                      MY REVIEW 

   Nissa is a half wizard and she can manipulate time , but that ends up in a tragedy . After that she heads home to Nowhere . Where she helps her mom run the local bar. Until the day her past comes back to haunt her when another supernatural comes asking for help. .  She tries to stay out of it but when a sexy werewolf named Blake comes sauntering into her life . Combine that with the dead body in the alley . What is a girl to do.

  This is one of the books that you instantly fall in love with the heroine . Nissa is sassy and clever but she is haunted by her past . Nissa is strong willed and feisty . I really enjoyed her  Blake is well he is sexy and does have a sweet side to him. They are such fun characters and you will truly get involved with them . There are also a pack of wolves that are like a cult that Nissa and Blake have to go against and there is one sexy vampire that you can't trust .

 For the first book I have read from this author , I truly enjoyed the book . The characters are well written and on the way to becoming complex . The story is a fun fast read ,I read it in an evening and I couldn't put it down . I love stories that flow easily and you can really get into the characters .  There is a mystery , intrigue and there is a romance also . There are some steamy scenes between Nissa and Blake so you get it all . So if you want a fun read to start Sept off check it out

  Good morning peeps , I can't believe it is the end of August where has the summer gone . Now it is pumpkin spice everything, which honestly I am boycotting this year . I am still wanting margarites and lake life and good books . Today I have for you book 20 in the Haven Hollow series . ANGORA ALCHEMY by Hp Mallory and J.R Rain .

                    MY REVIEW

 The gang is back and Wanda is not having a good week besides the fact she has gotten an invitation to her own funeral , trying to figure out her feeling for Lorcan .Her and her brother accidently created a child by blowing up a mannequin. Now she has to figure out her feelings and what to do with a child that can shape shift oh and find her brother who well disappeared . What's a witch to do .  

  OMG I am in love with this series and I am in love with Wanda she has been one of my favorite characters through out this series . Usually she is snarky and standoffish but in this book she is growing and becoming well lets just say more human. She is really starting to care for others more and more. She is truly growing up and taking care of the family that springing up around her.  Maverick is in this story and actually has a big part of the story . He is also growing up and realizing that he needs more family then he realizes . We find out what type of life he had before he got away from the coven and it explains a lot of why he is the way he is . Poppy and the gang are back and better then ever . Poppy is always the sunshine that people need . Lorcan is still as suave as ever. I have truly loved these characters and how they have grown . 

   I was so excited to get my hands on this book , yes I know it is book 20 in the series but this series isn't getting stale . I love how the authors make each book about a different character living in Haven Hallow. They have made it fun to read , you can just see all the characters moving around the town and you really get involved in their lives . The story is fast paced and action packed .  So if you want to a fun read check out this series . Add it to your reading list 

WELCOME TO THURSDAY

  Happy Friday eve all , its been a long week here and it is almost the weekend , hopefully a lake weekend . Today I have a creepy book for you from a new author to me . So lets dive into SOUP by Kate De Jonge

                       MY REVIEW

  Ashley McCormack is a corner for the Chanqusay morgue . She has been abused most of her life and secretly wants to get back to those that abuse and hurt women . She has a secret passion she loves to play with some of the inmates remains . Until the day they get a new way to cremate the bodies by liquifying them. Then the mysterious phone call comes in, will she or won't she do what is asked of this group of people . The offer they make is one offer she really can't refuse . 

 Ok I am going to say Ashley was honestly a character I wanted to hate well for obvious reasons what she is doing . But like all characters she does get under your skin and you learn to love her . She is one emotionally wrought person . She has so many scars that are hidden that will make you feel for her . She is a strong woman even though she has been through some horrific things . She is also a loner who really just wants to be alone and do here thing on the computer and her group of friends on line . She is complex and well written . I commend the author on the fact she made me actually like Ashley .

 This is a fast read , it is a novella that is only 72 pages . But in those 72 pages the author creates a dark gripping tale  which is highly disturbing. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat most of the way through . I have one wish that it could of been longer I really want to get to Ashley more and see if her dream does come true .  So if you want a creepy little tale for you October Halloween reads check it out .

  Welcome back to the circus , where things aren't what they seem to be . Bindi is the only one left. She isn't any closer to finding the answers to what happened to her best friends . The new girls are sweet and fun but they just aren't Halfrieda . With every answer that she tries to get the more questions there are . Laurent and Rex aren't helping in anyway . There are only answers in the dark room but even then there is more questions then answers . While she searches for the truth the more afraid she becomes . Hopefully that she can uncover the truth before it is too late. 

