But it's an ancient, planetary magic that binds Orin to Mette, and Orin's dandelions may be their only chance to survive the separation.
MY REVIEW
Orin is barely scraping by, selling dandelion latex at a market . Who is having nightmares of a fancy ghost woman, Mette off . When she tells him she wants to meet him in real life his life is turned upside down and his dreams are more then his real life . So off on an adventure with his best friend Blathnaid to discover the truth behind the xir and the other worldly connection and is determined to free the xir mind and maybe finally have a good nights sleep and maybe be able to keep things down. Also it might be the only way to survive the separation of them .
Orin is a sweet guy who is just trying to get ahead in his life . He is sharing his mind with Mette and she takes up a lot of his mind . He is a sweet young man who is stronger then he comes off as . His best friend Blathnaid is a fun guy who is jolly and likes his life . Mette is sweet but there is something more to her. She is tough and along with the guys she is ready to free herself . Each of these characters is fun to read and they are complex for a novella.
This is one of those books where you have sci fi, romance and has LGBT and non binary aspects through out . The main characters are diverse and you will like them . The author does paint a great picture of what it is like on the other planet . There are also dragons mentioned . This is one of those books that was suppose to be part of an anthology but the author expanded it and we got a wonderful novella that will wanting more . So if you want to check out a good story and add it to your summer reading list check it out .

BOOK BLURB
Magic, Mischief & Kilts!
Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.
For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.
MY REVIEW
Kenneth has eyes for only one person in his life . He is an warlock and also a single father . When he finds out his little girl is more powerful then his whole family . He has to fight the forces that just want to harness his daughters powers . It has taken his life to keep her safe until the day Andrea appears in his life . He can't help but not trust her there is something about her that puts him a little on edge . She has been running for the past two years . When she finds herself in the house where magick is strong and the little girl doesn't want her to leave . She is confused should she doesn't know if she should stay or go but the longing is to stay. Will she be able to keep everyone safe especially the sexy man in the kilt that sets her heart beating a little faster .
It took us a bit to finally meet Kenneth but wow when we did we were not disappointed. Kenneth well he is immortal and a powerful warlock but he is also sexy as sin and when you meet him you want to well hug him . Andrea she is a mystery she has been hiding for so long and when we meet her she is running . She is strong and feisty and when you put her together with Kenneth there are sparks and hilarity that ensue . They are such strong fun characters that are well written and complex .
This is the seventh book in the series and it doesn't let you down . It is a fun filled action packed book . The characters are well written and complex and you will love them . I love these characters and when you sit down to read them you will love them too . I did find it just a little hard to get into the book at the beginning but once i got through the first couple of chapters I was hooked . I can't wait to see where these characters go in the future . So if you want a book with some hot men in kilts and the magic they can do check out the series .

