MY REVIEW
Mandy has had a hard life, her mother was a drunk that wasn't there for her or her two younger children. She has spent her life protecting Missy and Davey. Until the day her mother disappears and Mandy steps up and does everything to keep the kids together . Through trials and a separation Mandy steps up with the help of Missy and Davey's dad and neighbours . They rally around to help them out and maybe fall in love while keeping the kids safe.
Mandy has been through so much in her young life. She has a strength that she hides from most people but when push comes to shove she steps up and starts figuring things out that her mom didn't do. She is scared but ready to fight for the kids . Jimmy is like a breathe of fresh air to Mandy. He is there for the kids and for her when she needs it. He loves the kids with his whole heart and starts to have feelings for Mandy also but things are keeping them apart. Each character is well crafted , complex and you really start to care about them
This is a story of what love does when it is given freely and the courage to step out and help those around you while they are helping you through the worst times of your life . The author wrote an emotional story that will have you tearing up through out. We all know a person that needs a little helping hand to just get a hand up. Just in time for summer nights curled up with a great book