   Bindi and the guys are back and well they are what can i say but a little creepier and secretive. Bindi is starting to open her eyes and trying to figure everything out . She is stronger then she realizes and still sweet but guarded at the same time . Laurent and Rex are both just stoic and standoffish but they are both hiding something from everyone . There are some new characters that bring in a breath of fresh air . These characters are well written and you can see Bindi growing as she tries and figures everything out . 

  This is the second book in the series and it basically starts where the first book ends .  The story is well written and I love the characters . The story kind of moved just a little slower this time and there was more intrigue this time around . I really enjoyed this installment and how the characters have changed and grown .  This is a good read with good intrigue and some great characters . So if you want a good series that will take you into fall check it out .

  Good morning peeps , I am back after a few days off after the reader roundup , I needed to get my eyes uncrossed after all the book reading (lo).  Today I have for you SECOND CHANCE MAGIC (Order of Magic book one ) by Michelle M Pillow.

  Lorna is not having a good life , after an embarrassing , of what her husband has done . She is having a tough time trusting her judgement when it comes to people. Boy dating is out of the question also until the day she runs into William Warrick . Now she has to try and put her past with her dead husband behind . How does a widowed woman move on with her life can she try a was to get her ex to leave and let her move on or can she . 

  The characters in this book are well written . Lorna has had such a hard time of it . She has been humiliated and now doesn't trust herself . But she is stronger then she knows and with the help of her two best friend Heather and Vivian she realizes how strong she is . Will is well he is a sweet guy who is also sexy and kind . He is the perfect man for Lorna.  I truly liked these ladies , they are older and well can say they could be wiser or not and they are true friends until the end . 

 This is one of those books that starts off with a bang and then really takes off and has you laughing and on the edge of your seat through out . The characters are well written and loyal to each other .  I will admit that the book started out slow for me , but as you continue to read it does really pick up and you can't put it down. Over all I enjoyed the first book in this series and can't wait to see where the author will take these characters . So if you want a fun read for your fall reading list . Grab a pumpkin spice latte and snuggle down for a good read .

                      MY REVIEW 

   Kaitlin Davies is having a really bad night , she has been attacked by something and she is dying . When Michael against his better judgement saves her life with his bite, now he is drawn to her but there is more to Kaitlin then everyone realizes . Yes Michael the alpha of his wolf pack has some explaining to do when she is turned into a wolf .  He will take whatever they decide to do but they have to figure out why the students are being killed and then figure out that Kaitlin is both fae and now wolf . They have to help each other and try to deny the feelings that they both have and she has to choose between the life she wants and the life of a fae . If she survives the fight  well if anyone survives what is about to go down . 

 Ok I adore Michael and Kaitlin , they are such well written characters . Micheal is the alpha and oh so sexy and brooding . When he finds Kaitlin he is also conflicted when he saves her. Kaitlin is a human who well is more then a human but she doesn't realize what she is . She is a sweet and sexy woman who really is stronger then most people give her credit for . Together they will be a powerful pair . There are characters that come into the story that have been in other books but fit in seamlessly and help out everyone . They are so well written and complex and you can't help but love them all and cheer for them .

   This is one of those books that when you sit down and read you are swept away into a story that will have you engrossed and turning pages all night long. The author writes very sexy intelligent stories with a great twist on were wolves and vampires psst and vampires are the bad guys in her stories  which I love . The story is fast paced and so well written .  You can read this book as a stand alone, there are characters from past books that come up but you don't really need to know their past . They slip seamlessly into the story and you won't get confused at all . But after reading this book you will really want to get to know the rest of the wolves trust me on that one . So check it out and add it to your reading list and be ready for a fast paced intense book .

                     MY REVIEW 

 The Others Agency is a secret agency that keeps the others in the dark, Vampires were wolves and trolls and so much more . Rissa is one of the top agents , she can see under the mask and find those that are hiding in plain sight. It is her job to keep the secrets and clean up the messes of the others . There is one man in the agency that well has her heart and well he continues to break it . Especially when an old flame walks into his life and well he treats Rissa like crap and walks away from everything that they had . When someone goes after the one thing that Trevor and Rissa love the most , Jacob they must work together and try and keep their feelings to themselves and get to the bottom of what is going on. Rissa will put herself in the line of fire to save Jacob and put her life in danger for the safety of everyone . Will Trevor be able to keep it together long enough or will his stubbornness cost him everything . 

