Good afternoon peeps well I have book 3 done in the reader round up and want you all to know about it. It is another new to me author and it is actually a historical romance. ROSEMARY AND ANTONIO by Marie Fostino.
BOOK BLURB
Rosemary and Antonio are people who live on the other side of the tracks. The other side of personal morals; the other side of the universe in the 1920s of America. This story will melt your heart and touch your soul but also make you happy!
It's 1929, Prohibition in Chicago. Antonio and Rosemary meet by accident in a coffee shop. Rosemary believes it was by accident. She finds out much later it wasn't. Love grows during another civil war between the north and south- Northern Chicago and George 'Bugs' Moran and Southern Chicago and Al Capone. While Rosemary and Antonio's love grows deeper, the hatred between Bugs and Capone grew more violent. Antonio was determined to provide a future for himself and his lovely Rosemary. MY REVIEW
Rosemary is a young woman on the step of becoming a teacher in 1920's Chicago. She meets Antonio a young mechanic at a coffee shop. They are basically are on the different sides of the mob wars that are starting. As their love grows the hatred between Al Capone and Bugsy Malone intensify. Rosemary finds out that the chance meeting might not of been an accident. They wanted to go away to Paris but the violence takes one of them . They won't survive the fall out.
This is a story that takes young love and the Chicago gang wars and blends them pretty well . Rosemary is a young woman who is deciding what she wants in her life. She doesn't just want to be a mother and a wife like her mother. She wants to become a teacher. She is fearless in ways and naive in others. She wants the romance and the big love like her parents . But it doesn't come like their parents. Antonio is a mechanic and a sweet talker. He takes a liking to Rosemary but you kind of feel there is something that he could be hiding from everyone. He can charm everyone and sweep Rosemary off her feet. We also get to meet Al and Bugsy and how their war kept coming . They are good characters and the stories are woven together quite well .
Who knew that I needed a historical romance set in the 1920s but I did. This is one of those stories that you will get sucked into the romance and the Chicago gang fights that were going on. Its a fast read and you care about the characters . So if you like historical romance check it out.
