HAPPY THANKSGIVING

  Good morning my peeps. well it is Thanksgiving weekend here on the farm. Its been busy cooking and baking oh and eating. I did have time to actually sit down and read the last book in the Gwen's Ghosts series  WAKE THE DEAD by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain,

 The circus has come to Morley.

And, along with it, my newest mystery to solve…

While in the middle of a performance, the ringmaster, Argos the Magnificent, dies a very mysterious death involving a cannon stunt gone wrong.

Now, it’s up to me, my ghostly pal, Petra, and a slew of circus ghosts to try to find out whodunit.

It doesn’t help that Inspector Lean is on the case and questioning my every inclination as he always does.

And it also doesn’t help my new relationship with Leo that Bastian Chambon seems to be everywhere I am.

And what’s more? I find myself enjoying Bastian’s company.

Between circus murders, ghosts and two determined men, I can’t seem to get a break.

                  MY REVIEW

  

    Gwen finally is thinking that she just might have things under control. She is dating a sweet guy , Leo and everything is going great until they have a date to go to the circus. The ringmaster and magician is murdered in a freak cannon mishap. Together with Petra, Gwen is thrust into another mystery.  Along with Bastian the man who wants her as his own and trying not to step on Inspector Leon's toes . Gwen is going to join the circus and figure out who killed the ringmaster and why they killed him. 

  Gwen and the gang are back and honestly funnier then ever . When you think she has it all together, things just seem to get worse and worse for poor Gwen. She finally found the man she wants to spend time with and then is thrown into a mystery with the man who flirts with her and wants to basically conquer her . She is feistier and more determined to get things solved for everyone involved. Leo is still the sweetest guy in the world, he truly likes Gwen and wants to keep her safe  Bastian well he is still a cad who just wants to have a good time. He really tries to come between Leo and Gwen thinking that he is better then the blacksmith.  Each character as grown and become like friends that you can't wait to see again. 

 This is the 6th and final book in the series . it is a fun read with lots of action and some romance mixed in. I am kind of sad to see this book be the last installment honestly I did try and read it slowly but alas it was too much fun and I couldn't put it down. The characters are well written and you will fall for them .  There is mystery. intrigue and romance all mixed in for a wonderful read . So if you want a fun series for this spooky season check it out . You will love it I guarantee it .

After a witch named Indigo walked into my occult shop and literally blew up, her soul affixed itself to mine, and now I’m basically possessed.

To make matters worse? Whoever was responsible for Indigo going ‘boom’ knows she’s not exactly dead and gone.

Which means he’s now after me.

As if I didn’t have enough on my plate with a divorce that’s been dragging out for the last three years, and a struggling business.

Now, I’m just trying to stay alive.

Good thing my realtor, the very sexy Angelo Stendham, is looking out for me because I know nothing about this world of supernatural monsters of which I’m now a member.

                  MY REVIEW 

   Welcome back to the hollow where the magical community is tight knit and for Lydia she was ready for a brand new start where noone knew her and where she might get her book store up and running again. But like with everything in life things don't always go as planned . Lydian is a gypsy and well honestly she also has a witch living in her body with her and an ex that is driving her crazy and now she is trying to stay alive . Angelo is the one thing that is there to help her out and when she is taken and almost sold at a supernatural black market auction. Things won't be the same when the gang from Haven Hollow come to the rescue.  

 Well when you think you couldn't have a new read in a series poof we get a new book with new characters to add to the universe .  In this book we get to meet Lydia and Indigo a gypsy and a witch that are trapped together in Lydia's body after something horrific happens . Lydia is well she is a wall flower who seems to be having the worse time of her life. She doesn't really know what or who she is but when push comes to shove she is a fighter. Angelo is back and yes he is still as cocky as ever but we actually get to see a different side to him. A side that isn't all for show and isn't trying to bed every woman in town, he is an incubus so it is easy for him . Fifi and the gang are back to help find Lydia and save her. It is great to see the characters we love become more complex you just fall for them even more and Angelo is fast becoming one of those characters that you will fall in love with. 

  This is one of those reads that you can sit down and read in an afternoon. The characters are well loved its like going back home to greet them all. Haven Hollow is like one of those small towns that you just drive through and fall in love with. Even with the supernatural beings that are living there . The authors are always finding ways to expand the universe but always keeping it centered on the Hollow and its residents . The characters are well written and you see them evolve and grow through each story that is told . Reading each book is like going home to see friends and family. If you want a fun read check out this series , you will have a fun time . Great for your fall reading list

 Something is up with Lorcan.

