  Good Monday morning all, I hope you all had a great weekend and found some good books to read. Today I have for you JENELYN'S JOURNEY by E.E Byrnes.

 An emotional coming-of-age story full of travel and mystery!

Jenelyn's family has followed a strange tradition for the past five generations called the Journey. Listening to the ethereal Spirits they believe will guide them, they travel away from home at eighteen to find the place they truly belong.

Now, it's Jenelyn's turn to leave her home in Los Angeles and travels to Germany, where she hopes to hear from the Spirits to guide her, not knowing how long this quest will be or where it will take her.

Luckily she has help; two of her parent's friends, Gretchen and Laszlo, have offered to host her at their home in the small German town, Wittlich. Jenelyn enjoys their friendly nature, but as time passes, she learns of a dark family secret and an evil legend that haunts the town.

The dark legend and tragic secret create a dangerous mystery, but to solve it, Jenelyn must put her own life at risk, while also discovering from the Spirits the most surprising part of her Journey, and ultimately, her future.

                     MY REVIEW 

  Jenelyn's life is about to change it is time for her to leave her home in LA and head to Germany.  It is time for her to listen to her spirits and find her destiny.  She doesn't know how long she will be gone but with the help of family and and friends Gretchen and Laszio. Where she uncovers a dark family secret and the evil that is haunting her . Will she put her life on the line and discover the part of Jenelyn and her future . 

  The characters in this story are very well written, Jenelyn is a girl who is straight forward and a sweet girl . Just watching her go through the story we see her really grow up into a woman who is figuring out the future and what the darkness is.  Gretchen and Laszio are like the sweet grand parents that just want Jenelyn to find her future and will help her out. Even though they have gone through a horrible heartbreak, that they will not talk about . These characters are so well written and you will want them to be safe and happy. 

 This is one of those books where you start reading and you think you are going in one direction and then bang you are transported to another place and thrown into a mystery. The characters are well written and you will love Jenelyn and her adventures. I really enjoyed this book but i did find that it moved a little slowly in some areas but overall I truly enjoyed this story and its way of combining a dark mystery and the story of a young girl trying to find out who she is and her past . So if you want a story that will have you on the edge of your seat and falling in love with the country and a young girl's coming of age. Check it out

                     MY REVIEW

 Selena and her father are on the run after she was banished from her father's kingdom. For five years she has been taking care of her father because he has lost all memory of her and who he is. When caught by a band of mercenaries she has to put her trust in someone and that one person is Devon the loner of the group . There is something different about him and Selena can't help but be attracted to.  Will she be able to keep herself and her father save or will they be taken back to the people she wanted to be away from. Will she also figure out what or who Devon really is. 

 Selena is such a strong woman who is keeping her father alive. She is strong and intelligent woman who can fight just as hard as any man.  Devon is the quiet one who is more then he seems We also get to meet many new characters that are well written . 

 This is the first book in a new series and the authors take us on a fantasy ride .The characters are well written and complex for a first book in a series. This book seems a little darker then the other books from this team and I really like it . It gives you a really good gothic vibe to the story and there is the chance of seeing a dragon or two. I really enjoyed the start of this series and I can't wait for book two to come out. It is a great read for a weekend . If you want check it out .