  I love the characters in this book . The author really writes such great complex main characters. Rissa is no exception. She is tough and in control but when it comes to the ones she loves it seems she is the giver . She gives everything to everyone but hides the fact that she is hurting . Especially when it comes to those she loves . She is also so stubborn sometimes you want to just shake some sense into her .  Trevor well he is sexy and alpha but he is also kind of tortured because of two women . There are moments that you just really want to slap him upside the head and scream at him for being such a jerk . He really puts his foot in his mouth quite a few times . I seriously think my favourite character is Cosmos , he is a light alien and he is a hoot . He makes sexual innuendos all the time and really loves to push Trevor's buttons . I seriously think that Cosmos is a tortured soul he may be big and brawny and scoffing at love . I truly think he wants love and to be loved .  There are so many characters that we get to meet through the book that all are part of Rissa's life . These characters are very well written and complex . The author took the time to make them lovable but with faults .

  This is one of those books that you can totally engrossed in . The characters alone will keep you entertained but the story line will have you flipping pages to see what will happen next. There are moments that I felt that the two main characters really needed their heads smashed together to knock some sense into them and it kind of dragged when they were doing the whole I hate you thing . Over all this is one of those books that you will love to read . So check it out and add it to your end of summer reading list .

                      MY REVIEW 

 Chapman Woolfe is way over his young head, he is forced to get a job to pay back a credit card debt to his dad . He is trying to get through school and is watching is best friend Gabe try and kick his drug addiction. Then in walks Aris the young waitress that boy oh boy he can't stop thinking about her . When a tragedy brings them closer together and they start to unravel the past and what legacy of pain has done to them . Will they be able to come out from under the pain or will the pain be the thing that pulls them down and cost them everything . 

 Ok there are  lot of characters in this book and I mean a lot . Chapman is up front and center as the young man who is conflicted and just trying to do what everyone wants of him. He kind of starts off as a naive young kid but as you read he really starts to grow up and stand up for himself . There is so much that happens to him, he really just wants things to be ok . Gabe is his best friend and he is one of those characters that you will just want to wrap up and hug . He is a tortured soul who well is drug addicted and you just feel the hopelessness in his demeanor . You will really care for him . Aris is a sweet girl who is doing her best to keep her and her dad safe. She is a strong young woman who will not take anything from anyone . There is a cast of secondary characters that will add so many twists in the story . From the older brothers to family members . Each of them play significant roles in the story and hiding secrets . 

  This is a ya book but I would say for older teens , there is violence and yes they talk about drug addiction but there is also a story of a young man trying to make his way through life and figure out what and who he is . The characters are well written and you really want to keep them safe . The story is relevant  in today's world and everyone knows someone who is going through drug addiction and trying to get clean and the pressures that go along with it. This is one of those stories that will have you shed a tear every now and then and maybe get a little angry with a few of the characters . I enjoyed this book but I felt like it kind of dragged in parts then all of a sudden it felt rushed at the end with all the reveals . Over all it is a really good book that will make you think and want to hug the ones you love just a little harder . So if you want a book that will give you all the feels check it out .

  Bailey is mourning the death of her parents, she is working hard at trying to not let their deaths overwhelm them.  Ryan is her best friend and well he loves her but can't get out of the friend zone for now . Until the day she finds out that she was adopted but she could be a missing child that was lost when she was a baby .  When things go from bad to worse the man she was dating is hiding a secret and she breaks up with him . Until the day that she is kidnapped and her life is ripped apart . Will Ryan and the gang find her before she is gone for good and will she be able to come to terms with her new life and the love that is standing right in front of her . 

    This is a story that has some really good characters . Bailey is a young woman who has a lot going for her . She has great friends and a good job and she had a great childhood . When she finds out that she was adopted she shows that she is up for whatever is going on to find out the truth. She is a little bombshell , she may act like she needs help but she is stronger then you know and will blow you away when things get tough. Ryan is the sweetest guy and he is there for Bailey for what every she needs and when push comes to shove he will move the world to find her and keep her safe . Along with her friends they have a great family unit and they would do anything for any of them . These characters are well written and you will love them . 

  This is one of those stories that has so much going on . There are friends to lovers , mystery and a striking family story. The author takes us on an a wild ride full of self doubt and love that defies the troubles of the main characters past . i found that I wanted to know what happened through out the book and was on the edge of my seat most of the time . There was one thing I felt like it could of been two books the part where Bailey was abducted and found then the story of her meeting her family and the emotions of what both those things did to her .I kind of felt it was just a little rushed . Over all I did enjoy this book and want to read more from this author . So here is another book for your summer reading list.

 The world has basically ended and the world's governments are useless against these megafirms that are taking over the world and running things  Leonard Kilbane is a resistance leader trying to thwart the gangs that are fighting for control. With his rag tag group they are taking down the rich and elite that are running the world . Will they be able to get back to a world that was before the fall or will the gangs win. 

