MY REVIEWS
This story starts with us meeting Rose at the emergency waiting room. Waiting to see if her husband will survive his heart attack. We watch her process her past and the present of life with her husband . All the good and the bad that they went through. The struggles were real and the good times were great but the bad times are what really made them think of what life would be like if one of them left. We watch them grow up .
This is a memoir of a sorts and we get to know Rose through her thoughts and feelings of what life was like back in the day. She is one strong woman but there is also a silence that is wrought with fears of what could happen if they went their separate ways. The trials and the loneliness that comes through is so heart wrenching you just want to hug her and tell her things will be ok.
This is a story that will have you cheering for Rose and also wanting to shake her. Everyone has that one moment that will define them for the rest of their lives and coming to terms with what has happened in the past that shaped them into the person they are now . This author weaves a story of love , betrayal and redemption in a way that will have you shedding a tear for the main characters . This would be a good rainy day read that gives you a glimpse of what love can do.
