Good Wednesday all , I hope your hump day is going well . Today we are review the third book in Ricky Fleets HELLSPAWN series . Let me introduce you to HELLSPAWN SENTINEL .
BOOK BLURB
A vicious betrayal against Kurt and his family has left the survivors reeling. The cracks that started to appear with the rescue of Debbie and Mike has fractured the group completely. Now the two rival groups must press ahead against all the odds, striving to reach shelter before the winter takes hold.
New friends have joined the fray and brought with them an unsettled score. The dangers of the dead are ever present, but they are now joined by a flying spy in the sky. Always watching, always seeking them to satisfy the psychotic whims of their old superior.
As they flee the burning city feeling bereft and broken, they must gather their energy for the final push towards Arundel and the towering sentinel that could be their only hope. More terror awaits on their journey and it becomes clear the shambling dead may be the least of their worries.
A reckoning between good and evil must be fought in the coming months, and it will be to the death. With their waning humanity, Kurt wonders if they win, will they in turn become the evil they seek to destroy?
MY REVIEW
Book three starts right where book two has left off . Kurt and their rag tag family is heading towards shelter after being attacked by not only zombies but another foe also . They must get out of the city and get to the castle . They are heartbroken from the loss of one of their own . They have to keep going and pull themselves together to survive the newest onslaught . They need to get to where they are going and come to terms with the new reality that evil comes in all shapes and sizes .
What I truly like about all of these characters are they are normal everyday people trying to survive . Kurt is the head of his family and is doing everything in his power to keep his family alive . Including the young boy that was the bully and now is like a son to them . We have a couple of new guys that have come to help the gang out DB and Jonsey , two British military men that have become a great asset to the family . Then we have Mike and Debbie, who have been left behind much to the chagrin of them. They are wanting to get even with Kurt and the group so they follow and try to sabotage the group. Now add a new nemesis to the group a bird that flies high in the sky that is hunting down the groups , led by a crazy military man. What do you get , you get an action packed story .
The author takes us on a roller coaster ride in this book . The story moves at a very fast pace and you will be on the edge of your seat through most of it . I really couldn't put this story down. I read it in a day . Ricky had me wanting to slap a character a few times . This character really needed the slap trust me when you read it you will understand . There are a few surprises in this book also that will make you laugh and also make you cry and boy you will ugly cry during the one scene . I will not tell you anymore about it cause knowing my luck I will spill the beans and over share . I can't wait for the next book in the series . So if you want a great zombie series that has real people that you will fall in love with . Check out the whole HELL SPAWN series . YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

EXCERPT
Daydreamer
The taste of your lips intoxicates my soul,
Your mouth is as delicious as the finest of wine.
Our tongues dance an erotic tango; vying for control.
Dreams of more to come if I could make you mine.
I'd like to peel all your clothes from you,
Allow my eyes to feast on your beautiful form ...
If you could read my dark desires, it's true,
I bet you'd run, or would you give in to the storm
Wish I could feel you tremble at my touch,
Your legs would shake, your toes curled tight.
Nails dug into my flesh, sensations too much,
Climaxes reached, screams silenced by gentle bi
But instead, only your lips shall I kiss,
And dream of a day it shall be like this.

MY REVIEW
I must say I am not a real big poetry lover , its just not my cup of tea . As I started to read the poems and prose in this book . I was amazed I was really loving the poetry. I read it on a snowy day with a cup of tea and a snuggly blanket . The words just flowed off the page . The poems were sweet sexy and erotic . There is also a short story that is sweet and mysterious that will make you feel for the characters .
If Mr. Scott puts out another book of poetry I will be there to buy it . His way with words will leave you breathless and filled with love . You will not be disappointed with this selection of poems and prose . Check it out

