . I have never laughed so hard as the cheese scene in the Bobs office . you have to read it to find out . You will never look at brie the same way again.  So if you want a great series to read check them out . I suggest that you read the other 4 books so you know what is going on before reading this one .

                      MY REVIEW 

     Welcome to SOMETHING TO INK ABOUT where Adeline works as a tattoo artist by day but when needed she does some very special tattooing . She is a warder a very special witch and very rare . Seeing as most of the warders have been killed by the Magistrate . things were going good until the day Nicholas walks into  the tattoo shop and her life. With her cover story blown out of the water she has two choices run or fight and if she fights can she trust the man that walked into her shop and is a traitor . 

  This is a new set of characters for this author and I must say Adeline is kick butt . She is sassy and no nonsense . She does kind of have a little bit of an anger issue that does come out through out the book . I love that she is a tattoo artist, cause really there aren't many books with female tattoo artists .They are usually men so Adeline is a nice refreshing read 

 Lars is oh lets just say he is all alpha male and Adeline's best friend . He takes care of her and is actually like the angel / devil on her shoulders . He keeps her safe and only wants what is best for her . But I think there is more to him that the author hasn't told us . He is sweet but really has an attitude some times . 

 Now lets talk Nicholas , I seriously don't trust this man at all . He just seems shady to me . He is the nephew to the Magistrate that is after Adeline so really do you know what side he is actually on . He may be tall and good looking but there is something about him that you just can't put your finger on . Is he really good or is he just playing Adeline . You decide . 

    This is a fun filled story that takes us on an adventure . The author has crafted a cool story that has wonderful characters and a really good story line.  There are witches and magic ,intrigue and a little bit of romance. I must say though it did take a bit for the story to get going . I felt like the first few chapters just a little slow . Once you hit chapter 4 it takes off and you are taken on an roller coaster ride . Over all I really liked the story and the characters . There is a cliff hanger at the end and I hope the second book comes out fast cause I really want to know what happens . So if you want a good witch story that has a kick butt tattoo artist this is the book for you .