Books to curl up with: GOOD MONDAY MORNING
GOOD MONDAY MORNING
Good morning my peeps , hope your weekend was good and you stayed cool and safe from all storms . Today I have a brand new series from a couple of my favourite authors . Lets dive into THE GIRL WHO JOINED THE CIRCUS (The Dark Circus trilogy book one ) by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain.
BOOK BLURB
Cirque du Noir… the circus of the night, where the line between the real and the imagined is a thin one.
It’s 1930, I’m nineteen years old, and I have high hopes of joining the circus with my best friend, Amelia.
But when I find myself alone at the train station with no sign of Amelia, I have no choice but to find my own way to the Cirque du Noir, all the while figuring Amelia must have already arrived.
As I reach the circus grounds, I’m summarily greeted by the alluring owner of the circus and ringmaster, Laurent, who tells me he’s been awaiting my arrival.
And yet there’s still no sign of Amelia…
I soon learn she’s had to rush back home to tend to a family emergency, which means I’m now all alone as I embark on the next chapter of my life.
While Laurent welcomes me to his circus wholeheartedly, something about him feels off—though I can’t put my finger on just what. Perhaps the strange feeling is owing to the fact that I feel like I know him—that I’ve known him my whole life, and yet, I’ve never laid eyes on him before.
Or maybe it’s the circus itself—the more time I spend here, the stranger things get—like seeing people whose faces I can’t make out, or an old gypsy woman I’m reasonably convinced is a ghost, or the caravan parked on the far side of the circus which is off-limits. Yet, I can’t help but feel an unearthly call to the place.
Or maybe all the angst I’m feeling is owing to one man: Rex, the caretaker, and manager of Cirque du Noir.
For as charismatic and charming as Laurent is, Rex is the opposite. Dour, rude, and quick to anger, it’s clear Rex not only doesn’t want me here but also harbors a grudge against me though I don’t know why.
Even though I have the same sense of familiarity with Rex that I do with Laurent, with his surly attitude, Rex makes me nothing but nervous.
And yet I can’t deny that I’m drawn to him—that he makes me feel a passion the likes of which I’ve never experienced before. Strangely, I feel a similar draw to Laurent, and I’m convinced they feel it too.
Between searching for answers to the myriad of questions regarding the Cirque du Noir, Laurent, and Rex, I wonder if perhaps I’ve made a colossal mistake in joining the circus…
MY REVIEW
Welcome to small town America in the 1930's where Bindi and her best friend Amelia decide to run away and join the circus but not just any circus but the Cirque du Noir . When she arrives she is told that her best friend had to go home for a family emergency . She was to audition anyway . She meets Laurent they ring master and owner of the circus . There is something about him that she can't put her finger on. There is a sense of familiarity but she just can't remember how she knows him , then there is Rex who makes her feel a passion that she has never felt before and then there is also the familiarity that she just can't put her finger on. Trying to figure out what is the feelings she has for both men she is also trying to figure out the mysteries behind the circus and if joining them was a big mistake
This is one of those books that have such a wide range of characters from various backgrounds in this book . We have the bearded woman to a snake charmer . The main character Bindi is a young woman who wants to better life, she is a sweet girl who is very inquisitive. She has a talent for contortion but there is something more about her that we get a sense through out the book. Laurent is well he has an air about him but there is something sinister about him deep down . You really can't trust him he gives off such a weird vibe . Rex well he is the strong silent type of guy who comes of gruff but underneath he is the guy that would be there when you need him . All the characters are well written and complex .
This is one of those books that really gets under your skin . The characters alone are worth reading the book for . The authors paint a picture of 1930s America and what it was like to be there . This is a mystery with a little bit of romance involved and it also feels paranormal in so many ways . This is an unique story that will have you flipping the pages . So if you want a story that will have you wondering what the heck is going on . Check out the first book in a brand new series . You will not be disappointed a great book for the end of your summer reading list

Books to curl up with: G0OD AFTERNOONALL
G0OD AFTERNOONALL
Good afternoon peeps , I really hope that you are all staying cool and reading some good summer books . Today I have for you thriller by a young author. Lets check out 1,00 COLONIAL FARM ROAD by Jeff Zimmerman.
BOOK BLURB
Esther Ahava Esperanza is an ex-Israeli Defense Force infantrywoman with a PTSD fueled past. Working as a ‘fixer’ for Langley, Virginia, she’s assigned with a job that is far different from all the other ones she’s done before. After assassinating an Aryan Brotherhood convict and a drug addicted prostitute, Esther is tasked with kidnapping the couple’s child and taking him under her own wing. Raising her adopted son to be a future contract killer for the CIA, Esther quickly learns that being a mother is harder than being a hitwoman. And it is true what a plethora of people say... love really can be tough!
MY REVIEW
Esther Esperanza is an ex military who was part of the Israeli Defense force and she is suffering from PTSD . She is a fixer and when she is tasked with an unusual job she is tasked with taking their young son in and taking care of him . She doesn't know what is harder being an assassin for the CIA or raising a son . She quickly learns that having a son is harder then being an assassin .
When you start a book and instantly connect with the main character is a good thing . Esther is one of those characters that you read and go wow . She is a kick butt woman but underneath all her training she is a woman and a mother who worries all the time if this will be the last time she sees her son . There are so many complex characters in this story . They are complex and you will love and hate them at the same time .
I have been following this young author for awhile . This is the book that I really enjoyed , the author has grown and this book kept me entertained . The characters were well written and you really start care for the main character . The book moves at a fast pace and there is a lot of action through out the book . It may be thriller in nature there is an under tone of what a mother would do to keep her son safe and loved . The author has really grown and it shows in his writing style . So if you want a kick butt heroine with a past that will have you on the edge of your seat through out the book . So check it out a great book for your summer reading list .