And I’m fairly sure I’m not just imagining things—he’s been distracted, working later than usual, appears exhausted, and was that vanilla perfume I smelled on him?

Regardless of what’s going on with the undead nuisance, I’ve got my own problems to deal with.

Namely, I’ve been pinpointed as the main suspect in a murder!

I know—as if I have the time or the interest to kill someone.

Ridiculous

Anyway, before this situation gets any worse, I need to prove my innocence, stat.

                    MY REVIEW 

   Welcome back to Haven Hollow, Wanda is not having a good week . First she is working on a wedding night set for a young werewolf who really doesn't seem to want to get married. Then Lorcan is acting really weird even for him. When Wanda becomes a suspect in a murder she will have to go it alone to find out who the actual murderer is. Will she be able to prove her innocence an better yet will she find out what Lorcan is up to. 

   This is a fun read, it is nice to see Wanda actually shaken and worried.  She is always so put together and kind of cocky when it comes to anything witchy. She is still sure of herself but you do get to see that facade crack just a little and she does admit to herself that she could be in big trouble. She becomes more vulnerable in this story. Lorcan well he is being run ragged trying to keep Wanda safe. He seems more ravaged this time around he doesn't seem to be the suave debonair man that he usually is. It is nice to see them with more feeling and showing that they are more then just the haughty coven head and the suave vampire. 

   Ok this was such a fun read, the authors really kind of put everyone through the wringer .  The characters are like old friends and you really want them to be ok while they are going through what ever the authors have in mind. I love this series it is always like coming home when you come back to Haven Hollow. This is a fun book that I really couldn't put down . I laughed so hard through out . So if you want a great fun series check out the Haven Hollow series

  Good morning my peeps. hope your weekend was great and you start this week off with a bang . Today I have for you FASHIONABLY FIERCE  book eighteen in the Hot Damn series by Robyn Peterman

 The twenty-first century is quite the horrifying eye-opener for a Vampyre warrior whose been in a magical coma for a thousand years.

The Vampyre in question would be me. I’m so damned confused by the modern world, and getting electrocuted for being misogynistic — whatever that means — is getting old.

It’s insanity. Apparently, there’s a species called Karens running in the wild. The Tube of You and the Book of the Faces are alarming. From what I understand, the Karens gather there. I much prefer homing pigeons to the small rectangular metal box the undead of today seem to favor. Although, I am enamored with the horseless metal chariots.

The good old days of skin peeling and ripping out entrails are over. So be it. I’ll fit in. Getting set aflame sucks.

Plus, there’s a beautiful blonde who’s in my every waking thought. She might not know it yet, but we’re destined to be. Although, every time I cop a feel, I get my nards kneed up into my esophagus. My wooing skills might be a little rusty…

Armed with the magic word, please, and the challenge of using my words instead of my sword, I shall succeed.

I’m fierce.

I’m fabulous.

And I’m in love.

                     MY REVIEW

  Astrid and the gang are back and funnier then ever . When a thousand year old vampyre is woken up he is not liking the 21 century. Rhys isn't understanding how the world is working and he is tired of getting  electrocuted because of his not wanting to adapt . But Juliet is also trying to redeem herself after trying to kill Astrid and everyone else. She and Rhys are off on an adventure set out by Mother Nature to find an mystical object.  Together they will work to find the objects and maybe fall in love along the way . 

  Omg these characters are crazy, Rhys is having such a hard time in the new world, he tries so hard but he is tired of getting electrocuted. He is a sweet guy but still is a warrior and he wants to peel skin to end an argument.   He can be uncouth but that just adds to his charm. Juliet well she was I am going to say a little crazy. She tried to kill Astrid and her family but she is trying to do amends to Astrid but its slow. She may come off as a bad woman but inside she is a hurt little girl that just wants to be loved and to love. When they come together they are a force to be reckoned with,   Martha and Jane are also back and funnier then ever . Mother Nature is hilarious also. I love these characters so much they are well written and complex. 

  This another one of the authors books that should come with a warning label. Don't drink anything while reading or you could end up choking because of laughing so hard. This is a fun read that had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face a few times . The characters are fun and the story is so out there all you can do is laugh. I mean who would not laugh at a fowl mouthed vampyre who gets set on firer and electrocuted just for opening his mouth. So if you want a good series to read check out the Hot Damned series . Add it to your fall reading list .
