Minstrels' Gambit is Bulow Morgan's second novel. Sprung from the setting of her first novel Legend Destiny. This epic adventure attests to her story telling ability. The reader will be hooked from the very beginning of this gorgeous adventure.

   Who doesn't love a fantasy adventure . I know I can get lost in them on a very rainy day. Let me introduce you to Saeede and her partner Andreas . They have stopped in Behlanna, They were just going to stay a couple of days . Maybe play some tunes and make a bit of money. Then move again to a better city. Well as they are there they get involved in a murder mystery. The two musicians are the prime suspects in this murder. They realize that there is an ancient riddle right smack dab in the middle of the mess that they are in. So they have to solve the riddles that are in wrapped up in four musical scores. As they fight and travel to find the clues that will help them figure out the riddle . They find out what they can do together, how deep their love and friendship actually is. Also how unwavering their skills are when it comes to music, magic. and the sword.

  Nance took us on a grand adventure in this book. The people and places that Andreas and Saeede go to are both magical and some are even scary . The seventh circle of hell comes into play also. As a reader when I started reading I could not put it down. It seemed that the pages turned themselves as I read. The twists and turns will make you go hmmmm and oh my goodness. I didn't expect that to happen .  This is a creative well written fantasy book /

 The characters are written with love. Nance took a lot of care to create such complex and layered characters. Saeede and Andreas are more then just traveling minstrels they are best friends and I honestly think that Andreas is in love with Saeede. Just my feeling. They basically go through hell and back working on the clues and they work very well together. They compliment each other well. They face dragons, dwarfs and beasts together. The whole cast of characters are really well written .

  This is a great book that will keep you reading . If you are looking for a creatively well written fantasy book please check out this book . I read it in two days. So please check it out

Hey all good Sunday morning to all of you. Hope you are having a great weekend. I have found a delightful book, that isn't all brooding, dominant. alpha male . I am actually kind a getting tired of those men. I want a guy that is just as nervous and shy when it comes to the woman he wants . He can be a guy with Alpha tendencies in taking care of his woman, but also a tender sweet guy. That gets all hot and bothered when she flirts him. The way he looks like her , like she hung the moon and the stars for just her.
  Well I think I found that book . THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE by Lori Meckley

MY REVIEW

 

  Let me introduce you to BUTTERFLY HOUSE. A member only club where men can go and relax and watch some beautiful women erotically take their clothes off. Ava Wild is working there for some very good reasons. She needs the money for school and to help pay for medical bills. She isn't looking for a sugar daddy to help her, or any man at all . Until Nolan Walker walked into the club with a business partner of his, Sam.

Nolan couldn't take his eyes of the beautiful redhead that sang and stripped for the customers.

  Nolan has hidden from the world since his break up . He was torn to shreds and doesn't trust to much until that night in the BUTTERFLY HOUSE where he met Lotus aka Ava . They are both scared but so want to be with each other. Will they find their way to each other and will Ava tell Nolan about baby Miles .

   I was truly happy when I started this book , there was no obnoxious alpha male in the book . Just a man who was hurt and is trying to take a chance and start again. With a beautiful girl, who is more then just an exotic dancer.  The characters are so well written that you will fall in love with all of them, even baby Miles. You want to cheer them on and hope and pray that they don't screw everything up. They are so humble and so well meaning. The way Lori wrote them . you think that he could be your boyfriend. Ava didn't need a knight in shining armor. But when it comes down to it and when her life is in danger, he proves that he can handle anything that is thrown his way.

     This book is written in the first person and there are some people that don't like that , but I did . This book was meant to be written in the first person. Lori did a great job with all three points of view. She even did a great job in writing Angel in the first person . Not going to tell you anymore about Angel cause then I will be giving up the whole story. You need to read the story to find out . LOL. Even being written in the first person the flow of the story was great. It was a page turner I read it in an evening, couldn't put it down.

    You are probably wondering why I picked this book , well honestly ladies . I was getting pretty tired of the brooding alpha male that just takes and takes.  I guess I needed a little Nolan in my life.  A guy that is humble and in love with a woman that is more then her job

So if you want a sweet story that does have sex, You need to check out THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE . You won't be disappointed I promise you . A great summer read for the pool

MY REVIEW
   Want to meet Sabrina Thompson. the editor of Skin Deep, and her wildly popular column NATURAL BEAUTY SECRETS. Well she just got the handed the assignment of her life. She has to take over LOVE AND SEX COLUMN or loose her job. She is dumbfounded what does a 24 yr old virgin know about sex and or love. Well enter Trent/ Travis Wellington. Travis is the new helm of the magazine and also in rehab .  So Trent steps in to help his brother out and keep his secret. When he realizes that the little editor sitting in front of him is the same girl that he was warned to stay away from , by his sister. Sabrina is still getting under his skin. He can't get her out of his mind and is having a hard time not being himself . It is getting tougher because Sabrina brings out the greatness in him .
  But watch out for a woman deceived , once Sabrina finds out Trent was lying to her. She plots revenge and getting even is going to be a whole lot of fun.
   I have never giggled so much while reading this book. From the very first scene in the book when Sabrina is trying to plump her lips and all that happened was her lips burning off. I nearly fell off the couch reading that scene. Cause we all know we have been there at some point in our lives.  Watching her fumble through the research for her new column was quite funny, She reminded me of the too pure Sandy in Grease. She got easily embarrassed and got riled very easily by Trent .
  Trent has been in lust with Sabrina since he met her at a family picnic. He made a fool out of himself for her. But stayed away cause his sister told him to. So when he had the opportunity work with her . He did. The whole twin thing got a bit confusing at the beginning. Then I figured it all out and then it went fast. The characters started to build in their complexity as the story continued. They grew up as well, which I really liked . I will tell you I felt a Grease vibe to this book , the good girl the bad boy and what kind of trouble they can get into. Then good girl goes bad . And all hell breaks loose .
 This is a fast paced, light read. You could probably read it in an afternoon at the pool. The characters are great and the story line is believable and there some great funny scenes. It is a page turner, I was up all night reading . Once I started I couldn't put it down. It is not a long novel but it is a great read. You will giggle and outright laugh at Sabrina and Trent, What she does to get him back.  So if you want to read a nice light sweet romance. Check it out and this should be on everyone's summer reading list.
