TIME FOR BOOK FOUR IN READER ROUNDUP

Good morning peeps, I am on book four for reader roundup. Today it is the second book in the Midlife Monsters. WORRIED BY WEREWOLVES by Margo Bond Collins.

                            BOOK BLURB

More monsters? That’s the last thing I need.

I’m having a hard enough time trying to figure out how to juggle my life working my day-job as a website tester from home, raising my two children, and figuring out how to once again resume dating as I train to become a full-fledged member of the monster-hunting squad headed up by the gorgeous, enigmatic Anson Bentley.

So when I come up against werewolves running amok in my neighborhood big-box store? It’s more than I can deal with alone.

But if I’m going to survive—and more to the point, protect the people I love—I have to keep a handle on the creatures attacking us.

No matter how much they worry me.

                         MY REVIEW
Jenna and the gang are back and this time they are tracking some werewolves running amuck in the local Wal-Mart.  Jenna thought she was getting a hang of being the chosen one and also trying to wrangle the kids and her day job. Well, she was wrong when she gets a call about two werewolves harassing people in the shopping center.  Things are different this time around the alpha has interest in the chosen one and her ex-husband wants to take her to court. Oh, then there is Bentley her boss who she kissed and kissed well. Hope she can get it together before Emma's cheerleading practice and will the PTA carnival survive.

Jenna well she is trying hard to get it all together, thinking she has it under control things go array. I love Jenna she is such a mom with everything she has to do. She is getting stronger and feistier as time goes on. She isn't taking flak from anyone anymore and is fighting mad. Bentley well he is still sexy and all alpha. We get to see him in action and in action as he puts on the moves on Jenna.  I truly love these characters and the fact that they are more my age, and they can kick some butt and still get it on.

This is the second book in the series, and I think it was such a much more fun read. The characters are becoming more and more complex and getting more of a story line. The author really has a way of writing her characters with a funny side. I laughed all the way through this book there were a few groans too but they were good groans. I can't wait to see who they come against in the next book. These would be great reads while taking a break from all the Christmas hustle and bustle.

                      MY REVIEW
Elora Roberts is a renown psychic and a hidden past. When she meets actor director Brennen Wentworth, she is honored to do his reading and become friends with him. They hit if off right away but when an ex comes back to haunt her, they decide to try and figure everything out and Elora needs to help get her past unlocked before it is too late.
Elora is a sweet woman who has this remarkable gift to talk to the dead and help people deal with their deep hidden pain. But there is a hidden pain in her past that is also haunting her. She is a gentle woman who really doesn't understand the real power she has. Brennen is almost to good to be true, he is an actor and a director who actually is a sweet, honest man who has a good heart and a sweet soul. They seem to have a chemistry that you can see instantly. They are well written and have a chance to grow into really complex characters.
This a short fast read that I sat down and read in an evening. This is a new author to me, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well written they are. They are such fun set of characters to read, and you will love the instant chemistry that they have with each other. I also love that this story is based in Canada using the small towns around Toronto as a backdrop. I am going to start book two right away need to find out what happens. A great set of books for your winter reading

BOOK 2 IN READER ROUNDUP

Good morning peeps we are on book two of reader roundup, today's book is from an author that I truly enjoy. EMMA AND THE SILVERBELL FAIRIES by Mathew Cox.

                              BOOK BLURB

A druid’s work is never done… even if she’s ten years old.

With the Silk Thieves no longer a threat to Widowswood, Emma enjoys the solace of home and the peaceful routine of her chores. She is happy to be with her family, but still hasn’t quite forgiven herself for making them worry about her.

One afternoon, Neema, the Faerie she freed from the wizard’s lantern, returns seeking her help. Her people are dying, and she’s convinced Emma can save them, and do it in only a few minutes.

The plea proves hard to resist, and Emma soon discovers cursed animals are attacking the faeries. Even though some Silverbells have perished, they are hesitant to kill the creatures. Their queen hopes Emma can find a way to save both animals and faeries alike.

Far from her family in a strange magical forest, Emma feels too small for the task set before her, but cannot abandon the faeries to their fate—even if it means she may never find her way home.

                       MY REVIEW
Emma is a sweet little druid who finally gets to spend some time at home with her family. Emma is still trying to forgive herself for making her parents worry over her time fighting the silk thieves. They are living peacefully until the day Neema finds Emma and begs for her help. Her family is dying along with the animals of the forest. Emma is once again on an adventure in the magical forest even though she feels small and doesn't know if she can help. With the help of her fairy friends, she will find her way home again.
Emma is such a sweet girl. she is pure of heart and very determined. Emma will help out where and when ever she can. Her mother is a sweet woman who is the potion maker and healer of the town and her grandmother the mysterious Nan. They are trying to teach Emma all that she needs to know to help out the fairies. They are so important to Emma, and she loves them so very much. Neema is a sweet fairy who Emma saved from the wizards and is Emma's best friends. There are so many characters throughout this book that help the young girl out. These characters are well written and complex you truly feel like you are with them throughout the story.
This is one of those stories that once you start reading you get sucked into and can't put down.  The author really paints a wonderful story full of magic and some mayhem which he drops some amazing characters into. This is a great book for your preteen child or even middle school fantasy lovers. I truly enjoyed the story and felt like I was with Emma and friends trying to get out of fairy land. This series will be great for any reader you have on your Christmas list check it out