 This is one of those books that has a main character that well defies what most characters are . Leonard Kilbane is a ghost a man of many characters that lead him to a life of intrigue He is strong silent and deadly . He is a torn man and wants to do what is right . He along with Bloodwolf are a just a few of the characters . They are all well written and complex . 

  This is one of those books that you will read and honestly use your brain sometimes through out . There is so much going on through out the book.  There is so much going on  you will be on the edge of your seat most of the way through . I found that sometimes it was a little over wordy and I think it was more sci fi then steam punk . But over all I really enjoyed this book so if you want a book that will have you on the edge of your seat and take you on a wild ride this is the book for you. Check it out .

The newly minted outlaws must also grapple with Queen’s narrow concept of “womanhood” and where trans and intersex people belong in its future.

                       MY REVIEW 

  Queen is the planet that once you are on it you don't get off . Ember is living on the women only plant where she hunts space pirates and mourns her wife's death . Until the day she is ambushed and dragged to the pirate camp . Where she finds out her wife's last project  an illegal ship to get them off the planet .  In the mean time Ember's sister Nadia is a scientist and she stumbles upon a secret flourishing ecosystem and a mining project that is making someone on New Earth very rich . But the scientists live in decaying housing , eking out a living in the cold . Ember ,Nadia and the sand pirates band together and take back the planet .With the help of the rabbits and beetles yes I said rabbits and beetles ( you have to read to find out more ) To determine the galactic placement of Queen and her inhabitants. The group must also grapple with Queen's narrow ideas of womanhood and where do the trans and intersex people belong 

  There are so many interesting characters in this novel . Ember well she is just surviving on this planet . She is stronger then she lets on but she is heartbroken over loosing her wife . She does come out a real fighter . Nadia well she is also a fighter , she left her husband to be with her sister and man she is smart and wants to figure out what is going on . I felt she is like the other side of Ember . Nadia wanted to keep Ember safe . There are also a whole cast of characters that are part of Ember and Nadia's life . The characters are very well written and complex . I think my favourite have to be the rabbits and the beetles not going to look at those animals the same way ever again . 

  This is one of those books where you get dropped into the story and it goes off from there . The characters are well written and the story is one of winning back your freedom .  You are transported to a place where you can come but you can't ever leave . This is the first story that I have read with a intersex character and the author did a great job of keeping the character real . The author also writes on where do the trans people fit in cause the planet was for women with vulva's . Its like real life in some chapters like where do people fit in and what happens when they don't . There is a romance in the book but it is lightly touched on . There is humor , rabbits and beetles . You have to read to find out but I will never looks at rabbits the same way again. So if you want a book that will make you think check it out.

After narrowly escaping Gate One of the Underworld, I find new threats and horrors facing me in Gate Two.

Led by the infamous Fallen God, Ruric, Gate Two is a land of black, onyx mountain and hordes of flying demons.

And Ruric is furious that Azhrea is dead, even though she was planning on wiping him out.

Men, right?

While I hope to defeat Ruric and move to Gate Three of the Underworld like yesterday (I am on a time crunch), I know I’m in for even more horrors.

Because Gate Three of the Underworld is lorded by the fierce Kanto, the King of Oblivion, and his level of the Underworld is a place that doesn’t so much mess with your body, but more with your head.

Take, for example, the white fog that fills the entirety of Gate Three and steals your memories as easily as it hides the deadly wraiths who live inside it.

I can only hope I survive Gates Two and Three of the Underworld so I can find out what awaits me in Gate Four.

                     MY REVIEW 

 Welcome back to hell , Pen and Adonis have made it to gate two and defeat Ruric fast  they are on a time line that is running out real fast. Well Ruric is peeved at Azhea cause well she wants him gone . Who knows what is going to go on and well gate three is just well a horror story. Kanto will just not only mess with your body but really screws with your mind . All Pen wants to do is get through the gates and get her mission done and bring her sister back . Will she and Adonis get through  the gates and will they survive . 

Penelope really gets put through the wringer in this installment . She is separated from Adonis and well is mentally abused . She is doubting herself and those around her . You know she is stronger then that and she starts to really show it . Adonis is also put through his own personal hell they both are led to believe that they aren't good enough . I am really liking the way the characters are growing and becoming more complex . 

 This is one of those books that you will devour , the characters are well written and complex and the take on Greek mythology is so much fun to read. The authors are a good writing team and you really get to know the characters well . This is one of the faster reads in the series and you will finish it in an evening . I truly enjoy this series and can't wait to see how they wrap it up . I am hoping for an epic battle for the last book . So if you want a good series check it out .
