                            MY REVIEW
 
 This is a bittersweet read for me, its the end of series and I will miss them all very much . Maggie and Robert are separated yet again. Maggie is at her fathers castle and Robert is off on a secret mission for the king . They miss each other terribly and have their own set of problems to deal with , From unwanted advances from the opposite sex . Will their love survive and will they survive to come back together .
  This is the fourth and last book in the series and I must say that the author has out did herself. She has taken her characters and made them even better .  She has taken it just a step further and made it a little darker and a little more risqué . She sets it to a most difficult time in history and thoroughly entertains us .
  Robert has always been a complex character but in this book we see more sides of him. The sensitive sweet side that dearly loves his wife . The scared side that he shows when he is undercover . I will say this Nina made Robert grow up in this book . Which to me was a great way to bring him around . We also see more sides to Maggie , she has grown up but still does have an innocence about her . That makes reading her so much fun . Some of the best scenes are Maggie and Gemma. they are sweet, loving and hot all at the same time .
  The author weaves the erotica and the historical aspects of the book seamlessly . Ms. Mason may write erotica but she doesn't let that over power the books . She writes about what is going on at the time period with such a reverence . It feels like we are transported back in time as we read . Ms, Mason is a stickler for getting the facts right . She will take you on an epic journey that will make you think and tantalize you all at the same time .
  THE DEVIL WHO WOULD BE KING can be read as a stand alone but I would read the whole series because there are some little things that you might not get if you haven't read the other books . This is a very intense love story set in some very turbulent times in history. So if you want a great hot sexy story set in some turbulent times in history . JLE is a Cajun girl from Louisiana who now resides in Colorado with a husband and a furry menagerie.

While attending college, JLE majored in Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, English Literature and Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Science. Constantly changing interests, she still does not know what she wants to be when she grows up, mainly because she refuses to ever become a stagnant adult. She believes in living life to the absolute fullest.
In JLE's pursuit of an abundant life of adventure, she has spent time as a burlesque performer, a roller derby referee, a bartender in the French Quarter, writing for a music site in New Orleans, and currently is an amateur fitness competitor. She has a penchant for all things that sparkle, and on a completely different note, is a self-professed food whore.

AUTHOR BIO

Jennifer Locklear lives in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. She married her high school sweetheart, Morgan, in 1995. She is the mother of two children, a son and daughter.

Jennifer enjoyed creative writing in adolescence, but set aside her favorite hobby to concentrate on college studies, career and family. In 2010, she rediscovered her passion for writing when her husband recruited her to edit his own stories. They co-authored and published their debut novel, Exposure, in 2014.

Jennifer has been employed in fundraising and development for a non-profit organization since 2000. She has been a contributing reviewer for the Bookish Temptations book blog and is a founding moderator of Argyle Empire, an approved fan site for author Sylvain Reynard. She also enjoys participating in charitable activities, both locally and online.

                               MY REVIEW
   This is a fun read I mean who knew that you could take a world where super naturals are living out in the open and people are dying because of the lethal disease by those same super naturals . What's a girl to do when she is lying in the hospital waiting to die , does she take the cure that will change her life or does she just let go .
     This is a lighter book for Shannon , and I fell in love with it . The characters are so unbelievable and complex . It seems like you have stepped into another world where Super naturals walk among us and iconic Greek mythological creatures can be in the same place. Well this is the book that does that . Shannon has seamlessly weaved them together in a wonderful story
 Alena is one character that you will fall in love with , she is such a wonderful character . She goes from being a subservient wimp on the verge of dying to a kick butt strong woman with some wonderful powers . I am not going to tell you what she has but you will love it . Oh and then there is Remo the hot and I mean melt your panties hot head of the vampires . Oh girls you will need a fan when he is around . He wants Alena and she wants him but keeps denying him as she tries to figure out what and who she is . He is alpha as alpha can be and love teasing Alena . He is an awesome character you will love him and hate him too . The other characters in the book are hilarious , everyone from Zeus to cupid and an ex husband who is shacking up with the dizziest woman alive.  Oh and don't forget Achilles who wants to destroy Alena and everyone else . He is arrogant and I mean arrogant .
   I will say this for Shannon , she has written a fun loving paranormal book that will leave you laughing and a little over heated in some places . The story for me flowed so well and the two types of super naturals and Greek mythology entwined seamlessly . The characters were well written the story took us on an adventure. Shannon has me calling super naturals SUPER DUPERS . When I first read that I laughed so hard I snorted . I can't wait for book two well mainly to see what happens to Remo and Alena and if they get together or not . I am rooting for yes please . So if you want a fun light hearted read that will make you giggle, check out VENOM AND VANILLA   you will not be disappointed .