Books to curl up with: WELCOME TO THURSDAY
WELCOME TO THURSDAY
Good morning peeps , hope you are staying cool this week and finding lots of good summer reads . Today I have book 2 in the Gates of the Underworld . RELICS OF RUIN by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain
BOOK BLURB
All I want to do is get the hell out of Dodge…
In this case, ‘Dodge’ is the First Gate of the Underworld, which is like the sister city to Level One, Hell.
But it’s not like I can leave anytime soon—not when Adonis, my only friend (who’s also super hot), just got dude-napped by the absolute worst queen in the history of queens.
No, I mean it. Azrhea puts Bloody Mary to shame…
Anyhoo, even when I’m given the chance to escape and head to the Second Gate of the Underworld, I don’t take it.
Not only do I want to rescue Adonis from the clutches of She-Bitch, but I also sort of, kind of made a promise to Ereshkigal, the original ruler of the First Gate, that I’d help her reclaim her kingdom.
The only problem is Azhrea is proving really freaking difficult to kill.
And when Hades, the God of the Underworld, decides to make an entrance, I really don’t know what to think.
Hades is the ultimate definition of ‘man-perve,’ but he also seems to strangely want to help me. At least, I think he wants to help me…
He warns me that Rurik, the keeper of the Second Gate, is going to be even tougher to vanquish than Azhrea. And getting rid of Azhrea is like trying to get rid of ants.
But the biggest takeaway from my meeting with Hades? I must beware of Ares, the God of War, who occupies the Fifth Gate of the Underworld.
Right. Like I didn’t already know that.
Ares is currently keeping my sister’s soul hostage as he waits for me to make my way through the other four gates, so he can have the honor of killing me and starting a war with Olympus.
I’m really hoping I won’t give him that satisfaction…

MY REVIEW
Gina is heading to a fun weekend with her girls at a book convention, where there will be books , panels and hot cover models . As they get ther Gina wasn't ready to run into her best friend who now looks like a god and the murder that just happened. When she meets Austin her world is turned upside down but in a good way . The murders have her baffled after she finds the body . Will they be able to find the killer and rekindle what they once had . Or will they be be at the mercy of a second murder . Stick around and see what happens in Peoria .
Ok this book is filled with fun loving characters that honestly have some of the same characteristics as some romance authors i know . Gina is a fun loving character and she just wants to have fun . The rest of the Boba Book club are the funniest ladies ever .From the fanatic fan who will do anything for a basket to have dinner with her favourite author to the others who drive Gina crazy and do a little well lets say there is just a lot of misunderstandings when it comes to the bedroom These ladies are crazy and the best of friends . Oh don't let me forget about the men of the Peoria book convention . They are so sexy and cut you just want to climb them . Underneath they are sweet and some what insecure , case in point Austin . He is built and the dream of most of the woman but deep down inside he seems to be the same little skinny boy who wanted his best friend .
When I got this book from the authors I couldn't wait to start reading it . I have never been to a book convention so I didn't know what I was into when I started reading . I couldn't believe how hysterical this book was and the characters are so lovable . You know you would have fun with these ladies .The authors combined a mystery with some zany antics of a book signing . The book is a fun fast read that had me laughing out loud through out . So check out the first book in a fun series . It will be great for your summer beach reads . Check it out

GOOD EVENING ALL
Good evening all , been busy on the farm and almost forgot about this one . DRUID'S CURSE (book 18 in the Haven Hollows series) by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain .
BOOK BLURB
Something Wicked to Haven Hollow Comes...
At least, I hope it’s not wicked.
What is it? A book.
But it’s not like any book you’ve ever heard of or seen before.
First off, it’s animated, and I swear it acts like a little dog, complete with a wagging red bookmark tail.
Secondly, the only person who can read it or see any of the pictures within the ancient and worn leather binding is my thirteen-year-old son, Finn.
The book, which Finn names ‘Vellum,’ randomly shows up outside my door at Poppy’s Potions one night and begs to be let in.
As if that weren’t enough to cause the hair on the back of my neck to sit up and take notice, Vellum has an owner. And a few days later, I meet that owner.
His name is Alixandre Osmont, and he’s a traveling magician. Only, he’s a magician who really possesses magic.
Not only that but there’s something about Alixandre that seems strangely… familiar, though I’m sure I’ve never set eyes on him before. Yet, my soul doesn’t seem to agree.
Oh, and Alixandre just happens to be gorgeous with a capital G, and he’s British and has a voice that could melt glass.
But I digress.
Anyway, while constantly reminding myself I have a caring, loving, and wonderful boyfriend in Marty, I can’t help but feel guilty regarding this strange and overpowering attraction I have to another man.
And, what’s stranger still is that Alixandre seems to return my same bizarre and confusing feelings.
It’s not long before my personal life is in turmoil, and that’s when I learn Finn is in trouble.
The only person I can turn to, the only person who can help me fight off the dark powers trying to gain control of my son, is Alixandre.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I do what any caring mother would—I go after my son and damn the consequences.
