MY REVIEW
When the people you love start to come back to life, you start to wonder what the heck is going on . That is what is happening in a small town in rural Wisconsin. Officer Dana Cypress has to deal with the backlash that is going on . Will they small town survive the onslaught is about to hit them straight on
The characters in this novel are well written and complex . Officer Dana Cypress is one of the main characters and she is tough and sassy . She wants to figure out how these people are coming back to life . But the best characters in the book are the Revivers the ones that have come back to life . Martha , Dana's sister, is one of those people . She may look ok on the outside but there is a darkness about her and Dana has to figure out who murdered her on top of everything else .
I was excited to get this book , I really love graphic novels and this one was on my bucket list to read. I really like that is based in Wisconsin and the author uses actual places in the state . The characters are well written and complex . You will love them . The drawings are so sweet . Each panel looks old school and the there are some dark components to the story . Tim Seeley writes a wonderful story that is part murder mystery , part horror and part drama . There are multi layers to this story and you can follow it through each of the threads . Now lets talk illustrations . Mike Norton is amazing at taking each character in the story and making them unique in their own way . He truly brings the story to life in each panel . I recomend this book to anyone who loves a good story and great illustrations to go with the story . I would add it to my summer reading challenge .