Whether you’re searching for greater spiritual depth or simply want to better understand your four-legged partner, this wise and important collection has something for you.
MY REVIEW
To anyone who knows me , knows I am horse rancher and love my job so much. I honestly thought hey I have had horses for 20 years I should know what I am doing . Boy was I wrong , when I started reading this book I was amazed how with my own insecurities that I was passing them on to my horse. I knew about natural horsemanship but Mr. Hamilton takes us on a journey of discovery about ourselves as well as our horses .We realize that we are to the horse and how our horses react to us .
The book is set up in a way that it is easy to read and enjoy. The short stories are easy to read and understand . Each short story is under a heading that will help you realize some of the following things like teaching an learning , mindfulness and so many more techniques The more you read the more you realize that this is more then just a horse book , you can really use some of these techniques in your every day life. It will teach you how to be present in the moment an listen to signals your horse is sending you .
If you have ever been around a horse or have been training horses for years . I think that you should read this book . You will enjoy the stories and get a little something out of it also . If this gentleman ever came anywhere close to where I live I would so go and like to shake his hand . He has written a great book that is concise and timely for everyone . The chapters are short but you will love each one . I laughed to myself a few time thinking yep my horse has done this and that and now I know how to fix it . So if you want a great read that has some great lessons in it . Check out LEAD WITH YOUR HEART . I recommend this book to all my horse friends out there . READ IT GUYS .

GOOD TUESDAY EVERYONE
Good Tuesday all today I am continuing my horror story review, seeing as it is October and Halloween is coming up fast . Today we are going to review an anthology A STITCH OF MADNESS by A.J Brown
BOOK BLURB
A Stitch of Madness: An Anthology
Madness: extremely foolish behavior.
Imprisoned for the murder of his best friend, Johnny Cleary sets out to tell what happened on the day Bobby “Buster” Lennon died, but are the words he writes true or does the deception run deeper.
Madness: the state of being mentally ill, especially severely.
There is something wrong with Irene. Momma’s dead and a ragdoll speaks to her in a voice that is hauntingly familiar. And what about the stitches, the very things that just might hold Irene together?
Madness: a state of frenzied or chaotic activity.
After an odd stranger pays Robert Wallenger a visit, his world begins to unravel and the past comes rushing back, along with a sickly sweet scent.
There is madness in everyone. For most, the madness never surfaces. For others, all it takes is one thing, big or small, for them to spiral out of control.
MY REVIEW
Ok what do you get when you put three stories together that have an urban legend and a man that is being terrified a woman that is being haunted by a doll that seems to possess the spirit of her dead mother and a man that has been visited by the devil . Well you get the anthology a stitch of madness . Each story more scary then the last one.
I really liked this anthology I liked the way the author writes old school horror, he doesn't rely on over the top blood guts and gore to get the readers attention .
In Catherine's well we see a man imprisoned for killing his best friend but did he. The way the author sets up the story you just never know until the end if he actually did the murder or not. As you read you will have your mind made up but then you get totally flipped around and realize that things aren't what they seem .
In story two STITCHES we have a completely different story that almost reads like the tell tale heart . A young girl is abused and used until the day she can't take it anymore . When things come to a head and she does the unthinkable . She is haunted and taunted by her rag doll. I must say this story had me curled up in a ball on the couch under my blanket . I couldn't put this story down. I will say I think this might be the best story in the book .
In story three A SICKLY SWEET SMELL is about what if the devil came to visit you posing as a man who is looking for work. Would you accept his proposal or would you walk away . If you do accept are you ready to accept the consequences as your world falls apart around you . The dialogue between the characters is really good and trust me when I say this I AM NEVER EVER EATING ANOTHER GRAPE EVER AGAIN. Read the book and you will understand what I am talking about .
Over all I really enjoyed these stories I enjoyed more then others . The author takes us on a journey of evil that is twisted and scary. He takes back to old school horror . Patterned after the twilight zone and Edgar Allen Poe . That is the kind of vibe I get when I read these stories .
He has really made some complex characters in a short amount of time . I just wish we could of had just a bit more of Stitches and a Sickly Sweet Smell . If you want a good Halloween read check it out you won't be disappointed .
